4-2, 4-6-4-5-6-85, Sauter Heppetech's Line, DP. With you. Let's get it. I want to talk about, I want to pick your break. Talk a little bit about some good things happening. In sports and entertainment. In Lincoln, Nebraska. Now the water has ceased and the storm has moved along.

It was an interesting, loud, dark afternoon here in the capital city. And we made it through, yes, I'm hanging out with you live on a Wednesday night. I'll be here Thursday night as well. Young Kayla started back in the building. Back in town, back in the building. lots to talk about. When a Husker bowler sits atop of the

Women's Professional Bowling Association wins the seasonal tour, triple crown effort. We can say there's a handful of people in Lincoln, Nebraska, that can tell you, we told you so. We told you that she was her. She was her.

From day one walking into the the old studio and seeing this, this docile, almost timid, uh, freshman in a corner. Just kind of curling up around, uh, her, her, her senior teammates. And shout out to Amara Smith Spates in Chicago doing the dang thing, especially with the grad degree and Gwen Maya, who I had, uh, a meal with, got to break bread with her in Hawaii when the Huskers went. to Hawaii for the tournament, Gwen and I,

and she shared her home space with me, and I am forever grateful for that. Shout out as well. Lady Crystal Elliott, also in the space. Also on the tour. Caleb Strange, she's on the tour. There's Coach Julia Bond. There are tons of Huskers, Shannon Plushki.

There's lots of Huskers on the women's tour, and they're doing the dang things. So shout out to Coach Clempa. And the Husker bowling program for being exceptional, but being on top as she wins the 2026 professional women's bowling association tour title. Had to get it done late in the match, 10th frame action, Jillian doing the dang thing. So Jillian, wherever you are, shout out.

Proud of you. We're rooting for you as always. but good to see and good to watch the young Huskers get out there. Speaking of, I've got to watch a little Brent Banks with the packets Saturday night, Saturday. So that was pretty cool to watch. There's tons of Huskers getting around.

Of course, everybody's looking at Emmett. But there's some other folks who are out there doing the dang thing, and it's interesting, watched Adrian Martinez with the Niners. in the second half getting it done. It's just really good. It does offer some questions because if these Huskers are having as much success as they are, professionally, you would want to see it show up here.

You would want it to show up on campus, and that's a different question and a different breakdown. But it's the thing that you watch, watching Delano Banton in the NBA do his thing along with Bryce McGowan's and then you ask the question, okay, so what goes? But all things are exactly as they are. You have to go through exactly what you have to go through to get to where you exactly where you get to. And there's no shortcut. And sometimes in the lessons we learn and talk to Bryce a few weeks ago, it was that the lessons that you have to learn in the struggle,

that's required actually shapes you and you need. You know, we've talked about what it would have been like to stay an extra year, but where that would have put him, and it doesn't mean that he'd be in a better situation than he currently is. He is in the space that he's supposed to be in. And Bryce being a man of faith, he walks with that, that he is exactly where God intended for him to be, when God intended for him to be there.

but his run and getting the long contract with the Pelicans, again, gives us another reason to watch and be proud. Of the former Huskers, of course, Kyle Perry, bananas tour a year ago. He's down with one of the other programs, but he's,

they're going to do banana balls like a tournament at Nats Park in D.C. where all of the teams, all of the branches of banana ball will go through and participate and they'll be there in the stadium and in town doing what they do. And I, this is, this is, this is the blessing and the Curse Hall at the same time. So that's October 10th. I believe it's October 10th. And immediately, it's either October 10th or October 3rd.

No, it's October 3rd. And the reason why I should know that is that Maryland plays Nebraska in football here. Maryland plays Nebraska in volleyball there. So I could technically I could go to D.C. And watch volleyball and Cal Perry in the bananas. But I would have to miss football. but I would also have to miss UFC in Salt Lake City. And the history of UFC in Salt Lake City is

some really cool stuff happens when they fight in Salt Lake City. This is the emergence. This is where champions get done. I mean, I think Alex Pereira and Israel, Adasania, as everybody in the building left, left with their jaw on the floor. The last two Salt Lake events have been both exceptional events.

So I will have to, as they say in UFC, bite down on your mouthpiece and just figure out what I'm going to do. I'm also in that space where next Tuesday, next Wednesday is when I should have a, I have to have a decision. Tuesday will be a part of a lecture on campus

and university in Nebraska. First course is that Tuesday at 25th. So I got to be in town for that. Then the next day, head to Dallas, Arlington, Texas, to be formal, for Nebraska volleyball. And that, you know, that's the Florida Gators. Got friends and family on that side of that with the Gators.

It'll be, again, interested to see what the layout will be out in what is the evil empire, the mothership of the evil empire in Jerry's world, but the volleyball layout should be interesting. It should be interesting. Also, like the vantage points, having been in that building several times, one great building. And it has every video screen that you could possibly imagine, every angle, literally there's a big screen staring you in the face. No matter where you are in the stadium. I'd be curious to see.

Maybe on the break, I'll check and see what, how many tickets have been sold. Maybe young Wyman, you can Google and see if there's any way. to tell how many tickets have been sold for this thing. But to see what that is, right? Because Jerry's not trying to do a thing and do it, you know, casually. He wants us to be an event. And then, so that meet is on the 27th. And on the 29th, the Huskers are in Vegas to take on the running rebels of UNLV.

shout out Everett Gray, my dude, we will be in your town. To go out for that, that's going to be at T-Mobile Arena on the 29th, and then on the 30th, they'll be back to back, and it's going to be a thing. Hands will be thrown. And I don't want to, I hate calling it a rematch, but it is a facing of giant. Knows to Knows, Nebraska versus Texas. Texas got the last blow in and coming to this thing as the reigning defending national champions in volleyball.

And Nebraska can't fix what happened a few months ago, but they can set the tone for this season. They did that last year on the regular season run, undefeated regular season run. this win I don't know it'll be interesting to see what the status, how the team approaches this. They want to win.

They want to win and think they should win. But this is, you know, all of these are, let's not put all the eggs in one basket sort of deal. But I certainly think they feel like they're capable of winning this thing.

Young Wyman, sir, what did you find? So as of today, Early reports, roughly 82,900 tickets have been sold for the events. You shut up. You shut up. That is for the entire event, not just the single match. So for the entire weekend, two days, two days, two days. Yep.

And that's pretty. But I would imagine that there's only two games. How many games are being played there? How many matches are there? Because you'll have Nebraska, Florida. You'll have Penn State SMU, and then followed by the chance. championship matches. There's three matches. So three matches. Yeah. So that's a, that's a full. Wow. There's still tickets available right now. Upper deck. So when is the, when is the championship?

I believe it's followed by the following day where you have the two teams. So the 28th? I believe so. Or it's the same night. I doubt it's the same night because the first match is seven and seven and eight. There's no way you're playing in nine o'clock, especially the way volleyball rolls. You know that there's no clock. So then maybe we'll be traveling for the morning of the 29th, which is a good thing I checked that because the plan was to go to go from Dallas to Vegas on the 28th. But if the matches the 28th, then it's all in the same night per the schedule here. So doors open 6 o'clock, first semifinal Nebraska, Florida, 7 o'clock, the second semifinal Penn State SMU to follow, championship match after that one. then at 11 o'clock

per the schedule 11 o'clock Dallas time per the clock here and the television network is obviously What kind of wacky weed have they been participating in an 11 o'clock first serve

per each match buckle up okay well let it be let it be said okay get that coffee in you yeah I mean that's that's the thing and so because and I was just painting you the picture of what this would look like so imagine going to

Dallas, now what could be two matches. Going to Vegas, so I would imagine going to Vegas on the morning of the 29th because the game, the match 29th is against UNLV, but it's at 7 o'clock. It's either 7 o'clock or 9 o'clock. So there is some time to get there. We make no assumptions because of the way travel currently goes, which, you know, gives me all. the ick. It gives me all the

ick to not know. There used to be a time when I could, you could plan. You could plan. And it's affecting everything because I don't remember the last flight anywhere that I got out on time and got in on time. As a matter of fact, I can't recall it

where there was less than 90 minute delay most often all the way up until nine hours of delay to get anywhere. So the idea of building these these this this itinerary over being in a town uh at a particular time for a ballgame which means i just have to suck it up and spend the night and then get up first thing in the morning which is really wonderful and miserable especially finding out that i could be a jerry

world till one o'clock uh the night before so and then to go to Vegas uh that's three days in Vegas. And then I thought, okay, what do we do? Do I come back to Lincoln from Vegas? Spend two days and then no. And then I went, no. Because they play on the 4th of September in Chicago against DePaul. And that's at DePaul's home center. And a part of me is just like just go to Chicago and get it done. But no, because I don't know, on September 5th, there's a little thing going on back here. Little event, no, no, no, no, his opening day against the Ohio Bobcats. And so getting back here on the first makes more sense than going straight to Chicago.

Watching the game here and then Sunday morning flying to Chicago. hoping that everything works out and there's no delays or rerout for 2.30 for serve at Wrigley Fee. I'm in back here and I would think that for Labor Day I sleep.

It's just what I would imagine. But it's everything you ask for. It's everything you want. And quite the run, quite the opening season run. I love the event at PBA last year. Love the event. I love the vibe. I love what downtown and what Haymarket felt like and look like with all the additional

volleyball players and all the additional fans. Loved it all. Love the spirit of the venue and the surrounding areas. It was exceptionally done. Well done. I would imagine that Jerry World is going to put on all sorts of a festival leading up to this thing. So that's the thing that I need to get there early to Dallas. I would imagine that there's the full carnival effect going to happen. And that's a really cool get-in. I don't like to say many nice things about the evil empire, but what I can say is that the stadium and game presentation is top tier. Top tier.

And then once you're inside, I don't think there's any place better once you're in the stadium. Other than the fact that as World Cup highlighted, that there's the glass panel sometimes can crack through and you just say, Jerry, paint the windows, bro. Paint the windows. Or get shaded window. Like, just do that.

Like, it's not, I mean, I know you want solar paneling and you know, you want all this stuff, but hey, bro, hook up your fans and your players because, you know, you want to deal with that. So it's quite the run. And then I have to be back that Tuesday after Labor. day because we have another class. So, yeah, that's, that's quite the run that we're talking about. And if you're driving around and or if you, if you have this and you look at

with something to do tonight, head on over to Hibner. Head on over to Hibner. Huskers hosts tomorrow night. They host Notre Dame. Tickets are affordable. I believe G.A. seats are nine bucks. middle area, midfield, $13. So I would say 10 and 15 after tax fees, whatever.

But certainly doable. And it's a good matchup against Notre Dame. And they're home the full week. And then, of course, the salt dogs are home. And I do want to kind of invite folks down there to take some swings. Whiteman, you and you and Gomez, you and Tristan need to be there. I'm going. I'm going.

I already haven't marked my calendar. Yeah. Kayla Smith was talking. He's like, yeah, he needs to go. Raya said she wanted to take some hacks. Kayla, Kayla, Starr thinks of her stuff. As a matter of fact, I know she was a softball player. So I would imagine that this is kind of the trend.

It's the last one of the year. But I'll give a listener an opportunity.
