Starting point is 00:00:00 Back to one-on-one with DP. Presented by Beatrice Bakeray. On 93-7 The Ticket and The Ticket FM.com. Final segment before we get to the captain's show. And again, it is loaded. It is loaded with goodies. Again, Cory Dixon. On with Fashon Jackson and then Pipeline Pancakes with Aaron Taylor.
Starting point is 00:00:33 On the captain's show. So for 11 to 2. And what are you guys going to talk about today? Rico. What are you guys going to do on the happy hour? Well, I have a feeling we're going to hit on a bunch of NFL stuff, probably hit on the overtime rule. Maybe talk about the Bulls if Nick wants to, Alex Crusoe getting fouled and breaking his wrist. Hard fouls is a thing.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Grace Allen getting suspended for a game, which I was going to ask you about that, but I'll finish this. And maybe some Nebraska basketball, some Nebraska football commits, you know, here and there. We'll bounce around. A little bit of that. Yeah, the hard file thing, that was the third hard file of the week in the NBA. And a lot of Grayson's suspension is based on reputation. Yes. There are pre-samples to that sort of behavior.
Starting point is 00:01:28 And if you're still not learning from them, then punishment is coming. And I might catch some flack for this, but I, think he was making a play for the ball and it just happened that Alex Caruso got knocked sideways. Yeah. I don't think he was trying to pull him down. He went for the block, hit his wrist, and they're like, oh, well, he pulled him down with a second arm. I'm like, no, he was trying to block the ball. No, see, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:01:55 These are professionals. And it's like, same in baseball with pitchers. Pitchers that throws 100 miles an hour can't throw it to Mike's head. No. I can't say I was being competitive and brushing you back and he just got away from me. know you have professional accountability. And these players understand, especially players up in the air in space who are defenseless. If you're up in the air like that, you're defenseless.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Like it's, that's how that is. So there is a certain professional consideration that needs to take place. Now, hard fouls back in the day, that was a normal thing. That's not the game that's being played now. No. Grayson Allen knows that. He's been through this before. I don't think it was the worst thing he's done in the league.
Starting point is 00:02:37 But it's a dangerous thing. I don't, I mean, obviously, I don't think he was trying to hurt him. He was trying to make a play. But I also don't think he was not trying to hurt him. Well, he was trying to make a play on the ball. But at the same time, I think he was just like, you are not going to score regardless, which is what people do with LeBron, even though he does score. But he's much bigger.
Starting point is 00:02:59 So he doesn't move. Yeah, I don't know what to do with that one, because it's grace. now. I try to remove the person from the act. But the act itself. Because that happened earlier in the season with the Knicks. Mitchell Robinson went to block a shot for a hawks player and bodied him up and kind of missed the ball. And he was coming down and like fingertipped it and pushed him down and dude broke his wrist. Well, there were several. There was one just, just like I said, last week. There were two just last week. And so it is a thing. Like the league is aware.
Starting point is 00:03:37 the officials are aware, and now the players are aware. You simply cannot attack an offensive player in the air like that. You can go up and meet him, but anything extracurricular, you better get it. Like, you need to get it. If you're going to go for a chase down block, you need to get the ball. You have to get it. You can't just get up there and decide once I can't make the plate, I'm going to throw this guy to the ground while he's, you know.
Starting point is 00:04:03 It could have been worse. Ten and a half feet up in the air. It could have been worse. Yeah. which is why you stop it before it gets that way. Yeah. That's the essence of rules. Well, then DeMarge Rosen, almost got in a fight with Wagner, Wagner, last night.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Learn the rule. And then you take care of them. The Bulls are feeling some type of way right now. Well, they'll get it right. They're loaded. Oh, yeah. They'll be fine. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Captain shows up next. Again, it's a good. And so stay tuned.
