Starting point is 00:00:00 Good chips. This could be a good news. This could be good. This might be a good. This could be good. That was very promising in there. That was, that was very promising in there. This is old school Taco Cabana. It's how you said it's. Whoa. It's like we went back in time. Right. We went back 15, 20 years. The whole time we were in there. Holy shit, wait a second. Toco Polenke. That's Cabana backwards. Actually, I think it's Boston Market back. It definitely was a Boston market. Nick was screeching. I've got pictures of him.
Starting point is 00:00:30 run into the soft bar? I walked. You fucking did not run. You did not walk. Yeah, I didn't walk. I didn't walk or run. I didn't walk or run. You hustled.
Starting point is 00:00:39 Nick. I turned around where you were and there was just a smoke outline of you. I know. That's why I whipped out my phone and the first picture he'd say I'm going, it's fucking big foot. You caught me. You had to get to work. Yeah, like you said this, you said it's Bigfoot,
Starting point is 00:00:56 but then he's smiling and pointed. Bigfoot does not usually do. after he's caught. It's like, Bigfoot's not known to smile on point. He's shocked, and then, oh my God, thank you so much for coming. Yep. You found me. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:01:09 I don't know why people can't ever find me. I try to be found all the time. Yeah, just smile. Say hi. I'm trying to be found. Smiling, saying hi. People keep saying this guy's hiding. I'm not hiding.
Starting point is 00:01:17 I'm not hiding. I'm out of here. Getting in talk of a political. There were just, there were no solstice. How do you feel about this turn? It's feeling good. Jesus Christ, man. These cars just kind of like half stop before they don't turn in there.
Starting point is 00:01:27 They keep running. So it's like, all right, fuck this. Okay, cool. They decided they're going to light. All of these cars are sideways. Welcome to Austin. Welcome to Austin. The Taco Polenke is in an old Boston market
Starting point is 00:01:42 that we'd actually been to for the show. A couple times. Yeah. So very interesting to go to that. Taco Polenke adding a couple new locations. I had mentioned I've never heard of this place. And then we came here and I was like, oh, well, I've definitely driven past
Starting point is 00:01:56 and noticed this place. Yeah. You were saying that it looks... I was saying it looks old. It looks like the signage and everything looks... It's just like the branding. Yeah, it's not like... It's just dated as fuck.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Yeah, I think it's kind of like harkening back or something. I think I got that. Yeah, no, I think it's just to something that's never changed. Right. I don't think it's harkening to anything. I think they just went... It's harkening to when they... We have a logo.
Starting point is 00:02:19 What's the problem? Well, it looks old because it was made old. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, sometimes when you change a logo, you get a lot of backlash. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:27 And then you have to... And then you have to make a big mascot. Nobody likes the mascot and everyone's mean to the mascot and no one wants to to film anything with the mascot. Sometimes you get rid of the mascot. Sometimes a monkey comes in and fights the mascot. And just in time you get rid of the mascot. We're talking about Crackerbell, right?
Starting point is 00:02:43 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, and then they change it back. And then they put the pin game back. That's why I changed. Was that part of the rebrand was them getting rid of the pin game? Initially, right? I didn't hear about that. I just know there was so much uproar around the logo.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Or why would they get rid of the pin game? They were going to remove the insulting things, the pin games. Oh, like where it calls you a dumb dumb. Yeah. Yeah. A nincom poop? Yeah, they got real mad about that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Because, um, I can't get rid of any of these. It's making fun of it. Woke liberal cry babies needed it gone. That's right. That's right. You know. Let the children know they're the president screaming in crying. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Their families are disappointed in them. I'm so upset. I'm so upset. The pins. Um. Are you eating more chips back there? Yeah, I'm stuck on down. They're good chips.
Starting point is 00:03:29 They're fresh made. Me and Jordan were in here before. The chips alone. Good sign. It's a good sign. Yeah. Michael was in the bathroom. We were in the car and we were talking about that is the closest I've had to being back home.
Starting point is 00:03:43 Getting a bag, like a brown paper bag. I've never seen a chip. That's every taco shop back home. And San Antonio as well. Right. That's not my fucking home. Yeah. Yeah, no, back home.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Yeah. Back home. That's everyone's home, right? Yeah. Back home. And I go, can I get some chips for my tacos? And I say, what the fuck are you talking about? Sir, this is a sandwich.
Starting point is 00:04:01 You want a sandwich, spaghetti or pizza? Shut the fuck. You're at the combination. Pia spaghetti or pizza. Spaghetti sandwich shop. No, that's most places. That's a real thing. That's most pizzerias.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Did we ever, did I ever talk to you guys about that place? The place in San Diego called torpasta. No. They take. They take a loaf of bread, like, like a, like a baguette, whatever. They hollow it out. He said baguette, right?
Starting point is 00:04:31 And they fill it. Bags end. They fill it with pasta. They fill it with spaghetti or like Alfredo, whatever pasta. And that's the whole sandwich. It's just, it's just spaghetti and bread.
Starting point is 00:04:44 He's lost his mind. He's just unhinged. Hello. He's just giggling. I'm having fun. Dude, back home, I like the fat sandwiches. Oh, yeah. Oh, that shit's good too.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Well, they just shove like chicken, French fries. as mozzarella. Oh, hell yeah. Fucking meatballs, just like whatever, and they put it on a sandwich. There was one here in Austin for a while. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:05:04 It went out of business. It was by Rutgers. I mean, they were everywhere, but they popularized it. And now that's what Turtle does, right? Dude, Turtle from Entourage has a, like, fat, fat salels or something. Oh, they're the best names too. Like, literally one was called Fat bitch.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Yeah, that bitch. Like, can I get a fat bitch? Can I get a fat fucking piece of shit? The fat orgasm, shit like that. Can they get fat fuck fucker? I see why turtle from Ontario like this. Oh, yeah! That you reviews on those places was doing awesome, right?
Starting point is 00:05:34 I had the fat orgasm and no orgasm was had by the one star. One star. These sandwiches don't even give you a cheese. Too much mayonnaise. I went to an Italian place the other day and I had spaghetti that was served from the inside of cheese reel. It was fucking incredible. Yeah. You can get that?
Starting point is 00:05:51 Yeah. Wow. They have them. They have that. Fuck. I forgot the name of the place. was something 28 uh spaghetti 28 no one's spaghetti 28 but they did have milky I didn't get it because they didn't offer they had that they didn't offer
Starting point is 00:06:04 yokey and have a real that oh man but like oh dude it's the cheesiest fucking spaghetti I've ever had my life it was so goddamn good oh you said us a video and they were serving to you out of the yeah they bring up the reel and they serve it and they like they scrape the they like you know they do they get every bit of the cheese out no no no no they use that I asked the guy I said they usually go for about two weeks. Wow. They just throw the spaghetti.
Starting point is 00:06:30 When they get the cheese melting, and they throw the spaghetti in there and throw it around, and then they slop it on. And it's like, dude, you know, like any cheese ever gets cold? The spaghetti was hot 15 minutes later. Wow, that's awesome. It was like just heating technology. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:45 He was just like, they're like keeping the core of the spaghetti. This is how they did it in medieval Italy. Yeah. Oh, yeah. In medieval. Middivoli. Oh, my lord.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Da Vinci's eating good tonight. What kind of cheese was it? Peccan. Pecorino, I think. Nice. It's a solid cheese. I believe so. No, it was a liquid. Oh.
Starting point is 00:07:09 That's the whole point, Nick. Yeah, but dude, you know what? I apologize. Dude, it was just indescribable. It was real good. It was like 23 bucks. It wasn't like astronomical. Dude, that's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:07:20 This, everything we got today was 50. Yeah. Yeah. And that's not counting the free baggats of chips. We got eight tacos, yeah, we made her money back on chips. And they made it back on fucking sauce. And salsa is. And sauce is.
Starting point is 00:07:33 You can keep saying salsa just so you know. Sausa, salsa, salsa. Sausa. Sausa is. Salsa. Nick was over there in a fucking heartbeat, filling it up. So I went over. After we order.
Starting point is 00:07:42 You went over. Dude, the second Eric finished the order of poof, gone. Yeah. I wanted to see what it was all about. I went over to talk to Jordan. Then I finally went over to get my chips. And Eric was like, save me. Get me out.
Starting point is 00:07:56 I just kept telling him what I was looking at. I was waiting to get one salsa, I held up a bag of chips, and the whole time Nick is going, this one's avocado. This one's avocado. This one's tomato. We can get all of them and we can do a dipsy dew.
Starting point is 00:08:08 We can all do it different, we can have a dipsy doo. Yeah, I didn't say dipsy doo. Yes, you did. No. Did I say dipsy dew? You said we can have a dipsy dew. Oh, I was, wow, I was on another plane.
Starting point is 00:08:18 I'm gonna, don't worry, he'll get back to that plane once we take the salt out of that. Yeah, yeah. That one was hot. He's worrying back there. The picture I'm posting for this episode to be like, here's where we're eating tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:08:32 It's just gonna be Nick is a dragon with his fucking sauce horse. Well, I don't know if you guys can't tell where you're up. He's actually floating off to sit right there. I'm actually not sitting down. I am twitching a little bit. He's hovering.
Starting point is 00:08:44 That's just, again, that's just how every Mexican food place in San Diego is where it's just, here's like six different sauces and a bunch of chips, fill it up and do whatever. Yeah, but he's not from back home. Yeah. I'm from my back home and also also Taco Commander ruined theirs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Well, this way's used to be what the Taco Banada was. But Chonchos has it now, still. Okay, why we're talking about chantos now. Let's talk. We go to Chachos. Chonjos? Choncho? What are we doing?
Starting point is 00:09:09 John Cho? Choncho? Chachos. John Cho has that? Joni loves chancho. That's what I'm saying. No one's going to get that. Yeah, right?
Starting point is 00:09:20 I barely understand. I'll be honest, same. Same. Same. I said it. I don't even know it. I got it, sort of. It was old when I was the kid.
Starting point is 00:09:30 I sports balled that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right? My version, not the show that gets kids. Oh. Again. Is that all the time? We should bring it back. Sports ball.
Starting point is 00:09:40 We can bring it out. One more time. I'll be the host. Yeah. I took the files. So how do you play this one? No, unfortunately, Michael, that's too interesting, but dynamic to have someone who, like, would have the sports explain to them.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Yeah. We can't do that. Yeah. You're thinking a little too outside the box here. That's too good. I have a firm grasp on all the sports and the rules. Just nothing else. Like who is it in the team?
Starting point is 00:10:06 Well, this is good though, because if we get it, if we get it like figured out, we do kind of like a morning sports talk, and you'd be like chancho and the monkey. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. Johncho and the monkey. Eric's Choncho.
Starting point is 00:10:21 Yeah. He's the only one legally there. Yeah. Yeah. And then Michael's there. He doesn't understand. We call him like cousin Mike. And everyone's like, dude, I love the show.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Bro, when they get cousin Mike from back home on, dude, it's so good, bro. But my home, not your home. Right, right. Well, it makes sense anyway. This is good. Yeah, that's how. Like how everyone in the bear is a cousin and they're not related. This is the formula to every sports talk thing ever.
Starting point is 00:10:43 It's just here's a cousin. He's on my show now. Awesome. My cousin's hilarious. He's on my sports talk show. It's absolutely. Absolutely what it is. It's all of them.
Starting point is 00:10:51 It's how Don Vito ended up. My uncle's crazy, put him on TV. Dude, hey, they did and it was great. It was great until it wasn't. Yeah. I mean, the TV was always great. Uh-huh. There was no one until it wasn't from the TV.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Well, that did happen, yeah, yeah. Vito, row your boat! Wait, wait, wait, go, go, my boat! Gently down the street? That sure was. The Lena Tower pizza, you can get pizza. You can get pizza at the bottom. You know that?
Starting point is 00:11:23 You got pizza! Make a pizza there. You know, there's, like, made-up shit. I don't think, looking back on it now, like, knowing more now being, like, on this side of it, I don't think that was made up. No. I don't think he was made up.
Starting point is 00:11:36 I don't think he was made up at all. Yeah. No. I don't think they were real hard. I think they really weren't. When Rocco was in the room this year, they kept teasing that, like, Bamargera was right outside.
Starting point is 00:11:49 He just needed to leave the room to go see him. And they were like, oh, you missed him. You know, he's gone. He was in the parking lot. He just, you know, he just missed. because he said, well, I couldn't leave the room. And they got, they got Bam to record a message.
Starting point is 00:12:01 He was like, hey, Rocco, you left me outside the parking lot. You were too busy cranking your gym dog. Oh. That's so fucking good. It's so good. Dude, these are like some of the best chips I've ever had.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Aren't they awesome? They're really good. I was like one more and then they had seven more. And they're not just like the Chipotle chips. We just put a bunch of salt in the line off. No, they're not. No, the chip tastes good. The base chip is very good.
Starting point is 00:12:31 You don't need a, you don't need a salsa with it, but boy, it's good. And we also got the case of. Do I have my hose up for the food? This is dangerous territory. Oh, you might be, oh, no. Oh, you might have fucked yourself. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Yeah, yeah, Michael, you might have fucked yourself. It's like Nick said when we were walking into the restaurant and Michael and I were talking just to each other. So far behind. I heard you said. No, that's what he's going to say. Let him fucking say. Say it.
Starting point is 00:12:57 He said, could be good. And I turned around and said, could be good. Could be good. Yeah. From the door. Was not talking to him. I got, I know. But I wasn't loud.
Starting point is 00:13:05 It was like, how did he know? And Jordan goes, but he's always listening. Yes. Yeah, I hear all. If you hear all that has to do with you or what you care about, in fact, you hear nothing. Yeah. Even if it is directed at you.
Starting point is 00:13:19 I stopped listening. Did you say something? I got the gist of it. Jordan, you said that was your drink. I said it was Michael's dream. Oh, I stopped. It's my. And I just assumed you're going to be mine.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Stop listening. You said it's my, and I heard of this. My leaded into Michael. Crazy. No. No. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I was wrong in that moment.
Starting point is 00:13:43 I mean, it admits it. Yeah, my bad. Yeah, it was wrong on purpose. Welcome to comedy one. Welcome to comedy one. Welcome to be on the right side of being wrong. Wait. What are the comedy 101?
Starting point is 00:13:53 Yeah. Comedy 101. guys. Comedy 101 for you. Comedy 101. Stop listening. I saw that movie with a doppelganger Gracie. Comedy 101.
Starting point is 00:14:02 That was crazy. No butt. That was Gracie. I saw Crime 101 yesterday with Alfredo. Straight up. I sit down and like, I texted you guys the movie with the trailers. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:11 I was like, there is a Gracie sitting next to me. And I was like, I mean like not like a girl. I'm like great. There is a Gracie sitting next to me. It looked exactly like. Same exact hair. Very Gracie style. She was like, explain the hats out.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Take a picture. Yeah. Anybody else. I wouldn't have done such a thing. But of course, immediately, I took like a sneak selfie of myself with her in the background, and then I, like, it lightened up the image or whatever. The profile is like a clone. It's so her.
Starting point is 00:14:35 It's insane. Yeah, it was nuts. If you would have sent us that, if you would have sent us that and just said, I think this is Gracie, we would go. That's crazy. Well, she's back in town. It was so shocking. I didn't even think about tricking you guys.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Yeah. I wanted to be as. Look, when I say someone looks like someone, they're going to look like them. Yeah. Because I never say that. Right. Everyone's the dumbest fucker on the place. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Where it's like, you look like this guy! You know, like, what are you talking about? Check it out. Dude, white guy with a beer. There's a Gracie sitting next to me. And you were all like, holy shit. It was crazy. He goes, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:15:06 That's me. Is that AI? Did you put me there? Then she told me get a picture of her face. Yes, she did. I was like, Gracie, I don't know, I'm going to do that. And she goes, no, no, after the movie, show her a picture of me. Say it's my friend.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Ask her if she agrees and take her picture. And I go. Okay, so I'm gonna say hi. So, you know, she's around Gracie's age. I said, I'm gonna walk up to this woman who's there with, I think, her mother, and say, hi, I'm almost 40. Can I have a picture of your face?
Starting point is 00:15:35 It's okay. You're looking like my friend. It's great. Gracie like she is. Now, granted, we're not going to post this picture. No, no, no, no. You have to take our word for it. Because then we also started talking about how we were going to replace her with her. But also, you don't need to see a picture of her. We'll get a picture of Gracie. Yeah, that's her. We did ask you to ask if this woman wanted an internship or something.
Starting point is 00:16:07 Yeah, yeah. And we could replace her with, but then replace Gracey with her. She got mad. Yeah. Oh yeah. She's like, talk to her. She was like, what the fuck? Yeah. What the fuck you? Yeah. What the fuck you? I don't talk to her. You can't replace me. Well, yeah. And I was like, well, we can't replace you because you left. So there's nothing to replace that. Yeah. All right. Let's go check out. Wow, it's pretty clean in here. This is very, it's the new brown hair.
Starting point is 00:16:29 That rug has never been that clean hair. It looks like I dyed my hair. It does. It looks so dark. It's so dark. Well, it's also because I think it just hasn't been exposed to the sun. My hair gets real light in the sun. Right. Your hair hasn't been hiding it for two plus years. It's been protected.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Yeah, dude. It hasn't been very long when I get it cut. Covenant still? Oh, cool. Oh, right. Hey, I lit some grandma candle. Yep. I like it. All right. Let's have a look. These chips are so good.
Starting point is 00:16:56 They are so good. And we have- I overflowed my back. We have so many. Oh, we got it covered. All right. So here's the queso. We went eight ounce instead of four.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Yep. That's gonna be me soon. Good thinking. Bleach your hair. Two years. It'll fix it off. It fixes everything. It'll fix it off.
Starting point is 00:17:16 It fixes. Ooh. Could this be better than torches? What do you think? Sals. Ask the expert. We got the fajita tacos and fahita and the courtee, uh, the poohsado. Looks like it comes with nothing. Yeah. Like topping. Yeah, that was weird. Nothing. Yep. So we got the fajita.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Oh no. That's okay. And added cheese couldn't get the cotilla. I tried. Oh well. Do I remember like Odea? I don't care. That was his exact, yeah. Hey, I would just, I was just letting you know, dude. It would have been fine. It would have been fine if this one wasn't on the other side. Yeah. What do you mean? Oh, I was there. No, yeah, he was still there at that point. I was just saying nothing.
Starting point is 00:17:56 You should have just faked that the order was done and he was, he wasn't even done ordering. It got to the point where we knew what we were gonna get and there was no more. Nick's work here was done. He still had work. It wasn't like, it was just like he knew what's happening. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:10 No, I was there for the order. I was there until you pulled out your credit card and I left. He's like, all right, I've seen enough. Time to go do a dipsy do. Right, that's what I'm saying. You were there till you pulled out the credit card. He wasn't finished. That's, uh, poya.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Yep. That looks good. That looks good. Arizona. Looks like a appoyo a loco. Is this a good place? I think he's going to be a polio loll over. Is this a good place?
Starting point is 00:18:27 Well, find out. Right now, by it. Give the review. Two minutes. Let's go. Two minutes. Wait a minute. Just as you looked away.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Oh, it's turning round. Good for you. Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything. Like packing a spare stick. I like to be prepared. That's why I remember 988, Canada's suicide crisis help line. It's good. to know just in case. Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder
Starting point is 00:19:04 anytime. 988 suicide crisis helpline is funded by the government in Canada.
