Because we're still here. So, starting in Austin, your favorite taco and queso restaurant, Torchy's. Can't get enough of that. We're going on a road trip. Okay. The thing about a road trip is you have to find, well, what are the local spots or whatever. I'm opening this.

Let's do it. Let's open the Voodoo Ranger. We've all got some different Voodoos. The monkey's drinking water. I'm taking my lactaid. Nice. Smart. The monkey's drinking water.

I got the American haze. Look, you got to find the spots. He'll get torqued at the hotel. Hell yeah. You got to find spots, local spots when you stop in towns. I feel like Torchy's is that spot for Austin. If you're driving through people be like, Oh, you got to- It's quick.

There are places in Texas like Whataburger and stuff, but that's anywhere. Yeah. Like Austin specifically, stop at Torchy's. Right. And you got to look out cause there's only about 30. There's- You got to make sure- Keep your eyes- if you miss one,

it's gonna be at least three minutes till you get to another one. So we got sort of a smorgasbord of things here. We have the chips, we have the monkey's favorite queso. Ooh, it's good. It's his favorite queso in all of Austin. We also got the ranch hand taco, which is a tried and true. It's a great breakfast taco.

That's a great breakfast taco, which is, if you're coming through, should get a breakfast taco. Beef fajita with eggs. Yep. And then we got the other thing. We got the taco of the month. Yeah, which, what is it? Mine's looking wet. The taco of the month. They're all wet, bro. The taco

of the month is called the kingpin. Oh. It has, like us, like four kingpins. It's like a fajita, but it has, like, even more. Jordan, open it up. What does that look like? Crack it open, bro. What does it look like? Get this bag out of here. It looks like it's got a lot of meat on it. Uh-huh.

It looks sweaty. A lot of sweat. Yeah. George's tacos are greasy. Yeah. I think this is what I'm going to look like after I eat it. Oh. Stay tuned.

So, look, we're being safe. We have chips. Thank you. We're doing chips in little individual bowls, but there's also another reason for these bowls. Because that's Jordan's, apparently. Oh, okay. I got you, man.

Oh, there's some corn in there. That's cool. Yeah, there's some tomates. Okay, too much. I'll be honest, I didn't know they made salads until today. Again, why would you? Here, I'll use this. It's not called Torchy Salad.

Oh, I'll use that for a bowl. Well, I gave mine away. Oh, well. I fucked up. Well, guess what? Hey, we're on the same page over here. Guess what, buddy? This guy, I can't rely on him.

You can't just have all this fast food, all this fast food. You got to have some roughage. I just put my hand in it. It's true. Yeah. Because on a road trip, you're eating the worst. Yes.

And you're not being very active. It is. So it's not like you're walking it off or anything. Incredibly true. Here's your ranch hand. We're about to drive for five hours after this. In case. The thing that the monkey needed.

What the fuck was that? It's the sauce. I know, but the way he looked at it was like a jeweler looking at a diamond. Oh, now we got to get him one of those eyesies. He held it up and he kept saying, this is how I win? I just caught a glimpse and I wasn't doing that for the camera. No, that was him. This has like, is it food?

Yeah. Plantain. And like a big old plantain in it. I thought it was a sausage. That's a banana. But yeah, it's like a half banana. Here's the thing about chips and queso. This is the only, like queso is the only thing that I would take like worldwide and be like,

this should be everywhere. It should be. Yeah. And it's so good specifically. And this doesn't have to be, I'm not trying to plug it hard. With a beer, my God, it's so good specifically, and this doesn't have to be, well, I'm not trying to plug it hard. With a beer, my God, it's perfect. I don't think I've ever had the experimental IPA. I'm into it. It's good. God, that's good.

I've never had the 1985 IPA, but I love this can. I know, it was sitting in front of me, like it was mine, and then you went yoink and took it. But I'm pretty happy with this, actually. They do a good job, Voodoo, of like describing what sort of, it's usually like citrus based or what kind of flavors. I just go, ah, it's good.

Couldn't tell you. Tastes like good beer. It's like drinking wine. I don't get the notes or anything. I just get, oh, that's good. Not dry though. Not dry. Definitely not dry. Nothing dry about this.

It's not. This isn't a thing where I grew up. We go to Colorado and ask for queso, they're going to be like, what the hell are you talking about? If you want chips and cheese, you get melted nacho cheese, which is fine. This is way better. All right, now they're getting loud. So I know we've made very clear, look, I don't know where that cut happened. I'm going to be honest. And we're back. There was some sirens, it was very loud.

Look, we're outside, we're in the elements. Road trippin'. He's become so much more strictly monkey than man it's true uh i just i want to remind you know he is a man but he's also a father it's uh it's something and in a way i'm his father how's my grandson too Too much? No, he's into it, okay. I think he knows if he says no, you can take it all away from him in an instant. Well, if he takes the mask off when he goes home, then that's where my involvement ends.

It's day one of the road trip. He's not trying to make it harder for himself. Friday, he would have put up a fight. Oh yeah. Did anyone else eat the salad? No. I'm getting to it. Working my way through this first. How's that? Okay.

So that's the taco of the month. It's got a lot of stuff going on. I'll tell you that. Yeah, I'm going to start with it. And to me that's like- I know the ranch hand's good. When you're talking about going on a road trip and getting weird food and all that stuff, I think that's why we had to get this taco of the month.

Cause it's just like, get the thing that you think you're gonna like and then get weird like gamble on a salad how's that gamble paying off uh you know it's not bad sometimes you win sometimes you lose um this is great with the uh the plantain adds a little bit of sweetness and when you get all of the ingredients together uh it's really good. What's also good about this taco is, Torchy's is like two minutes away and the van doesn't work. And so, it was a good choice. It's right there.

Yeah. Yeah, remember we pushed it there. And that's where it's gonna stay after we leave in the other now newly rented van. Boy, it kinda makes you wonder why we didn't just start with that van a year ago. Yeah. You know, all the money you put into it.

I bet, like, a down payment for that van. Oh, I bet we could have paid it off. Oh, 100%. It's been, what, three years? Lane! Keep going. I'm just pointing it out

A little bit of a kick to it. It does have a little bit of a kick. And I think when you get a bite that doesn't have the plantain, you miss it. At first I was like, oh, that's a little too much. Then the refried beans kind of like overpower everything. You didn't know what you had until you lost it.

Damn. Ain't that just the way. That's deep dude. That came with the haircut. Brains on the top party on the bottom. Brains on the top. 100% brains.

I'll say this as an aside. I really had to convince the guy to cut my hair like this. He didn't want to do it. He seemed worried. He didn't want you to be mad at him. He seemed that I could go volatile at any second. Did he just keep going, there's no fucking way he wants this haircut?

Maybe to himself. He kept saying, are you sure? Are you sure? And then about halfway through when I kept going, this rules, he got into it. He was happy because he knew I got what I wanted. And he kept saying, this looks great. When you tell people this rules. And now Jordan is eating the salad. A little dry. What? A little dry? What do we got green-wise here? What is it? Is it lettuce? Is it spinach? I'm not a lettuce expert. Okay, so I have no idea Hey, you know what just pull yourself out. Somebody just said arugula. Is it arugula? Oh arugula sucks There's some arugula in it. It's I don't love the flavor

But what I hate even more about arugula is it's all just fucking stem. Mm-hmm. Just give me the green Lettuce part. It's just stem, stem, stem, stem, stem. This is some California shit that we're eating right here. This is- It tastes like it. This is not a salad that I ever want. Okay, I want like romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, throw in some fucking cheese maybe, splash of-

an incredibly wet taco. it's good i just let it down i like it it was manageable though like not too messy i feel like it was a little spicy early on and then it wasn't so i don't know what i don't know specifically what the spice was i'm getting my chip on this is good yeah this is i don't like this. What? Why? I agree. What? No. I'm not a fan of arugula, so. Yeah. Eric salad with door over there. Damn, dude.

Go easy on him. We haven't left yet, sorry. I know, it's only day one. We haven't even been in the van. I mean, we got in the van to go pick up another van. Right, but that's not the van we're driving. It got very complicated. No, I know.

It got complicated. And then also- For some reason, there was a Mustang. We had to go drop off a Mustang that we didn't use, that we were going to use. And then I was like, we're at the airport. We could just fly there. We went to the airport to spend 90 minutes to get a van to leave the airport and come back here. So that we could drive.

It's a slow start. Yeah. Monkey's diving. What's up, Monkey? He's checking the time. I thought he was getting bit by a bug. What time do you got? He's got 20 minutes to chimp.

He's just showing me a blank watch. It like didn't turn on. Well, that's the thing. He's just showing me a blank watch. It, like, didn't turn on. Well, that's the thing. It's just for luck. You can't read time. We don't even charge it. What's most interesting is that he has the watch face that is, like, the analog clock.

So it's like he's showing me, and it's like, I don't know what that is. You're really breaking this monkey down for his technological shortcomings, and I think he's quite advanced for what he is. Yeah, we don't- He's just scratching his head. I like the idea of not charging. We don't charge his wristwatch. Look how yellow this is. That's just grease.

I think you were the one who recommended the ranch ham. Breakfast tacos in general are awesome. But that's the thing like- This one is good, dude. It's got a good chunk of meat, the fajita meat. You get cheese and eggs. And then you get whatever you want, but it comes with a Diablo sauce.

That Diablo sauce is so hot. It's hot, but it's good. A little too much for- Makes my's good. A little too much for- Makes my tongue sing. A little too much for Spice Mouse Jordan. I got the- I could see a mouse not liking it. It's definitely a little bit more rat territory.

really good tech smacks and then hit the road and keep going and if you're gonna pop in and not grab it to go and you have like a monkey driving because you're drinking water anyway they got bars inside torches you can get a drink at the bar sometimes a guy will buy you a drink for being ahead of you in line yeah sometimes a guy will buy you a drink when he thinks you're buying food for everyone else, even though you're charging it to the company card so you actually didn't pay anything out of pocket. But, if that happens, make sure it's a delicious Voodoo Ranger. Was that good? That was very good.
