You're listening to One-on-One with D.P.
Brought to you by Beatrice Bakery.
On 93-7 The Ticket and The Ticketfm.com.
Final segment of one-on-one.
I want to thank you guys for hanging out and having a conversation over the course of the hour.
Of course, Old School is up next on a Friday.
Jay Foreman will join us.
It was Jay's picks.
We'll talk to Ramel Lloyd Jr. as well.
Nick will sing.
And we'll probably, we'll probably make some smile.
on a Friday.
It's been a long week,
and I would like to give you the opportunity
to make someone's day.
Just make somebody smile.
There's somebody that you could think of
that just your way of being able to say,
hey, I thought of you today.
I care, we care, they care.
So give me nominations.
Put them on the text line.
Or you can call in, Honolinkin Hotline.
Give them to me.
You can inbox me on Twitter or Instagram, Facebook, just inbox me.
Just say, hey, look, there's some people down at my school that work really hard or folks at the hospital or folks at the firehouse, police station.
It could be somebody at your office.
You could be the really cool person that brings in really cool cake on Monday to your office.
We'll offer that because of Beatrice Bakery.
and what they're allowing us to do just to have an impact on Lincoln and the surrounding areas
just to make things a little bit better for folks who may be having a tough time.
So if you know somebody that had a tough, tough day, tough week, let us know.
And we'll see what we can do.
What we did today, after meeting with the folks at Southeast Community College,
I wanted to say thank you to them for changing the location and level of,
some of the state's students who needed it.
Southeast Community College is a bridge between major life after this and high school.
And it is a place to discover yourself.
It's a place to figure out who you are, who you want to be, how this is going to happen.
And they do it oftentimes without much applause or celebration.
So courtesy of Beatrice Bakery, we dropped off some cakes and just said thank you for continuing to give people job opportunities, career opportunities, change of location, change a career.
You know, they're very diverse in what they allow people to do with their lives.
There used to be a stigma to community college.
like I'm old enough that we called it junior college
we didn't call it community college
there used to be a stigma attached to it
but now that they've partnered
and in some cases in most states
they have a partnership where those
credits will transfer and they do so
at a much cheaper rate where
you know for some general studies you can
do those for less at the community college
and then go over to the major university of your choice
or you can learn the job that you
interested in.
So today, we wanted to send a gift package, care package, to the folks at Southeast Community
College.
Of course, we sent it over here to the folks in Lincoln.
Just to say thank you, because there are people who have questions about what's next for them.
And you guys are amazing at helping them figure that out and getting across the bridge
to what's next and what's best for them.
if it isn't sad enough, I'll say thank you again.
Little stuff means a lot.
And the best stuff is the stuff that says it cares.
So thank you to the folks at Southeast Community College for what they do for us.
Happy fingers.
We're okay.
Nice save.
There was no out.
There was no out.
That's okay, bro.
Well, we'll send it out.
We'll send, yeah, I'll wait for you.
Give me that.
You ready?
Let me know when it's right.
All right. Old school. Up next.
93-7 of the ticket.
