Starting point is 00:00:00 Fantastic. Fantastic. Along the way, Brock. It's always, you know, in the conversations about where they stand. This is a chance for Nebraska to reset itself in the Big Ten conference. But if you're talking about top third, lower third, middle third, currently sitting in the middle third, and then if you're going to move up from the middle third to the top third,
Starting point is 00:00:29 who are you going to replace? Like there's only room for six teams in the top in the top third. So Indiana is undefeated, Oregon's undefeated, Maryland's undefeated, Ohio State's undefeated. So if you tell me that if they take a loss and have one loss, you're going to move past them. I'm not sure you can't. Can't move, but you can move past Maryland next week, right, when you play them. But that still means that you got to move above Penn State, which I don't think you do. and you don't move above Michigan who just beat you.
Starting point is 00:01:04 So who are you going to be better then? That means you have to be better in Illinois, right? Who may probably not? You get a chance in two weeks to be better than Minnesota and move them down. I think that's the thing to circle is that this is opportunity. And it's a favorite word in sport, but it's also the one that is the most compromising because it makes you commit. It's an opportunity.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Saturday is an opportunity. Tomorrow's an opportunity. Secure yourself that, you know what, we're in the top half of the Big Ten. And then we want to be in the top third. And then we'll be in a position with a win over Michigan State that allows you to look at Maryland and Minnesota, who are also having Michigan State, Maryland, Minnesota are all having the same conversations about their program and their team and their season that Nebraska is. Now, the real thing of how it plays out is, it's a caller.
Starting point is 00:01:59 it's the gauntlet, Bach. You got to get through and you got to get some wins. Hopefully, they do that. 11.5 point favorite at home. And they do. You don't want to look too far down the road, but I did find this interesting when I was looking at the other day is that USC is one of those teams that you would eventually think
Starting point is 00:02:17 maybe they could surplant if they're a top six. You know, they're kind of competing with Nebraska in that middle third. USC does have two ranked teams before they play Nebraska. But that's it. Nebraska's got four games in front of them before they play USC. USC has two because Nebraska's already taking the bright week. USC has two of them in front of them. So it's kind of interesting just the way the schedule sets up there.
Starting point is 00:02:42 That kind of shocked me when I looked at it, but I guess it makes sense. Think about it in order. Michigan State, same. Maryland, same, probably ahead. Minnesota, same ahead. USC, same ahead here. Listen, you get to write your own story. That's the real part.
Starting point is 00:03:02 You get to write your own story, one chapter at a time. Tomorrow, midday kickoff against Michigan State. Opportunity to write your own story. Write a good one. We don't, we don't, we, we get to critique the movie, but y'all get to write it. Y'all don't go anywhere, Adam Carrecker. We'll take you to one o'clock here on the six.
