You're listening to One-on-One with D.P.
Presented by Beatrice Bakery on 93-7 The Ticket and the Ticketfm.com.
Welcome back to one-on-one.
It's like a jungle sometimes.
Makes me wonder how to keep him going up.
Child is born in a state of mind.
Blind to the ways of mankind.
Thank you guys for hanging out.
What up, D.P.
Did you get Mike Welch back?
Negative.
did not.
Bohunk from Bennett says.
Hey, DP, just tuned in.
Love the show.
Love the station.
You have me as a listener forever.
Man, high five.
That's what I'm talking about.
That's what I'm talking about.
Ha, ha, Joseph, went back for you at home, too.
Make more cake for DP.
You're absolutely right.
Absolutely right.
You bother?
I'm not sure whether they have that clip,
but you'll find out tomorrow
whether they have clips of Tom and Mike Rayleigh.
we will see.
What up, DP?
When can we expect, this is Ed.
What up, Ed?
When can we expect an announcement on what your station changes are?
As a delivery driver, I want to make sure I'm in my truck when the announcement comes.
Okay, so my plan is this, and hopefully it sticks to that.
That we give Connor, Schaefer, and Stevens their flowers tomorrow.
We celebrate.
We flashback.
We go back.
We backpack.
You know, we pat on the back.
And then at 3 o'clock.
at the beginning of old school.
Three o'clock tomorrow.
The roster will be released here on this show.
Three o'clock tomorrow so that you know what to expect Monday
and you can tell all your friends,
hey man, guess what?
Guess what?
Simple.
Hey, DP, don't get to listen to all day.
What's going on the station?
Repeat for those that are missing.
Tomorrow will be the last day for Connor,
Schaefer, and Tom Steeper.
Evens.
Connor has another gig.
Schaefer is just going in a different direction.
Tom wants to just step away for a bit so he can enjoy his family and let his heart rest and, you know, get his blood pressure down.
You know, he had his handful deal with me every day.
Look, I fully, I'm surprised Nick blood pressure hadn't gone up.
It has.
I know it has.
My apologies in advance.
Joe, yeah, so we'll have a new lineup come Monday.
We will announce it tomorrow at 3 o'clock here on one-on-one.
Joe says, I want to be someone's white people.
You are.
Your picture is in my house.
Becky will confirm that.
On my desk at home, there's the picture of the entire Davis family.
So yes, you are my white people.
What up, what up, Dave Braska.
I've always wondered why you came here after all you've done and where you've been.
But I'm glad you came and brought the station to keep it all sports.
Thanks.
Yeah, thank you, De Brasca.
And it is, it's just that.
It's a place to allow sports people.
and Husker fans and Lincolnites to just come here and hang out.
We can come and check in.
Am I missing anything?
What's going on?
Anything I need to know?
You guys have permission to share your good news with me.
Again, we ask each week that you guys share your good news with us.
You share your bad news with us so we can unite around you and lift you up and pat you on the back.
As a matter of fact, Nick, if you would, please, you had somebody that,
We wanted to give a shout out to it.
Yes.
Yes, please.
You caught me off guard.
I was like, oh, wait.
Let's see, I have to pull up the name so I don't butcher it here.
Yeah.
All right, shout out to Pat Schabin.
Let's hope I didn't butcher that.
He was our 50-100th follower on Twitter.
Well done.
Well done.
So you have the choice.
We're getting, you know, and we can, we couldn't mail.
We might be able to do.
but we're going to drop off some
we're going to set aside some Beatrice Baker's
goodies for you if you want to come out of the station
anytime
tomorrow today
tomorrow
Monday Tuesday
we'll let you in the cake store and you could
take some stuff out and celebrate a little bit
well thank you for being number 5100
and remember
let me just point this
remember all the VIP club stuff
January's coming
January's coming
Yeah, we're working on it.
Haven't forgotten.
From the text line, could you get to northeast Nebraska, a lot of Huskers up there?
Yeah, just, you know, let us know where, like what businesses, like, who are we dealing with?
What are we doing?
Zach says, what's up, DP?
What's up, Zach?
Let's get some pro wrestling segments.
Man, you better stop playing with my heart.
I'll give you, as a matter of fact, so there are some wrestlers who we have on tow to get on
shows coming up soon.
So, yeah, that's going to happen.
That's going to happen.
Damn, it sounds like this from Big Slim.
Sounds like good things are to come.
How does a sports fanatic get in on it with no experience?
You're in on it.
This is how the conversation happens.
This is how the conversation happens.
And Big Slim, we're not done anyway.
Like, I think we have stuff to do coming up.
We were just waiting for the right time.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Hey, Gabe.
He says, we are lucky to have you and thank you.
Love all you guys at the ticket.
You used to listen to 1480 until a friend told me about the ticket five or six years ago,
and I have not looked back.
Keep it up.
Thank you, kind, sir.
Gabe, greatly appreciate it.
Gabe, for that kind text.
Again, we'll set something aside here from Beatrice's bakery for you.
Shoot us attack, shoot Nick attacks,
and let him know whether you.
whether you want to pick it up or otherwise.
What up, Cleveland, Mike?
Good to have you back,
although the lunacy of the young guns
suving for you last week was a nice change of pace.
I'm good.
Well, that's the thing, right?
That's the plan, right?
That's why they're the happy hour.
There before, this is why they get to rattle up, shake it up.
That's kind of the good stuff, right?
Gerald says he's spreading the word in southwest Nebraska.
Yep.
Gerald greatly appreciate it.
So there's that.
Let's go to the Honda Lincoln Hotline.
Joe is waiting.
What's up, Joe?
Hey, good afternoon, gentlemen.
Good afternoon.
I just want to tell a quick funny story about Happer that I had a couple years ago,
and then I got a couple suggestions if you're taking them.
Okay.
About two or three years ago, I was working in a guard check at Tractor Supply,
and I called in for shut up Happer or whatever it was called back then.
And I just want to point out that I retired my...
from calling in and doing contests against Happer because I beat him three questions to none
and got myself a business box of bagels.
There you go.
And so I just want to say thanks Happer for losing to me.
There you go.
There you go.
What are your suggestions?
I got a couple suggestions.
So I'm a huge fan of FCS football.
I grew up in North Idaho and I went to the University of Montana football camp every year
throughout my high school career.
And I just wondering if you guys could.
cover FCS football a little bit more or a little bit.
And then also, I'm an enormous arena football or indoor football fan.
And I was kind of hoping maybe you guys could do a little segment on some indoor football
arena football, things like that.
Also, I've been listening to 93-7 The Picket.
It's about three days after it started.
And I've listened every day that I can and every time I'm in the car or at home.
And I'm going to continue to listen.
I appreciate what you guys do.
It's a nice way to relax on the way home and get my.
my sports info and keep on trucking, keep on going.
I love it, and I'm looking forward to the future.
Thank you.
Appreciate it, Joe.
Good stuff.
Yeah, all of that stuff that we can cover.
Again, with access and time, we will get to all of it.
We will throw at the break if you're calling.
Sit tight.
We'll close out one-on-one when we come back.
Watch live on Facebook, YouTube, or Twitch.
You're listening to One-on-One-on-One with DP on 93.
