The ticket, once again, Derek Pearson, headed down to Dallas to cover some Nebraska volleyball. So it is myself, Nick Boccovin, and Harrison Arns here with you. We do have some somber news here one day after, obviously, Dolly Parton pass in a way, which I saw some, you know, a billboarder already out in. Lincoln for that.

I don't want to say a billboard. That would be some quick work. I was like, where are we going here, Bach? Yeah, but one of those, you know, one of those ones is you could change the screen or whatever. Right, right, right. So, you know, obviously. Yeah, Dolly Parton, very close to a lot of people, especially with her book club that she's done.

But today, too, we saw another celebrity passed away at the age of 80, same age as Dali Pardon was Tim Curry has passed away, actor from Rocky Horror and It's, but you know, probably most famous for those, Clue, Home Alone, too, some of the other ones that he was in. But yeah, that's a, hopefully, hopefully don't get too much more bad news than obviously, you know, rest of peace to Tim Curry. Yeah, I found out, yeah, shout out to Corey, one of our mill workers here.

And she gave me the news. Like, I'll be honest, I wasn't, didn't know initially, but, you know, I watched the It movie, not a big horror movie film, but he creeped me out. He did a good job. His role, like he killed it. Like that is a really good movie in there. So yeah, obviously, may he rest in peace along with Barton. But yeah, just a couple of crazy days here.

It feels like we hit these stretches every year. We run into a week where it's like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. It's like, okay, what's, you know, who's the next celebrity? We also had like all of retreat, not too long ago in that accent. So, yeah, you know, that's all I can say is rest in peace. And I know that definitely had to occur. And he's had a ton of fans. I know Corey was that, that Rocky Horror Show.

Am I saying that correctly? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I know that was like, it's not my cup tea, but I know that was like a really big deal. And he's absolutely iconic into that one. So I know there's like a ton of fans that were like really big fans that I'm finding out as of today. So yeah, obviously another kind of unfortunate news that is here on a Thursday. Yeah, yeah. I think that's like big especially for like people into theater, right?

Yeah, for sure. And musicals and stuff like that. So like you, I mean, I never got into that one as much. But it, you know, certainly they've obviously remade it in the last couple of years. You watch those films? I love, I love horror films and, uh, and yeah, so I liked it. Okay, you did watch them though. Oh yeah.

Yeah. No, those are phenomenal. I'm not a horror film kind of guy, normally because I just think, not because they, you know, scare me, not trying to be like tough guy here, but I just think a lot of horror movies are just bad. Like I see so many horror films like every year and like there's all this hype around it and they show like the theater like, oh, you know, everyone's throwing their popcorn, freaking out.

And then you go watch it and you're like, this movie sucks. I can just start to finish. There's not in my mind. you know, Texer's correct to me up wrong. I just feel like there's a lot of quantity, not a ton of quality when it comes to the horror films. But it was one of those few exceptions where that was like,

I don't think I watched the second one, which I'll have to put that on my list now. But I know the first one I watched, I was like, start to finish. That was a phenomenal film. Yeah, yeah. I mean, very, you know, even iconic, you kind of think about the opening scenes there.

And what went on there. But yeah, I mean, I should say, too, I like to separate horror from gore. I'm not a big gore fan. I'm with you there. Horror, I kind of like. Get it away from me. I did like the first saw.

The first saw, I had a story. Yeah, the first saw was really good with the story. Yeah. After that, it was just gore for gore's sake. I mean, it was the same story most of the time. It was the same. Well, like, I don't even want to say it. I just got lazier and lazier.

The first one was like enough to like keep you intrigued with the storyline. And then after that, it's like, all right, how can we gross them out next? And then I don't think I even made it through. Like, I think I watched like the third one. And I got like a quarter of the way through and I was sick to my stomach. I was like, I can't. Yeah. This isn't worth watching.

It was not my cup at the day. I'm with you there. The gore is each their own. That's not for me. Yeah, some people are really into it. I, it's funny because I turned one on the other day. The, the, you saw with Chris Rock in it, which I never, I never got to. Yeah, it's spiral. I think it's called spiral. And, you know, just like all the saw movies, it opens up with somebody being tortured and they can't find the way it out or whatever. And it was just, I just couldn't do it again. I was like, I was like, I've, this is a movie that's just kind of on my list of all get to it

eventually. I was like, you know what? All right. let's do it. And it was just started the same one. I was like, I don't know. What am I looking for? What am I going to get out of this? Like I thought maybe I could compare it to the other saws, but like you, they all kind of just blend together at a certain point besides the first one. And I remember

initially when that came out, it was, you know, obviously I'm not playing spoiler here, but the bad guy wins, right? And so it was kind of a twist. And, you know, so, but I remember hearing like, yeah, they signed a deal for like seven of them. And I was like, really? Seven of them. I don't know of any, how many franchises are, you know, maybe Star Wars,

but even that, you've got like, you got need for speed, you know. Well, that's the ultimate comparison. But like, come on. I stopped watching that after the first one, too. I mean, I don't know what it need for speed. I get it. It's kind of stupid, but like Tokyo Drifts still always hits. He's still get into it.

Oh, I mean, every, it's, every football game. I think we've watched Tokyo trip in high school. Like, we, if it was a road game, like, that was on every time. And, you know, I don't know. Those are stupid, but like, that's a little bit different. front we're just watching fast cars action shots you know seven series of the saw film is different in my mind because that's one where i don't know how in the world you drag that thing out well and i was say about this for what is it i'm going to say the wrong is it need for speed did i

say it wrong yeah i think so well there's fast and furious fast and furious yeah yeah i think need for speed is a video game uh fast and furious fast and furious the first one was cool because it was like racing but by like the sixth of one you're jumping out of like one airplane into another right i mean It's all just kind of like, what happened here? I thought we were racing. Yeah, you're right. It's fast and furious because then there was faster and you're furious. The name started getting real cute without them.

They just weren't even trying anymore. They knew people were going to watch it. Yeah, just put the rock in it. Yeah, it'll be good. Did you ever get to Hobbs and Shaw? Did you watch that one? Hobbs and Shaw, no. I think that was like the spin-off of it.

I could be wrong. I clearly don't even know what I'm talking about because I thought it was need for speed. Culturally, I'm uneducated, Bach. I hate to say it. That's fair enough. I've got my own holes. The Kenny Wilhite and Trow, we're talking the other day, a bit like 80s R&B. I was like, all right, let's get back to sports because I have no clue what we're talking about.

Yeah, but there's something about you. You don't take me as an 80s R&B guy. I just, I just don't know enough about that. So, yeah, it definitely happens. Steven says the movie seven with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman totally gross. It's probably 25 plus years old. I don't remember if I've seen that one. Did you ever see seven? I'm not familiar with that one now. Yeah.

I don't remember if I saw that necessarily. I'll add it to my list. Maybe I have it. That's a white owl movie. If that's in that film, let me know, Textor, because maybe I have seen that.

Okay. Cromate says, Conjuring movies were good. The new obsession movie that came out was creepy good. I do want to get to that one. That one and, smile was good.

Smile, yeah, I thought that was pretty good. See, that one's like, to me, that's a good film because it didn't require, it didn't require jump scares

and gross you out for an effect. Yeah. It was just eerie the entire way through. And like, to me, that makes like those best films, or you're just uncomfortable because you don't really fully understand what's going on. And you don't know, like, it doesn't just use cheap jump scares and like effects to creep you out.

So like, yeah, those are great examples. Obsession. Well, that's a really good one too. Yeah, a couple of people say seven was a classic. And then Stephen says seven was about the seven deadly sins. There was a lot of gross death. Oh, okay. No, I have not seen that one.

Yeah. Yeah. I'll have to check it out after that review. Yeah, it sounds really good. And Crobates says we, you said need for speed. we all immediately knew. You didn't know what you were talking about. Yeah, it's true.

I did not watch too many of the fast and furious. But Need for Speed. Great to a soundtrack back in the day. If you played that as well. 24 is by Tia. All right, let's go ahead and take a break. We'll be back with more. Again, want to get to 1926.
