You're listening to one-on-one with D.P.

Welcome back.
Yeah.
You're sharing.
I've had out over the weekend that, so from my father's side,
the eternal side of my family, that they found tracking to a six-time great thing.
grandfather who was a
Sopony tribe chief
in Clarksville, Virginia.
And
going back nine generations
to
pre-colonial Virginia
when it wasn't even Virginia.
It was
I want to say
it was called the English company.
Like Virginia before it became a state,
it was
it was there. And they
knew the house and they knew the land,
um,
several different factions of the family. It's always interesting to find out as they
dive down the pool, uh, and to find out who,
who we are and who we aren't.
You find out more. I was like, oh,
travel leader. Well done. Well done. Roman rains. Uh, there's new bloodline. Uh,
there's a new bloodline. Hold up one. Hold up one. We were day one.
Things you find out along the way. Uh,
Eric says they're going to bury Derek beneath the,
underneath the ticket.
No. I don't know
what the ideal burial
will be. Like, there are people that want to get
cremated. There are people that want to have their ashes
spread over a place.
There are people who don't want to be buried, just in tribute.
I'm not sure how I want my, my,
after existence to be.
Is that thing, like, you, have you
mortalized yourself enough to think about
that thing, Bob? Yeah, I mean,
I kind of in the same category.
I don't really,
I don't think I'll mind much one way or the other at that point.
I'd preferably be in like a mummy's tomb or something cool like that,
but yeah, I'll probably just be buried somewhere.
I did talking about the DNA.
I found out I was related to the last great Egyptian pharaoh,
Ramsey's the third, and they show his, his,
so his trial is spectacular.
His murder trial, he was murdered.
He was, he was, he was, he was, he was murdered by his son.
his sons and one of his wives.
And the trial, they have record of the trial from papyrus from back then,
in talking about 1,200 BC.
And they have it.
As a matter of fact, they've done movies and the such about him.
But you see how he was buried.
He was buried in this great hall in Egypt.
Literally his tomb is next to King Tuts.
And you just go, oh, well done, cousin?
Okay, sir.
And when you see pictures
of you go, yeah, I can have
live by afterlife there.
Yeah, that wouldn't be a terrible afterlife.
It's all gold and gold plate.
Like it's diamonds
and gold.
It's a huge haul
of gold.
So, yeah. And then I would wonder
how many people, I would imagine that a lot of folks
here had their ashes spread, would
like their ashes spread over Memorial Stadium.
I'm sure there are.
I once was partly partially part of that club, but I, the older I get, the more odd that would become.
I feel like that's, I don't know.
Maybe there's just a lot of people that have done more in Memorial State and the nature for me to have my
ashes there.
Well, I've been there a lot.
Don't you want to be at Husker Games, have your spirit, have your spirit at Husker Games through eternity.
Don't you want that?
It could be.
I mean, again, we don't know what the afterlife holds.
That's what you say, like surrounded by Gold.
What's that what's gold good to a ghost?
Well, but since we don't know, what if you, it actually matters.
Good.
What if you're not wrong about that?
What if your spirit actually exists and that, hey, man, wherever you are laid to rest is,
that's kind of your home, right?
Or if the spirit gets to travel, wouldn't you want?
I would imagine that box spirit will spend quality amount of time around pinnacle bank
arena and Memorial Stadium.
I don't know.
I don't know your spirit like that, Bach, but I'm just.
going to go out on a limb and think that most people on the text line would love to have their
spirit hanging around Husker Nation for eternity.
Yeah, I mean, if we, yeah, absolutely.
And you take the shot just in case, just in case it does, you better make a plan for it.
I just, I can't imagine that Husker Nation doesn't want to be around it forever.
But I also don't want to go into Memorial Stadium like this year.
We've had 300 people spread their ashes everywhere.
You don't want to be there, Matt.
don't want angry spirit.
Just not to look at it. Look, I can see
Bach's spirit just hovering
over Memorial State and with his arms
crossed and a frown
on his face. Like, look,
if I have to watch this forever,
you guys need to get it together.
It's not going to be the ghost of the 90s.
It's the ghost of people talking about the 90s.
That's spectacular.
Just like,
just angry,
angry Husker spirits. Just
hanging out. Get it together, boys. That's brilliant. We'll take a break, come back, second hour
