I got to tell you, being a homeowner, there's so many things you have to think about all
the time.
For example, I have to replace my hoses every single year because they're weak.
They get tangled and there's kinks.
then I found the pocket hose ballistic.
This is the upgrade I've been looking for for a long time, man.
It's reinforced with a liquid crystal polymer used in bulletproof vest.
You know what that means?
No kinks.
It's not going to get tangled.
It also comes with this pocket pivot, which gives you total freedom of movement.
And the spigot has like a 360 degree rotation, which is pretty cool.
There's also this upgraded UV coating.
They add it for free.
So your hose basically looks brand new all the time.
Right now, when you get the new pocket hose ballistic, you'll get a free.

This is Five Live Boxing.
After 91 seconds of the sixth round and after landing the first meaningful punch of the fight,
Anthony Joshua beat Jake
Paul. But those statistics don't really tell the story of a truly ridiculous, absolutely outrageous
fight that took place. We knew it was a mismatch and it was a mismatch. I'm Steve Bunce and
this is Five Live Boxing. So the final punch landed about five minutes to midnight and then
there was a lot of confusion, then there were a few interviews in the ring and then we had to run
outside and chase and get through a crowd and cross over several roads and go underneath the tramway
and find ourselves on a corner opposite a restaurant called Cevici that's closed and the reason why we
went on that caper on that on that scarper after the fight was to of course track down pull him
alanaragi i got hold of him last night in an italian social club about 30 miles north south rava or
north rather of miami beach and this time we're underneath a flyway and down to
San Miami. I've been with Pauli now for about four minutes on this corner, and all he's done
is shake his head. Paulie. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I can't believe what I just watched.
Did I just watch two guys get paid combined at, at least over $100 million was spent on
this fight by Netflix, right? That I just watched two guys get paid about at least $100 million,
enough money that could, you know what that could do for boxing if Netflix invested that
into boxing instead of into this farce? Yeah. And I honestly, I don't want, I don't want to, I don't want to
give people a wrong idea. I don't have a... You were positive yesterday. You had positivity
yesterday, Paul. I don't have a... I'm not even faulting AJ. AJ is going to be what he is.
His feet are slow and cumbersome. Even at his best, he was a world-class heavyweight with not the
biggest, not the fastest feet, because he's six-five and muscle-bound. Not the most mobile,
not, not, so when I watched and I saw the first two rounds and this guy just ran for his
life. He never ever engaged at all. He just tore a desperate punch it would run around. He threw six
punches in six rounds. He never tried to win the fight. He never tried to fight the fight.
And this was exactly what I was fearing.
And the more, and I told you, the longer it lasts,
the more it's going to devolve into a farce.
And it's not because of AJ.
AJ tried.
As a matter of fact, then I got to sit down and listen to all the idiots in the crowd
who all know it all saying, oh, this is a work.
It's not a work.
You can tell from the beginning, AJ was doing very hard punches.
But he just couldn't find the guy.
The guy was like a roadrunner.
Remember the roadrunner cartoon?
This guy was like a roadrunner.
So let me just tell people what happened.
In the first round, AJ stalked him and Jake Paul used every inch of that.
22-foot ring. It's not an legal ring, it's a big ring. Same thing in the second round.
And then as Paul said, I can't believe he went to the third round. And then the same thing in the third
round, same thing in the fourth round, same thing in the fifth round. In the fifth, AJ did start
to get to him because at that point, at that point, Jake Paul was absolutely exhausted, nervous
energy. It's not like he'd been hit with that many shots, and it's not like he'd hit AJ have any
shots. Maybe he'd been hit 10 times, and AJ had been hit three or four times. By the end of
the fifth, he was crumpling quite easily, and AJ came down once on top of him, a little bit of a
break then. In the sixth round he got half cool.
And the final shot, just to shut up all the people sitting next to you and sitting
next to me was a great right hand. Yeah, it was.
Which I think clearly broke which Jake pulled's jaw.
I knew the fight was over when he got that hit with that right here.
I said, okay, now he's hitting him clean.
But it was the first clean shot, the first clean shot.
Because Jake finally was exhausted from running for his life.
He just ran for life.
I was saying, I was just talking about it.
I said, if he would have fought hard for three minutes, he probably wouldn't have even
lasted three minutes and he would have got more respect.
What did you accomplish if you had Jake Paul?
You still got knocked out,
and you just made a fool of yourself
in front of all the boxing community.
The boxing community would have expected
you to get knocked out anyway.
If you would have fought, you would have had it.
It would have been like tearing a band-aid.
It would have been quicker.
You would have got knocked out quicker.
But you would have went out in a blazer glory.
Like, oh my goodness, he's a YouTuber,
but he fought the ex-heavyweight champion.
Let's the limit gold medals.
And what we expected to happen to happen anyway.
Instead, we expect to happen anyway.
It just took longer,
and it was more agonizing to watch
because this guy never tried to fight.
What did you do?
He never tried to fight.
We'll hear from Jake Paul a bit later on
because he was interviewed and doing by Ariel Hohani
live on Netflix.
And Jake Paul was delighted with his performance.
He was absolutely happy with what he'd done
because he said, I enjoyed it in there,
I got the six rounds,
and now I'm here, now I can move on
and I think my jaw's broken.
AJ wasn't as happy, understandably.
He felt like he maybe should have done more.
He could have got a bit closer.
He could have, you know, you could have finished it earlier.
AJ was a bit frustrated.
I don't think AJ has anything to be frustrated about it.
AJ tried to engage from the beginning.
Even in the beginning, if you're one of those people that doesn't understand
and you think early on, AJ was letting him survive.
AJ was throwing hurtful punches.
He just wasn't getting as many off because this guy was so fast all over the ring in the beginning
because he was full energy.
So AJ couldn't get off the punches.
But any time AJ did throw a punch, even in the first couple rounds,
the couple of times he threw a hook or a right hand, it was mean intentions.
So AJ wanted to get to him.
He didn't want this farce to devolve any longer than it needed to.
But this guy was for his life.
There was one point I'm thinking about the fourth round when Jay,
ball goes down for about the fifth time holding on to AJ,
not all or not that.
And AJ wax him to the body four or five times
illegally in a normal fight.
He would have lost a point for that.
He was getting increasingly frustrated, Paulie.
Because you know why he was getting frustrated?
Because this guy, every time they were close,
he would clench and then he would fall on the floor.
And then he would get a break.
And the ref, and the clock, the timekeeper,
if you know the timekeeper, they weren't stop on the clock
until the very end.
No.
So he was wasting time.
He was literally creating clenches and then throwing himself on the floor.
Sometimes he would even trip AJ and they both fall on the floor.
And the time people wouldn't stop the clock.
And the time...
And it would give him a break.
It would clean the gloves, everything,
and the clock would keep going.
Everything, it was all survival tactics.
The entire thing was survival tactics.
And Netflix spends this kind of money.
You know what you could do for boxing?
You spend this kind of money in boxing?
Paulie, I knew you might be like this.
I knew I might find you fired up,
and I'm delighted I have,
because it needs to be said,
and it needs to be said by proper people.
You're absolutely right.
Jake Paul in there,
if the plan was to wear Ajax,
to wear AJ out, fine.
But after three rounds, he'd warn himself out.
Then it was absolutely 100% unadulterated survival.
Let me ask you this, Paulie.
Did the 22-foot ring, which is legal, as I said before,
was that a factor tonight?
I think it was a factor.
I didn't think it would be, but I think it was.
I think it was a factor.
As a matter of fact, I do a gambling podcast with my buddy Tommy Raynone.
It's called Tommy and Polly's Big Fight Forecast.
And earlier in the week, we talked about this is not going to last long.
But then we found out the size of the ring.
We actually did an added five-minute segment
because we said, hey, this could give Jake a few more rounds.
This big ring could give Jake a few more rounds.
And it did.
Because I had a bad feeling.
I was hoping I was wrong because I wanted to give him the respect
that he would just go out into Blaze the Bloody.
I had a bad feeling that he was going to run all over the ring like this.
And sure enough, it was even worse than I anticipated.
It was even because he never tried at all.
No, you know what, Paulie.
We'll pause it there, you and I.
And Ariel Hawani did get out of the tournament in the ring.
Here's Ariel One with first Anthony Joshua and then Jake Paul.
What you won't get from Jake Paul is when he says,
I think I've broken my joy, leads forward,
and he gobs out the darkest blood.
It's when it's crimson, when you have a mouth injury.
It's not like red.
It comes out a different color.
Anyway, here they are, the two of them,
minutes after the fight, about 10 past midnight, I guess.
Anthony, congratulations on the win.
How would you describe that fight?
Look, it wasn't the best performance.
It wasn't the best.
The end goal was to get Jake Paul pin him down and hurt him.
That has been the request leading up, and that was on my mind.
It took a bit longer than expected,
but the right-hand family found a destination.
Now, Jay Paul, he's done really well tonight.
I want to give him his props.
He got up time and time again.
It was difficult in there for him
But he kept on trying to find a way
It takes a real man
To do that anyone who lays up his gloves
We always say we give them their respect
We have to give Jacob's respect for trying
And trying and trying and trying
Well done
But he came up against the real fire tonight
That's had a 15 month layoff
We shook off the cobwebs
And I can't wait to roll into 2026
And if Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is
And he wants to put down his Twitter fingers
and put on some gloves and come and fight
one of the realest fires out there that will take on Eddie Challenge
step in the ring with me next
if you're a real bad boy
don't do without talking
AJ this
AJ that
let's see you in the ring and talk with your fists
Is that good for you?
That is good but I have more questions
and we'll get to what's next in a moment
I do want to ask are you disappointed
you didn't put him away earlier
Well I see Eddie
Say get him now
get him now. But as I said, I need to give this guy a systematic breakdown. I know what type
of fire he is and I said I'm going to take his soul and I said I'm going to see it leaving his
body round after round and when the time comes some people are just there to get knocked out.
And I said it and that's exactly what happened. See fighting is not just about the physicality.
I know you see someone that looks like a Greek godstander in front you right now but I understand
the psychology of fighting as well and I understood what Jake was going through and I just took my time
As I said, 15 months out of ring
and I've got the job done
within the time limit of eight rounds.
Did he hurt you at any point?
It looked like he connected a couple times at least.
Did he hurt you and were you surprised by that?
I refused to get hurt.
I refuse to acknowledge getting hurt.
I refuse to be beat.
This is boxing.
I'm going to get hit.
And when I get hit, I'm going to counterpunch.
Every time he hit me, I stood there
and I tried to hit him straight back.
There was no hurt in me.
It's just what we do.
In basketball, they score points, the other team score points.
In boxing, I hit them, they hit me.
At the end of the day, there's going to be one winner, and it was me tonight.
Thank God.
But as I said, Jake, well done.
Well, well done.
And Netflix, thank you very much.
I'm MVP.
You were very calm.
You were very calm going into this fight, but you did say you were doing this for boxing.
Do you feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders?
Because had you slipped on a banana peel, it would have been bad for your legacy?
I don't care about the legacy.
All the legacy is there
to do is just last for about 50 years
or so and then once it's done, it's done.
I'm just doing what I enjoy to do.
This is what I decided to do
while some of my friends decided to do
a little bit of hustling.
Some of my friends decided to go down
the college route.
I decided to go down the school of boxing.
This is what I do.
I'm going to do it until I can't know more.
And whatever happens on this journey,
all we can do is give our best.
And that's what I'm going to keep doing until I can't throw another punch.
Amen. Let me bring in Jake Paul. Jake, congratulations on a valiant effort.
You succeeded way more than a lot of people had predicted going into this fight.
Could I just ask simply, how are you feeling after that knockout?
Yeah, I'm feeling good. That was fun. I love this sport. I gave him my all.
I had a blast. And thank you to all the fans and everyone.
I'm just blessed by God to be able to put on performances like this and big shows with Netflix.
Thank you to all my fans and everyone at home. Anthony is a great fighter.
I got my ass meet, but that's what this sport's about.
I'm going to come back and keep on winning.
I see the smile on your face.
You appear to be in good spirits.
Usually when people lose a fight of this stature, they're upset.
Why aren't you disappointed right now?
Man, I've already won in every single way in life.
My family, my beautiful fiancé, Utah.
This sport has helped me so much in my life.
I think my jaw is broken, by the way, so, yeah.
It's definitely broke.
But, man, that was good.
nice little ass woman from one of the best to ever do it.
Are you surprised you win six rounds with the former two-time Unified Heavyweight Champion?
Honestly, I'm not surprised.
I just got tired, to be honest.
It was just so much handling his weight.
I think if I could have had better cardio, I think I could have kept it up and kept on fighting.
But he did amazing.
He hits really hard.
And I just did my personal best.
Lastly, I'd be remiss if I don't ask you, do you want to keep going?
Do you want to keep fighting?
Oh yeah, for sure. We're gonna heal the broken jaw.
Come back and fight people my weight.
Go for the Cruiserweight World title.
Who do you want next? Anyone come to mind right now?
Man, I'm gonna take a little break.
I've been going hard for six years, so I'm gonna take some time off.
But thank you to all the fans.
Thank you to Netflix.
This is amazing.
I love Miami.
I love America.
They're the greatest country in the world.
So thank you for all the support.
Much love.
Thank you very much, Jake.
And congratulations to you.
Jake Paul happy with what he's done, believes that he can go on now whether he drops down
the cruise away and win a world title.
And AJ, very frustrated, but talking thankfully about Tyson Fury, the time for the talking
has stopped.
Let's deal a little bit with realistically what Jake Paul can do from here and then we'll
do AJ and then we'll do Tyson Fury.
Then we might hear from any of her.
There's no way Jake ever gets respect again in the boxing community and I'm telling you
this, this reminds me of when Jamel Chalo for Canello and after the fight he thought
because he went the distance he was going to get credit and he gave a post-fighting
interview when he was in total denial thinking that everybody was thinking like him and then it
wasn't until he got out of the ring and he read what everybody was saying that he realized he made
a fool of himself yeah this is what jake just did jake thinks because he may have broken his jaw that
people are going to give him credit like oh he fought and he broke his jaw when in reality he just made
a fool of himself running all over the ring and nobody's given him any credit except maybe his YouTube
groupies you know so so he's actually accomplished he's regressed in terms of the credibility he may have
gotten from the boxing community he's regressed in my eyes as well because like I said you may not even
have broken your junecuh think about it bunsey all this and you broke your jaw anyway yeah maybe
If you fight for three minutes hard, you may get knocked out and not break anything.
And you get way more credit.
Who knows?
So are you giving him in the first couple of rounds or the first round, certainly,
maybe in the first two, the benefit of the doubt?
No, no, I was.
I know body language, Buncie.
I've been doing this boxing stuff way too long.
Yeah, of course, yeah.
I know boxing, I know body language.
It wasn't the kind of movement where he was looking to set anything up or even being tricky.
It was pure survival.
It was pure survival.
100% survival.
He was even blading off so he gave him a lot of,
a target and then he would just charge in like an NFL football player when Jay Jay
got too close.
And AJ was a little bit like, you know, hirky jerky, not relax, yeah, yeah.
Because he couldn't track him down.
All this guy, you know, when it's, you know how it is, when you're just trying to
survive, it's harder to catch you.
Yeah, yeah.
Because when you're trying to juke and punch back, it's easier to catch you because a piece
of you was focusing on attack.
You're committing that sometimes.
When there's no commitment, you know, that's how journeyman fight.
But then he fought worse than a journeyman because the journeyman, they know how to fight.
Jake doesn't know how to fight.
It was just literally just running like a truck.
You know, people will get bad press off some fighters.
Oh, he made it attract me.
This guy made it to track me.
This is a legitimate tracking.
Were you surprised?
I know you've already probably given me your answer earlier on.
Were you surprised that AJ couldn't do something with his feet?
Couldn't maybe show him a feint.
Couldn't maybe trap him.
The only criticism you could give AJ is he doesn't know how to cut off the ring.
You know, and a former two-time unified heavyweight champion.
And the Olympic God medal.
Should probably know how to cut off the ring a little bit better.
But other than that, I mean, you know AJ's feet weren't going to be the quickest fee.
and who was actually going to think
I'm going to have to chase this guy
because he's going to be completely survival mode
even if you thought he was going to survive
you would think he would at least have some self-pride,
a backbone to fight and engage every once in a while
he never engaged
by the time AJ caught him
it wasn't because Jake engaged
it was because Jake was exhausted
and so AJ got to him
so it wasn't like oh okay
he eventually did engage
like a member like Billy Con with Joe Lewis
for example you know with that story
when he's in front and he comes and has to fight yeah
No, this guy engaged when he's dead tired, and he didn't engage.
He just, AJ was able to catch up to him.
I mean, talking about body language, I sense from AJ,
absolute relief once he caught him cling.
Because I think that was the first cling shot of the fight.
AJ had clipped him five or six times.
Because I think Jake Paul probably went down from a little clip four or five times,
to a thing, or three were ruled as knockdowns.
But he went down about eight or nine times.
He doesn't have to hit you that hard for you to feel it.
So I think Jake started going down when he was tired and starting to feel even the partial shots.
Because he was sick.
I saw an interview.
with Alka and Barack earlier today.
And he made a great point.
He goes, this is an Olympic gold medalist.
I remember when I fought AJ, his jab was very heavy.
I mean, his jab, as soon as he starts landing that jab,
Jake is not going to want to go anywhere.
You know, he's not going to want to be in the ring.
And when I saw the way Jake was flying,
Anthony Joshua couldn't even catch him with a jab at first
because it was literally just running all over the place,
no engagement.
So by the time, AJ started landing even partially,
Jake started going down right away.
Couldn't Jake get some respect for coming up with a good tactic
that he just didn't use properly,
i.
not getting hit by constant moving.
What if he'd have flicked out,
what if?
He'd afflicted out five jabs around
and tried six right hands
instead of one.
No, because then you would have
you would have him understanding.
No, not only that,
even if he would have walked through a shot,
if you would have tried that,
he would have been more respectful.
But now you're giving him
too much of a high IQ of boxing.
He doesn't have that enough kind of IQ
to be able to do that and pull that off.
He just, he's very,
I said this from the start.
The big ring, he's going to try to survive
because he's not,
he doesn't have the box.
Acumen to use a big ring in a way where he's still trying to win the fight.
There are boxers who know that I use the ring, like Sugar Ray Leonard,
who know how to use a big ring, but they know how to use it in a way where they
still know how to try to win the fight.
And then there are guys who are just going to survive.
Because they've got pedigree.
Yeah.
But when you don't have enough pedigree, you don't have enough experience.
If you want a big ring, you're just looking to survive.
You're just looking to run for your life because you're either all in or all out.
You don't have the acumen to be that in between where you're going to move and still
trying to win.
You know, it's going to be really interesting, Paulie, because, you know, I'm sorry to me of you
and I'm agreeing with you, and obviously, you know, I know you know your staff.
I wonder how it's going to play out the next two or three days with regards to Jake.
Are we going to get an unbelievable sea of honesty saying, okay, you went six rounds,
Sean, you've got your jaw broken and your jaws wide up and you can't spar for six weeks,
but you ran just to survive not to win.
I wonder how many people are going to be as honest as you are, Paulie.
I wonder.
I wonder.
Honestly, nothing would surprise me anymore, Buncie.
But like I said, he didn't get caught because he finally decided to engage.
He finally got caught and got his jaw broke because he was.
He was exhausted from running for his life, and he still wasn't engaging.
He just was so tired that AJ got to him.
He never, ever tried to fight the entire time.
This was about to go a eight round distance, I was worried,
and it was just going to be him running for his life.
I could not believe what I was watching.
Just to say, sometimes when we do these post-fight pods,
sometimes we sit down for half an hour or an hour with Barry Jones,
and we might sit there, we might get some tea if we're in Saudi Arabia.
This one is the expression would be in the old days when you had records.
This is hot off the press.
This is not, you know, Pauli's not had a walk around and had a workout in a gym and some herbal tea.
And, you know, we're both of us still hyper.
We're still full of adrenaline from the fight.
So let's now talk about what, AJ, he was a bit upset at first and he started to smile, but he went straight to fury.
He said, the time for the talking has stopped.
Let's get that fight on.
After what you saw tonight, does AJ need another fight, another fight, another fight?
Did you say anything for me today tonight to worry you?
I mean, listen, he's not in his prime anymore, but neither neither again.
there is Fury.
Absolutely.
And you can't really gauge it on this fight because Fury's going to fight.
Fury's going to use the ring, sure.
And I'm sure Fury sees that AJ does have trouble with movement.
And I'm sure Fury's going to try some movement.
But Fury also knows how to move and try to win the fight,
as opposed to move and just try to survive.
And of course, yeah, AJ's going to have to work on it.
He's going to have to work on cutting off the ring a little bit better, you know?
Because Fury knows how to move and fight while Jake Paul just moving and surviving.
Do you think that AJ will get some criticism?
Just like we're saying there, we're not sure if Jake Paul will.
Do you think Fury will get criticism?
Does he deserve it?
AJ, if A.J.
Sorry, not Fury.
Sorry, Pauli.
Do you think that AJ deserves the criticism or will it be uncalled for?
I think you'd be ignorant.
It would be uncalled for just because, again, you got to know what AJ is.
You know, the only small criticism I have is he's not cutting off the ring very well.
But he tried to get him out right away.
He was almost shocked at the way Jake Paul was running
because even he didn't expect him to survive that much.
I mean, early on, he was like, this guy really,
running for his life like this.
Like, it was like, you can see
in AJ's body language,
it was almost like, okay, what do I do here?
This guy's really running, like legitimately.
And he was, and he did actually in the end
break him down slowly.
Enough jabs did pulverize him,
enough jabs did tenderize him,
and he did trap him enough
and cuff him around the head.
As I said, it was the first clear shot.
So he did, he did in fear he worked.
And he never lost his call.
No.
He never charged in.
He did miss of a lot of punches,
but he never charged in, Paulie.
No, he never charged in.
I think in the end,
it was going to be where, you know, Jake was just running too fast, too hard.
And then, you know, a sprinter eventually is going to fade out in a longer distance.
And that's what ended up happening.
Yeah.
So, obviously, AJ changed his training situation.
He hasn't fought for 15 or so months.
He's with the Ussick squadron, you know, several of the Ussic people in his corner.
Going forward to fights next year and Fury in Fury in September.
Will he have looked at that as a good experience or forget his pocket?
Will he have looked at that as a good experience or a negative?
What's your gut feeling, Paul?
Or was it just, I mean, could it just be literally like having a bad day or a good day in the gym?
Yeah, I just think it's just a neutral experience.
I don't really think you judge it.
I just think it's just a neutral experience.
You're working on some things.
You know, they offer you a lot of money for this, so you do it.
But I don't think it has anything to do with what he's working on.
Because you really didn't get to work on anything you're working on.
You had a guy who didn't fight.
So what can you really work on?
You're never going to see a guy like this again.
Nobody's ever going to fight you in a way.
Nobody that you're mentioned to fight.
Yeah.
Because AJ's mentioned always in big fights.
Nobody that you mentioned being mentioned.
You could have had someone like any second fight, but never now.
No, never now.
Yeah, you'll never ever fight a guy who will totally disengage the fight.
You'll never fight a guy like this again.
So there wasn't anything to really take from this fight,
except that you just took a pay day, mid-camp,
and he's going to go back to game and keep working on some things.
And there are definitely things to work on,
but I don't think you would have seen them in this fight.
Except maybe the cutting off the ring.
Maybe that's it.
So basically looking at it there, you didn't say,
oh, you know, I can see the influence of Ousek.
I can see the influence of the Eastern European.
No, no, I'm with you.
I'm just wondering, you were obviously a lot closer than me.
You know, you were ringside.
We were a bit of it further back.
So maybe you saw something I didn't see.
I saw a man that remained calm when it was clear
he was getting increasingly angry with his opponent
and then finally get into him.
And luckily, thankfully landing a proper punch.
to drop him heavily to end the fight.
Yeah, AJ's a mature guy.
He's a serious guy.
He doesn't want to be a part of a farce like this.
And the longer it was going,
the more of a farce was going to become.
So AJ, I think, kind of knew that,
and that's maybe why he got frustrated.
So, Pauli, I know I've got to let you go,
and we're going to go back and try and get into the press conference.
It's a bit ugly and a bit of a melee back there.
So we've had 20 minutes here to slightly calm down.
Who was the winner?
Who were the winners and who were the losers tonight?
I mean, the winners are probably
both guys who made a lot of money.
But the losers is also going to be Jake Paul
because he'll never be respected in boxing again.
I mean, this was his chance,
and I think he made the wrong choice.
I think, and boxing fans, of course,
for having to deal with this kind of farce
that keeps happening.
You know, this is the kind of thing where,
again, I feel like AJ, the easier choice is to do this.
I mean, the easier choice is to,
is to fight him hard in the first round.
It's actually more difficult to make this choice,
but you're lying to yourself.
It's like Teddy Alice always says,
sometimes making the easier choices is to fight,
because if you quit, you'll always be criticized forever,
and you'll never live that down.
And that's what happens here.
Jake Paul made the difficult choice,
thinking it was the easy choice,
and now he's going to have to live
with never, ever getting the respect from boxing again.
Because anybody who gives them the respect in boxing again
in any way after this is a,
is a spineless coward who was just taking,
he was looking for credentials,
who was looking for credentials and money, okay?
Because there's nothing you can take after this.
You know, you were waiting for this.
Everybody was waiting.
He's finally going to fight a real fighter.
Everybody's going to fight a real boxer.
Okay, and I was thinking, okay,
when he finally does, he's probably lose,
but you know what, if he fights like a man,
if he fights with some backbone,
he'll get the respect of a man.
Instead he did this.
And that was our whole thing
that when you and I were talking in a social...
Listen, Pauli, it's been a pleasure.
You and I, we've sat together in Italian restaurants
in New York,
We've sat together in Italian restaurants in London.
We've been on tubes, we've been in taxes, we've been ringside.
We've stood up and did some controversial commentary once, do you remember, at the O2 where we didn't commentate.
We talked, that got panned bahejo.
We gave it a try, because that's what we do, Paulie.
We give it a try.
We tracked you down seconds before you were going north to your home.
We got you just in time under this flyover.
It was noisy, it was passionate.
It was everything I expect when I'm dealing with Pauli Mananeraner, because it is a pleasure,
and it's all mine and it's all yours.
Thank you, Paulie.
Thanks, Monty.

So Paul is gone. He's driven off.
Now, he was fired up, Paul Imalan Argy.
I don't mind that because it's the type of fight
that is going to get people's adrenaline pumping.
And it's also going to divide people.
Let's get that right.
So he's gone off to his.
gone. Paddy and I made our way back to the arena and we had to enter via one of the sort of
kitchens. Now if you've seen goodfellas, we were like goodfellas except for the chefs weren't as
accommodating and laughing and we weren't sitting down on a table with champagne on it watching a lounge
singer. We managed to blag our way back into the conference. It's about 1.35 and it was
chaos because it was outdoors and some of the public were allowed to be here. Anyway, I did manage to speak to
Eddie Hearn. Now, let's get this right. It's been a draining night and it's been a draining week.
Here I am with Eddie Hearn on the stage at the end of the press conference.
Five rounds and 91 seconds, one clean punch and a broken jaw. I think it's a good night's work.
Some people don't. Yeah, I mean, look, you're always going to get negative. I think AJ was a little bit sloppy in the first couple of rounds.
By the way, he's been out for 16 months and Jake Ball was moving around.
By the well, I thought Jake Paul done well. I think he had a good game plan.
And he didn't just run and hold. He let his hands go a couple of times.
And that shot that knocked him out, broke his jaw, but would have knocked out clean most heavy.
Were you shocked you got up?
I was actually.
But by the way, even when he went down, it wasn't like he was, I mean, you know, but he's a tough, isn't, he's a tough kid.
You have to give him respect.
So I was actually pleased in the end that we got some rounds.
Yeah, I mean, you were going to get people saying, oh, he was sloppy in the first couple of rounds, maybe.
But when you got someone, he wasn't just moving, he was running.
And people say you got to cut off the ring.
Did the ring extra, it's not extra?
It doesn't help, but it's not, we knew what it was.
It's not like, you know, so.
And Ed, let's just write straight forward.
It's very late at night.
You've been, you've had a really busy, you've had a busy 10 days.
I didn't even want to ask where you've been.
One minute we're having tea in Monaco, next thing you're one, you're somewhere,
then somewhere else and somewhere else and somewhere else.
Ed, Tyson Fury, is it simply we're negotiating now?
We're a quite a decent stage.
Is that fair comment?
A very deep stage with his excellency, Turkey, out of shake.
That's the fight we want.
We are kind of scheduled to fight in February.
he's got a couple of small niggles.
There's a chance we could make it.
I've got to speak to the team and the doctors.
Probably March might be a little bit better for us,
but he's ready to go.
He wants to get back in a gym as soon as possible,
and we want to lock in those fights with Tyson Fury.
And that Tyson Fury, in theory, could be September or October, roughly, yeah.
And is it a UK fight, Ed?
One for Turkey-Elecheon.
Wherever he chooses for that fight to happen,
we're ready, and we'll be looking to lock that in over the next couple of weeks.
And luckily, Ed, you can just go and put your feet up now for a few days.
For a few days?
and before we had to rid of it.
No, but I'm all right.
I'm okay.
I'm back to London tomorrow.
What's how you flying?
Five o'clock, something like that.
Yeah, good, good.
And then get back, and then a few days,
wrapping Christmas presents,
and then Christmas just comes slightly earlier,
as in maybe the 24th or the earlier.
You're not going to be at Christmas, I am.
I am at home at Christmas, but I'm also on a plane at some point
because we're out to read for the 28th of December
for the show.
So we've got to get that locked in.
We're servicing all those events now.
So we've got that.
Then we've got, obviously, Shakur Stevenson against Tiafema.
Daughton Smith goes January to 10.
By the way, we've got Garner tomorrow.
18,000, sell it.
Wow.
You know what?
I'll say this every year, but what a year it's been?
It's been staggering.
Thanks for you.
Thanks for you all this year.
You've been brilliant.
Thanks, Eddie.
So it's obvious there that it's all about Tyson Fury.
We are advanced.
We guess we were advanced, possibly more advanced than we've been since June of 20.
Now, I also caught up with not for very long because he was in a great big rush.
Nekisha Baderin because I wanted to really get a gauge of, well, how Jake Paul is.
Jake is obviously not thrilled that he lost.
He has a broken jaw, but he's Jake Paul and he's amazing.
And what did you think of this performance?
I thought it was unbelievable.
I thought a guy who your country, the people of your land were saying is a novice
and doesn't deserve to be in there with Anthony Joshua,
hung in there for six rounds
and actually won at least two rounds.
He seemed happy at the end, bizarrely.
You're smiling now.
I don't think he was happy.
I think he was, you know,
disappointed, but taking it with as much pride as possible.
Listen, once again, yellow boy, it's been a pleasure.
Thank you.
Thank you for being here.
And we also hear that Jake Paul drove himself to hospital
with his suspected broken jaw.
I think it will be broken,
maybe not massively broken,
but there's certainly a fracture there.
It's been a massive week here in Miami.
We've had some unbelievable guests on the podcast.
We've gone into some really dark corners.
We've been stuck in traffic.
We've walked on beaches.
We've talked to world champions.
We've had opinions.
And we've finished up with a really bizarre and odd fight.
It's a fight that's going to divide people.
There'll be lots of people think it was an absolute stinker.
Lots of people will think Jake Paul was disgraceful.
Lots of people that will believe that Anthony Joshua was awful.
I'm not sure Anthony Joshua was awful. Eddie He admitted he was a little bit.
Yeah, well, you know, he's had a big break. He had to find his feet.
And as for Jake Paul, there were moments there when he showed immense bravery.
It's a fight and a sport, let's get it right, that divides people.
That's what happens.
And as I said to Eddie a few minutes ago, it seems like hours ago.
What a year it's been.
I've been Steve Bunce, and this has been a very special,
