Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to One-on-One with D.P. Presented by Beatrice Bakery on 93-7 The Ticket and the Ticketfm.com. Final segment of one-on-one. Barry Thompson taking us through the hour. BT, it is that time. Everybody grab your notes. Grab your pen and paper, get your laptop. Barry, what are we cooking?
Starting point is 00:00:29 Well, this one's going to be really easy, and I'm going to give you a tea. All right. This is just ramen, just made this other day. A ramen is a lot about the topping. So there's places that we can go get it and it's really good. You can make it home and it's really easy. So the ramen that I made yesterday at shrimp and then thankfully for these freezing things, you can actually buy muscle meat.
Starting point is 00:00:58 You know, if you like muscle, the little meat that goes inside, you can find it, you Asian grocery. you can find muscle meat. So we had a pack of that, a little couple shrimp that was already cooked in the vein, and then a couple, you know, a couple handful of muscle meat. And then with the carrots, if you take the peeler and the potato peeler, you just kind of julia in it, little thin strips, chop up a little scalyam, right? Both the whites in the green part put that in.
Starting point is 00:01:27 And bean sprouts. That has a nice little crunch, you know, there's not any kind of flavor with it, just a texture thing. and a good it just takes a normal ramen dish and it changes it into something simple
Starting point is 00:01:40 it's easy to do that's easy stuff that can kind of be in your coverage and their frozen shrimp muscles you know scallions aren't that exotic carrots and bean sprouts you may have to go out and purchase but they were in the fridge
Starting point is 00:01:53 so I threw that together now for the tea probably Saturday we're gonna I'll tell you next week but we're going to work on Lechon Asada, which is a Cuban roast pork. And with that Cuban roast pork, we're going to have an accompaniment,
Starting point is 00:02:10 but we're going to get three different things out of that Cuban roast pork. So I'm teasing you for next week because I'm going to go to town on this Cuban roast pork. Lechon Asada. I'm going to work on that one. Yeah, yeah, we will expect reports and invitations as such. You know, good stuff, brother. Appreciate you. Before we let you go, who you got game one, Celtics Warriors?
Starting point is 00:02:38 I'm a Warriors fan. I know a lot of people are shopping on the Celtics train. I'm just a Warriors guy because I like the way they play. The Celtics are a problem. And so what I think this series is going to come down to, it's going to be a classic thing where the superstars can neutralize each other. It's which third person on the team is going to get more involved. You imagine clay or, you know, pool and stuff or some combination, those two doing those things.
Starting point is 00:03:06 They have a trio that can do this thing. And then the left of Tatum and Jalen Brown, really something special. So which third person is going to be Marcus Smart on the other side? Are they going to get something from Wiggins or, you know, whoever? I think that's what this is going to come down to. We've seen this before, kind of an old-school matchup, maybe kind of a new robin's. corporate hoary emerges out of this series. But I'm pulling for the
Starting point is 00:03:33 little warriors. I think it's going to be a good one, brother. Once again, thank you, Kahn and Sir, for what you do. Good stuff all the way around. Good man you are. Thank you, brother. Thanks for having. That is Barry Thompson. I'm DP. One 101 is over. Here comes
Starting point is 00:03:49 the captain's show. Up next. Jack Allen. We'll join Risham quickly.
