You're listening to One-on-One with D.P. On 93-7 The Ticket and The Ticketfm.com. Welcome back. One-on-one. On Monday, great stuff all around. My mind just going crazy because there's so much information. D.P. is all over the place. Okay.

So, yeah, we're really just going to go all over the place. So first of all, again, be sure to tune in tonight from 8 to 11 or so. All the women who have shows on Monday night are, agreeing to do the wings challenge. They all want to do the wings challenge. Hot wings challenge. Now are they going to do it actual hot one style where they're eating the wings and Brett's going to ask you and Brett are going to ask questions?

We're going to narrate. I would imagine that a couple of girls will tap out so that they can commentate along the way. You got to pepper them with questions while their mouths are on fire. And they're all bringing teammates. I hope they're all bringing ice cream as well. Well, I kind of thought of that. Maybe just have like a bunch of milkshakes available.

Just like in the fridge. Yeah. just have them there. So we'll see how that goes. Or you have milkshakes, but you put hot peppers in. No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't do that. The Dynasty Combat Sports at Pinnacle Beckerium, May 5th, Bay 21st, like all this,

there's only a couple of like single ring sides seats, like literally singles in the first two rows you can get around. You can go get a table. If you get a couple of buddies that all want to chip in 55 bucks, you can get a table right there. on the floor level right by the cage. You can do that as well, or general admission. But you get the general emission I would do now before they sell out. Because that's going to be big. And then, of course, Earthmen and Fire was moved from Pinewood to PBA.

So May 14th, Earthman and Fire, definitely. Definitely. Too many people buying tickets. They're like, oh, maybe we should get a bigger venue. Definitely. I don't know if it was weather. I don't know whether, I don't know whether based or whatever it was. But it would be interesting to see how they do that with seating.

like whether you because you may have gotten a really good ticket at Pinewood but not so much at PBA. We'll see. But then like the top of my head popped off because again, I'm old. I won't apologize for being old, but I'm old. We understand. So tomorrow at PBA, what? George, look, they're not the headliners, but they should be. George Dirtwood and the Delaware destroyers are coming to PBA tomorrow night, which I'm sad.

because I didn't know it. The feature, the headline, is Stix, which is a really good concert. It's a really good show. You could get tickets or unless they're sold out. Yeah, but I'll just do shows tomorrow. You'll be fine. They've done shows enough.

No, Lexie has it. She has it. It'll be fun. They do great. They've done two, three shows. I'm a grown-up. I can't leave them hanging. So, but yeah, Sticks,

Ario Speedwagon, taking another concert with you. Don't let them go. And don't let them go may be one of the most underrated songs ever. But new kids on the block, I mean, you're going to be hanging tough and, you know, you got to do the new kids dance. You guys can't see it unless you're on the stream.

D.P.'s doing the new kids dance. You got to do the new kids dance. I wonder how many listeners. How many listeners, the wives are like, honey, we're going to the show. And they're like, okay. All right. Got to do it. And then, of course, later in June, Monday Night Raw, June 20th.

So excited. Maroon 5, would you go see it? I mean, I wouldn't. I wouldn't not. You wouldn't not if somebody, like, gave you tickets. Yeah, I wouldn't not. But you wouldn't, like. Like, I wouldn't buy tickets myself.

Okay. Fair. Fair. Like, I like Maroon 5, but I don't know. Not like I'm going to go to your concert like Maroon 5. Would you go to see Alan Jackson, even with a free ticket? Maybe, probably. If I get a ticket for free, I'll probably go.

That's but a lot of things. Somebody gives me a ticket, like, yeah, sure, whatever. You got to go. Yeah, I don't know. You could be like, here's a ticket to, I don't know, bad mint. tournament. Okay, here's some of, here's some of Pinewood Bull. Scotch Badman.

Pinewood Bull. Uh, Google Dolls. I would go. Google Dolls. I would go. Uh, Bonnie Rae, got tickets already. Gonna do it. Uh, Zizi Tot.

Yeah. Really good content. Really good. Incubus. Maybe. Probably not, though. Maybe. Probably not.

A little big town. I, funny story. I met them once. Would you go? Probably. So I was working in Target in Karnie, and they had a concert out there. They stopped by the Target.

I had no idea who they were. But everybody's like, oh, little big towns in town. I was like, yeah, cool, whatever. I don't know what that means. They came through my line at Target. And me and the lead singer, we just had like a 10-minute conversation. Just talking mostly about, I had my afro at that time. She had really curly hair.

We're just talking about hair care and how much we like to show there's hair. And she's just asking just like questions about why I was in Carnie. I was like, I'd go to college here. And I never really asked why they. No, I asked why are you here? And she's like, oh, we're, she said, we're going to a concert. And I was like, okay, cool.

And then, you know, they went on their way. And everybody's like, oh, my gosh. Like, did you get their autograph? And I go, why would I get random people's autographs? Like, what are you talking about? And they're like, no, that was Little Big Town. Like, like all this stuff. and I go, oh, I don't know who that is.

I did. So when I was in, Rachel got mad at me. When I was in Charlotte, well, when I was in Charlotte. And so we did our T, we did the, I did my Panthers TV show in a restaurant. But they bring in the set and they bring in production. It was a big whole production. And then, but it would, it was always packed. And some people, like, we do a meet and greet after the show.

Where people would take pictures and get autographs and that sort of stuff. And we had three, like I had three Panther. players on every week, at least three. Sometimes I'd have like a musician, so I'd have Edmund McCain or the guys from Hoody, I'd have somebody on. And so we do it at this bar and people will come up afterwards. Well, one week, we did the show. And a guy, a little tiny guy comes up and he says, man, I really love your show.

Love what you're doing with this. Thank you. This is amazing. It's fun, you know. And he goes, I'd love to be on your show one day. And I was like, yeah, sure. Okay. Sure, bro.

Come on, man. What are you talking? Yeah, okay. And he goes, no, no, really. So do you want to take a picture? And he took a picture. He had his girlfriend at the time to take a picture. And then she came up and took a picture.

And then they, you know, kept it moving. They went and talked to, I believe it was Wesley Walls and Frank Garcia, right? Two of the guys. So they're hanging out with them and then they move along. and then as soon as everything cleared up my producer came up with me and goes oh my god you know what was like to talk to jeff gordon i'm like who's jeff cordon

and he's like NASCAR best driver in the world i was like uh okay when did i talk to jeff cordon he goes the little dude that was up here that's jeff cordon i was like oh cool oh oh no my bad Whatever.

Didn't know. Didn't know. And then so his crew chief, Ray Abraham, uh, reached out the following week and said, hey, Jeff would really would like to come on the show. And I'm like, okay, yes, sure. Cool. And so we look at its schedules and they're trying to match it up with the,

with the race schedule and what was going on. And then Ray Abraham was like, well, we both have, we have two weeks off that we can do something. Um, here's one and here's the other. And he goes, whatever one he doesn't do, I'll do. Now I didn't, again, I wasn't locked into NASCAR the way. I am now. I had to go through this to learn it. But I didn't really know

who Ray Evertonham was or why this was a big deal to me. Like this should have been a big deal. And again, my camera girl, Sheila, and Sheila knows all the best stories about me because she was with me all the time. And Sheila goes,

yeah, dude, like, that dude's going to have a race team one day. You better be friends with him. Okay. Again, had no idea. I guess. had no idea. So he came on the show.

He actually did the show. And he came on and he goes, with D.P. And this is, I mean, I was back then I was in shape. And he was like, you know,

we should have you on pit, pit row. You should come on, be on pit, crew. And I'm like, well, what's required? He goes, can you throw a tire?

I'm like, that is a question. I've never been asked before. Maybe. Can I throw a tire? So then he said, yeah, and it will get you a rainbow warrior's jacket and everything.

And I was like, oh, cool. Not a big deal. But my buddy CJ, who was a big race fan, I was like, oh, my God, you have to get the, you have to get the Rainbow Warriors jacket. So he gave me the jacket, and I didn't know, again, I didn't know that it was a big deal.

Yeah. So I gave it to my buddy, CJ, only to find out, that's like a $800 jacket. Like, this was the Winston Cup. And this, it was the best thing that happened from it was because he gave me that one. He kept me in mind when they won the Winston Cup that year. and then we got the Winston Cup jackets

and I got one of those. And you did not give that to you. I did not give that away. I was ignorant about NASCAR and I was sitting in the hub and not knowing all the things that you need to know and all the people you need to know.

So my friends were just laughing me. I'm like, I don't know who these people are. Like, I don't know. That's what it was. Everybody was just like, how did you not know who that was? I was like, I'm sorry.

And I made it better on myself. Well, tried to make it better to myself where I was like, look, she probably enjoyed not having somebody fanboying or fan girling over her and just having a normal conversation. So stop. Yeah, that was kind of why they bought in. Was that I big-timed them without knowing that I was big-timing them? I wasn't on purpose. I just didn't know who they were to fanboy out.

And that was back when I was actually, you know, really, really. really into my job at Target. So I was talking to, talking to everybody and had a big old smile and I was super nice. So they got me at a great time and just had a whole conversation with Little Big Town.

And I was just like, hey. No idea. I was like, well, you guys enjoy the concert. And they're like, we will. No idea. I think they did. I think they enjoyed the concert. In that phase of my life,

I was really bad about, like I was around a lot of famous people, but I didn't always know who they were. and then I learned that I have to be present. Because there's a bunch of people, probably, you know, 150 people getting autographs. And another 250 just kind of lingering around. And so you just want to get through it. And then I had to learn, no, don't get through it.

Calm down, chill out, be present, meet people, know who it was. And then you meet all these people who, again, were somebody. And I was just like, I had no idea. Like, my bad. So, you know, just for the record, pay attention. Because sometimes, you never know. You never know. So is there.

I need to ask Brian T. He says, DeBrasca says where it is best seats at Pinnacle. Best seats at Pinalwood Bowl fit on the floor of PVA. But I want to know what should we do. And Brian, you know, you're going to be down. You can probably tell us what we should look forward to. Are those seats going to be good seats and similar seats?

You know, or do we need to upgrade or some of the other stuff? Let's figure out what we can do. But yeah, I mean, I didn't know Earthwin virus this week. Surprise. Don't tell my wife. I think she knows now. It's May 14th. I had no.

I guess. Go ahead. Shout out to Earthman and Fire. I'm so stupid. I'm so stupid. I was just like I didn't even. Oh. the concerts this week.

My bad. What day is the 14? Is that Saturday? Let me see you real quick. It is Saturday, yes. Okay, so that saves me a little bit. It'll be good. It'll be all right.

Moron. Look, it happens. I'm aging. There's a lot going on. It's not just that you're old. It's that there's a lot going on. You've got shows from eight to you know, eight to 11

and then, you know, from six to 11. So. 11. So, and you've got stuff in between there where you can get maybe a 10 minute nap in. 10 minute power nap. Oh, good grief, man. So, yeah, you're busy. You've got a lot of stuff going on. You've got like 12 more books that you're working on.

So I got, I got, I got, I got the first You're probably in talks to fly to the moon at some point. No. Go live on Mars for a week. Can I share good news? You share whatever you want. It's your show. let me say this so some folks know i i have two teds and that's one too many and and and and and and and and that but i was just offered to to do a third and i'm just trying to figure out and then i immediately i said i can't do it because it's one it's just a ton of work it's a ton of work on top of seriously a ton of work yeah seriously a ton of work but but There are a couple things. So one, so I have another book coming.

I have books coming out. May 28th, June 4th, and July 3rd. And August 15th and September 32nd. I'm so stupid what is wrong with me. Because in the Big Ten conference football. Oh, Big Ten media days. Media days coming. And I'm waiting for the dates on those.

So I'm like, okay, please don't, please don't cross over. Please don't cross over. It's definitely going to cross over. Please don't cross over. 100%. But they gave me the date for this third head, and it's on the Huskers by weekend in September. Now, the reality is I probably still should have said no.

You were never going to say no. I don't know. You're not going to say no. Look at me. Look at me in the eyes. You going to say no? You can't even look at me. This is what I have to do with my daughter.

Are you going to say no? I'm such an idiot. Did you throw your toys in the toilet? That's what this would do. That's literally what this would be is me saying, hey, this is your recharge week of all the weeks you're going to get for the next six months. This is going to be one of your recharge weeks in the middle of football season so that you can get through. Like this is how you're going to get through is just to take this weekend and chill. Did you push your brother over?

I saw you do it It's so stupid I'm so stupid So I've got to make a decision on that Actually I was offered one in D.C. and one in Charlotte And they're both on by weeks And I have to make a decision So I'm going to sit down with Becky and we'll just talk
