Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the chart topic show topic, best podcast in the world. We're just kidding, just get it. Happy, happy Tuesday, you gorgeous people, have you missed us this past week. Thanks again for all the messages, shares and ratings. we bloody love you I feel like we are building a right little community don't you, Zuzzle. Yeah, we're all friends here and we hope you found last week's
Starting point is 00:00:36 episode with Amelia as intriguing and as shocking as as us. Whoa, what were your thoughts? I just gasped the whole time. Zoe literally was like sinking into the sofa, the more. I just couldn't even get any words out. I was just looking at it and like, wow.
Starting point is 00:00:53 It was pretty, pretty intriguing. So tell me what have you been up to, what's been a lot on your plate? Well, firstly a lot on my plate, right now I'm kind of obsessed with curries. Right, I wasn't expecting that. Why not? You really wasn't.
Starting point is 00:01:11 What type of curry? I would say, like a masala. Chicken to take a masala. Right. But not from the Indians, just made. At home? Yeah. So that's what's been on my plate.
Starting point is 00:01:21 I've had quite a few recently, actually. And what have I been up to? It was my birthday. Yes. How will we again? Twenty-six. Twenty-six. The day has come.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Mm-hmm. And I was really busy. I had a family night in the flat. So that was one cake. In fact, that day at work, I had one cake as well. So we're at two cakes at this point. Then, on Saturday I had a night out with all my friends. We went into the parlor in the West End.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Got very drunk. It was out until five in the morning. Oh, my gosh. So out of character for me now. Remember, y'all thought I was boring because of the three words I got described as? I had them in my mind and I thought fuck you's off
Starting point is 00:01:59 so I stayed out I love that I also met a really nice fan that night yes yeah they came up and said they loved the pod and then I think I told them
Starting point is 00:02:11 all her plans for the next 10 pod she spilled all the beans great nothing to secret thank you so this is much coming so is always famous now
Starting point is 00:02:19 yeah I'm famous now and what else I do with my birthday I went to the cinema the night after very hungover to see bullet train. Oh yeah, I went to see it too, didn't tie yet.
Starting point is 00:02:30 I really enjoyed that. Richard nearly walked out of the cinema. He was like, what? Because he thought it was so bad. It just was like, this is just so fucked up. But I do quite like an easy watch, kind of funny. Like you're not really needing much and especially because we were very fragile.
Starting point is 00:02:44 It was just perfect. It was quite funny, actually. I did enjoy it. After about the 20 minutes in, I was like, you know what? This is very different to anything I've seen before. It was strange. It was strange.
Starting point is 00:02:55 to Riverhouse, I think it's called. It's a restaurant in Sterling that's kind of on like this little small pond. It's really nice. So I think in total, just going back to the cakes, I had four cakes. Whole big cakes. Yep, four birthday cakes.
Starting point is 00:03:09 I got one at work, one from Jason, family night. My mum makes me a cake every year, obviously, as you know. We need to talk about this a bit more, please. Yeah. My mum makes me and all my siblings a birthday cake every single year. And they are simply iconic. Born.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Yeah. I won't let her stop. Like, she wants to stop. because she actually doesn't love baking. No. She just used to do it when you were kids because she thought it was like a nice thing. Yeah, but they're no ordinary cake though.
Starting point is 00:03:32 No. I think what we should do is when this episode goes out, we'll put up pictures throughout the years of what Sue's has done for you. I've got like pictures of the ones from when I was a baby as well. She's got physical pictures of them so I'll get them all together to take pictures of them all and we'll post about them. And this year was what? It was one of my trainers.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Yeah, the green and white one? Green and white one. But when I saw it, I was like, how did you know our trainers? like that and I was all being like so naive like that is so like a pair of trainers I've got oh my god like doing all that and then Jason was like I obviously took a picture and sent it to her oh right I was like all right if you don't know what I was why they don't think of it that is they were really really good yeah it was really good and it tastes amazing as well like it doesn't just look good
Starting point is 00:04:12 I always say she should start up a wee side hustle but she's like they're not perfect enough and I'm like I know but you could do them like a cheaper version yeah like wonky banks so yeah I had that cake and then I got a cake when I was away at the weekend from her friends as well wow so I'm 40 stone heavier but happy so it's okay so that was my birthday plans yeah busy busy what have you been up to so I feel like I've been non-stop actually so I went on the career a 450 trip I won't go too much into it because I did post everything on my Instagram it's on a highlight you can have a little look it was around the east and west coast of Scotland I stayed in six of the seven hotels from the group most of them had a spa it was gorgeous but in each area
Starting point is 00:04:52 So it was like open, N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-A-I-N-N-N-N-I-N-I-N. I would probably say N-A-N-N. Yeah, but obviously I sound like a twat saying that, Neon. But there is something that I also really want to just point out. So this is such an awkward conversation, but when I was in Nairn and... We're getting ready because we're going out in Inverness, an amazing, amazing city, by the way, I fucking loved it. I just can't get on board with that. No. It was brilliant. I'm not a snob like you, so I absolutely. loved it. I'm not a snob either, but it's just the last place I'll think to go for a night night out is Inverness. It was great. So anyway, as we're getting ready, my friend was talking
Starting point is 00:05:30 about a family friend of hers who sadly had passed away. And she was talking to another friend of mine basically saying like, and at the funeral they read out, a poiet. I collapsed laughing. I couldn't breathe. A poohum. No, no, no, no. I say it, a poym. And she was, did I say that? A poohm. It's a poet. Well, I'm a poet. And I was like, what the fuck did you just say? And she was like, poya? I was like, are you making foreign? And I, but obviously in this situation it was the most sad story she was trying to say,
Starting point is 00:06:00 but I couldn't, could not contain my laughter. I then had to voice note, all my friends, like, you're never, I've lived here for nearly seven years, I've never heard anybody say that word here. And I was like, surely you Scots don't say poem. Poem. But you're saying it like, P-O-I-U-M.
Starting point is 00:06:17 It's P-O-E-M. A poem. Poem. Poem. That takes a couple. extra breaths. It's quite hard. Gee, how do you say it? Poyong. No, you don't.
Starting point is 00:06:28 No, you don't. And I asked another friend of mine, I said, I asked her how she pronounced it and she was like, poem. Is she English? No, I'm saying it in a Scottish accent. I say poem, but she goes, poem. And I was like, that is how I would imagine you would say it.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Poem. And I knew the friend went, well, she speaks, she speaks all posh. So I just, that is just going back to the English, Scottish phrases. That's one to add to the list because I was finished. Poem. Anyway, digressing slightly, but made me laugh. Wait, so I need to know this creator. Yeah. Is that a different route from the NC 500?
Starting point is 00:07:01 Yeah, so it's actually a hotel group that. So they've created their own 450-mile route. They're trying to arrive on it, I would imagine. And it just, you could all seven are, obviously, across the East and West Coast. So they've created like a route where you could go through all of them if you wished, or you could just stay in a couple of them. Right, okay. And it was great. Obviously, the parts that were out of the hotel, I did myself, like, I chose what to do. That obviously wasn't like a PR trip. It wasn't free. so I just thought I'd create like a seven day trip if you decided to do the whole route of things you could do there was lots of places I didn't manage to get around to do but yeah it was great really good and I did it in electric car do you remember when I said in the few episodes ago that I was renting one for the week and how was that? Do you know what I am a convert is that the right word? Yeah you're conversational I am and what what feels definite does it feel different? Uh absolutely not so obviously I already drive not obviously but I do drive an automatic car and I would say that the feel of it is similar and I would say that the feel of it is similar. but it's silent if you were stood on the outside of the car it's silent you know when you turn the engine on it doesn't feel like it's even on so it's not like chugging at the engine sort of feeling yeah it's not like that
Starting point is 00:08:02 i did think because i'm quite scatty that charging it every evening would be just a nightmare for me but it wasn't it was really simple you have an app called charge place scotland what i'd imagine there's obviously all different types of energy points but the one that i was using was charged place scotland and you can show you where all they are and every single hotel that i stayed and they had one at their bar one They had them at the hotel. So overnight I could charge it. That's good. And it would probably take,
Starting point is 00:08:25 there weren't like rapid chargers, but they would take about 10 hours. But you'd have a full tank. I think it was like 257 miles. Now, if you put things on like your heated seat or music, etc., that would go, you'd see it going down a little bit faster. Right, right. But it was really interesting because in Glasgow and in Stafford in England,
Starting point is 00:08:44 Arnold Clarke have an innovation centre, which opened this year and the one in Stafford opened in July. And basically it's not a salesman. pitch site anyone can actually go down there it's really interesting and you go down there and it's purely for education so i don't know if you know but obviously in a few years time everyone will need to sort of change to an electric or hybrid models i would imagine i don't know if i think it's like 2050 or something i don't know gee do you know when that is because there's obviously quite a lot of areas in glasgow that you can't drive through eventually unless you've got that type of model
Starting point is 00:09:12 car or you get charged or something or if you've got diesel i think now you can't go certain places with a diesel car but petrol's still okay right see I would actually I mean I don't know that I would go to this Innovation Centre but it is something that I don't know anything about and I'm probably quite ignorant to yeah because probably because you don't need to at the moment but eventually
Starting point is 00:09:30 you will be asking questions a few years down the line what car do I want but the Innovation Centre means you can go down there and you can actually drive 60 models including like a Tesla for example you can go down there for free test drive them all Aldi's BMWs whatever and they'll just educate you on how beneficial
Starting point is 00:09:47 it is to you, the environment, and they also tell you about the generous government tax and grants available if you're thinking of moving to an electric car. So it's definitely worth going online and booking in or just seeing if that's what you're thinking of for your next car. It's really interesting. Like I say, there's one in Stafford in England and Glasgow
Starting point is 00:10:03 and it's just off, just right near the hydro in Glasgow. Oh yeah, I thought that's where it would be. And the team are really nice. Yeah, because I just got a new car and have to be honest, not once did I consider getting an electric car? But you wouldn't though, I guess. And also there's things to consider But it is. People do speak about it now more than ever, so I don't know why that wouldn't have crossed my mind. But there is questions that I was asked when I was, obviously, because I was driving it.
Starting point is 00:10:23 I was sitting there thinking, there was one place where I went to a charging point and I couldn't get it in. I couldn't, that it was two cars there. And I thought, how are they going to do this in years of time when everybody needs to use a charging point? And my friend told me that they're now looking at putting stuff underneath the ground that when you sat at traffic lights, it automatically charges your car. You know, like when you put your phone on a charger, on a pad. it's like that under the floor and it will then charge it they're looking at things like that wow the future is coming
Starting point is 00:10:50 like it's crazy the future is coming obviously what are they things called again are solar panels yeah so maybe it's something quite I don't know I don't have a clue what I'm talking about but this is what I mean there's probably a lot of listeners that are like us that haven't got a clue about this and it's probably a good place to start
Starting point is 00:11:08 I have no idea about cars dumb blonde bitches we are I know okay moving on my head's about to blow up I don't know something like a car pod too Yeah Oh my gosh Boom boom
Starting point is 00:11:18 Squirt skirt Skirt scurred Yeah so swiftly moving on We just thought this episode Would just be a bit more of a catch About what we've been up to Because we haven't seen each other much Probably recently
Starting point is 00:11:27 We only see each other when we do this Now and they just don't speak anymore We talk all day every day So yeah we thought we've been Talk about what we've been up to So tell me about your trip To Ok Rani Or the upcoming one
Starting point is 00:11:39 To who? What did you just say Ock Rani? Ock Rani Oh right okay Is that what you meant or my upcoming trip? I want to know about both, please. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:47 I think I briefly touched on Okrani in the last one, but it was great. It's on the Isle of Aran and you get a ferry there. Which I don't remember the last time I was on a ferry. Like that, like to get to a Scotch Island. Yeah. I think I definitely have been when I was younger, but you drive on and you have to get out the car.
Starting point is 00:12:03 It was quite tight. When you're on it, was all the car alarms going off when it was driving, yeah. It was giving me, like, I don't know if this is appropriate. Titanic vibes. Like, there was a canteen and everyone was getting like their little bowl of stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:13 soup I didn't eat in the canteen. You had a canteen on the ferry? Yeah, a canteen. And they've got a canteen, a bar that's got like a lounge. Mm. But it is still, I mean, it's not the most modern-looking vehicle. But we went up to the canteen to get, like, a drink. And people were getting, like, a little bowl of homemade soup or, like, fish and chips.
Starting point is 00:12:29 But the way the tables were, like, laid out, it was just giving me kind of, like, Titanic war vibes. Right, okay. It was quite depressing to look at. But anyway, I enjoyed it, nonetheless. And I looked out at the water and stuff, I enjoyed it. and then we got there and we just spent most of the time in the little lodge that we had
Starting point is 00:12:46 yeah that looked lovely yeah it had a hot it had a wood fire hot tub so you had to heat it up yeah you get a bathtub butler they're called oh wow they sound nice it wasn't really what you'd pitch it was just like a little guy
Starting point is 00:13:00 with a van and they come and do it so we booked all that in and then it was to be ready for seven o'clock so we thought we'll have dinner and then we'll go in that with a glass of wine whatever now like it's scold you try to get into the same It was really hot.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Mm-hmm. We had to get the guy to come back down and put a cool pipe in it. Because in an ever went past and it was still like, Abby just kept dimmed her toe in and she was like, no, it's still too hot. And eventually she like got in or got herself in. And then we were, the rest of us were trying to get in. She was like, splashing us with the water to try and climatize us.
Starting point is 00:13:28 She was like, you need to climatize? You need it climatize. I would love that. I love hot baths. It was. Once you were in, it was good. But see, because you were then standing out in the cold trying to get into it, it was roasting hot.
Starting point is 00:13:38 But anyway, it was great. And we just made dinner both nights. I bet you made a curry right. Yeah, I had a curry. I didn't make it, obviously. I'm like, no right when I entered the kitchen. Abby made this dinner both night. I actually had the curry the first night,
Starting point is 00:13:51 and then we had a big bowl of pasta the next night. And like good sides, crisps and dip. Wine, burticate. It was stunning. And we went for a massage. How was that? It was good, right? But I like a relaxing massage.
Starting point is 00:14:04 And she was really going into the knots. This was like going into my knots. But I don't really have a sore back, so I was like, I don't need a sore back. I don't want one. So I still enjoyed it, but I think I would rather just the oil with a nice rub. Okay, I'm totally up as it? Not like interrogating me.
Starting point is 00:14:18 No, but I would like that, but more sure if I just went like round the road to a little beautician and got like a sports massage, I went on my weekend away want. Oh, okay. Like knuckles in my back. But maybe it's just because I'm not really used to it. But anyway, enjoyed that, went for a little swim in like the wee kind of like saw in the steam rooms. It was just very zen. Sounds good.
Starting point is 00:14:36 I mean, a few bottles of wine were also consumed. Yeah. But no hangovers in sight And then got an early ferry back To come and see you Yes, so you did So that was great And my upcoming trip
Starting point is 00:14:48 Is work and leisure combined No, you've got more than that What? So you've got cans That's what I'm about to talk about? Yeah, we already know about that But there's another one coming up Because what you got for your B day
Starting point is 00:15:00 Oh, right, okay So another trip coming up Is she's a way more than me at this one Yeah, actually I've got a really busy Kind of six weeks You know when you think about it too much and you could maybe just hide under the bed. Anyway, I'm going to Copenhagen, Copenhagen.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Brilliant place. Have you been there? Yes. Have you got a story highlight? Oh, no, I went on a Hindu. Yeah, I'm going there. Jason got me that as part of my birthday, so I'm going to start in November. So I'm feeling it would be quite nice, like, get your cozies on.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Yes. Kind of vibes. And we've got you a nice new scarf for your birthday, which you can wrap up in it. Yeah, so I'll have that wrap around my neck. So yeah, I'm going there to start in November, and I'm not really planned anything yet, but I will make an itinerary. I'm very like you. terms of that. Send that we Copenhagen. Yes, please. I'd love that because I like
Starting point is 00:15:43 planning out my days and I like to know exactly where I'm eating and everything. Yeah. I don't mind a little random breakfast stop but I like to know where I'm going for my dinner. They do really good breakfast there. Yeah. And I've actually seen, I've been looking at a few people like on Instagram that I've seen there recently and like screenshot and some stuff and the food looks really good. I have heard it's pricey, pricey though. Oh really? I can't remember it was years ago when I went. Yeah, apparently it is but me and Jason don't drink much when we're together. I just have one the dinner show. That'll cut some cash.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Love. So that's what I'm up to busy, busy. You won't see me around. I'm very jealous. So this weekend I went out with some friends. It was brilliant. Took them out in Glasgow. We saw lots and lots and lots of lovely listeners.
Starting point is 00:16:23 It was great. We are famous. It was just honestly so nice. And just a little shout out to you all because you're all so lovely and it really do love it when you call up and say hello. So thank you. I actually do quite enjoy it, even though I actually do quite enjoy it, even though I. I'm number one most awkward person in the world but I think I'm getting used to the
Starting point is 00:16:39 used to the chat used to the vibes because because you said in two episodes ago you would never speak to a random you would never spark up conversations maybe there's quite a few people that have saw you that are too scared to say hello no it's not because I'm like rude or anything I just am quite shy and awkward
Starting point is 00:16:57 of people I don't know but if someone comes up and says something to me I'll respond in a normal manner unless people are going to start writing in that they saw me I was rude. No. I was a red bitch. I thought I never speak to her again. So, yeah, so I went out and saw lots of lovely listeners.
Starting point is 00:17:12 So thank you, thanks again. That was really sweet. I went to Barvini in South Side, gorgeous as always. No, I've been there. Really, really recommend it. And then I went to Sugo. We all love that. So, such, I think, the best restaurant idea.
Starting point is 00:17:29 No bookings, simple menu. Agree. Fresh pasta, quick service. Cheap. And just tastes great. A really nice, cool atmosphere as well. So we went there. I actually think it's one of the only places in Glasgow
Starting point is 00:17:41 when you're going on a night out that actually has an atmosphere whilst eating. Yeah. Do you know what I mean? It's really buzzing in there, isn't it? Yeah. So I really love that. And then went to the usual bars.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Really, really good. And yeah, then that was all up really and really been up to this weekend. I've kind of got a really busy few weeks ahead. Tomorrow I am doing a photo shoot with a company and then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, another three-day shoot. So I'm doing that. Then the following week after that is my birthday. So I just celebrate it for two weeks straight in October,
Starting point is 00:18:11 so don't know what I'll be up to. You're ageing quick, Jess, actually. I am. But I would say like a fine wine. Fine wine. I feel like that anyway. But I don't really go out that much in Glasgow, but I feel like I'm out again this weekend.
Starting point is 00:18:25 In Glasgow, I'm just, I'm young, youthful. You're only as old as you feel. Exactly. So, yeah. Age before your time. And I think tonight I'm going to have a nice pamper evening, Just get ready for the photo shoots this weekend or whatever it is. Have a nice hair mask on.
Starting point is 00:18:39 You know, just chill. Your hair looks really long, actually. Thanks. Well, I've basically been trying this new hair care range called Grow Gorgeous. Do you what I mean? Yeah. So I've been using that. They actually sent it me about...
Starting point is 00:18:51 Sent it to me. Sorry, sent it to me. So he does this about my English. She sent... They sent it to me about two weeks ago and I've been trying it out. And I actually am really loving it. I've seen it on Instagram loads. Yeah, have used the mask before?
Starting point is 00:19:04 It's really good. Yeah, and I feel like my hair is definitely getting a bit better, but I'll give you my true review in like a month or two, and obviously it is for me to potentially post on my Instagram if I like it. There is this scalp oil, right? And I thought, this is going to make my hair greasy, because I would have probably just put it in the ends of my hair, to be honest with you. Yeah, I would do that.
Starting point is 00:19:22 It's the most popular products, I think, of the range. And then I read the back, it was like, no, actually put 20 drops on your scalp, and I was like, Jesus Christ, and then massage it in. Because if you've seen on, like, TikTok and things, the secret to hair growth is actually from the root from the root and keep your scalp healthy and clean and whatever so I did it and it's hard to explain it's a serum but it's so thin it's not like an oil lip if that makes sense so like watered it yeah and my hair just feels really clean it's not at all what I'd imagine so yeah I've been using that and then it's like the I think it's the thickening shampoo conditioner and a mask and then a thickening spray so hopefully in two months time I'll have lovely I mean yeah yeah we're going to read out some listeners messages because we've had quite a few just come through from like previous episodes or just random love as we said from you all so we'll start with this really lovely one
Starting point is 00:20:14 hi Jess and Zoe I love your podcast and recipes I was hoping you could do a little shout out at the end of one of your podcasts on ways you both stay positive and things you do that make you happy you both have such a great attitude and outlook on life Jess I love your cup is always half full Zoe you're so wise and insightful love that that's really sweet wow struggling a little with mental health and a bit lonely at the moment, lacking in the friends and the love life department
Starting point is 00:20:38 because you could use some help and a boost. So how do you stay positive and happy, Jess, tell me. Tell the fans. You know what? I do feel like I have always been this way. But in recent years, I think it goes about saying as you get older, you started to give a lot less fucks about what people think about you
Starting point is 00:20:54 or about things such as just the way you may look compared to others, etc. And I do think that can get people quite down. And I just genuinely, genuinely feel like I am quite grateful for my friends, my family, my life. And I think every day, this is really hard for me to answer. How you're getting on with a journaling? Everyone is thinking about it. I am not writing out my journaling every day anymore. Well, shot.
Starting point is 00:21:19 But what I will say is, I just genuinely just try and wake up every day and just feel quite grateful for my life. And I do think there's nothing really to be sad about in a sense. You know, I'm happy, I'm healthy, I've got really good friends. and yeah I just think try and give a lot less shits about what people think about you and self-confidence is always a good boost as well look at the mirror and tell yourself
Starting point is 00:21:39 you're fucking gorgeous every day and I do do that don't even though I actually don't genuinely think I am but just do it does you a world of good you do have a great own confidence but not in a way that I'm like fucking else you loves herself and the way that I'm just like
Starting point is 00:21:55 it's just to build yourself up it's not you should think you are because you are but not that you actually do believe you are at all times. But I'm also like that back. I looked gorgeous last night. I'm like, no one else had nobody to say that about themselves, but I love it. I do do that. But I also, I'm like that, as we said before, to others.
Starting point is 00:22:12 And I do think, like, what you give out, you get back. And it's all like, I genuinely see the beauty in everything and everyone. And I just think it maybe just keeps me positive, keeps me in a happier mindset. Yeah. I don't know. Exercising does really good for me. Me too. And don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:22:28 I'm not going to sit here and think, say that. I'm the most positive human on earth. I'll sit there quite a lot. I spend a lot of time on my own. And every morning I wake up and I would love just to stay in bed. Sometimes I just can't be fucking ass with people or life. I just want to just shove the covers over my head
Starting point is 00:22:42 and watch a movie and just not speak to people. It gets like that, doesn't it? Yeah. I mean, I feel most happy, I think, when I've spent time with friends and family, but not just any time. Like, it's more like, what's the word, like quality time? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:55 So, like, for example, when I was away with my friends for that couple of days, we didn't really do anything bar sitting in that lodge. Yeah. Well, apart from like the odd walk and whatever but we were supposed to go to a restaurant for dinner we changed it to just making dinner again
Starting point is 00:23:07 because we just loved being in the lodge and just chatting like all night. We went really on our phones as much as we probably usually would be we had like a film on but just in the background and we spoke about like loads of funny stories from when we were like growing up together and we just see when you see each other a lot of the time it's like let's go out for dinner, let's for a night out
Starting point is 00:23:24 but you don't actually have a lot of time to just speak for hours and hours. Yeah. So, like, that makes me feel really content and happy. Like, we all kind of left the trip being, like, that was just so nice. Yeah, so wholesome. You know, that way you message after, like, thanks much for the best time. Oh, that's pretty sweet.
Starting point is 00:23:38 And then it always feel the same if I do, like, smaller things with Jason as well. Yeah. Like, more just like, like, yeah. Or you just, like, go for a walk, get, like, a drink or whatever. It's not, like, big excessive things. That's, like, planned date night. Yeah. Let's, like, all dressed up, go for, like, a steak and a wine.
Starting point is 00:23:53 Yeah. It's more just chilled vibes. Yeah. I do think it's really important as well. Like, I get a lot of my positive. and just general laughter from my friends or Richard. And I think it's really important to always stay in touch with your friends, always do organise meeting up with them,
Starting point is 00:24:07 even if it's a phone call or WhatsApp's voice notes, whatever. Gee, would obviously hate that. But yeah, I just think I've got a really good bunch of people around me and they do say in life that you do reflect the five closest people you are around. So make sure they are a good five people. Did you know that? No, I don't really know that factor actually,
Starting point is 00:24:26 but five people instantly came into my head so maybe I knew it subconsciously exactly but also this listener said she's not got the best group of friends I see okay so I think if they're not making you feel good then sack them off yeah but sometimes it's not as easy to do that though yeah but it doesn't need to be I'm never speaking to you again
Starting point is 00:24:43 it's just not looking to them for like your happiness or to them to make you feel positive you'll meet new people whether it's through work gym any hobbies you have and then you'll find better friends you're not going to be alone forever but maybe just have more of a positive outlook or at least try and act. Put yourself out there. Yeah, put yourself out there a bit more.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Yeah. And meet new people. Obviously, me and Zerwe are completely unqualified at anything. By the way, we're just giving you our personal experience. I think I could be a therapist. Maybe that's my new calling. Maybe. You maybe could. But more of like an unofficial.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Like, I could be one of them, like, you know, what's that calling? You just phone them up? Like 1-1-1. I'd be like, hello, what wise comments you need today? Ready? Yeah, but that's really. sweet. I really hope that you find some new friends and happiness definitely starts from
Starting point is 00:25:31 within, self-love, baby. I actually can't believe someone does find me positive and happy. I'm really turning corners, turning pages with this podcast. I think you are. Wow. This is in response to fetishes, I believe. I moved in with a girl I found on spare room. After a few weeks of living with her, I walked in on her
Starting point is 00:25:52 having sex in various different communal rooms in our flat with lots of different guys. I wonder, what, all at the same time or what? Tregor. Not one to judge, but not on the sofa, please God. Then guys started turning up to our flat with big bags of shopping. It turns out, this is amazing.
Starting point is 00:26:09 It turns out she was into being fed. So guys she met online would pay her to come around with loads of food and they would tie her up and feed her. Where do I sign? Safe to say I ended my lease early and booked off out of there when a guy came into my kitchen when I was just about to make a cup of tea and invited me to join in oh my lord
Starting point is 00:26:32 unless you're feeding me endless amounts of chris and dick I'm sorry that sounds like my perfect job role I'm quitting oh right next one no sorry you can't do things like that when you're not in your I mean quite odd
Starting point is 00:26:50 regardless right but you can't do that when you're not on your own space yes you were saying like communal rooms and things like imagine walking and just after a long day at work and then you've got... Sitting down on the couch, a cup of tea, right? You look to your left and there is a sexual juice stain on the couch.
Starting point is 00:27:05 And your mates handcuffed to the sofa being fed, flipping crisps and dip. By a random bloke. Just try to watch an episode of Friends. Okay, next. I'm listening to podcast number four. I particularly related to Zoe saying she hates taking her brow and I couldn't relate more. See? I ain't alone.
Starting point is 00:27:25 I ain't alone, girls. I feel horrendous when the girls are just floating about Same I found a lifesaver recently Premark are doing wee crop top bras And they're the comfest thing ever I wear it instead of a pajama top Or even just a normal top half the time
Starting point is 00:27:38 Think they're about four pounds And I wear them everywhere Not restrictive at all like bras And they keep my 34 e-bobs Well supported Premark is just great for that kind of stuff You know but what I will say is If you actually have a reasonably sized
Starting point is 00:27:52 Cup size then it's not good Because you don't get especially if you've got quite like small back size big cup size you don't really get that combination. I'm apparently a 34E but I don't think they are but I did get measured must be but going back to what you're just saying I wouldn't probably feel comfortable supportive enough
Starting point is 00:28:07 in those Primark no but I wear like what she's talking about is I think is what I wear which I can get from Premark and it's just like a cropped vest top essentially but it's like elasticated so it is supportive not as like strong as a sports brand but not as loose as just a vest top do you know what I mean so you could wear it under a t-shirt
Starting point is 00:28:24 Like I like to flatten for a t-shirt. Yeah, I used to love boob minimisers. Anything to make them feel smaller. I wish I could wrap myself up, you know, like in the old days. Like a mummy? Wrapped up and then to put like their corsets on. See if someone, I could tire someone to do that to me every morning. I would love that.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Oh, me too. So going back from our last week, two episodes ago, we asked you our dinner party guests. We spoke about ours and we put it on our Instagram, what guys, who you would have at your dinner party for guests. Couldn't be fictional. and they would have to tell you the truth whatever you asked them
Starting point is 00:28:56 and there was some brilliant response you know a lot of people did say the royals there was a lot a lot, a lot and Palinacini yeah that came up quite a lot I really like Palinacini but he's just not able to sit there
Starting point is 00:29:07 high as a kite not say a word let's be honest to you yeah but the best one has to be me and you someone wrote that in somebody wrote that in
Starting point is 00:29:16 I am touched I'm touched but we tell them everything on the pot every week anyway so my heart is warmed there's lots of Someone wrote Channing Tatum times four. Magic Mike, come at me.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Lots of Freddie Mercury, President Bush, Binnie Connolly, David Attenborough, that came up quite a lot. Oh yeah, I forget about him. Quite a few Jesus is, G. John Travolta, Judy Dench, Barack Obama, Elvis Presley. Do you know who would be a good one, by the way? Amy Winehouse.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Yeah, that didn't come up. No one said that. No. I think there's a lot you would want to ask her, like, why, how, like, where did it go so wrong? What actually happened? I mean, maybe that information's out there and I just don't know it, but she's quite iconic and, like, died young, obviously.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Also, another thing a lot of people have messaged in about was the urine infections conversation and recommend the de Manos supplements, which you can either get in a, like, tablet supplement form or a powder. Oh, that's fun. Which powder's better for people like me who can't see me grow up and take a tablet. But apparently that's really, really good
Starting point is 00:30:16 with help my cystitis. Yeah. Urine infections. Well, that's very useful information. So anyone out there that has a life of hell like me, try that out. Let us know how you go on. We also got a voice note from a lovely listener.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Shut your ears, G. But here we go. I shall play it out loud. I feel like I have to message in. Just listening to your podcast on my daily walk with the dog. I used to be a primary school teacher and one of my children a couple of years ago had a fear of crisps and crisp packets. So obviously on like a wet pay break and whatnot, she couldn't really get rid of them. or away from them in the classroom
Starting point is 00:30:55 so she would actively have to leave the class as to where there were crisp packets because she would start crying, she would hyperventilate like she had an absolute fear of crisp and crisp packets so it is a thing
Starting point is 00:31:11 I wonder where that actually stems from I just can't go over it but then right saying that even as a massive crisp lover I do understand the crumb thing I understand people having it on their fingers and like licking their fingers and a lot of them do stink but that's what I love about it do you think it's the noise of the packet and the crunching but then oh do you know what I do hate and this is a pure
Starting point is 00:31:36 dahing dad thing for anyone who didn't understand what I just said then dahing dahing when they like fold it all up flatten no flatten it down start folding it all up and then tighten it up what the packet just go and put it in the bin see in that time you've done that. Get on your feet and walk to the bed. That must just be a, I don't know if anyone else is like this as well, but you know if I am on a phone, my dad is the exact same and you've got a notepad in front of you, I doodle so much. I will make patterns, faces, shapes. My mom does that actually. And it's just maybe, but it's only for when I'm on the phone and I've got a pen in my hand and I am just, I'm creating art. And I'm like, what the hell? But maybe they're just
Starting point is 00:32:19 talking and then it's just a subconscious thing of making it as neat as possible. I walk about and I'm on the phone like I could not sit still if I was on the phone and he got on my feet and walk about. But I'm just walking around the circles that's no purpose. But you know but what I'm saying is if you're on like a team's call or you're listening
Starting point is 00:32:35 as a group. You can't do that and if it's something in your hand you'll fiddle with it. My mum does the doodling thing as well but it's the same thing she does every time. Like it's the same little you know like a big triangle then wee triangles in it or like a big circle I'm a bit similar to that. It's always the same pattern.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Another thing as well that I've noticed where I'm really productive, because as we know, we've mentioned before, that I struggle with being productive. But if I actually put my AirPods in and ring my mom or ring a friend or something, I will spring clean that house in 60 minutes. Yeah. But I won't procrastinate if I sit at home in my bed and think that I had to do it.
Starting point is 00:33:10 But if I just put my AirPods in, I'll do it, no problem. But it's the same as if you're listening to music or a podcast called A Lot Your Play. Yeah. You will get, like, your walk done without feeling like it took you 40 minutes or a run. Or whatever. It's so much easier because you're distracted. I find it mad, though, that people have messaging and saying that they actually listen to this podcast on a run. Could you do that?
Starting point is 00:33:28 Could you listen to a podcast on a run? I never have, right? But it is something I want to try because I've heard a lot of people say they didn't ever think... They could. They could on a run. And actually, it made the run feel so much quicker and easier because... Because your mind's totally off it. You're, like, in the conversation where to see with music for me,
Starting point is 00:33:44 I then I'm so aware that a song's just finished. show it's only been two minutes long. Like I've only ran for two minutes because only one song's been on. That's quite interesting. And I start subconsciously counting the amount of songs that have been on and I know exactly how long I've ran for. Well, a rough. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:59 So I think a podcast is totally different because you're just in the conversation with everyone. You're just chatting to your friends. But it's just more the beat of the music that kind of keeps me going. No, that throws me off. Because then I'm like, ooh, mm-mm. Or it goes slow and I'm like slow motion down the street. But no, I'm going to try the podcast.
Starting point is 00:34:17 thing and see if it helps see if it helps because I do really really focus on the time when I'm running that's what I think makes it difficult I think it's so mind over matter we're running or maybe it's matter over mind I don't know anyway moving on so we're just going to wrap it up there guys but we just wanted to say that if you enjoyed the podcast with Amelia we would be really interested to know what sort of guests you would like us to have on in the future or if you can be a guest yeah or if you can be a guest or you know do you specialize in something weird and wonderful or are you just a professional yeah but We're also really keen to know what you guys want to listen to as well.
Starting point is 00:34:49 So please let us know. We would love to hear from you. Yeah, we'll also pop a question box on the Instagram. Yes. So you can type a week. Yeah. And any links to anything that we've spoken about in the podcast, they will always be on our Instagram after the episode has come out every single Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:35:04 So we're going to wrap it up there. We hope you have a lovely little week and don't miss us too much. Thanks so much for listening and please keep sharing love. Love you loads. Bye. Thank you. I don't know.
