Oh, you didn't know.
You better call somebody.
Let's get it.
Let's get it.
Let's get it.
Sunday morning.
A little pro wrestling, a little NFL, a little NBA, whatever you choose.
402, 464, 568, 565, start a Hamid Tech sign if you want to join in the conversation.
And you do.
You do.
You do.
I know this.
I know this.
When we hit the wrestling music, I know the wrestling fan show.
up. You can follow all of this on the Sartre Haman Live video stream, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and
Twitter Live. You can check it Twitter Live. Write down this name, if you don't know, Hoss Tiberizi.
Hoss to Breezy. Let's bring in why we call this show The Breeze, one of the coolest catcher
you ever going to meet in your entire life. Hoss to Breezy. What up? What's happening, brother?
We got to unmute him. Get him out. Yeah, let's get him in here real quick. All right.
go for it. There we go. Hoss Tim Breezer, what's happening, brother?
Hey, D.P. Hey, Lincoln.
First, let's introduce you for the folks that don't know who this man is.
Haas, give him a little bit of our connection and our story. So folks kind of know what they're
dealing with when they deal with these two knucklehead former coaches.
So I'm here in the DMV. And for those of you,
out in the Midwest, that's DC, Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, D.C. for most people,
DP grew up here, and we met each other while coaching, and we're coaching high school basketball
at Woodson, and Woodson always had a lot of talent, great leadership, great players, and they just
needed a little edge to go and win that regional title. And with the words of DP, with a little bit of
love and coaching. We were able to go do that for back-to-back years. And after that, they were able to
go win a state title. And I think it was the mindset, the putting the goal up there, letting
them know that these cats can really do this, letting them know that they are special,
letting them know that they are somebody and in life they're going to be somebody. Because oftentimes
we just go through the motions that don't realize that we have things inside of here that
that can make us rise above.
And so DP,
DP said words and taught me things.
And I definitely loved,
love seeing the growth of the players and
cutting down banners with you.
It's,
it's interesting,
Haas, because we laugh
at each other quite a bit in
the journey. Like, we knew
sitting in, in little small
gyms in Virginia that
there was a bigger
place and space in the world
for what we were doing.
big part of sports, a huge part of sports, is the stuff that fans never see. And it's usually
in locker rooms and practices, in hallways, in cars after practice, or just sitting in the gym,
holding a basketball, talking to young people and getting them to believe in the thing,
and the vision of them that you see. And you were a member of that club. You bought into that
club, so it was wonderful to understand what was happening. For you, why did you
coach it's very simple um my coaches had a profound meaning in my life and after a certain age you can't
do it so if you love the game you try to pass that love and you try to pass life lessons on to
kids um i had coaches that mean a lot to me i still talk to them uh and for me if i could be a role
model and make people better. A cool thing that happened. I went to my son's school on Friday,
and within a 10-foot span, about eight kids came up to me, coach, coach, coach, just at elementary
school. And that is an awesome feeling. And so just being able to make people better and just
we're trying to build people one person at a time. If we're frustrated with politics,
We're frustrated with what's going on in the world.
Why isn't their love?
Well, we could just start with young people.
We can go and teach them, hey, things are going to, there's going to be a bad call by the
ref.
There's going to be a bad thing by the other team.
It's okay.
Shake it off.
You do your job, you be you, have fun.
And that's all that matters.
Yeah, it's always interesting, right?
That we talk about, you know, now the big discussion in recruiting is, you know, what star
rating does the player have not understanding that that doesn't the star system doesn't take into
into account a heart it doesn't take into account character it doesn't take into account
coaching like the people who who built this young person and you have it's interesting as well when
you find out that certain people in coaching have a hero at home you had a hero in your own
house and your father. Oh yeah. My father and my mother together they taught me so much. They made
me invincible. They created so much confidence in me. My father was a national champion runner.
And my mom together, they would give me a lot of love. And with that, that's, I don't want to
brag, but there's one skill that I feel like I have that sticks out a little bit with my players.
the ability to motivate them. And I know it came for my parents. They always made me feel good.
They always made me feel prepared. And if I want to bring it home, my oldest son, he came home
yesterday. He had 22 saves and a half in soccer. That doesn't happen. We lost four nothing. It should
have been 20 to nothing. He played one half of goal, and only gave up one goal. And when he came
home, it was like the biggest party.
Nana, my mom, she was
so excited for him, he was so excited.
And that's just being able
to have the right
message to your kids.
Now, I know
we're talking about me coaching.
I actually am carrying something real quick,
DP. So
this is a sleeve.
I wanted to take the black shirts
away from a couple of the games
that I watched this year. I've been a Huskers
fan for a really long time. And it's like,
there's no tackling there's no defense there's no heart there was tackling yesterday
they're not complete black shirts yet but they get they get one of the sleeves they get a sleeve
back you know what they get a sleeve back that's not a bad way to approach it is say listen we'll let you
wear black socks where we can't give you the black shirts back we'll do something for you
uh you get you like you get it that that that even as fans we still think about the game from the
perspective. So it just wears on you. Like you just like, wait a minute. Like you want to help
and I have to do everything I can to not just run down there and just go, okay, that's it.
Get out of the way. Let me help. But the big thing, through all of it, as Mickey Joseph said
and his presser, that he was so, like all of it was about the players and his assistant coaches.
He was just like, I'm so appreciative and so thankful for these young people to get to experience
this again.
And that's what gives me hope when a coach walks out and says,
everybody says, you know, great first win, great job.
And he said, you know what?
No, no.
These kids put in the work, the assistant coaches put in the work.
And that's usually the story and usually the sign of a really good coach.
Yeah.
And the things that stuck out to me was whenever there was something bad,
something good happened next.
It didn't compound.
Now, there are a lot of penalties in the first half.
There's a lot of penalties.
And that takes time.
You can't just change your defense coordinator.
You can't change your coach and expect to just fix everything in a week.
There's a lot of progress with that week off.
And I was really impressed.
The thing that I remember, the second personal foul and when he's talking to his lineman,
I know on camera, it's like he's yelling at his lineman.
It's like, no, I'm holding him accountable.
And then afterwards, you will see the love.
you'll see the care.
Yep.
You know that there's the bond right there,
and that player's going to go through a Waltham.
Well, we've been in the point.
What I found, especially in the group that we had back in Virginia,
was that each personality was different.
Each coach had a different skill, each one.
We had an X and O guy that we had a drills guy.
We had a scoreboard guy, guy that would get on top.
We had a guy that got in their head.
We had a guy that got in their hearts.
And with Mickey Joseph, being around him close enough to gauge it from up close,
he checks a lot of boxes, hot, host, Breezy.
It makes me feel good to watch him.
And it looks like Nebraska may have a guy.
He'll be in the program no matter what, whether he's the head coach or not.
But when it comes to leading, it looks like he has a thing.
So it was good.
I will
I'm glad
that I booked going to
New Jersey for Rutgers
it'll be good to kind of watch
and then you know then I'm going to head down
to Charlotte from New Jersey to see
your 49ers
and give me a couple
of minutes on where you
stand with
the injury with Trey
the Jimmy G
whatever this is
Like whatever it is with Jimmy G
And then how you feel about the 49ers?
Like where are you on a scale 1 to 10
And believing in this team?
So I subtly moved the camera to have Joe Montana on there.
Yeah, I see the I saw the flex.
I saw the flex, you know.
In the gym, it has a Steve Young jersey, a Kaepernick jersey.
There's there's quarterbacks that have done a lot for the 49
Alex Smith, even Jeff George, just there's so many Jeff Garcia, I'm sorry.
And with that, there's things that Jimmy does that frustrated me for the last couple years.
And there's a reason why they went and got Tray Lance.
With that said, I was elated that they were able to restructure the contract and bring them back just because you never know with an injury what would have.
I didn't think they would ever bench Lance, but just he was injured a lot last year.
And the way they were using him, unfortunately, yeah, things happened, but we're not treating him like Tom Brady and we're treating him like a running quarterback, even though his best skill is his deep passes in his brain.
And so that's what happened.
And so now we have Jimmy.
I don't know, I sense a lot of tension between him and Shanahan.
I don't know how that safety happened with how the game was going.
With all the punting, why are we taking risks like that?
And that play significantly, I think, costs us three games with Trent Williams being gone to.
It got injured in the same place.
That play was very painful for the 49ers.
I will say the things that Jimmy G does well is he is a little bit like Brett Favreve and he doesn't care, so he just throws it.
The problem is the play calling.
Did you see the slow motion of him yelling at the offensive coordinator that his play calling sucked?
Did you see?
They caught him on camera and they got a close-up and he's just yelling.
your play calling sucks.
And I just went, Jimmy, you just can't.
You're going to, you just can't help yourself, can you?
You just got to make it difficult.
Yeah.
And so it's like, okay, maybe if he was a second year guy and he's rusty and he just
didn't get enough reps, those could be things.
But Tom Brady could take two weeks off and just show up and play and make passes
with no receivers.
So it's a little bit on Jimmy G.
And it is a little bit on Shannon.
Because you can't have the yak boy.
that they have. They have Kiddle. They have Ayuk and the super stud with Samuel. And you just got to
get them the ball. And they didn't touch the ball in second half. And you can't, you can't have that
Ravens 2000 defense that the 49ers have and waste that talent. Yeah. It's there. So then I'll
ask then. So what's behind Jimmy G? Because the way 49er luck has worked,
the next guy has to be ready.
Who's next?
So you guys have his younger brother.
He played quarterback last night for you guys, a couple series.
So Mr. Irrelevant Purdy is the backup.
In the preseason, he did things.
I'm not trying to say bad things, but Andrew Luck available or Drew Rees, anyone like that.
Like Kaepernick, RG3, RG3 could come in and reunite.
Please.
There is no backup.
Please give me that.
Please give me that in every way, shape, or fashion,
just to just to sip coffee and tea on and watch on a week-to-weekend basis.
So who's the best team in that division?
If the Niners aren't it, who's it?
The Niners aren't it today, but I wouldn't be surprised if they win tomorrow
night on one-night football.
And then when they beat the Rams, a lot of these distractions are gone.
We're going to go through.
We're going to get to wrestling.
I promise, folks.
We're going to get to wrestling.
But I want to go through today.
Let's just give me the two cents worth.
First of all, have you seen the commander's black uniforms?
Oh, they're lit.
Now, if they're only play like it, that's going to be the only other thing that we question today.
Bills and Ravens, what do you think?
Yeah.
So there's a couple games I'm looking forward today.
Bills and Ravens were the first one I have down there.
And, I mean, you got to just pay the man.
You have to pay the man.
Give him his money.
I don't know why he's not being paid.
I mean, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Mahomes, those are the three.
We have the old guys, but those are the three.
Yeah, give him his money.
It's not that complicated.
It really isn't that complicated.
But they're going to make it complicated because that's how that's being done.
Later on, you know, I kept looking at the scale.
and going, okay, this is a pretty good week of football.
The one that jumps out to me that sneaky and good is that no matter how it plays out,
either Patrick or Holmes or Tom Brady are going to be on a two-game losing street after today.
Who do you like between Kansas City when they travel to Tampa Bay?
If everyone is healthy like they say they are in Tampa Bay at wide receiver,
so getting back, Julia Jones and Gage.
and Godwin,
going to have to go with the Bucks.
It's hard to go against my homes
and say they're going to lose twice in a row.
But it's just,
there's too much,
too much at wide receiver.
That's the difference right now.
Kansas City,
obviously, getting rid of Tyree Kill.
I'll take the Bucs receivers
and Tom Brady getting the ball the right place.
I just,
you know, it's just a weird day.
The Bears and Giants is a game that matters.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Eagles,
or is a game that matters.
It's early in this season, but man, you know, the NFL started with a little wackiness.
I'm not sure where it's going to go.
I'm also paying attention to Cleveland, Atlanta,
because I have a feeling that one of those teams makes a statement today and gets himself in it.
Hoss, before we go to break, I do want to, like, get into this thing where the Dodgers are locked in.
They're locked in.
They've sent, look, to you, on a confident scale, where are you one to 10 on this Dodgers,
team getting a done and getting the chip.
I'm worried about the Braves.
I've been worried about the Braves.
And we talked about some pretty good football games.
If you guys didn't see the double doink a couple minutes ago, that was a really good game.
Double triple doink, because it hit the up, it hit the upright, then bounced and hit on the side of the crossbar,
where it literally on any other hop it goes over.
And then to the middle of the crossbar, hit the bottom and missed,
and the Vikings crept away with a three-point win.
Just fantastic.
If that game was in New Orleans, would that have gone through?
Yeah.
Right?
Like you think about it, right?
You know that the wind's blowing.
They'd have turned all the fans on.
That would have got it.
Like, I think if three fans blew towards the goalpost that the ball would have gone over
on any of those bounces.
So it's got, you look, man, and that was another officiating game.
It was just a nightmare as it plays out.
So there's a lot there.
We're going to go to break.
We'll come back.
We're going to get into pro wrestling.
I'm going to dive into Hoss's Mount Rushmore of pro wrestlers because it'll open us up
to some other conversations.
But before we go to break, Harrison, I'm going to, I'm going to tee you up here.
We need an, we need an entrance song as an ex-examination.
its song to take us to break.
All right, let me, let me dig one up here.
Give me anyone and Hoss will know who it is.
He'll know exactly.
You don't even have to name it.
You could just play it and Hoss will tell us who it is.
All right, this one's a layup, so I'm hoping so.
Okay.
Can my seven-year-old daughter come down and say who this?
Absolutely.
Absolutely, because I know she knows.
Daddy, can you roll your eyes away, please?
Dead man walking.
We love it.
More, the breeze on a Sunday coming up.
