Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to one-on-one with DP on 93-7 The Ticket and The Ticketfm.com. Final segment of one-on-one. Appreciate you guys hanging with us on a Monday. I hope that at some point today, the words of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. have resonated with you. And we hope that you will continue to support Husker athletics, even when it does not have the level of success that you want for it to have. those are still the sons and daughters of the University of Nebraska. They are still worthy of being supported. A couple of things from Dr. King.
Starting point is 00:00:43 And this one, I love this one. I want to be the white man's brother, not his brother-in-law. Ooh, we. Even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. A right delayed is a right denied. He also said the hottest place in hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict. He also says, we must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
Starting point is 00:01:27 The quality, not the longevity of one's life is what's important. A general leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a molder of the consensus. The moral arc of the universe bends at the elbow of justice. And as far as I'm concerned, this one ranks. I am not interested in power for power's sake. But I'm interested in power that is moral, that is right, and that is good. He gave us words to live by his actions matched. Take time today.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Just consider what it will be like if we were kinder, better. more decent to each other, regardless of race, creed, color. That's what we asked for it today. We should ask for it every day, but at least today we have additional cause to do so. Rico, what do you expect to see tonight at Pinnacle Bank Arena? I don't know, because the last time I said I expected Nebraska to come out with some passion and, you know, something to play for. They got boat raced by 30 against Purdue. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:51 They played them really close to first time. And I've said before that if, if Trey was playing that I believe that they would have won that game. He's going to play. He's not going to play a lot in this game, hopefully. Well, hopefully he plays. We'll see if he plays a lot. I don't think he will.
Starting point is 00:03:06 I think they can keep it close still. But I don't know if the win. I don't know if the wins coming out of it. I do want to read the tweet from Wilhoanus. It's been an honor to rep the end and be a part of the blackshirt defense for the past four years. Thank you to my teammates, coaches and support staff, and Nebraska faithful for helping me create memories and relationships that will last last a lifetime. This is not an easy decision because of how special it is to play for the University of Nebraska, but I will be entering a transfer portal with my last year of eligibility.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Dang it. That is Wilhonis. not the good news we want to end on, but look, in the good space, we tip our cap to you, Mr. Honors, kind sir,
Starting point is 00:03:48 good luck and farewell. Up next, the captain's show. I think he's got Corey wrong.
