Thank you, folks.
Hello.
Mary Ellen's Food for the Soul.
The actress bakery.
Sandhills Global.
We love you guys.
Canopy Street Market with the goods.
All of it.
They look you have a super, super, super wine selection.
So, bravo.
Kudos.
It's a really nice.
Like, I've been down there a couple of times.
It's a really nice little store.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Lots of stuff going on in there.
Yeah.
Oh, my goodness gracious.
Somebody, so I had my top five, right?
And I didn't think anybody would get to any of my top five.
But here's what I'll do.
And here's the option.
So two vouchers.
If you get any of my.
top five
I will give you a pair of vouchers for salt dogs
I've just come by and get them
and if you get my number one
Beatrice Bakery, chocolate rub cake
I wonder what your number one is
right fair
is that fair that's fair
more than fair good space but it starts
now
right meow it starts right now
so if you've texted in some stuff
right now
It starts right now.
And it's, I can say you guys have been around it.
Top five sports movies ever.
Which person?
But I need your, I need your, I need the listener's top, top movie.
Was it one of the unnamed texters or was it Sten?
Sten gets vouchers.
Which one is it?
42.
It's a great movie.
42 is in my top five.
It's in my top five also.
In my top five.
My top five doesn't matter.
two tickets, two vouchers.
Brian's song, unnamed, unnamed texter.
Who is that?
I don't know.
They have to send a name in.
08.
Oh, wait.
You got to give us your name.
3308.
Send in your name.
You got to get in.
You got to get in.
Thomas and Lincoln, you're in my top 10.
The blonde side is in my top 10.
That's a good one.
Yeah, yeah.
Remember the Titans is in my top 10.
In my top 10.
Major League is in the top 10.
Good call.
You guys are good.
You guys are on fire.
You're in the top 10.
There's three left.
There's three left.
Saturday night.
There's three left.
There's three left.
I can say this.
Can you give a sport or would that possibly give it away?
Their football moves.
The other four.
So 42 is in.
Right.
Would they get?
Brian's all?
Yeah.
That was one of them.
Yep.
Is that one of them in your top five?
Yeah.
Which one?
Brian'song?
Yes.
Okay.
So that was, I think that was.
08.
08.
08, yeah.
Replacements is in top 10.
3.308.
Top 10.
Top 10, but not top five.
Right.
This is football.
One of them is, actually two of them are old school.
Old school.
Old school football movies.
I feel like I might know one of them,
but I don't remember the title of the movie.
Old school football movies.
Is it funny?
Yes.
Very funny.
I think I know which one it is.
But again, I don't remember the title,
so I can't help anybody.
Thomas and Lincoln, you already won.
Aaron!
aired with the delivery. There it is. North Dallas 40. North Dallas 40 is so good. Uh,
the longest yard. I don't know who said it first. Who said it. Who said it? Who said it? The original.
Uh, the, uh, that, hold on. I got. And then Scott H. Scott H. The program. That's the one.
That's the one. The program. The program. Those are, those are my top five. And I,
A lot of people said it in the longest yard.
I think it was Kelsey?
The original longest yard
because it was
the first, like, best made
football movie, right?
Where they gave a crap about the football
that was being played at it.
Another really good, the paper line.
So George Plympton was a renowned
writer and sports columnists
and football fans.
Right? So he's a Detroit Lions fan.
So somehow he convinced the Detroit lines to allow him to come to training camp and try to be like a quarterback.
Oh.
And this is back in the 70s, I want to say.
Maybe late 60s or early 70s.
And it had a lot of the actual Detroit lines in the movie.
So it started out as a book.
And then Alan Alda from Mash played George Plympton in the movie.
Oh.
It's really good.
Like, it's really good.
And it shows him they did some things.
Waterboy is top 15.
Waterboy's top 15.
Any given Sunday's top 15.
So which one is number one?
Number one.
Did somebody get it?
42 is number one.
Okay, so who got.
That's, oh, I got to scroll down a bit.
Hopefully they didn't text in again after they sent it in.
Yeah.
Oh, they definitely did.
The last boy got it's really good.
I got to find them.
It's really good.
That's another.
This is not going to be fun.
The one who got it first.
I don't know.
Yeah, I don't remember who it was.
But the paper line would be one that you would probably want to go and see.
You could find it online.
Pretty good stuff.
Friday Night Lights.
Sten.
So Sten.
Sten gets the cake.
Yes.
Yes.
Friday Night Lights is so good in the football.
The football was very good.
Like the actual football playing was very good.
when it comes to football movies,
old school football movies,
but I'm trying to think there's another one that I'm missing.
Little Giants is really good.
It's a great one.
It's really good.
Spike don't play with boys.
There's one with George Clooney,
the leatherheads, leatherheads,
where the football's actually pretty good as well.
I just, so Mark gave me like a collection of DVDs,
and that was one of them that I decided to keep.
keep so I'll have to watch that please watch that please watch that if we are
Marshall was in that was in what we were talking about earlier and on old school
we are Marshall makes me cry I'm sorry somebody oh that's hilarious that is right here
that is right here oh what's the what was the name from from from all the right
moves uh Georgio what was what was Tom Cruise's name that's really good
Have you seen all the right moves?
I have not, no.
With Craig T. Nelson as the head coach.
Again, it's like to him being on, getting his own show with this.
Yes, the Express is exceptional.
But Tom Cruise plays a linebacker in Pittsburgh Town,
and it's the older, it's the other Penn brother who played football movies.
And then really good, like really good storytelling.
Man, yeah, that's really good.
I may have to reconsider it.
That was really good.
I was laughing at this unnamed text that said,
AirBud's not in your top five.
No, I'm sorry.
I missed that train.
You know what, Fred?
That one gets you cake.
Fred Nott of Hoiburg gets you a cake.
He goes, did anybody mention heaven can wait?
Which hits me on several levels.
Warren Beatty, who went to my high school.
He and his sister, Shirley MacLean is his sister.
Not everybody knows that.
Yeah.
Warren Beatty and Shirley Maclean are their siblings.
And they both went to Washington Valley High School in Arlington.
He plays Joe Pendleton, who is a quarterback for the Rams, who through his training,
was in an accident, but the angel pulled him from the scene too soon.
He wasn't supposed to go.
So they try to find a way to put him back.
into an athlete's body so he can play.
He then becomes, they put him back and he becomes owner of the team
who then wants to try out for the Rams as they're on the Super Bowl tribe.
And the best part of it is they put, they had like Deacon Jones,
Marlonosa Roosier.
Like they had, they had the Rams from like the fearsome for some in the movie.
And he plays a quarterback really good.
Really good.
Thomas, you won.
Thomas won vouchers.
Vouchers.
Thomas won vouchers.
Sten one cake.
Fred just one cake.
Fred just won cake.
Invincible.
What I love is that they were, they made an effort with the football.
And I actually loved the not Eagles football in Invincible.
When they're just playing, what is him with his friends playing.
Yeah.
Was really good football.
Really good football.
I am absolutely an over-the-top guy.
I have absolutely an over-the-top guy.
Like, anything that was, like, wrestling and or, like, arm wrestling,
yeah, I'm in.
Like, I'm all in.
Varsity Blues is easily one of my 10 most quotable movies.
I give it a 10.
10.
10.
I give it a 10.
Give it a 10.
Yeah, the program.
And then Aaron, you also want to.
Yeah.
vouchers.
Aaron won vouchers as well.
So there's full in there.
Replacements again, because that was
replacements because I was there in the building
when they were doing this stuff.
So the vouchers you can use for any game coming up.
Joe says this thing on.
Grit Iron Gang was really good messaging.
But what's the other one that the Rock played in
where he's a football player and he has like an adopted daughter?
No, it's not adopt.
It's his real daughter.
daughter.
Oh, what is that called?
I just watched it the other day.
Ali is its own, to me,
Ali is in its own space.
Just because it took so much work.
Raging Bull.
Boxing, there's certain ones, like,
Raging Bull is epic.
Oh, Joe B.
Joe B, I'm going to give you vouchers for that one.
Great pull.
Vision Quest.
Vision Quest was a wrestling movie.
Game plan.
That's the way.
Oh, yeah, game plan.
Vision Quest.
Joe B, vouchers for you.
Got two vouchers for you for the Salt Dogs.
That was really good.
Like that, oh my goodness gracious,
you guys were on fire today.
Miracle, which was one of the ones that we were talking about.
But yeah, Ali was exceptional because Will Smith just had to kind of transform himself into it.
That's what I like by him and DeNear.
Boxing movies allow you to transform.
Like it forces you to.
A million dollar baby.
Yeah.
It forces you.
to join in there.
So, all right, we'll throw it to break.
We'll close it out.
I had a text in the phone.
