Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to One-on-One with DP on 93-7 The Ticket and The Ticketfm.com. Welcome back. Final segment of one-on-one. Mark Anweiler came in during the break and broke down. Of course, we're going to thank a couple of listeners, send us links on how the guy from Texas. But so it's a scam. All of us is a scam. It's a hustle.
Starting point is 00:00:25 So four people who write letters and record videos over how they're going to change the world, get flown in four people, then they have two competitions the day before. The two people who lose that get $2,500 and all the expense to pay trip to the bowl game. And then the final two. That's four people per bowl game that did that. Now, again, there's no real competition to how to look, nothing before that. That those people were just hanging out at home writing letters and video. Come on.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Look, we need the competition. That's what we need to do. Like, there's no other way around it. So Rico comes in and he figures out that he's going to toss footballs at me. And I'm like, no, it's you don't toss footballs that way. No, you don't. That's not an option pitch. That's not it.
Starting point is 00:01:20 That's not how, no, that's not it. That's not how. See, this is how I know you never play quarterback. That, the way, no, look, I don't care if you did it when you were six years old. That doesn't count to me. It doesn't count to me. What is wrong with you? What is wrong with you?
Starting point is 00:01:37 You playing when you were eight in Little League doesn't count. Doesn't count. Sir? Tell me. It was middle school. It doesn't count. It was eighth grade. Doesn't count.
Starting point is 00:01:48 And actually it didn't work out. That's why it didn't work. No, that's not what it was. You pitched it like a dude who raised that. That was what it was. We had an A team. We had a B team. I was an A team receiver.
Starting point is 00:01:58 We had a B team for because we had so many people. And they were like, yeah, you'll be quarterback. You're an athlete. I was like, all right, cool. And then the first game comes around and the other team like forfeits. And then we just never had a beat team season. So I never played quarterback. But I did it in practice and I was pretty good.
Starting point is 00:02:12 No, you weren't. I wasn't. It was impossible for me to throw it with shoulder pads on. No, you weren't. You literally weren't. Without the shoulder pads, I could throw it. It was good. You would have been the A team quarterback and you would have kept playing.
Starting point is 00:02:22 All bad. This is a sham, man. It's just like this is just their way of paying all friends and family. Like, oh, well, like, have you noticed every person that does it is super smart. or like they're going into something super smart school. This is crazy. They're super smart people. None of them have thrown a football before.
Starting point is 00:02:39 It's crazy. Because if they had somebody to throw football, they'd win every time. Oh, this is terrible. So they're just like, hey, do you even know what football is? No, they don't even, they're just out there. It's terrible. It's a sham. So fully, let's burn it to the ground.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Burn it to the ground. I love watching unathletic people. Would you, sir, like to be commissioner of Lincoln, Nebraska's very first, 2022, pop a shot. 100%. 100%. Right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Right. I would be the Adam Silver of Popashaw. We would give you, we would give you a throne for you to sit on. Yeah. And when there needs to be a ruling, you would, you would cast you. I can rule. You would go thumb up or thumb down. Yeah, I can do that.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Yeah, I think this needs to have. I'm not dramatic at all. It'll be totally fair. It'll work out for everyone. Everybody. I think it needs to happen. I think it needs to happen. Right on campus.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Matter of fact, ideally. I don't even need a throne. I'll just walk in there. I'll just walk in with. T-shirt and some shorts. It's just a commissioner on the shirt. I'm good to go. I'm one of the cool commissioners.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Do they have, is there an intramural one-on-one competition here at the University of Nebraska? I don't know, but there should be. Right? Like if you're not a var player and you're not a part of any team. So you can't be one of the dudes who go to practice with the girls. Yeah. And then, like, no, you can't be that.
Starting point is 00:03:56 You can't be on a practice squad. Right. But just you have an intramural one-on-one. Because most cities do like a three-on-three. Right? But I think a one-on-one tournament here, University of Nebraska. And then again, same with Carney, same with Omaha, same with Creighton. And I can be the commissioner.
Starting point is 00:04:14 And then we do a state championship game. Yeah, and I can be commissioner because I already have a rule. What's the rule? If you cross somebody up, you get an extra point. Like if they touch earth, you get an extra point. Yeah, if they take a bow. Yeah. You get extra point.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Yeah. That would be fair. We'll work on that. It's necessary. I have a feeling Jay Foreman will have an opinion. on that. Probably. I'm pretty sure he will. So let's throw, we'll do that. Let's bring it up with Jay Foreman because I'm pretty sure he's got it. You think Jay Form is, you think Jay Forman is get a one-on-one? Yes. Yeah? Yeah, no doubt.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Okay. No doubt. He just looks too big. That's a problem. He just looks too big. He's big and athletic. I don't know. I don't know if he could dribble a basketball. He's big and athletic. No, he's, he had some high school points on nights. Oh, yeah, he's talking about his basketball career. And his dad can play. That I know. I remember his dad could ball. Okay. So I would assume it was passed down. You would hope it's past. Well, we will ask him at the top of the air. How's that?
Starting point is 00:05:06 All right. Thank you, guys. Sit tight. Old school up next on 93-7, the ticket.
