Starting point is 00:00:00 This BBC podcast is supported by ads outside the UK. The best B2B marketing gets wasted on the wrong people. So when you want to reach the right professionals, use LinkedIn ads. LinkedIn has grown to a network of over 1 billion professionals, including 130 million decision makers, and that's where it stands apart from other ad buys. You can target your buyers by job title, industry, company, role, seniority, skills, company revenue, so you can stop wasting budget on the wrong audience. It's why LinkedIn ads generates the highest B2B return.

And I used to go through a new hose every year because of kings and tangles.
Starting point is 00:00:57 I'm definitely not gentle with my hose. I drag it across the driveway. around the yard, and I just wanted something that's easy and durable. That's why the pocket hose ballistic has honestly been such a great upgrade for me. It's super lightweight, easy to manage, and easy to store. You turn the water on and it grows, and when you turn the water off, it shrinks back down to pocket size. And I love that it's reinforced with a liquid crystal polymer used in bulletproof vests, so it feels really tough and long-lasting. For a limited time, when you purchase a new pocket hose ballistic, you'll get a free, $360,000, $360,000.

Pockethose.com slash podcast. This is Five Live Boxing. Promoters, don't you just love them? They have to deal with all sorts. In the last day or so, Ben Shalom's top of the bill in London on Saturday night collapsed.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Adam Azim is not fighting. Friend Hennessy now tops the bill. And in Las Vegas last Saturday night, one of Eddie Hearn's top prospects came in 8 pounds over. That's ridiculous. Eddie was not happy. And Frank Warren's heavyweight prospect, Moses Itama, was meant to fight last Saturday at the co-op in Manchester.
Starting point is 00:02:23 That was postponed. Anyway, two weeks ago, Doughton Smith won a world title, and this Saturday, in Newcastle, another matchroom boxer, Josh Kelly, fights backram Murta Zaliev for the IBF Super World Tour. title. That's a five live Saturday night special if you don't mind me saying so. And the Saturday after next, Nick Ball defends his WBA featherweight title against Brandon Figueroa in Liverpool. It's a hard, hard fight. Busy times in our boxing world.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Now I sat down with Frank Warren, the boss at the House of Heavyweight, I like the town to that to talk Ball, Moses, Big Tyson Fury, Dana, Del Boy, and a few other topics. I'm Steve Bunce and this is Five Live Boxing. In an ideal world, all podcasts, all shows on Five Live, would be live. I mean, absolutely live. We'd be coming from a venue, we'd be coming from a location. But sometimes it doesn't work that way. So I'm in a venue and I'm with somebody.
Starting point is 00:03:23 But I've got to warn that person that this is not going out for 100 hours from now. So I'm with Frank Warren in his office. So Frank, before we start, just to bear that in mind. Because no disrespects. I don't want to walk out the door and suddenly there's a massive announcement and someone's announced something. So if you know something, I can tell from your face, your smiley face that you do, please be kind to me.
Starting point is 00:03:45 So can we start with Tyson Fury? I know he's in Thailand carrying logs up and down mountains. How is the big fella? Well, he's all right. I haven't spoken to him, actually, since he's been out there. But that's not true. I spoke to him the other week. But, yeah, he's all okay.
Starting point is 00:04:00 He's desperate and wants to fight. But it's all about getting the deal done, and the deal's being negotiated at the moment. And might he be April, May? Is there a loose date? He may be, but obviously the plan was him and AJ. Back in September. And AJ, unfortunately, he's, you know, that terrible accident
Starting point is 00:04:21 with the two fatalities of his best mates and two of his best friends and his training team. And I understand he had a couple of injuries as well. So that looks, you know, we don't know. No one knows. And I'm sure nobody would even attempt to talk to AJ at a moment about when he's fighting.
Starting point is 00:04:42 I mean, obviously he's been through a terrible time losing his friends. But Tyson's ready to go, and Tyson wants to fight. And Frank, the first fight back April or May, does it matter who he fights, in your opinion? I mean, it was when he came back after the big break, he thought Saffiri, we had an incredible crowd in Manchester, and it was a crowd full of love. I remember on the night being a little bit shocked,
Starting point is 00:05:07 not shocked, but wow, They love him. Does it matter this time? Could we have a Saffa-Safari-style opponent? Or does it have to be a better opponent? I think he'll have a decent opponent in front of him. You know, he's not into fighting a YouTuber or, you know, one of those type of fights.
Starting point is 00:05:25 He wants to fight a recognised fighter. Javonna Davis is looking for a fight. Who? Javonahs is looking for a fight, can we make that? Tank v Tyson. I doubt Tyson get to wait a while. In all fairness, Tyson, over the last two or three weeks,
Starting point is 00:05:40 since that first film over the Christmas period when he's talked about coming back, he looks like his body's changed shape in the last three weeks. He's not how it was, you know, before he came back, you know, when he came with us, where he was, what is he,
Starting point is 00:05:56 10, 11 stone overweight. He trains regularly anyway. He keeps yourself in good condition. And he works hard, and he is where he is now. So I spoke to George earlier. I was talking to George earlier on, and he was just saying, look,
Starting point is 00:06:09 and I was joking with him and saying that this is, you know, the situation you're in the moment is a bit like Don King. I said, but the only problem is you have to pay the fighters more than about 15% of what they're making. And he says, it's a pity that, because if we didn't have to, I could retire after a year.
Starting point is 00:06:23 A lot of heavyweights, I'm not sure where to start. We do Dubois in a second. We'll do Fabio in a moment and we'll do Moses in a moment. Let's start with Del Boy Chazorra, because he's been in the news over the last few days.
Starting point is 00:06:37 linking in with Deonti Wilder. Shelley Finkel has said he's spoken to you. Where are we with that? We got promotional doing it. Yeah. So we haven't had any conversation. He's supposed to fought in December, and he didn't fight.
Starting point is 00:06:49 He agreed to fight against Babe Miller. Then he didn't want that fight. Then he was going to fight Dillian White, and again he pulled out of that fight. So that's where we are. Okay. So is there an imminent announcement about that? About Delba going forward?
Starting point is 00:07:03 Not in a moment. Forget that then. Let's move on Moses. was meant to be fought. I mean, this conversation here was meant to be happening in Manchester. We was hoping to do it in the Lowry or wherever you were staying. Of course, that fell through when Moses suffered a slight india and we pushed to fight back.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Where are we with Moses? I saw Francis earlier on. Moses will fight on the 28th of March. He tore a tear in his bicep, which stopped the fight from happening, which will be in this weekend. And that's where it's been postponed. to you. And it'd be against, thank you. It'd be against the same opponent.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Germain Franklin. And it's a good fight. It's a tough fight. He's, he's had, I think he's had 27 fights, lost two. Both on 12 rounds. Both 12 rounds. And one of them was a debatable decision against Dillian White. And four years ago, went the distance with AJ.
Starting point is 00:08:03 And AJ couldn't take him out. We all know that AJ's a big puncher. No, I think it's an inspired, inspired choice. Will he, we're sticking with the heavyweights and not necessarily of a guy that you promote, but a guy that you promoted, Alessander Usick. Will he try and keep the belts he's got, Usa? Could you see it?
Starting point is 00:08:20 What's your gut feeling? What's your inside feeling? He won't want to vacate him, but he's going to have to. If he doesn't defend him, he'll do what he had to do with the WBO, vacated it. And do you see... And every one of his managers against their out of fighters. So you've got a vested, you've got an interest.
Starting point is 00:08:36 So we want the fights to happen. We wanted Fabio to fight him. Fabio didn't want to win the title by being given to him. He was there and ready to go. And he'd been a big underdog in the fight. I'll get that. But Alex didn't want to fight him. Fabio's been an underdog in an awful lot of fights if he don't want me saying so.
Starting point is 00:08:53 And he's been top dogging all of them. Yeah, that's been top. Let's talk about Fabio. Is it April May potentially, defense? Yeah, he'll be out. He'll be defending his title. And he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, He's in a good place.
Starting point is 00:09:08 He's champion and he's an exciting fighter. And it's amazing what he's done. He's done it learning on the job, no amateur experience whatsoever. Learning during fights? Yeah. You can actually see him correcting things. And behind it in fights.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Yeah, coming from behind. But he's a tremendous puncher. He doesn't have a mandatory coming up, does he? He has got a mandatory coming up. Oh. Who's his mandatory? Number one is Moses.
Starting point is 00:09:31 But at the moment, he'll have a, he's looking to have a voluntary. But Moses is number one. in a couple of the organisations. And obviously he's got to be successful in his fight in March to remain as champion. And Daniel hasn't fought since the Ucic fight last summer. I've got a meeting with a couple of people here now today. Daniel will be fighting again in late April, May, in a big fight.
Starting point is 00:09:59 This is one of those situations. And I remember being in Bob Aram's office once in New York and he had a meeting coming up and he walked a lawyer for a very famous fighter so it was obviously who was having the meeting but we're not going to see
Starting point is 00:10:11 someone walk past her that's going to give away who were... Well, just come out of a meeting with a... That's what we do all day up here. I think we're in a business... Have it a secret doors?
Starting point is 00:10:18 We've got up with doors, yeah. I saw Sam notes floating around earlier on. Sam would be out again. He'd be fighting early May. But getting back to Daniel, will Daniel be April May as well, Frank, sometimes? Yeah. So we're very busy.
Starting point is 00:10:32 The heavyweight division, we're keeping it going. They're not sitting about on their backsides, they're out, all the heavyweights are busy. How many of these might be involved in either ring card shows or ring shows or more than that re-ed season?
Starting point is 00:10:45 Because the lines are blurred? 95% of these fights will be UK fights. Unless we go to Germany again, as we just done a sell-out show over there with Aegee. But you might go with Agic Caboiole again in Germany because it was so sensational last time. Do a football stadium next time. Yeah, but it sounds to me like you could do a football stadium comfortably.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Well, it can. We sold out in a... I think it was a day. We sold that stadium out in a day. He sold it out. He sold it out. In a day. And the atmosphere,
Starting point is 00:11:11 a lot of people who work for me and other people who went out there said it's the best atmosphere they've ever experienced a boxing event. Yeah, Barry Jones called me up on the Sunday and said the same thing. He said it's the top three. But I know that,
Starting point is 00:11:25 because I've had great nights in Germany. I already is. But this was a different. They sat there from the beginning to the end. So a new audience almost. A strange. It's strange. His supporters.
Starting point is 00:11:34 I mean, I've been going to Germany for many, many years, taking fighters out there, you know, loads of fighters out there over the years and done joint promotions with Peter Cole out there. Yeah, of course. But this was another level. So we've just mentioned in these fighters, the four fighters you mentioned there in the entire seven years, so that's five of the top six or seven fighters in the world.
Starting point is 00:11:55 There will be a situation, surely, in the next two years, Frank, where you're going to have to match your fighters against your fighters, especially at heavyweight. Well, that's what we're doing anyway. That's what's happening. So there's no alternative for that. You can't, because you've got ones and twos and champions. But that's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:12:10 It's about the guys fighting each other. There's no problem with that. You know, Lawrence O'Cololi's going to be fighting. He's in a great position. Yeah, great position. These guys will all be fighting each other. That's what will happen. Daniel will be fighting another Queensbury fighter.
Starting point is 00:12:24 But the tradition, I mean, the traditional way, you know, Daniel, after that loss and after a couple of heavy fights, you know, the AJ fight was a heavy, intense fight, and then the loss against Ousek, I mean, the traditional way would have been to bringing back in... He's fighting a top 10 fighter. No, remember what December in an easy fighter?
Starting point is 00:12:41 He's fighting the top 10 fighter in his next fight. And is that sort of shifting landscape, or is that just... No, it's because it's what he is. I mean, he was the former world champion. Yeah. I mean, he was on a real role, beating good fighters,
Starting point is 00:12:55 winning every one of those fights as an underdog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Great run. Every one of them. And Usoc, he just wasn't... there on the night. Some stuff went on behind the scenes, which is all we've all been talked about.
Starting point is 00:13:06 He also got caught of an amazing shot. He also gets caught with an amazing shot against Ussie. He caught Ousek a couple of times in that fight, but he just wasn't there, and a lot of rushing to get ready to get in the ring. And that's not, well, there's no excuse he got beaten, and that's the end of it. But he's coming back, and he's a young guy.
Starting point is 00:13:23 I think he's just turned 28 now, which he's very young for a heavy way. And he's going straight in with a top 10 ranked fighter. Frank, let me ask you about a fight that recently the W. BCC's announced that they were not calling for Perspids for Hamza Chiras against Christian Mbilly and that it will be Diego...
Starting point is 00:13:39 Sorry, in theory it will be Diego Pacheco, WBO mandatory against Hamz O'Sherry, sort of WB, two mandaties fighting each other for that vacant WCO and is that going out to Perspitz? He's fighting Pichekko. Will there be... Is that done? It's just waiting for a date in the venue. I'm not just waiting for a done. That's who he's going to do it. We'll either agree terms or go to Perspitz next week.
Starting point is 00:13:58 And when would... Would you try and have that in April or May as well? That fight would take place to... late April because of Ramadan. So will we have a stadium fight this side of the summer? A what? A stadium fight, do you think? We have a stadium fight in the summer, yeah. We've got to book him, we booked it.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Okay. Spurs or Wembley or doesn't it matter? We've got a booking at Wembley. And so have you booked one for later in the year as well? So are we looking at... We're busy, well, it's what we're doing. I mean, it can't be no more busier than we're doing. We've kicked off, I've just told you about, what, about six shows?
Starting point is 00:14:31 That's a six, that's what... They're busy, and they're big, big shows, all of them. They're all in arenas. So they're 20,000s or 22 if we go to the... Nick Ball off, Nick Ball's fighting in Liverpool. He's defending his title games, Figuero. Which is a big fight. Massive fight, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:47 I was going to talk about that in a moment. Nick Ball's, you know, has been... This is full defence. One of Britain's outstanding fighters. He's in a tough fight, a former two-time world champion. So we're looking at a couple of stadium fights from you... from you alone and five or six or seven 20,000 arenas
Starting point is 00:15:05 or 15 to 20,000 arenas shows in a year. Those are massive amounts of people paying to go through the turnstiles. Those are amounts we haven't seen this for the last three or four years. All these people keep saying about boxing's dead and I mean, I don't know what they're. People come into the sport, boxing's dead, it's broken. The biggest selling, biggest selling sports one day,
Starting point is 00:15:30 sport event, attended event last year in Europe was Daniel Dubois and Usick at Wemble. The year before that I think it was Daniel Dubois and Joshua. And then we did Tyson
Starting point is 00:15:48 and Dillian Wai. Which is the highest grossing event not boxing. So it's three in the last four years. Just amazing and enormous events. So it's flying. And we're delivering that on a regular regular basis.
Starting point is 00:16:02 1,200 professional boxers. When you started, they were about 450 in the early 80s. Do you know that? Well, we're, you know,
Starting point is 00:16:09 there's a lot of professional boxes, but you've got to deliver and there's a lot of big shows and we're selling out, we sold out, as I say, Usick, we sold, we had a great,
Starting point is 00:16:16 I mean, the show, off there was only a thousand tickets left for Moses and we shifted to date, so that'd be a sellout. Liverpool be a sellout. We've got a show in Dublin.
Starting point is 00:16:25 You've seen it. Which is a cracking, cracking fight with Anto Kacchi against Jazzah. another world title fight. I'm told that's near, if that hasn't sold out, it's near enough sold out.
Starting point is 00:16:35 It's just gone. There's no tickets left. It's done. Go on. See, that's an interesting thing there because that no tickets left is even better than a sellout because there's just the demand for that.
Starting point is 00:16:45 I was in Ireland when you announced it. Queensbury shows are sold. Yeah. And selling, we're doing a fabulous job and we're busy. And these are Queensbury shows. Nobody else's shows. These are our shows. Your shows.
Starting point is 00:16:58 What's planned? Because generally in January, we know when we're going to Saudi, certainly the last three years, 24 or 25. Do you know what's planned for Saudi? I don't know at the moment. I don't know what's going on at Saudi at the moment. So you haven't got like Shiraz and Pacheco isn't going to Saudi in Mayo or anything?
Starting point is 00:17:13 That will not be in Saudi. Well, that's great news if you don't mind me's answer. I've got to be careful what we say here. But, you know, that's for me personally, I think that's great news. The best B2B marketing gets wasted on the wrong people. So when you want to reach the right professionals, use LinkedIn ads. Starting point is 00:19:02 apply. It's 2009 and we're in the German mountains. A man straps himself into a car on the world's most dangerous racetrack. He whispers to himself, it's time to put my balls on the dashboard. As he starts the engine. In 15 minutes, he's in an ambulance unconscious. In 15 years, he's a billionaire. This is Toto Wolf, Formula One's most powerful team boss and the breakout star of Drive to survive. This week on Good Bad Billionaire, how Toto Wolf made his billions. Listen wherever you get your Podcasts. Well, I've got to ask you a couple of other little things.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Different bits and pieces about the way the business is opening up at the moment. Dana White, he's announcing all sorts of things. He's drumming up lots of support. Have you met Dana White? I mean, do you know him? Have you had any conversations with him as we go forward? I've met him, yeah, met him a few times. Because he tried to get into boxing about 12 years ago.
Starting point is 00:19:59 People forget this and it failed miserably. and he vanished. His story, his idea, Frank, about no belts, just having their one belt, they're going to have their own belt in theory, and then that's the only belt you can compete for, and he's talking about not having most of the modern weights, just having the so-called traditional weights.
Starting point is 00:20:18 What's your feeling on that? Well, I don't like one belt, because we've had that years and years ago, and we know that just didn't work. But, look, that's his vision. for me it's not I think that there are belts there you'd get unification fights they happen unification you find out who the champion is
Starting point is 00:20:38 and the governing body is independent in in its rankings and ratings they decide who's going to be fighting they put fights out to perspids and they go out on the open market and whatever I think that their vision is basically a UFC of boxing yeah but that's his view and he's a very astute man and a very very clever man As for the weights, I totally disagree with that altogether.
Starting point is 00:21:02 And obviously, for obvious reasons, because I've been around a long time. You have. I've seen guys who struggled to make weights. I've seen deaths in the ring from people who suffer from dehydration. And that's the reason junior weights were brawl in some fights. That's the reason you have the rings at a certain size. And not small rings and all this.
Starting point is 00:21:19 You know, at the end of the day, you know, it's about the boxer's health and well-being. Now, one of the things that he's sort of talking about, is that obviously he wants to implement what he does it in the UFC. He wants to change those weights. He wants to attract fighters. Can I ask you, what would be the attraction then if you were a fighter? If you were a manager now and not a fighter, and you've got a couple of young fighters,
Starting point is 00:21:44 and they came into you, and it was 30 years ago, they said, Frank, I like this look at this Dana White. What's the attraction of going to? Well, I don't know. It depends what the offer is. I mean, you know, it's the whole thing. I don't know. Until you see it, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:56 I think the first three shows, from what I understand they're in. a studio. Yeah, they are in a studio as part of his complex. And I've got to ask you about this other guy. Is it Ed Pereira? Have you ever met this guy?
Starting point is 00:22:06 I've never met him. George has met him. He admits he's not a boxing promoter or he admits he's an entertainment promoter. Well, I've never met him. He apparently works on the show, which I was unaware of on the, on our show.
Starting point is 00:22:22 The New York... No, Dubois. Dubois. Dubois on AJ. But I think he was just booking an advertiser. I don't know what he was doing, but it certainly had nothing to do with what we did. We promoted that show. That was, you know, we run that whole thing. He didn't, he didn't have anything to do with that as far as, you know, what we do. Nothing at what
Starting point is 00:22:43 self. So I don't know what he did for the Saudis, whatever he did you did. And as regarding, you know, the show in New York, yeah, I understand he helped them with that show, which was a show in the middle of which we know is Times Square where nobody attended and so forth. That's it. But he's talking about, was it, 100... He wants to go up off the so-called record, which is some sort of, you know, going back to Tony's out of fire. He knows. I mean, I don't know if it's...
Starting point is 00:23:06 It's legitimate, yeah. I don't know whether it's funded. I have no idea. He's obviously, he's an experienced businessman, so I'm sure he won't be saying this if it weren't the case. I understand he's talking about putting it on YouTube. Yeah, YouTube. But so was Mick Hennessy putting fights on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:23:25 There's fights, you know, Almost every week. You can have a YouTube channel. You know, all these things. No, no, of course. There's been a fighters on YouTube, daily week to week. But at the end day,
Starting point is 00:23:34 the only way fighters fight is if they get paid. And you've got to fund it and make it work financially. Now, we haven't religiously met in a January and planned and talked about a year, but I'm sensing from talking to you here, and I've been around you an awful lot, that you're really looking forward to 2026. I mean, every year, the last five years has been ridiculous. Even during COVID, we did ridiculous things.
Starting point is 00:23:57 If you don't mind me saying so. We work hard. We had a plan, which we put into practice probably just after Box Nation. And we've worked on it. And we've invested in fights. I mean, Daniel Dubois has been with us for... Yeah, 2017 started. So, you know, he's coming up to 9, 10 years.
Starting point is 00:24:20 Yeah, yeah. He was 20 for 5 years, though, in all fairness. He was with us for 10 years. But he's been with us for 4 years now. Moses. Yeah. So we've invested in these guys and then,
Starting point is 00:24:33 and obviously then came along which was great at the time, came along was great, was the Read season shows. Frank, you know, it's like the heavyweight thing, was there a conscious decision
Starting point is 00:24:42 to get heavyweight? Yeah. So they just thought, oh, so it was like a decision, let's go get the heavies. We took Tyson, we'd already, we signed a deal with BT at the time
Starting point is 00:24:53 and we took Tyson in there and Tyson never had any TV deal. Yeah. And I said, I want us to get in, I want to do this deal. As I said earlier, he was about 10, 11 stone overweight. And I said, I'm telling you, we will control heavyweight boxing
Starting point is 00:25:07 within three or four years. And that's exactly what happened. Yeah. And that was dope and doing, but Ty's the plan. Yeah. And that's what we did. And, but, but the, but it's not just heavyweight. It's not just the established heavyweight.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Of course it's not. You've got a whole group of younger ones coming. We've missing out some of them. Nick Ball. Yeah. You know, look at all these young fighters, you know, young kids, Sam Nooksky, was very unlucky if it weren't for that cut not to win the world title.
Starting point is 00:25:34 He was fighting for a world title. Against an American who is being fated against a guy that they were like Saturdays. Yeah, but we had a bad cut. Early on in the fight, second round of the fight. And then you look at quite a few fighters over all these youngsters coming from. We've invested in them and that's what we do. We do it better than anybody.
Starting point is 00:25:49 I want to ask you about one of my favourites, and I know over the years it's been one of your favourites. He's a guy that's putting a lot of service. Anthony Yard. He came up short out in Saudi Arabia. And it's not a trick question. I don't know. Has there any talk about what Andy might do?
Starting point is 00:26:04 No. I've got no idea. I've got no idea. I've got no idea. Andy Yard, when we look back on it, we might look at his challenges and the men he came up against and they were really,
Starting point is 00:26:15 he had three incredibly hard world title challenges. He had fights that he could have won as well. Yeah, that's the bad thing. Had they listened, he would have won them. He certainly won against Kobole. Oh, yeah. You could have beaten Koblova. Could have beat him.
Starting point is 00:26:29 No, no, absolutely. Considering it. Should have been. Considering the location. I'd annoyed me more than anything. But anyway, it is what it is. And Nick Ball, Frank, because that's going to be,
Starting point is 00:26:39 that's taking place this weekend, or obviously next weekend. Nick Ball, the Figuero fight, at first I just, you know, obviously I know if Figuero is, but then you look at it, this is a really hard fight for him. It's a tough fight.
Starting point is 00:26:50 This is a hard to... Sorry, the height disparity. High disparity, yeah. And he's good at using that. Nick's short against most fights, as he fights. but he's an unbelievable competitor. I love him, I do.
Starting point is 00:27:01 Yeah. And he's provided, I mean, those two back-to-back Saudi fights when he had the draw for the World Tidal fight and then beat Ray forward. Look at the opposition he fought. No, I can't think of too many fighters who fought the quality of opposition.
Starting point is 00:27:12 No, no, no, he's one of those guys. Should have been a fighter at a year. We look at those six or seven fights. If he beats Figueroa, that's a seven-fight, six-fight sequence that's, no, a seven-fight, sorry, six-fight sequence that's quite incredible.
Starting point is 00:27:25 And the fighters, that he's fought, That's what I'm saying. Good fighters, great sequence. So at the end of this year, Frank, who in your stable, inside your camp, could be, or do you fancy could be a world champion, either still or could be a new one? In an ideal world. Crystal ballgazing. Crystal ballgazing. I'm hoping that Sam and Oaks will win a world title. I think he showed his capable of doing that.
Starting point is 00:27:52 I'm hoping Nick can unify the titles. Yeah. Be interested to see where we go, where Tyson goes. Moses. Interesting, see where he goes. See where he goes. I mean, he's fight in Manchester on the 28th of March would determine his future.
Starting point is 00:28:11 But if he comes through that, then he'll fight for a world title this year. Are there any fights inside your stable that you won't make, like, Fighter v. Fighter? So is there a situation? Moses won't fight Fabio, because they're both with Ben. Same trainer, but you never know what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:28:29 You know, these things, who knows, who knows. A fight that I particularly like, came up short against Fabio Wardley and then post-fight failed a drug test for recreational drugs. Is there, as the promoter of that particular fight, do you know what's going on? Are you kept in a loop on that? What happened is he tested positive for cocaine
Starting point is 00:28:50 and he's got to have his B sample tested and he will have a hearing. and he'll have to explain if the B sample comes through the same as the A sample how it got in his system. Have you spoken to Joseph since then? I spoke to him a couple of times just as this thing happened and it was really sad and I was shocked as anybody. But the fact of the matter is if the B sample comes up the same as the A sample,
Starting point is 00:29:15 he's got to explain how it got there. Yeah, it's as simple as that. Yeah. So Frank, throwing it forward past this 100 hours, hopefully not too much happens in this 100 hours. When might we hear about a Tyson Fury fight or date or opponent? Is there a sort of, you know, do you want to do it by the end of Jan? Or do you want to do it in the ring after Nick Ball?
Starting point is 00:29:35 I think we're probably known in 101 hours. Long as long as it's 101 hours and not 90, and not 90 hours. You know. So if he's going to fight in April, we'll get it announced. Okay. Are you expecting some kind of resolution possibly to all the rumors, surrounding Wilder and Del Boyes. That's something you expected to be solved at some point.
Starting point is 00:29:59 The rooms are flying everywhere. I've been boxed rumour of business. I've seen Wilder was going to fight. Who signed and sealed? Fighting everybody. You know, he's fighting everybody. We'll see what happens. I don't believe what I read in the news.
Starting point is 00:30:13 No, that's, I don't do a lot of newspapers these days. I do magazines. I don't believe what I'm reading the magazines. I don't do a lot of magazines. I don't do podcasts. I don't play. Listen, Frank, it's been an absolute pleasure and a delight talking to you. Five Live Sports.
