Starting point is 00:00:02 Final segment of one-on-one. We'll wrap it up and then Husker Hall of Famer J. Formal's joiners. I think we got her for about an hour of a day. And then we'll set up for the Huskers basketball season open, a regular season opener tonight against Western Illinois. The leathernecks. The fighting leathernecks. That's who that is.
Starting point is 00:00:24 On to the Sarter Hemingham in Texas line. Kupsker says, what's up, D.P.? What's up, Kupsure? It was fantastic seeing you and some of the crew yesterday, even better. I think I found new hangout spot for watching sports. That place was awesome.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Yeah, upside is really nice. Like I was surprised when I first walked in. I'm like, well, how is this not busy? Like, how is this not clean, good people working there, had a good time? The drinks are fantastic. Yeah, and they've even picked up. I think they've picked up some Beatrice Bakery,
Starting point is 00:00:56 put it in the spot and giving it to customers. That's good stuff. That's really good stuff. Pretty good. What's up, D.P. Does UNL ever get a hockey program going? We've got the Brussels icebox in town, but no college team. Is you know too close for another team?
Starting point is 00:01:16 I don't understand why any of that is the case that it is. I don't. I know that there have been some back deals and some agreements in the past and okay, fine. But if there's, like, I don't know. is Nebraska a hockey town? Like, would it support it? Would it support it and the stars? Okay, Nick says yes.
Starting point is 00:01:42 So here's what I know about the University of Nebraska. If the fan base moves it so, it shall be so. You know, you're spending a whole lot of money in a facility. You can raise money. You can get anything accomplished you want to get accomplished. That I know about this fan base. That's just me. That's just me.
Starting point is 00:02:03 Joe Palmer says, what's up, D.P.? What's up, Joe? What do you know about Willie Corn? He's the guy I want for offensive coordinator. No, I don't. Let me explain this so folks get a full understanding. When it comes to that sort of stuff, like I jokingly say, Urban Meyer will go to USC just to agitate Jay Foreman.
Starting point is 00:02:25 But when it comes to people in-house, first of all, you've got to know the situation. You've got to know their personal life. Like there are a whole lot of names being people just throw names around because they, they know an offensive coordinator's name. And they like the program that he's coaching you and go, hey, bring that guy here. Well, it ain't that simple. It's not that simple. And you got to be careful who you invite to your house because not everybody fits.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Not everybody fits. So I'll let Scott Frost tell us who he's going to run with because Scott's the one that has to work with him. So that's what I would say to that. That whole speculation, I mean, there were people who, you know, speculated on head coach. All for not. It's wasted energy. I only talk about what, what, those are facts. Like, I'd love to just focus on that.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Husker fan of Manhattan says, what's up, D.P.? What's up? I feel Trev threw frost a rope, said tie it and then put it around his feet and hung him out to dry and die. I get the part Frost made the rope, but, but he thought he had seven goals. got four. In this case, the rope is progress. More is better, softer landing, and progress is getting faster and faster as of late. Now, a rope cut in half. I don't understand any yet. I say that to say this. The only people that know what happened were Scott and Trev, and you will get 15 different stories about what happened in that space. And in that space,
Starting point is 00:03:58 Scott and Trev came to agreements on how they wanted to process going forward. Those things we know. So no need for me to speculate about things that I know about. I know that he made a move. And for whatever reason, this program has made a decision, right, good or bad, pro or con, that this is the direction they're going to go in. And they have a plan. So whatever that plan is, I don't get changed plan needed to you.
Starting point is 00:04:28 You know, yeah. You know, I, I, no. Look, there's enough to talk about in that space. And I tend to ask people who are close to it or who know, and the information that I can share. And what we know is, Scott Frost is still the head coach of this football team. And Scott needs to find some assistance. And Scott needs to figure out a way to beat Wisconsin.
Starting point is 00:04:58 All in short order, all in a row. and have properly stated now. There has to be urgency. There has to be urgency, and this has to be important, and it cannot be same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it was. It can't be. Changes have to be made in the thinking and the process and the order.
Starting point is 00:05:27 There's that. Ross says, what's up, D.P.? I hope your day is treating you well. That's all. brother what's up appreciate it very much appreciate it we'll go through the day's events we'll go through the week's events and then we will talk a little bit about NBA fights and quarterback takedowns and there's all sorts of silliness and as my best friend uses the phrase nin coopery nin kumpooperi is his favorite phrase
Starting point is 00:06:02 old school coming up top of the hour stay tuned 937 the ticket
