You're listening to One-on-One with DP. Presented by Beatrice Bakery. On 93-7 The Ticket and The Ticket FM.com. Final segment of 101, I'll hand it over to the captain. And goodness gracious, that's the show. Today, Sean Jackson welcomes into studio, Jason Peter and Grant Winstrom.

Oh, boy. Boy. It's going to be a lot of size in here. A lot of energy in here. Are the walls reinforced? I'm worried about everything. The table, the windows. Look, if they get through three hours of radio without breaking something, I'd be very impressed. And that's mostly on Varshan.

Well, he's going to try to take him on. Oh, yeah, he's going to say something. He said he's the only one that talks back to him or makes fun of him. Well, he wants me to be here. I'm not taking on the two, three hundred pounds dudes, dude. Chill out. Like, it's not happening. I'll be over there.

Yeah. Yeah. So there's that. It's beat day, senior night, master's classic, 630 at Devaney. Last year's was weird, right? Yeah, I don't remember. Everything was weird because of COVID. I don't remember.

Were there people? No. So nobody was there, not even parents. Well, you could have parents. So, like, we get a pass list, but it was, you were kind of, because COVID was going on, it had to be somebody that was, like, close to you, not like, oh, I know her. She's from. Did you ever get on her pass list?

No. No. It's fine. D.P., you get in for free. Do you not? It was a token of just a simple nudge. You know who doesn't? A fist bump.

You should have told me. Like a high five or something, like nothing. Do I wave to you? Nothing. Nothing. Like they had the t-shirt toss. They come running out. Here we go again.

Oh, hi, D-P. This way. No, I gave it to a girl that was standing there after she did her performance. Pump fake. No. You know who's never gotten a t-shirt? This guy. I'll just apply.

Yeah, she walked into my closet and she was just like, well, like, like, hey, what? What is this? supplied by Nebraska Athletics. But I do wear, she will give me the stuff from the previous year.

Yeah. And I wear it at home. Every time she calls me. Every time she calls me. She's wearing something in Nebraska. Same size shoes? Yeah. We have kids.

Yeah, I can wear kids. Oh, no, Team Tiny Feet. That's what we named you guys. Yeah. Do you have an official day? Team Tiny Fees. TTF. I'm going to hash.

Tag that now. Yeah, team tiny feet. So anyway, it, again, on the best night of the season, a chance for you guys to hang out and that your mom gets to come to town and be here. Yeah. Very cool deal. Yeah. And thank you for actually coming in and let me meet you.

We've talked on the phone, but at least now I get to say. It's nice to meet you. It's nice to meet and actually do this. And she's got a picture of her dad that she's going to have tonight, too. So he'll be there. That is. You know, so which will be nice. That's going to be exceptional.

That's a big night. Is Roe be good? Yeah, I know she's warming up, Bame. She is going to warm up. I know, she did a bar routine yesterday. Is she in pain? Oh, yeah. Yeah.

She doesn't a lot of pain. Yeah. But, I mean, it's one of those things, too, that it's kind of like we only have a handful of meats left, and she knows that she, especially this. This meet, like it's something different in the sense that it's a last home meet. It's senior night. Stuff like that. So she wanted to push through for that.

I don't know what that looks like two, three weeks down the road. But I mean, this is a little more meaningful. I mean, it's not our last meet, but it's our last home meet. So she just wanted to make it count with the two events that she can do. Is the foot healthy? I don't think it's really changed too much. But I mean. She's just going to grind through.

Yeah. I mean, she has it taped and stuff. So, I mean, it hurts, but she's, the thing about Roby is I even asked her, I was like, are you in pain? And she was like, it hurts so bad. But I couldn't even tell by her face. No, she's, she's a droid. I told you.

She's not from here. Yeah. Well, I think you see that. She's not from here. I think you see that with a lot of people. Like, there's one of the girls on the team, like, she has really bad shoulders. But if you were to line us up, you wouldn't know who it is because everybody just kind of deals with it.

And how are you on your team in that? Good. Are you the healthiest person on the team? Yeah. Where's some wood? I need some wood. No. Look, it's a blessing.

So it's good to say that a lot. Again, enjoy the scene tonight. You know, this is, not everybody gets to go through it. I mean, I'm lucky that it's my, quote, second one. So I kind of knew what to prepare for last year. But, I mean, not that it's like anything to prepare for. I mean, it's, I just, I mean, there's a lot of emotion that comes with it,

obviously, but I just think that I had to do interviews for Husker Vision stuff and I have my makeup on and I'm just bawling my eyes out already just with some of the questions that were asked and they were just like, yeah, so how does it feel to compete in Devaney for you last time? And I had to think about that on Monday. Like I've been crying all week just knowing that it's not over, but it's just getting there, I guess. I don't know. It's hard for me to, I mean, it's hard for her too, but it's hard for me just because, because, like I said, I identify with it, so I don't really know how to handle.

I was already crying in the summer, so, like. But Mama remembers parts of it that you don't. Yeah. Because she's been watching. I know. So, I mean, like, I've enjoyed it so much. Like, I wouldn't have come back if I didn't. Well, the word to close this out on is congratulations.
