And so we will get back to kind of the Big Ten media poll. And they've also released, or I think it was USA Today that released their all Big Ten teams, which will lead to our conversation in the second hour, specifically about if Dr. Corey Barney is. Nebraska's biggest threat on offense. And we'll start to talk some special teams and even some

rush defense that I wanted to get into a little bit later on. But for this segment, I want to talk about fan day because we know fan day coming up around the corner now. They do this every year. Not this Saturday, but the next Saturday, August 8th will be fan day for Nebraska fans. An interesting time. I was a couple years ago, I was wondering if we would make it this far with the NIL era. obviously everybody wants to get paid for everything. And so you still have a Fanday where you can go out and get autographs. And I don't think they'll charge you. Maybe they might have a little, a little bit more thing.

I'm not really sure. But I think as of right now, most of the Oscars at least will be there and be able to sign autographs. Of course, it is big lines. I'm expecting a hot day if it's anything like the last couple of days. But Fanday really is a good thing. and I'm glad it's still here because I know a lot of people have made some some special memories over the years. Did you ever ever go to Fandy Harrison get a ball signed or anything? No, and I wish I would have all the way with Northeast Nebraska.

My parents love Husker football, but they're like, hey, we got jobs and stuff. We're not. That'd be a big trip. We're not driving three plus hours just to go get, you know, a signing or whatever. It is great. I'm glad that, you know, still free. I think college football dies a day. We charge 13 year olds for, you know, signing of football.

but no, I mean, it's fantastic. It is a great way for all the complaints that we have about Husker football, it still stirs the drink. Like it is still just a powerhouse. It gets people excited. There's a lot of pessimism around it. But now that August is right around the corner next week, it's officially August. Like, people will be excited.

So it's good to have this. Get the young kids excited. Have an opportunity. Go see their favorite players. Yeah, yeah. I think the last time I went to Fan Day was maybe, oh, now I'm dating myself a little bit. like 2011.

And I just remember because back then, you know, Levanti, David, I was trying to get all the black shirts. I don't think I got the defensive line. Like, you got to chew. You're not going to go

and get everybody's auto go. There's just not enough time. And the lines back then were just so long for certain players, obviously at that time. And so I had to make my choice. And who specifically I was going to get. Who did you get?

Well, I got, I remember I basically had to, I got the linebackers and the defensive backs. I was trying to get all the black shirts, didn't get the defensive line. And if you remember that year specifically, we had a preseason All-American type on every, every line of the defense.

So I got Levante, David, and Alfonso dinnered and all the other players that are obviously in those position groups, but did not get Jared Craig. So I'm going to have to run him down sometime. See if I can find that ball. Actually, to be honest with you, I don't know what happened to that ball. I don't know where that ball is now. I mentioned it. So I guess I don't have that ball anymore.

Maybe I do carried away somewhere. You can't ever show interest in that? I guess I don't know how old your kids are yet. He's, yeah, my, my oldest is five. Okay, so he probably doesn't. No, no. Real interest yet. I'm going to try to steer him that way eventually, but right now, he, he knows and I

kind of teach him that he's a, he's a Oscar fan and that sort of stuff, but I don't know. What does that look like steering him towards Oscar football? Is it just like occasionally playing like 90s, Husker football when he walks through? Oh, I mean, he knows go big red. We've been to like the spring game and we've, I've done a couple things to kind of introduce him to that. The other day, we, so when he was a baby, we had a, uh, it's funny because kids always are funny.

We had a picture of him as a baby, like, you know, maybe three months old or something in a little Husker uniform or a Husker, like, branded T-shirt or whatever. And he just looked at it and said, oh, I was a Husker fan as a baby too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely were. Yeah, you've always been a Husker fan, of course.

I hope you're not steering him towards the car calls. I don't know. I don't know if I want to do that to him. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Might be some wisdom in your age of steer him in another dream. for that one. Yeah, yeah, I might just let him choose his own NFL team. That didn't go over well for me. So we'll see. Although Jacobi Resett is now signed in, so we know our starting

quarterback's not angry right now. So that's good. But yeah, sure, man, whatever you guys yourself over there. But it's interesting, especially with a fan day too, because I remember like the Scott Frost years, just the lines for certain people are crazy. I don't know where the lines are good. Like, what's the biggest line this year? Calandria rules. Yeah, it's a good question. I'd say Cole Andrea probably. Yeah. Right. Yeah, I think so. Maybe maybe maybe the I'm going to go coin. Andrea. I'll lock it in. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. I don't know if there's a that's, I mean, that's where we are. I don't think there's obvious like all big 10 or future. Maybe Marshall has some. If you got some ball noers that want to go over to him. Yeah. We'll see. We'll see. Who gets the biggest
