Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to one-on-one with DP on 93-7 The Ticket and The Ticketfm.com. I love this song. It's a bob. The conversations about jerseys didn't get any better at the break. You have to do the dance that Run DMC did with Stephen Tyler. It took great song. My goodness gracious. It is going to be quite the show.
Starting point is 00:00:50 coming up next. Rashon Jadson, the captain's show live from Winkstop. Where is he at today? 50 to no. 50 and O. Right over there. 50 and O. 50 and O.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Right over it. He will have gift cards. Yes. Right? He'll come up with something for you to do. You can still go there and do push-ups. To win and earn said gift cards, probably push-ups. Be prepared.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Like if you haven't done push-ups, if you haven't done push-ups, probably do something. before you go. But not too many because you don't want tire at your arms. Well, but just make sure that you can get in the range. We don't need to, we don't want you to like have a heart attack and fall out. We also don't want you, you know, we don't want you to do that. All right. But he's got a great one on with him.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Brandon Stey. Ooh. Brendan Stey will join Rashon Jackson. Good stuff. I'm just saying, you know, head over the wing stop. The Honda Liggin Hotline is ringing off the hook. There's some great stories of Jersey. I'm just going to say, like, I gave Nick a million-dollar idea.
Starting point is 00:02:02 And I gave it to Rico. Like, Rico going to the athletic department at Bellevue West, make it happen. I can do it. Make it happen. Plenty, plenty of pretty successful players coming out of Belvie West. I know. Look, look, obviously mine will be the. obviously mine will be the highest selling but of course uh but but it's like a track
Starting point is 00:02:23 single but i don't know how many people would actually actually buy it no yeah i don't actually actually might not be the most successful probably not probably you get a cluster johnson football jersey and eric strickland football basketball jerse because you know he's pretty good on the football field as well well jory says he prefers if they husker football went back to the 95 jerseys that throwout game versus wisconsin felt so right I just think it doesn't take a lot. It doesn't. Like, I mean, the mesh jerseys were not expensive.
Starting point is 00:02:54 It could be a fundraiser. It could be like a great opportunity way to bring back former athletes. Give them a day where their jersey. It's, you know. Like, can you imagine? It's, picture this. Picture this. Hustre fans.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Picture this. Picture this. Super Bowl champions, Levante David and Damaican Sue of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, signing jerseys outside of the Husker jersey store before. the game against Wisconsin. Meatball State. Meatball State. Yeah, why not? Doesn't matter. It doesn't matter who it's against. It really didn't. But you got two
Starting point is 00:03:27 Super Bowl champions signed in jerseys right outside the Husker Jersey store. You go out, you get it signed, you have yourself a great time. And you know what? I'm going to open a frame store right next to that. So you could get it signed, go immediately over to the framing store, get it framed. Boom. I don't know how. Just imagine that you have
Starting point is 00:03:45 all the Heisman trophy winners signing their jerseys that are going to be bought, that are going to be bought. Well, 100%. Right? They're going to get a kickback from the jersey being sold. From the jersey being sold. They're going to get something from the autograph.
Starting point is 00:03:58 And the autograph. And the autograph. And again, it gets people excited, gives them some focus and things to focus on before games. Do you think, or after games? Do you think, now this is just out of left field, if we could get one of the Heisman trophy winners to come into the station to do an interview,
Starting point is 00:04:14 if we could somehow convince them to bring their Heisman trophy. Yes. Yes. I just want to see it. Oh, you have to see it. I've never, I've never seen, like, I've seen the, I've seen the ones in the stadium, but they're not the real ones.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Like the real ones. And they're behind class. Okay. It's different. All right. No, I just think that, just, I mean, I think it would be simple that if, at a basketball, again, you want Ty Loo to come back? That'd be pretty nice.
Starting point is 00:04:46 You know what we're going to do? We're going to sell. Like, we'll give away Tiley Jersey's shirts, but we'll sell Tiley Jersey. I mean, NBA champion head coach, Tyler? Yeah. Current NBA coach Tailu. Like, the next jersey that's going to be raised in PBA,
Starting point is 00:05:05 sell that jersey in the store. Matter of fact, every jersey that's hung in the arena should be sold at the store. I'm giving away money here. These are a million dollar ideas. I'm giving away free money. I don't know why people won't take it. Are you listening, UNL?
Starting point is 00:05:21 I don't know what. So, Tori says Sue likes significant compensation from one of here for doing any events. It's fair, but it costs a lot for some of those fan engagement. They have the money. He literally donated buildings. Yeah. It'll be a... He donated buildings.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Look, he'll get paid. He has an entire wait room named after him. Hey, he will... Come on. He will get paid. Come on. The university can pay for that, plus the kickback he gets from the jersey sales and the autographs. And the ego stroke, because it's about him.
Starting point is 00:06:00 It's an acknowledgement. Even if somebody doesn't have an ego, it's just, it makes you feel better to know that everybody is there to see you. Well, but imagine even, I mean, even if, like, if it's priced out for some folks can't do it, just the applause. Just the cheering. He knows exactly how much he has loved here. He hadn't come back for a while. He came back for that one game, walked all the way across the field,
Starting point is 00:06:24 and the cheering never stopped or got any quieter. He knows exactly how much he's looking to. I'm going to ask for Sean about it later today. I'm going to ask him, because this has to happen. Don't you head over to Wingstop and ask him? I might do that. Why not?
Starting point is 00:06:40 Well, we're kind of shorthanded today, so. Me and him got out here. For the most part. We'll be all right. We'll be fine. Let's see how it goes. Captain Show. Sean Jackson, Brandon Stein.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Let's go.
