Starting point is 00:00:01 You're listening to One-on-One with DP, brought to you by Beatrice Bakery, on 93-7 The Ticket and the Ticketfm.com. Final segment, one-on-one. Ooh, word to your mother. That was actually a phrase that was used, a lot. Word to your mom. Word to your mother. Before Vanilla Ice kidnapped. I need to extend it because it's about to end.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Right. It's a jam. I just need to make all of our rejoins, especially pumps and a bump and that one, about four minutes long just so we can. Just every now and then. On those days that we want to just let it roll. Yeah. It just happens. It just happens.
Starting point is 00:01:12 We can have our own car dance party. It's more of a shimmy. So folks don't understand that I am on a consecutive win streak. I am the 49 time chair dancing champion of the entire world. Are you mean for real? The chair dancing title comes from anytime you're in the chair and you want to dance but you can't really dance. Sometimes it's in the car. Sometimes it's in your office, right?
Starting point is 00:01:47 Sometimes you're just chilling and a song comes on. and you just, I am undefeated, 49 consecutive years, world chair champion dancer. It's one of my proudest things that I can say. And that song is one. That song is, that's something that it moves me to my core. And even when I can't get up and shake it, I can sit in my chair.
Starting point is 00:02:16 And whether it's air guitar, fist pump, You got to use them all. Air drums, right? You got to be able to... Yes. In order to master it, you have to kind of know how they're dancing in the video.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Oh. Right? So it kind of helps, right? And then, so like MC Hammer, you're dancing, but you're doing just the top half of your body. Okay. But you're doing...
Starting point is 00:02:40 Yeah. So it's not really a championship, but it is. I will say, I mean, every time I come into the studio around 12, 12, 15, and you have music going, you had some outcast, or not outcast, um, outfield by your love. I said, yeah, I said, go deep. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Yeah. So today I was all over the place. So I played. I had some, the who. Uh, I had some Jerry Raftery. Yep. I had went, I had to go down Baker Street. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Uh, had some Billy Joel earlier, some Rob Stewart earlier, had some Elton earlier. Then I went down. I don't know if you remember the time. when women ruled rock. I do not. So there was a Lilith, Lilith, Lilith Fair tour. Lilith. Like the woman from Frazier, Lilith.
Starting point is 00:03:33 It's the worst thing. Like, why would you give somebody a name that's so hard to say? Lilith Fair. But there was a tour, and it was like several really high caliber women with two or three songs each. And I ran through that. So I go down the rabbit hole. Well, usually you have a theme, but there are days where variety is really the spice of life. Yeah, it was like yesterday.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Like yesterday, I was Earthwind and Fire and Commodore's for a bit. And then Monday was Billy Joel. And I went through each album. So I went all the way back to the first one. And then through 52nd Street, Stranger, Glasshouses. Like I went through each album. and All Felena is so good. And then down Easter Alexa.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Like people want to, people want to, when they think Billy Joel, you have your own song. But for me, the two, where Billy sings, sing, sings.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Down Easter Alexa and Allful Lane. That's what I need to do. Whenever I come in here, I just need to turn on music, like that music. It helps me out. Trivia. Yep, yep.
Starting point is 00:04:48 That's what I need to do. Yep, just go through. Just elevate myself. Go through. And then I just, we just figured out, like, I'm actually going to take a vacation this year. Oh. I'm actually going to take a vacation this year.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Normally before we moved to Lincoln and before the pandemic, we would take a vacation. Going to take a vacation this year. And normally for Christmas, Becky and I would go to New York City. Yep. And so the rules were these. One, the thing about going to New York City, of course, all the sports is going on. Well, Billy Joel on the. On December 20th, he's at Madison Square Garden.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Oh. Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden is electric. So this December, you're heading out there. December 20th, Billy Joel, some Hamilton, Christmas Day basketball at the garden, Hawks versus Knicks. That's horrible. The wizard are both in Brooklyn and Madison Square. Oh, no. And the wizards are playing well?
Starting point is 00:05:40 Right. So I'm excited. I'm excited. That's wild. Jay Foreman's here. We'll talk Huskers. We'll be right back.
