This is Five Live Boxing.
So it's a special night at Tottenham.
Tyson Fury obviously won.
He won every single round again, Arsland Beck-McMoodle.
But the real story was that the fight has been made between Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Well, that was the story before the fight started.
Once the fight was over, it's maybe not as clear.
All will become clear.
I'm Steve Bunce, and this is Five Live Boxing.
So the fight finished about, I don't know, 12, 15 minutes ago.
I'm now in a sort of corridor close to Tyson Fury's dressing room.
It's absolutely packed in it.
In fact, his wife, Paris Fury has just gone past.
And she said to me, you'll have to fight your way in, Steve.
Well, I'm not really into fighting my way in.
But what I am into is discussing what happened in the ring during the fight
and in the ring after the fight when Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury were involved.
Everyone seems to be smiling, including the person who's young.
to be talking to for 30 minutes.
Tasha, Jonas, Tasha, why is it
everyone that down here is smiling?
You're smiling.
I'm always smiling.
I'm always smiling.
I'm always smiling.
First of all, thanks for joining us.
Thank you.
What did you think of the fight itself,
12 rounds?
One comfortably, a shutout as good as.
Yeah, I think there was a,
I think the first shot,
Mademadov through.
It looked like a cortice and cold
and for a little second.
And it's all it takes.
Little half second, yeah.
Because when it's the big boys, anything can happen.
And he knows his first and second round stats are ridiculous.
Like 17 out of 19 in the first second round.
So the first three rounds, everybody knew he was going to be dangerous,
but no one thought the first punch of the fight.
But then after that, yeah, Tyson quickly got his jab.
People, I think, as Fiore's job is so underestimated.
His jab is brilliant.
He just kept them at the end of it.
Sometimes he smothered himself, but he's been out of the ring for so long.
And I thought it was a great measured.
controlled fight and he's done really well.
And let's give him his props when he deserves it.
Nobody in this world is choosing Madhmadav for a comeback after he's being out for nearly
two years.
So give him his credit.
Yeah, and I do give him his credit for that.
And he seemed to get a bit closer and relax into it a little bit more.
But the thing that really got me was that there was no showboating from Tyson, no gimmicks.
no fun, almost no
faces. None of the stuff we saw
against Vladimir, none of the stuff we've seen all the
time. It was a bit like business.
He was shaking off, well, shaking
off the ring rust. Don't that sounds like a cliche, but that's what
he was doing. He was shaking off the ring rust.
Yeah, I mean, he had a few little moments
where he's pulling out his tongue and stuff that I saw.
But generally, it's the other way around.
He was serious because he had to be
because Mahmadoff's dangerous.
And when, like I say,
did we understand the rest of the
to make Mac Mac Muldoff.
Did we all just assume that he was a big lump
and he was stopped by Ajik Cabo and that Tyson would do the same?
Did we just assume it would be six rounds Tyson?
Potentially.
Yeah, I think we did.
I think we did.
But his chin was great.
You see some of the uppercuts in slow-mo?
They were making mine knees go up in the cheap seats.
They were cracking shots.
Yeah, they were great shots.
But again, you know, it didn't take Tyson long to find them shots.
And I think we all worry about.
about which Tyson turns up.
And that's...
That noise you can hear in the background
is the promoter of tonight's show.
Tyson Fury's manager and also Tyson Fury's friend.
That's Spencer Brown.
First of all, Spence, thanks for joining us.
Were you suggesting that I'm rough and Tash is rough,
or I'm just rough?
You know what I'm...
Because...
She lives in Liverpool and all that, you know what I mean?
Knock half the fellas out there.
Now that's hard.
You know what I mean?
If you go to Liverpool,
Not the fellas out, that's an hard, no.
This is all because I called him dodgy.
She's right, though.
Did you call the promotion?
First of all, I said that Tyson came over when he came out of the ring.
Came over to me as he went to the medical room and said,
Steve, you've always said 12 rounds is better another one round knockout.
And the rest of that sentence is, especially when you're coming back.
So I was right, he was right, and I think he was right.
Were you happy with what you saw tonight?
Yeah, I thought he'd get rid of him in eight, actually.
Yeah, that was a number of, Tash, another he's talking about.
And, yeah, I was pleased
because that kid,
well, he's not a kid,
he's a big beast,
isn't he?
Yeah, he's a monster.
But, but he's got,
he's not been stopped with,
with punches.
No, he's been broken down.
He's been broken down
with the bodies,
and that's with another one
of our fighters,
Ajach Kabai L.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Now, I ain't seen
nobody stop him
with a blow to the,
to the jaw.
No, no.
He walks, he, he's a wrestler,
really.
He never, he only did was
Bears!
He wrestled Tyson.
He wrestled Tyson.
He tried to spoil Tyson all night,
didn't he?
And you know what?
He's brilliant at spoiling.
Very, very good.
How he never got a point taking off?
I don't know.
But anyway...
You've just won every single round.
You've had 60,000 people
and you're moaning at the referee
who didn't take a point off.
I'm over the moon how the show went as well.
I thought we've done a good job.
No, no, you did a great job, son.
Let's get that way.
Now, let's get to this.
The end, we couldn't hear the exchange
between Tyson and Lina and AJ.
But apparently...
What was the gist of it?
And why didn't we get a formal announcement then, Spencer?
Right, I tell you why, because I don't think...
AJ's decided, I think he's decided on fighting.
This fight will 1 million percent happen.
Yes.
But I don't know whether he wants a warm-up fight.
He's been for a hell of a journey this year.
Oh yes, absolutely.
A terrible, terrible incident.
He was very cool tonight.
It's very respectful.
The fight will happen.
It's when and where.
Okay.
And for me, it has to be Wembley.
Yeah, okay.
I love a plam.
And his croke park has been serious.
I know that people have talked, that's what I'm saying.
Well, we've heard Gareth Davis says at Crowe.
He must have been there when they must have been hiding under a chair or something when they announced it.
Yeah, what?
So, so with, how was Tyson?
Because I'm going to, you know, I'm going to speak to him in a minute, hopefully I'm going to wander back in an addressing room.
But how, how was Tyson when it was over?
Because sometimes, do you remember against Otto Vallin when he was on the floor when he was either?
Because he had the car.
Yeah, he had to get out of trouble, didn't he?
I don't think you got out of trouble.
I thought he started to endure himself from six rounds onwards.
And I think that as the fight progressed,
I think he endured himself even more.
He got his rhythm.
He kept swapping for more for Dr. Southpour.
He kept confusing him.
That jab came and it was lovely and it was effective.
And what he does with that jab, he throws a jab
and then steps him with an uppercut and must have caught him six or seven times flush on a jaw.
I think more than that.
Oh, well, maybe more.
I'm thinking maybe 20 and 10 were like,
knockout uppercats.
Yeah, they were horrendous.
We're in slow-mo.
When you get here with a shot, you turn your neck turn.
You end up looking back that way.
There's spit everywhere.
You saw it, actually.
And he went back to the corner, didn't he?
He looked a couple of times.
He just wobbled back, didn't you?
He's going to any minute this guy.
But he didn't.
But he didn't.
And he's not six foot four.
He's about six foot seven or something.
I've been saying it was six-ten all week.
He's a lump.
Don't correct me.
He's a big lump, which is the technical.
He could turn away.
Very respectful, kid.
You know, lovely.
Very respectful.
And Tyson enjoyed the chair in the ring with him.
I can see that.
Well, I'm going to go and see Tyson now if I can.
I think we'll be allowed to.
Tasha.
Tasha and I walk down.
Let's walk back with Spence.
We might get a bit of pizza.
We might get a bit of pizza.
It's a special Liverpool.
So there's pizzas at the door.
We might get a bit of pizza and a few minutes with Tyson Fury.
Let's have a little wander through.
Don't tip me with a good time.
Tash, you only want to.
Peter Ste and Spence.
It's a girl's troop.
You only want some chips, don't you?
It's a girl's true.
Thanks, fella.
So we're inside Tyson's dressing room now.
I can see him over the back.
Let's just try and get him.
Just go over to him, Tash.
Just get close to him.
This is a bit guerrilla tactic in here, Tash, to be perfect honest.
I feel like you're using me.
We are using you.
We are using you.
Tice's going to get a couple of seconds.
Tassadson Jonas is with me, as you can see.
First of all, as you said, when you came over
when you saw me outside the medical room,
I've always said the 12 rounds is better than one.
And the rest of that sentence is, especially when you've had a 16-month gap.
For sure.
For sure.
It was good to be back and good to be back under the lights.
Crowd were amazing.
See all them fans are unbelievable.
It was like a massive welcome home 16-month away,
four years since the last time of Box here in the UK.
And it was a homecoming worthy of any king.
Yeah.
And that appreciates it.
Were you surprised by it?
I was surprised by the wolfie.
I mean, that was genuine.
They loved you.
Do you know what it was?
There's been a lot of boxing on lately.
And a lot more to come in the next few weeks.
So everyone's been struggling to sell tickets at their shows.
It's a great point.
66,000 people are here tonight for the Dixie King's return after two losses back to back.
And being out the ring 16 months is amazing.
That's what you call support.
And MacMudov took some of the best punches you've ever.
thrown some of those other.
Yeah, he did.
Some of the best ones you've ever thrown.
I threw some good shots.
It took me a little bit to get going.
And I wasn't super rusty.
And he was a big strong man.
You grew into it.
You grew into the fight.
I grow into it.
And that's what it's about.
I got my footwork going, got my jab.
My feet was working.
Body shots.
Tough old boy, he kept grabbing all to me.
He said, he was grabbing all to me.
He thought you were a bear!
He thought you were a bear!
Yeah, he was going, ah.
But you know what?
Hairplay to the fella.
God bless him.
And I'm glad we're all going home safe to our families.
And finally, at the end, you were talking to Anthony Joshua.
We couldn't hear it. What was said?
I'm going to ask you. You were saying it.
Listen, the height of brewing 10 years plus.
He's ringside. It's come for the show.
And I've called him out. I said, do you accept? He wouldn't accept.
Turkey said, do you want to fight him or not?
He just said, stumb. He didn't say.
Listen, maybe he's got a lot too much going on. I'm not sure.
But if he's come ringside...
And you've been supportive of that?
Yeah, yeah. I very have been.
I've not said anything about him.
I've left his name out of my mouth.
I know you're like my cover,
and obviously he's coming inside for a reason,
and he wouldn't accept.
So what can I say?
I tried to give the fans what they wanted.
I said, do you accept the fight?
Yes or no?
And he's like, one next.
He wouldn't say yes or no.
So, listen, the ball's in his court.
If he wants to fight, let's get it on in August or September.
If he doesn't, we move on somebody else.
There's a saying in the trade,
you can take the horse to the water,
but you can't make it drink it.
I'm ready.
I've just had a 12-round fight,
16 months out the ring.
He's back.
Can't wait.
To the King's bag.
Thank you.
Tyson, thank you so much for your time.
Cheers, Steve.
And letting us into the privacy of your room.
Thank you.
Thanks, fella.
Thanks, Tasha.
Lovely to see you.
It's unbelievable.
Thank you.
Great stuff.
So as we make our way out of the room and it is a very busy room.
Before I came in here, I just grabbed a few minutes with Frank Ron.
Tyson's promoter.
Frank, 12 rounds, shaking the rust off, going through stuff.
I spoke to Tyson when he just came out,
just before he went for medical.
And he came over and he said,
always said 12 rounds better than a quick stoppage, and I think it is.
Look, it is, he's been out for what, nearly, is it 20 months, whatever it may be?
He's been out for a long, long time, and, you know, to get back in there, get the rust out of his sister,
and he's gone with a guy ranked number five in the world, and, you know, he never, I think he might
have shared a round and won every round, and there's a couple of times where, and he's an awkward
sud, one, he kicks hold in, you know, big and clever what he does.
Yeah, big lump and cut a long story short, you know, he'd done what he had to do.
And there were moments when I thought if he was just that much away from catching him with a good shot and knocked him over.
He caught some good uppercuts.
And it sets up now the fight of AJ if he wants it.
Yeah, no, there was, we couldn't hear because the microphones didn't work.
I'm sure you were right in the middle of it.
Tyson looked like him and AJ were being friendly at first, did it seem to return?
And we couldn't hear AJ.
Franks, I'm going to have to ask you.
What was AJ said?
You're saying, you've been avoiding me for 10 years.
So he said, well, let's get it on, Tyson.
as they get it on.
And he said,
this is your moment now,
not now,
and all this stuff.
And the bottom line of it,
it's a fight that Tyson wants,
everyone wants it.
The whole,
you heard, the place.
The place you're mad for a second.
For me,
these two getting in on
would be the biggest sporting event here
since England winning a World Cup in 66.
It'd be mega, a mega fight.
And it's all up to time.
At the end day, it is all up to age age.
Do you want it or you don't want him?
So I have to negotiate,
been ongoing, so this is, like, as intense as they've ever been.
Yeah, yeah, it's been on, it's been on and on.
No, it's, it's only, it's only, it's only close and it's only done when it's signed.
Yeah.
So we can have as many conversations as possible.
What's the point, you know, I mean, I was shocked there.
I thought, actually, I thought it was going to be called on?
So, so was there a discussion earlier on today that it might be announced?
No, no, it's just like, I mean, what are you going to do after the fight?
He's here, he's coming to watch it.
You expect it's, and it's not rocket science, is it?
That's what everybody wants the next part to be.
That's what the discussions have been.
Unfortunately, that terrible tragedy for AJ and his team
that put a bit of a spanner in the works, so we say.
And final line, Frank, thanks very much.
Croke Park is being mentioned.
I mean, everyone seems to be talking to Croke Park.
Is that really a possibility?
There's a few scenarios there for it to happen.
We'll see.
No one about the venue.
Let's get the fight sign, folks.
You've got the fight sign.
There'll be plenty of places to go and put it on.
Frank, thanks.
much indeed.
So, so also, also down here in sort of, this underground.
Yeah, yeah, also down here in these chambers.
Yeah, yeah, just my, you're no looking.
No, no, you're, I've got, Tasha, Tash is with me now.
We're with Moses, Atama.
Tasha, I'm not sure, I know that you want to do it.
You, you do.
I do an interview.
Because I've done, I've done so many interviews with Moses.
It's like, it's looking at me.
Every time he sees me, he hides from my mic.
I've just chewed his ear off for the whole, for the whole,
for the whole Fiore fight.
There's not a more I can say to them.
Chewyer.
There are other people that were chewing my hair.
Moses, that was the 12 rounds, I think he needed 12.
Nice to get him out in one or two,
but that 12 rounds, I think he needed that
if he was going into a big fight later in the year.
Yeah, I mean, it was necessary,
but if I'll be honest, I wasn't really watching the fight.
I came out for the crack.
I'm like, you know what I mean?
I don't really leave my house nowadays, so we're coming out here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I don't know.
You're putting cameras in my face on a little bit of microphone
doing interview.
I might stay back in my house.
You're making me feel guilty now.
He seemed to sort of get closer and find his rhythm a little bit more
as the rounds went on, because that's a long break for a big lad.
No, of course, but even like Jordan was saying,
or my S&C coach was saying that it's mad that, like, you know,
a normal fight, they might have some time out,
and they come back, they might do a six, a cheekily, an eight or something,
but he's coming back straight into 12 round.
after with someone that's just come off a good victory against Dave Ireland
so like man it's tough when you're double every rate champion in the world didn't it
you're under pressure there's no there's nowhere to hide when you're when you've been that high
profile yeah I mean I think you get you get rewarded very well
so the big boys that's the luxury of the big boys yeah you get rewarded very well so
is it worth the interviews is it worth the interviews yeah
It must be big.
I mean, well, I'm not saying what me, I'm talking about if I'm on the level of Tyson and AJ and all of them, like, yeah, sure.
How long before you're on that level?
How long is a piece of string?
I don't know.
Like, when I get the opportunity?
Like, I don't know.
Like, I'm confident in my own ability, but, like, I just, I guess I got to need to go out and prove it.
Like, I always had, like, I had confidence.
And, like, I guess it was arrogance at first, but, like, yeah, slowly I'm trying to win some people over.
The one thing I wouldn't say about you is arrogance.
but where do you think you sit in the frame of the heavyweight picture world?
Where do you think Moses sits on the heavyweight frame?
So Moses is now interviewing Tasha.
I'm going to go over there and get a cigar.
I said on our little podcast that I think you are someone to be excited about
and to get excited about and we should all be behind you and support.
Not to build you up to knock you down when you get there,
but just keep on pushing because we need a future.
just are soon these boys are going to go.
And I know you don't like it,
but you ought to start in the mission.
And I say that with chest.
She's done me like a keeper.
There's no follow-up to that.
I know what I'm beating, son.
I know what I'm beating?
I mean, she can do it all, in it?
But now, I'm happy, but you know what the problem is?
You're not like in boxing.
You never really appreciated until your time's gone.
And even like now coming after, like, see me,
like, obviously I'm not on social media or none of that, yeah.
But like, when I do come on and when I do something,
I always see it's like,
ah, Mozart, man, he needs to get clipped.
Or Moses Tamer, we need to see how he...
What happens when?
Yeah, and like, I've turned pro literally three years ago.
I've knocked out Mario Swack, knocked out Dempsey McKean,
knocked out Dillian White and Jermaine Franklin.
Like, give me...
At 21, and I've only been professional in three years.
Like, give me some time.
I'm going to get to everyone.
You get what I mean?
I'm going to get, like, like, fight by fight.
Obviously, literally just spoke to Frank Warren.
two minutes ago, a tasty fight is just like, do I mean?
So just give me time, man.
Just give me time.
Slowly, I'll prove something.
And if not, then, I'm sorry.
I'm just not enough.
I don't think you're ever going to have to say,
sorry, that's not enough, if you don't mind me, Saddam.
Yeah, no, sorry, yeah.
Sorry, not sorry, yeah.
Tash, should we leave him?
Yeah, because we've really, we haven't ruined this night,
but we've interrupted his night.
Moses, thanks very much, son.
Thank you, thank you.
So I wasn't expecting Tash to get Moses at time.
I'm delighted we got him.
And as you said, don't you think he was blushing
when we were praising him at the end?
He was genuinely blushing.
When you were saying to him,
you're the face of the future, he was blushing.
Yeah, I think he's just one of them kids, isn't he?
Very humble and he really, really doesn't like the media attention.
He just wants to get in the ring box
and live the simple life and get out and be able to walk the shop.
He says that people are now just randomly knocking on his door
because he knows where he lives.
So he's asking an estate.
and where is the best place to live?
And he lives in the gate to the community now?
Do you know, I did this thing with him about a week after.
Three days after the fight, four days after the fight.
And he went, you know what?
I really want to do this day.
I want to get back in camp.
I said, well, that's great.
You know, you need.
He said, no, no, I said, I have peace in camp because none of my friends want to go out.
So when I'm in camp, he said, you know, I'll read it.
I'm reading a book a week in camp.
I'm loving it.
I've got all my books all sorted out.
Then he started to go through the books he's got for his next camp.
And he had the thing.
So they said, I go for a walk at 9.30.
for an hour. And he's looking to me in the eye
there's no punchline. That's his life.
So, Tash, listen, let's try
and make sense
of the, not just the fight, the overall,
you've seen Tyson in there and you've heard about what
the exchanges was, and we've heard Frank
Warren saying, look, the fight will get made.
We've heard Spencer Brown say
categorically the fight
will get made.
Just try and sort of sum up what
we've seen tonight and what we might see going
forward. In terms
of the Fiori, you know, like he's
said he's back and he was back with a good performance
a strong performance against a really tough opponent
who not many people would have chose
which is what Moses said straight away Moses said straight away
you've chosen he's picked a hard man he's picked
and we could tell you know he took he was eating uppercut
like they were you know hash browns for breakfast
he was you know he stood there and he had Tyson I wouldn't
I don't say through the kitchen st. Karen, because he didn't have to.
He'd be just measured.
It was smart measures.
You use measured.
I'm using smart.
You're so right, the same thing, yeah.
Yeah, no, I thought he showed his IQ.
And in bits and part, he let him maybe smother him a little bit, didn't keep the distance.
But the guy does wrestle bears.
I mean, that isn't me generalizing the Russian.
That's one of his training tactics, is he does that thing with a giant bear.
So he was prepared.
Tyson was the bear.
A big bear, he must have been daddy bear.
And let's throw to the AJ thing.
I'm glad Tyson said there in that interview that we did with him,
that, you know, it's up to AJ.
Even if he decides not to fight, it's still up to AJ.
Derek Chazora has just arrived down there with loads and loads of burgers.
They were saying he's behind the pizzas.
I was going to say he's by the pig.
Okay, we need to bring this back and be a bit sensible.
So it's good at what was Tyson was saying about AJ.
You know, it's up to AJ.
If he wants to fight on after what happened at the end of December last year,
great, if he doesn't, great.
What's your gut feeling?
I mean, everyone seems to say it will definitely happen.
Do you think it would definitely happen?
Because a week ago, I still wasn't sure.
This week, I've maybe seen a few things
and heard a few things that tells me.
Perhaps A.J. will fight again, and perhaps it will happen.
Listen, we all live in hope.
Tyson and A.J.
I've not alluded to the fact that it's been going on for 10 years.
So this is something that everybody's been waiting for,
And even if it is past its time, everybody still wants it.
So I hope it does happen, but I do also think that it's cursed.
Their company's success helped build a nation.
The company is such a big part of Korea's economy.

This is Five Live Boxing.
So, Tash, let's leave the heavyweights over there.
We've done Moses.
We've done Spencer Brown.
He's a heavyweight.
We've done Frank Warren.
He's the heavyweight.
And we've done size of view.
He is the heavyweight.
But there were a few other fights on the bill,
including a couple of heavyweights.
But before we talk about Richard React Paul
and the British heavyweight
tired of fight and even Fraser Clark.
The
Connor Ben fight
Regis Prograde.
Talk all week that it was going to be
all over, Ben was going to walk through him, Regis
Prograve was carrying injuries.
I think that was a hard
10 round workout, even though he would have won
it virtually shut out, but he had to compete.
Every round was competitive
and he was still getting caught and
I honestly
as I'm sitting there watching it
I don't care what people say.
He was definitely not himself progress.
There was definitely something wrong with his feet, his legs, his knees, whatever it was.
They go stiff.
Did you see the cattle fight?
Were you?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, his legs go stiff before his shot.
Like, they're literally stiff.
I don't know.
I couldn't work out whether it was his front foot or his knee or his back leg because
he was dragging it.
There was a hundred of a stem.
I thought it was his two calves.
They looked like he was seizing up.
There was definitely something because he was in himself.
But Ben went in there and did what he did.
It was a shutout, I think.
Yeah, it was a shutout, yeah.
At least on some of the judges' scorecard.
So he did what he needed to do against a quality operator
because it wasn't that long ago that...
Regis was being touted as a great fighter.
Exactly, and he's fighting Josh Taylor, but undisputed.
Which was one of the best fights I've seen nobody's short.
Let me ask you this, Tash.
It's about pressure.
Have you ever taken a fight, had a fight, amateur or pro,
where you've had loads of outside pressure.
There's something's gone wrong, maybe there's a problem with your family,
maybe there's something else.
But the fight isn't your main problem for that week
or the two weeks before the fight.
It's some other stuff, and it plays on your mind.
Because Conner's been under a lot of pressure since February of 20th
when he announced he was leaving matchroom
and going over to Zuffer boxing and day in a while.
And it's been fairly ugly in the press.
And you can try and cut it away.
You can try and ignore it, come off social media,
but it's still going to be there
because you know what's being said.
Have you ever had anything, obviously not like that,
but anything even that's been on your mind in a fight,
and how distracting can it be?
Listen, there's always something.
Bingo.
But, you know, how intense that is.
I do think...
You can't match that intensity.
You can't match that intensity and the way that it is.
And I'm pleased about that.
But yeah, we're only human.
Like people think that we are these super, you know, human, inhuman people that walk around and we don't have feelings and we don't, you know, have bad days and we don't have mental stresses and we don't, you know, go home to family.
That happens.
Don't have boilers that break down.
Exactly.
Don't have daughters that have got ill so they can't do the ballet class.
And giving me lip, yeah, yeah.
So, you know.
You know what I'm saying.
That happens and you have to try and do your best to switch it off,
but sometimes the noise is that loud that it carries with you.
And I think...
And I sensed that tonight.
I don't know about you.
I sensed a bit of that with Ben tonight.
And I was with him early in a week
and I have a bit of a test when I'm talking to people in a big fight week.
It's when I'm talking to them if they can look at me
and if I've got their attention.
And Connor was really distracted.
Tyson was standing in attention.
McMudov standing of attention.
his progress standard of attention, Richard Reactport standard of attention,
Connor was all over the place.
Yeah, I think it is tough.
And not only that, but he also says things in the media buildup
and in, you know, to the media that also adds weight to and add stress.
That definitely happened this week when he was talking about,
well, you know, Eddie's still my best friend and I want to be friends of him after.
It was all to be taking.
Let's leave the Conner Ben.
He came back.
No, beat Regis program on points, 10 rounds.
It was as good as a shutout, if not a full-on shutout.
The British everyweight title was up for grab.
Jamie TKV, who beat Fraser Clark in a Slug Festival.
Slugfest last November.
Defendantly start for the first time against Richard React,
former Cruiserweight, who, of course, moved up,
losing the Cruise World Championship fight of CBS.
Richard React, I'm not sure if you saw this fight,
because I know that you've been floating around
with Fraser Clark and Mikey earlier.
I thought,
not putting words about it.
I thought it was impressive
from Richard React for
because I think Jamie
TKV's a good fighter.
Yeah, he's better
than he gets credit for.
Bingo.
But yeah,
it was a good performance, I thought.
The stoppage...
It looks premature,
but it's what it comes after.
And we always talk about
sometimes it's stopped too late
and people get damaged
and people get hit.
So now the referees are a bit more inclined
to stop it before it gets
of that and I think the stoppage was probably fair.
He didn't complain, did he Jamie TKV?
I don't think he did. No, I didn't think he did, no.
But it definitely stopped something bigger coming because he just looked very comfortable in there.
He's a strange old cat react, Paul. I'm a big fan of his, and he's really calm, and people
talk about the power, and he's got the belief, and he's got, yeah, he's got, he's a great
addition to the everywhere thing.
Actually, Tash, let me stop you there, because I did actually, I'd forgotten it's been that sort of
I did actually go down and speak to Richard Reactpaw.
I had to do it because earlier this week I did a piece with Reactpore
where he talked to me about how good looking he is
and how he needs to stay good looking.
And it became a bit sensational on the BBC.
So when I went down and spoke to him,
and I started off by asking him what it felt like
to be called Richard Reactpour,
the new British heavyweight champion.
It sounds amazing and it's part of my legacy.
I'm just so happy that I can add that to my legacy so far.
So two-time British heavyweight champion, two-time British champion,
heavyweight and cruiser way.
When it went down in the fifth, I could see an excitement in your eyes.
Did you have to pull yourself back just a little bit?
Just calm yourself a little bit.
Yeah, because to be honest, I forgot that it was fine for a time.
I literally forgot because I was just thinking,
like obviously I was trying to execute information
that I was given from my coach in my corner.
And I just wanted to get, I was just so focused on that
that I completely forgot about what we're fighting for.
I was like, like, I need to do this right next round, next round.
And I just knew if I get it right, I'll take him out.
And then, like, you know, one thing, I land and he's on the floor.
I was talking to some people when you were in your medical there
for two or three minutes after the fight,
every boxer goes in a medical room.
And I was talking to a couple of boxes, a couple of people then.
And they said, it's something.
They said the Richard Riakpo will be a handful for any heavyweight.
And these were seasoned men.
I think it's true.
Yeah, 100%.
Like, you have to bear in mind, I've had experience.
Like, I've fought for a well-tire cruise waiter.
I know how I feel to lose, you know, pain.
And I understand what this requires.
And I'll tell you this.
One thing that a lot of these fighters can't beat me with is discipline.
I'm focused and I'm disciplined.
And you can ask my coach about it.
I'm professional.
And that alone just puts me ahead of a lot of these guys.
And I see them, I see them, and I just know I can do more.
You know, I'm better than them.
Like, I really genuinely believe that I'm better than these guys.
guys, I just need the opportunity.
And that just shows you, you know,
TKV is not a chump.
That guy's a solid, durable guy.
Everybody was saying the same thing.
But if I can take him out, I'm five, you know,
and he's never been put down before either.
It just shows you what I'm bringing.
So that was Richard Reactpoor talking to me a bit earlier.
Now, Tash, you were involved, actually, with Fraser Clark.
He lost the day to Justice Hooney.
Nothing in it.
One judge gave it a draw.
The other judge gave it two.
and there was nothing in it.
Yep.
But his Fraser switched
from his trainers to Joe Gallagher.
He still only had about 12 fights,
big phrase.
I thought it was the best,
even though he lost tonight,
I thought it was the best
I've seen Fraser Clark Box
as a professional.
I'm glad you said that
and not me because everyone will think,
oh, she's just,
it's because he's a team.
I really thought that.
But genuinely,
I was more gutted for him
because of how far along the journey he's come
and I'm sitting next to his girlfriend
the mother of his children
and she's saying
I love this team
I love the way he's boxing in this team
and how much he's improved
and he just looks different
and he was calm
and he loves it
which is the main thing
because when you've got
the expectation of the
you know being in Olympian
and you're supposed to do all these
great major things
you know you've got a medal
and we want you to go on
and push on and do this
and you're kind of like fast-tracked
and he was fast-tracked
and like it hasn't
worked out the way he's planned.
Now, the Wardley defeats
don't look too bad since Wardley's gone
on and beat him. Absolutely.
I mean, the first Wardley defeat, you've done the same mistake we all make
was a draw.
Yeah.
But we all come, no, no.
Everyone calls it a Wardley.
And it was such a good fight.
And there was nothing in it.
And I was at that Sunday afternoon, ridiculous fire.
Listen, that's been an absolute pleasure and a delight
talking to you.
Always.
We came, there were 60,000 people.
The fight was a great 12 rounds for Ties and Fury.
Maybe not the greatest spectacle that we've ever witnessed,
but there was stuff in it that was important for Tyson,
and there were signs of the signs of the old Tyson in it,
which I quite like.
The AJ thing at ringside,
that's going to rumble on and rumble on.
We'll see how that goes.
The rest of it, well, Conor Ben got a win.
Maybe didn't look as sharp as normal, but hey-ho, he got the win.
Tash, it's been a pleasure and a delight.
So that was it. Tyson Fury is back.
The Gypsy King is back, as he said.
He's won, and he'll fight Anthony Joshua later this year,
or he won't fight Anthony Joshua.
If Anthony Joshua doesn't decide not to fight, Tyson Fee will fight again.
And as for being popular, where there were 60,000 people here and it was cold.
And you know what? They love him. They really do.
I've been Steve Bunce. She was Tasha Jonas. And this has been five live boxing.
