fall start. Oh, dude. Is the defense? Is that a four two, two? Is that what they're running? It just, I, it, it, it makes my head spin just to wrap my brain around. They, so there were places in Utah that had eight, had eight man football. And, uh, it was, it was, it was mind blowing. And I, I said to the, so coach brought me out to, to work with his group, right? And we line up, we line up. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, that was bad. It's so bad, right? So bad. But I was, I just was not expecting that to come across the screen. No, no, it was not. And we, he, he, he, he lined up. And I immediately said, so they just not going to cover any of that?

Like, and he goes, cover what? And I'm like, like, all of that grass out there. He goes, well, we don't think about it that way. I'm like, the ball travels. Help me out. So I got to call plays just by calling route tree numbers. No scheme. That's it.

I told him, look, here are the formations you can use, right? So I gave them five formations. Oh, oh, got to keep your hands on that one there, two eight. Yeah, come on, two eight. Nice job. Nice job with the one black. Oh, he's smacking. He's hitting himself.

Yeah, he's not happy. He knows. He could have made a play. Yep. But no, just by calling rut trees. So I'm just calling out one, seven three. Mm-hmm. And that's the route.

That's it. We're going to run. And he, they scored 74 points in three quarters. And the guy goes, do you want to, do you want a job? I was like, no. No. Not here. No.

No, because it'll ruin the rest of my football. It'll ruin the rest of my football because I was like, it's almost unfair. It's almost unfair for you to give me that much green to run free it. I'm like, just run away from people. Like wherever they, Nick, it really was, this is the concept. I told the quarterback, we're not, once we got to the first quarter because it was 35 to nothing. I said, we're no longer going to call plays. I want you to call routes.

I said, but quite frankly, I don't even. want you to call routes. I just want your receivers to run where there's nobody's standing. Easy. What an easy. What a breeze. So, oh my goodness gracious. Yeah. I want to talk about this. So somebody says on the text line, watch a six man football game sometime. I don't know if you've seen the scores for six man football. DP, let me, let me read you. This is not the state champion. This is from a six team football team here in Lincoln. These are the scores that they put off this year. 47, 62, 65, 68, 70, 85, 80, 70. And then they lost by a tough score of 65 to 37.

Yeah, yeah. It was just, it was just like, this is even, like, even in Utah, where I was just trying to get a grasp for what it was. First time I tossed eight man, my head spun. When I saw six men, I was like, this. is better than intramural football. Like, this really is just us at the, we're at the playground. It's a Thanksgiving game. Eight man and six man football is so fun to watch.

Oh, it was just, I was, especially if one of the, like, if one team just has like a super athlete, it's so fun. Oh, one dude. Imagine, like a dude, like, a dude, like Micah Parsons, who played running back in high school playing six man football. It's just, if there's just one dude, because they play, like, everybody plays both sides of the ball.

Yeah. So if you have one dude, that's just a better athlete than everybody else. It's so, it's, dude, it's, it's hilarious. It's so fun. Yeah, it was funny. I saw the state title photo from the D6 game on Friday. Oh.

On Friday, and there was maybe 15 people. What yard is he on, Rico? He is on the 40, which makes it the 20. The 20? I think. It's an 80 yard field. Yeah, it's an 80 yard field, but I'm trying to think of which, yeah, yeah. It's hard.

It's weird. Are we sure? It's confusing. I don't think so. It's confusing. So the 10 yards. It's confusing. The pilot is at the 10s away.

The pilot is at the 10 yard line. It's confusing because you have the yard like the numbers on the field. If it was a grass field, if it's their field, it's fine because they just have it. You have it marked off correctly. But like Nebraska field, you can't change the numbers. So it's just like, okay, when you're watching on TV, you just have to know. Well, because you see at Memorial. So you see the regular size.

Oh, they're at the 40. Be like, no, no, they're not. And like everybody is like a couple yards in from the sideline because it's also a smaller with guys. So I haven't seen enough because I can tell you that in the games that I that I called play for, they didn't kick extra points. They didn't kick extra points. Nope. So, but can you kick an extra point? Yes.

You can. Because that makes it like a 40 yard. I believe so, but why would you? Because everybody scores so much. Well, no, you kick you the extra point from the end zone. Like it's like that you lose. You just got to kick it straight up. Like you're literally.

No, no, it's the same thing. No, because the goal poles don't move. That's the same thing. The goal poles are at the back of the regular end zone. True. Good point. So it's 10 plus 10 and then another 10. Your extra point just has to be farther.

So if you kick it, it's two points. If you're going for the two. Well, I feel like they figure it's easier to just have more athletes on the field who can run it in as opposed to finding a kicker in six-man. Because normally it's the smaller school, so you have a smaller pool of players to pick from. So the finding a kicker might be a little bit harder than just finding somebody who can, you know, bowl somebody over and ain't getting an end zone. No, but you see John Boy's little brother just body slam dude?

I saw that. Look, they're all tired. Hey, hey, hey, eight man is big boy football. Oh, my goodness. It is something. That's what it is. Everybody's an athlete. Look, man.

That little ball boy about to suit up. Right? Like, he's bigger to the quarterback. What are you talking about? That sweatshirt goes down to his ankles. He's taller to the quarterback. quarterback. I feel like there should be more past plays in eight men. Well, that's why I went when the coach brought me in, he said, just stand by me on the

sideline. And I'm just going, look at all the green. Like I know there, you know, it's, you know, you still have the same amount of people. Like it's kind of the same. The field is smaller. But at the same time, I just feel like, I don't know, I feel like everybody always runs it. So if you, if you passed it, you might throw somebody off. The ball is on the seven yard line. But it's actually going to show that it's on the 17. Right. Science.

It's second and goal. Second and goal from the 17th. There is 17. There's also 17 seconds left. Nebraska does it all the time. You just get a holding penalty at the 7th. Come on, man. Come on, we'll have none of that from you.
