We're going to bring in Nick Sainert, who was running the board and produced it last night for some of these ticket weeknight shows. And it's a part of the conversation. Now, I do have to share. I was talking to Rico about it. And I talked to Gwen and Amara.

Yep. And now it's pairs. You and Rico against Amara and Gwen. That's not good. Man, you guys are going to make me want to leave my co-host. What are you talking about? Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold. The last time we had the ticket bowling league? Yeah. Who was the champion? I don't know. I was not here.

This guy. What was your average? Do you know? I don't know. He's probably like 1-10? No. I did not carry my- I did not-

That would speak more to the other people on the office. I did not carry my team, but I was not last. So how were you champion? Because it was me and my squad. It was, it's the way that it worked

was you had listeners that joined the league and then there was a draft at the beginning and they chose who they wanted to be on their team. And the year before, I was the last pick.

I was going to say what people were here? That year, that year, that year, I think I was, that year, I think, I was like the third pick. I moved up in the world. Very proud of myself. Well, the way it should work is, uh, each of you would get plus 50 pins. So as a team, we'd be a hundred up. You're, you guys are plus 100. Okay. Facing these two young ladies. And we're going to, we're going to set it up so that we take, we'll take odds, right?

Yeah. Uh, we will, we will make, we will make gentlemen's wagers. Okay. Um, um, um, dinner will be purchased for the winners. Okay. A fine dinner. A regular dinner. Wow. Dinner for those who don't win. What's the difference?

Are we talking like steak and just burger? Oh, yeah. We're really talking. It may be like 7-Eleven hot dogs. Oh, wow. Like we're the roller grill items at Casey's. Right. Like those, the ones.

The best you can ask for. The late in the day. The tornadoes, whatever they're called. The roller grill items that just are pre-made that, you know, have been sitting on that roller grill since 6 a. Delicious. But not warmed up. Right.

It's really cold. Right. Like the ones from last night. Hey, before you throw those out, just give me those. Yeah. They already have them in the garbage bag, but, hey, before you take them out. Look, I'm just saying, you know, I know, I know y'all are national champions, but I'm a ticket bowling league champion.

It's champion on champions. That's the problem. Because that's equal, right? It's totally equal. Y'all went against, you know, other teams and colleges from, you know, around the country that had, you know, bowlers that are great from all over the country. But, you know, I was facing, you know, Lincoln's probably not best. Here's the problem with me and Rico on a team. So I will do all the talking pre-match.

Like, last night, I was doing all that. And Rico, the only problem with him is that he does it before the match, but then he'll also do it while we're there. 100% dirty. And we can't do that. They are going to pummel you. Yes, exactly. And I am well aware of that. I was well aware of it when I said that I was going to be able to be competitive last night.

But it's before the match. The minute we show up to Sun Valley, I am not talking in a smack. You got to back it up, man. You got to keep it going to back it up. You got to back it up. So I don't know why I would need to talk with the talk. So text line, I'm going to ask you, how many pens do Rico and Nick need to compete with? two members of the national champion Huskers bowling team.

How many pins do you think they should ask for, beg for, plead for? Do we get the pins? Like the Vegas betting line. Like what's the over under? I think like 75 pins would be a good. 74 and a half. 74 each? Yeah.

Yeah. No, no, 50. We're fine. 50 each. We're fine. No, Rico, think about that. Like, that's like a two. It's a basic math.

It's like a two. I don't need it. That's them having to. Even if they don't bowl a perfect game, which is really possible. They're not going to bowl a perfect game. I would not take that out of the equation. I'm going to be in their craniums. I think this needs to be a fundraiser.

The brawl for it all. Like let me. I'm going to be right. I'm going to be right up in there. The brawl for it all, we'll have, we'll invite some listeners to be there to heckle and cheer, right? I think that would be fair. All I'm saying is. Do we want, do we want, we want listeners there, right?

bring my trophy with me too. Oh, my gosh. All I'm saying is, like, think about it, Rico. Can you imagine him showing up a football? You know what the trophy is? Do you know what the trophy is? It's probably a pin. It's a bottle.

Oh. With a stick on it. All I'm saying is, like, think about it. Even if they don't bowl a perfect game, which is, perfect game is a possibility. They're not going to. There's a possibility of it. No.

Even if they don't, like, 275 to 200 a piece, like, that's me bowling a really good game for me, 200? And that's still only 75 pins. I'm getting to 220. Rico, whatever. Can I take my... You got to carry your weight.

Can I take my own bets on Rico over 219. Yes. Because I will go under 219.5 for Rico. Yes. So we'll have... I'm not getting to 200. No, we've made the line. I'm not getting to 200.

We'll have... But this is what we were talking about. But this is what we were talking about. This is what we were talking about last night. You know where I'm bald. The average person who bowls... thinks, okay, I bowl. Like, I bowl, and I could bowl on that level.

No, you can't. I got like a 175 average. No, yeah, it's like, no, you don't. If you had a 175 average, you would be doing something else. Like, you would not be. It's not what that was. Well, Rico, so I was telling them last night, and DP was there as well, obviously, but I don't put spin on the ball.

I just throw a flat out rocket. Same. Oh, we're made for each other. No, I'm not perfect. I tried once, it's impossible. I can't do it. I don't know how they do it. My buddies, they bowled in high school.

We did. We kind of made fun of them for it, but it was anyway. But they two-hand bowl. What? And I can't two-hand bowl either. I jokingly said that's how Nick bowls, like, two-handed, you know. But no, like, their way, it's like an actual two-hand bowl. Like they run and they're like, yeah.

Yeah, but we joked that I just push it down the little plastic dinosaur thing that you just used to go straight. You know the stuff that L.E. probably uses. Oh, yeah, she does. Yeah. Rico, I requested bumpers. they said no. I was going to say, do we get the 50 and the bumpers? Yeah.

Because if you give me, A, if you give me the bumpers, I'm putting so much power behind that, it doesn't even matter. See, I was always the problem. Being a baseball player, I wanted to see how hard I could throw it. So I was always that guy that kind of wound up and just went full throttle at it

and then see the miles per hour up on the screen. So I wasn't too concerned about the actual bowling part of it. Look, I just concerned about the monster. I need one warm up game and I'm good to go. I don't know if we get warm up games. We probably don't. Oh, they want you to warm up so they can laugh. I bet.

And they can just, they're going to throw one ball each. They're going to let you do a full warmup. They're going to throw one ball each. You better, uh, you better bring the coach. So in case, uh, he needs a new recruit. Hey, I think I, I might have some, some one year, one year eligibility. COVID year. Bring your year.

Bring that extra scholarship money that you've been hanging on to. I got you. Any NIL? Any NIL possibilities. Hey, if I win, I get your ring. If you win, you get my trophy. It's a fair trade. Yeah.

Yeah, I think they would probably say no. I think there's several. So I think we need to pick a date and then we actually need to, like, promote this. I mean, we need to promote this. And we'll invite. How many listeners do you want to invite to this? I need a whole cheering section. Right?

Well, they're not cheering for us. They're either going to be cheering for you or heckling you. And I need signs. Yeah, right? Like you want to. You could try and heckle me. You're not going to get in my head. I got you.

It's a steel trap. New partner. Where do I fill it out? Where do I fill out the request for? He's asking to trade you before the first competition. That's fine. You're going to get worse? I don't care.

It's the idea. Bro, you trading me away is like trading away Tom Brady. What are you doing? Hey, how did it feel as a Patriots fan, him not mentioning you guys in your retirement? He's going to have another post for the Patriots is fine. This was his buck's post. Yeah, but you're the X, Rico. We don't get the first post.

You're the X. We get the DM the like, hey, you know I still love you. Because the Patriots posted something, but Tom Brady did not. You know, I still love you. You know, Tom, he's texting hoodie. You know I love you. You know you still my dude, right? You're still my number one.

Also last night, again, the entire Skagin family. Oh, that was fantastic. Like, isn't dad, like, the dutiest of dudes? Oh, they all are. Like, they all came in with so much swag. So it was kind of funny. so I was calling the game at Southwest and I was telling them this. So Amy Williams' daughter, it's kind of cool when you go to Southwest

because Amy Williams' daughter, Kennedy, plays on Southwest, and then Chuck Love's son plays on varsity. He's just a freshman. Going to be a really, really good player down the road. Either way, they were sitting like two rows in front of me while I was calling the game. And I was thinking to myself like, oh, who's that family that's sitting with them? Had no idea. Then they roll in, and I'm like, oh, that makes so much sense.

So Ashley Skaghan's family went to Southwest with Amy Williams, Chuck Love, their whole family, and was watching some high school basketball on Saturday night. It was super cool. It's like cool to think that they're all like friends like that. It's really cool like the atmosphere. It's really awesome to think about that way. Mom Skagen is unique. Is that a fair statement?

In a good way. Yeah. Yeah. Like she's a coach and a former player. Them talking about who the best shooter, scorer was. Like I thought mom was like grab a ball. Like we're going to settle this right now.

Yeah. I'm still the best score in the family. I mean, they got a court. I mean, it's not like they can't settle it. Well, they went to practice. They were in PBA as well. They'll be there tonight. What a cool, like, that's a cool family.

It was funny. So I was standing up front when they were heading out and heard Ashley's dad was like, all right, Ashley, I don't know what you have planned tonight, but you're going to go home and watch film on Rutgers. She's like, you got to get in the right mindset for your game. And I'm like, all right, it's worked however many years that she's been playing basketball. Let's keep it working. Keeps so.

I was trying to hit all the details of her explaining how difficult it was for her to get into Nebraska. That recruiting story, I think I heard you guys talking about it already, but where she reached out and Chuck Love reached right back out, like within minutes. That's super cool. I mean, like I said, it makes you feel good about where the program is and the leaders in charge of that program, right? So it's super cool to think about it that way. It was a good evening. And then the Joe Burrell's brother story was.

That was wild. Yeah, didn't ever talk to Nebraska. So I wanted to be very, like Nicole asked like a similar question ahead of time. And then once he like got into the interview and we got deep, I was like, I just have to ask it. I have to. I have to. It's necessary. I was like, I need, I hate bringing it up because there's always that talk about Joe Burrow and Nebraska.

But did they ever talk? I would like, and I know it's a lot of work. But for listeners, I like for you go and find out. the podcast for those three shows because last night's weeknights was just fire yeah for those four shows as a matter of fact because uh swimming and diving to have them come in and just take over the studio and get to work was pretty phenomenal um but do that but i'd also like for us to share those some of those clips because it was deep it was fun to uh to kind of deal with okay we'll throw it to break hold on what he was it our guy guess who is it Dominique yeah we have to say we shout out

out to Dominique. My man. Right, for listening. Is he from Texas? He told me he was from Texas. I hope everything is going. I think his birthday is this month. Really?
