Welcome back, final segment before we hand it over to the big guy. Adam Keraker up next year on the ticket. Coach, there's a, of brotherhood, sisterhood, a family, a family connection to coaches in programs. And when things aren't going well in programs, everybody knows. Like, if you're in the athletic department, you know whether things are going the way you want them to go or where you think they should go. What happens to coaches around the coach, right? So the gymnastics women's gymnastics program. takes a hit yesterday.

They decided to go in a different direction. I, in full disclosure, am a huge Heather Brink. I am a huge fan. She battles. It's tough. Yeah, I think she does a lot with a little, and I think that's a fair statement. And I'm willing to say that out loud.

But I'll ask you, Katzor. What happens in programs like this? What do you think of Heather Brink and the gymnastics program and how things are what that means to the athletic department? Yeah. So obviously it's a tough news. Anytime you lose another head coach in the athletic department, you know, we have our head coach's meetings and we all know each other.

And you always hate, you feel like all these head coaches are, you know, you're part of a family, something special, especially here at Nebraska. So, you know, just, you know, with Heather's, you know, whole timeline here, obviously a phenomenal student athlete here. and then a coach here for eight seasons. I know nobody cared more about that program than she did. So obviously she's a phenomenal coach, but she's also a great person.

I've only been here for a couple years, and she's one of the coaches I felt comfortable with talking to, asking questions, too. You know, just having a normal conversation with, too. She was very personable and very nice. So obviously you hate to see these things happen, but I wish her the best of luck going forward. I know she's a great coach,

and I know she'll be scooped up pretty quickly. That'll be my prediction. But at the same time, I trust Mr. Dannon in his decision-making, and he obviously cares about Nebraska and the gymnastics program too. So I'm sure he has a great plan going forward, but yeah, these are always tough days. And that's something that Mr. Dannen's always talked about. And, you know, for me, it's what we're trying to do here in tennis too.

So a lot of respect for Heather, which are all the best. She's always a part of the Husker family here clearly. And I don't know if I can never help her with anything, but I'm always here for sure. I think it's necessary, mandatory often, to speak to the good end coaches in times like this. Because the belief is isolation. And you don't know how many times you get to say to the person,

hey, well done. No matter what the path and the end result was, the intention was great. She's a husker through and through. And it's an honor to be around people who care about the thing that they do. She loves the sport. She loves the university. She loves the athletic department.

Is that all fair? A thousand percent pair. That's her to a T. And anyone that's met her or knows her or been to a gymnastics meet would see that. And I'm sure her players would say the exact same thing. So sometimes, you know, this is just how it goes sometimes. And like I said, she's phenomenal coach. but a phenomenal person too.

And I, you know, if she decides to stay in the coaching world, which I hope she does, I'm sure she'll find another job here quickly. Coach, thank you again for letting us peek behind the curtain to your guys, your program, and this thing that is Husker Athletics, it's always informative. And you are appreciated. You were,
