Starting point is 00:00:05 Happy Tuesday, welcome back to a lot on your plate podcast. Welcome back, bitches. I hope you enjoyed last week's episode. You all seem to love the filth and the juice. Excuse the pun. Who is loving the Scottish sunshine? 27 degrees today and we're stuck in this bloody studio. We've got aircon, nice and cool.
Starting point is 00:00:28 Yeah, the guys up next have introduced some aircon, so that's gorgeous. They said to use for two weeks of the year, which is Fairfox. it's nice and cool we actually said it's a little bit too nippy it's stuck in around the sun though is it not I hope so because I was in Norfolk two weeks ago and I was fuming
Starting point is 00:00:46 I wasn't fuming with the sun the sun was 30 degrees every single day maybe a little bit too hot yeah when you're not lying by a pool but it was consistently 27 to 30 degrees every day for like eight days straight where I was in Norfolk and Leicester
Starting point is 00:01:00 but back here it was raining the whole time and I thought I hate that for Scotland I know. It's such a shame. We're not that far away. I know it's bizarre. But it's just taking a few days to work its way, up the UK.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Up to the goods part. Exactly. And it still is the good part. I'm not changing my mind on that. Although for a second I was like, oh, it would be nice. Just live in this all the time. I think I forget being in Leicester, it was always gorgeous every summer. Is it really?
Starting point is 00:01:35 Yeah. You get a good summer there Yeah, I'd say so, yeah It's quite close to London really, isn't it? Yeah It's not guaranteed It's the midlands, but it's an hour train, 55 minute train
Starting point is 00:01:45 Yeah Interesting, right, what's on today's episode On today's episode We're going to have one big fat catch up Love it Like what we've been up to And we're going to talk through some of our Listeners DiLembers
Starting point is 00:01:57 We've had a few nice emails I'm ready And before we move on to the app We hope you all enjoyed our YouTube special last Friday with Lorna McNey. Lovely fun. Something about deaf, eh? Yes. So it is a YouTube exclusive.
Starting point is 00:02:14 It is a side dish, but we've made it available for everybody to watch. So you can watch it over on Patreon or you can watch it on YouTube. Gorgeous. So please check that out. Give us some feedback. So somebody wrote to us and I believe it was on Patreon and it was off the back of you talking about Grace Beverly. saying that she got all of her friends over on a Monday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Yeah. And she said that their group chat, life gets so busy. Some of them have got kids. Some of them have just moved away. And she felt like the group chat was just dwindling. They were losing contact with one another. It didn't have the spark anymore. So they all mutually agreed to give the group chat a little bit of a boost.
Starting point is 00:02:58 That every single Monday, they would all voice note about their weekends. and life updates, goss, talk about something that's going on, a little bit like a little mini podcast from every single person in the chat. It didn't put pressure on any of them having to contact or reply back straight away and it was just every single week. Obviously they'd still speak in between, but every single week without fail you had to do something called motivational Mondays and they would all send a motivational, uplifting, updating voice note to each other.
Starting point is 00:03:28 That's cute, I like that. I thought that was so sweet. That is nice. You know, it's no pressure on everyone replying instantly. But it's like, right, everyone, give us an update. What you went up to? Yeah, and there's not necessarily replies required all the time. No.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Unless you want to ask someone about something, but it's just kind of doesn't need you be a conversation. Here's what I was up to tell me about you, and that's it. Yeah. Pretty like that. So, I thought it was really cute, to be honest. Yeah, love that. Anyway, off you go.
Starting point is 00:03:57 I've got quite a lot to tell you today. Can't wait. Number one being I ticked off another. 30 before 30 I visited Ireland for the first time. Woohoo! I forgot about that. That feels like a lifetime ago. I was in Dublin. Thoughts?
Starting point is 00:04:12 Have we not? I've spoken since then or not? No? Definitely not. Definitely not. I went to Dublin. I loved it. Yeah? I think I went kind of expecting to not love it
Starting point is 00:04:26 because I know quite a few of you included or pals prefer Belfast. Yeah, but that doesn't mean I don't like Dublin. No, I know, but that's kind of... what I then realised at my head. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you know what I mean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:38 So loved Dublin, me and my mum went to see, take that. Mm-hmm. We only booked it the week before. It was gorgeous weather. We stayed in the Chancery Hotel, which was really nice. Just five-minute walk from, like, the Temple Bar. So kind of... Great location.
Starting point is 00:04:54 The busy bit. And the bit that everything really is, I guess. Yeah. Which was a lovely hotel. We got a wee upgrade, actually. But I've never said we've upgraded you. Wow. be deluxe room.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Is that because your mom puts something in the notes? My mom put stuff in the notes about like it's always first time visiting Dublin, Sir 30, blah, blah, blah. Free breakfast. That's so good. It was lovely. And actually what we didn't realize was there was a spa. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:22 At the bottom of the hotel was like a week in a hot tub, chakusie, saw in a steam room. Are you going to tell me that they were doing works on it and you couldn't go? No, we actually could go. I went. Oh my God. I went in there and I enjoyed it. Did you have a kossie with you? Had a cosy, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Perfect. Because it was a sweet at the top of the hotel and my mom was like to eat your kossi just in case we upgraded it to us so we did. And thank God we did because it was a spa. So that was a lovely experience. We'd recommend great location, really gorgeous hotel, like nice breakfast, a nice restaurant and bar that you could go to like before or after you've been out. We went after to take that.
Starting point is 00:05:58 So the first day we went down to the Temple Bar area. We went in an Irish pub just next to it. that the singer and stuff on we also went into the photo booth that's right next to the temple bar very cute it's like in a vintage shop oh yeah
Starting point is 00:06:11 really cute vibes went in there a wee pick we listened to a guy singing had some nachos and then we went a wee wander and then we went to a place called Sophie's for dinner the rooftop bar
Starting point is 00:06:22 before take that and that was Gorge yeah take that would be there amazing so good take that put on such a good show like I don't listen
Starting point is 00:06:31 during the week to take that They put on such a good show. And it was quite funny because they do their old songs, obviously, and they still do the dance. Yeah. But a few of people replied to my close friends being like, what the fuck is that?
Starting point is 00:06:44 And I was like, they know that they look ridiculous. They know that they're taking the piss of it. Like, that. Like that. Yeah. But it was so good. What a show. Big Elephant.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Because it's a circus show, isn't it? It was a circus tour again. Yeah. Which I hadn't seen before. Me, my mom, when we've seen them once before, it wasn't the circus. So that's kind of why we wanted to go. And honestly, you didn't know where to look. So something going on.
Starting point is 00:07:09 There was like trapeze. There was people jumping off of like a, what do you call that? Like a big bouncy ball? Trampoline. Eyo. Cesaw. E saw. Eio.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Eio. Like going off of that, doing flips, everything. There was people on tricycles. No. Unicycles. Yeah. What the fuck do you call these things? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Someone went from one side. the stadium to another on a tight rope. It was honestly really good. And then the big elephant that people have seen all over TikTok, there's someone lying upside down being the elephant's tail. Have you seen that? No.
Starting point is 00:07:45 So a girl's feet are on top of the elephant. She lies upside down, down like the back, basically over the bum of the elephant. And on her head she has the tail. Right. So she's upside down doing like sit-ups and swinging to be the tail. Like you could have just stuck the tail on.
Starting point is 00:08:01 I just don't know if the girl's required. What, did Lulu come out? No. She came out when I saw them in ours. Another woman came out who was really good. But anyway, we had a bloody great time. And we also passed a wee market walking on the first day, which I forget what it was called.
Starting point is 00:08:20 But I had a vintage shop in it, like reselling designer. Nice. And I got the perfect pair of shoes you've ever seen in your life. What are they? They're Louis Vuitton, slip-on heeled mules. Perfect. It was like Cinderella's slipper.
Starting point is 00:08:37 I don't have nice feet, as everyone knows. And we saw them and we went in for a look anyway. They'd like loads of Macs. Like it was really, really cool shop. It's called Loo's Loft, if anyone's going. And in the window, my mum pointed out was a wee black pair of just slip on mules. Like one wee strap across the front, really simple.
Starting point is 00:08:57 She was like, they're so nice. And I thought, they're my size. I can tell by looking at them. and we wandered around and eventually I asked to try them on and honestly I put my feet in it was like Cinderella glass shoe my feet looked gorgeous in them
Starting point is 00:09:09 and that's never happened in my whole entire life so you had to have them so I bought them good for you hen they're gorgeous and I actually so I actually changed something on my list
Starting point is 00:09:21 because I had buy meaningful piece of jewelry on it right so you put buy something vintage I put on it by buy something special or something like that because I know this is so deep but it was a nice wee special moment Yeah
Starting point is 00:09:35 Because I was with my mom and she was like You should try them And neither of us are massive spenders Like I do like good things But I'm not in the position that we're going And doing it all the time Do you know what I mean? My mom would never
Starting point is 00:09:45 So it was a wee like Oh my God I love them And I was like I love them too And then the girl who served Was an Irish girl And she was like I didn't want to be salesy But they looked fucking perfect in your feet But she didn't say that until I was
Starting point is 00:09:56 Bying them Because she didn't want to push me Yeah And I was like no I agree so I'll be wearing them on my 30th birthday I think Are they black? They're black So it was quite nice
Starting point is 00:10:06 So yeah I tick that off because I changed some Kind of cheating but kind of not I've decided I don't want to buy a watch Yeah I like this watch enough I don't want to buy a really expensive watch So I wouldn't want to tick that off You know what I mean
Starting point is 00:10:18 Anyway did that that that was gorgeous And then the next day I really wanted to go to jail Yep But tip for everyone that's going to Dublin In their life or the near future you have to book that months in advance. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:32 It's booked out for the next two months. Right. So I couldn't go. It's gutted. I set my alarm for nine though because they put any cancellations up in the morning between 9 and 9.15. But there was nothing. Apparently it's really good. So I will go back for that.
Starting point is 00:10:46 We flew as well, by the way. I don't know. You can get the ferry, can you? To Belfast. Can't get it to Dublin? Not that I know of now. Well, anyway, so we flew because that's only way you can get there. But maybe you can.
Starting point is 00:10:58 I've just, I don't know. I just assumed you can, but maybe you can't. Maybe. I just know our people going to Belfast in Fair. Maybe it is just Belfast. Get anything Guinness? Did you have a Guinness at any point? Soie.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Yeah, we didn't do anything. We didn't do the Guinness tour and I didn't have a Guinness either. Sacrilege. I shouldn't have I'm bothered about that. Not bothered with the Guinness to do. Have you ever tried Guinness? I think I've definitely had a sip not that long ago
Starting point is 00:11:32 because I said I don't know if I've ever tried the Guinness but I think that was on a night out so could I tell you what it was like no I couldn't I really enjoy Guinness especially a Guinness and Black or half a Guinness
Starting point is 00:11:44 so it's not it's not thick the top bit's quite foamy but the rest of it especially if we get an ice cold crisp one which you would do probably in Dublin which would be extortionate as well because
Starting point is 00:11:55 Temple Bar is about 13 fucking Euro's pint. That's crazy. I didn't actually go into it. We just looked at it from the outside. Oh, right. Because it was mobbed the whole time. And actually we were going to go out after take that and go to like a few of the pubs.
Starting point is 00:12:11 So cut up the nightlife. You know, mom's like party animal. But it honestly took us, we waited for 45 minutes outside the stadium for a taxi. Couldn't get one. And they walked to where we were staying for 45 minutes. But by this point we'd walked all day. We'd been up early.
Starting point is 00:12:26 We were at the concert. our legs in back were fucking aching. We're like, we're not walking. And eventually we did walk because we could not get a taxi. So we should have just walked in the first place and we would have still wanted to go out but at that point it was midnight.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Yeah. And my mum was like, let's just go to a pub and I thought, no. Like we've not drank the whole concert. I'm not like in the mood and I wanted to push myself but I just couldn't have it in me. I was in a bad mood.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Yeah. What's you doing you're doing, aren't you? I was annoyed. Yeah. Because we got out at the stadium so quickly and then we just had to wait for ages and it just pissed me off. off and I was like we should have just walked from the fucking
Starting point is 00:12:59 get-go, we'd have been there, we'd have been in a pub. And I also just thought, I'm not going into these Irish pubs that are like full of people. It's been really hot. They're all going to be pushed and we are sober, our legs and feet are agony. Like, I just, you won't get me in a good mood in that environment, you know what I mean? Yeah, totally.
Starting point is 00:13:15 They're all bashing off, he's steaming and all that. So that was kind of like my Dublin experience. The next day we just wandered around the shops area. It went into a really nice wee place called Bailey's. We sat outside April Caesar salad chips. Perfect girl dinner. And then we walked up to that cafe in sign. Which we were going to ever drinking but we thought,
Starting point is 00:13:39 you know what, we'll actually come back to Dublin one time and do that for lunch in the terrace because that's love. But that area is really nice. It's lovely, isn't it? Is it Dawson Street or something like that? Yeah, it's something like that. Dublin as a whole was a lot nicer. Than what you thought?
Starting point is 00:13:54 Than I thought it would be. Really? Dublin's like. like the main, it's the capital. So it's going to be like a mini little city. But I just, I think I just was expecting like rowdy Irish pub. You get that in Belfast. Right, okay, right.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Listen, somebody messaged me saying like, what did they say? Something like, if you didn't like, the thing they wrote it on our YouTube or something, if you didn't like Dublin, you didn't go to the right pubs. And it's like, I know I never said I didn't like it. I didn't expect to, I think I expected to find more small. Maybe pubs like that was in Donnie Goal. like more authentic Irish small pubs where everyone's playing good instruments. It's not really like that, but there is some really nice ones.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I think there's one called Darkie Kellys that I went to, which was really good. And they're a little bit further out. Yeah. Some of them are in the city centre, but the ones that are, a bit like Glasgow. You'd go to the West End, South Side, like you just probably need to know where you go. But then there's a city centre where like Dawson Street, whatever it's called is, that's a little bit more upmarket. Yeah, I just think I expected
Starting point is 00:14:58 No-up market Right, okay But that's me just going completely uneducated There's no reason for me to think that Apart if I just was expecting pure Irish vibes But I guess it's not really in Dublin Because it's more the city centre
Starting point is 00:15:10 Yeah, exactly So I actually really liked it I would go back Not a problem, I'll be there But I would like to go to Belfast as well Especially with Belfast It's the ease of the flight It's 25 minutes up and down
Starting point is 00:15:23 And you could go the day Two minutes. Yeah. Yeah, pretty easy. I'm loving all these short flights. And it's not, and Belfast isn't the Euro rose. So it's cheaper. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:15:34 A lot cheaper. I went back for making a finish and touch. She's on my teeth. Oh yeah? So I'm going to tell you exactly what I got done. Okay. Does you get an extra one? No, I ended up not getting an extra one.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Not needed. Okay. Not required. The mouth is full. Do it? So what have you had done? So over the course of my tooth journey, teeth journey,
Starting point is 00:16:01 I had emphyxilline. I'll tell you why, to widen my smile and connect my bite. Okay, so there you go, everyone. And then I had whitening. God help everyone that has to do that moving forward. And then I had composite finures on my top eight teeth. Wow.
Starting point is 00:16:20 So that's what I've had. I'll give you a smile. to ching Enter the sparkling sound So that's what I've had The perfect I actually went to my dentures yesterday Who knows Andrew well
Starting point is 00:16:33 And he said that's probably the best case Of teeth he's ever seen What mine specifically? Yep What the hell, really? Not like of Andrew's work Interesting No, they look great
Starting point is 00:16:46 I agree with that The before and after is really good I'll share it on screen but I just think they look really natural style and now that I'm used to them I talk normally which is a bonus Yeah because we were concerned for a minute anymore but that's because they were so sensitive
Starting point is 00:17:02 Yeah And you do need to get used to your bike Because basically you absolutely do You've got a whole different teeth in your mouth I know but they're not massively different in size as such No they're not But my I've got the first what would you say molars at each side
Starting point is 00:17:17 Done which means underneath them there's more in there's more in there for my bottom teeth to hit off of yeah what i mean yeah like the gap's not as much of a gap for the bottom teeth to like slot into now because my teeth go right over my bottom teeth like that's just way my bite is so now that i'm used to it i can speak normally and they look great i would recommend 10 out 10 experience you just walk around everyone now like that no one can't ever call you a crabby cunt now well there you go there's benefits to these things would recommend Andrew. I think he is one of the best in Glasgow.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Oh, without a doubt. Well, I think he's the best because I chose to go to him, but I've not obviously been anywhere else, but I would recommend him. As a cosmetic dentist, for 100%. He's in Philip Friel and Highland. Actually, where we're going after here? We're going to the Clarence. So he's breaking hair Clarence virginity. I know I've not been there. So, anyway, that's my teeth. I also went to the Barbie exhibition.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Saw that on your story? Exhibition. That's a hard word. Was it nice? It was quite nice. You didn't need to go to Kelvin Grove the first time because you went again. But it's only on the bottom floor. Yeah, it's underneath it.
Starting point is 00:18:30 So what I didn't realize is I thought they took over so all that stuff would go, which is smart because you'd want to keep that open, obviously. And it was nice, it was nostalgic. I bet. Was there any, what are they called? Cindy. Is it Cindy? What's the other doll that was like the rival of Barbie?
Starting point is 00:18:53 No nothing about her in there because it's Barbie only but Cindy rings a bell. Now who is it that everyone used to talk about and it was like you either had that or the other one? Sunday does ring a bell. Yeah. I don't know though. You're not thinking of Brats are you because that was after Barbies?
Starting point is 00:19:08 Yeah, Brats is too... You weren't involved for me. No. I can't go to the table. The end of it. But it was, it was enjoyable. It was a nice wee Sunday activity because me and my friends,
Starting point is 00:19:18 Lindsay Louise, went to Kelvin Grove Cafe. for brunch. Thoughts? Yeah it was nice. I actually got a breakfast. Like a full Scottish? Yeah which I never do but... They do it well don't they? Yeah but I've spoke about this. I'm really bad with eggs at the moment, I'm really bad with avocados at the moment I can't get back on it.
Starting point is 00:19:37 No I'm not, I've not. So everything else on the menu I was like... Right, got it. Think of it putting that down my throat. So I just got the breakfast, I get the mushrooms off, I get the tap tomatoes off and I get something else off and I just get something else off and I just an extra sausage and an extra tight scorn. Sounds perfect to be fair. With beans. I had a fried egg.
Starting point is 00:19:57 I don't know that touched it actually in reflection. But it was really enjoyable. Sounds it. No, I will go back. Do you know, I don't know if I've said this before in the podcast, but I was talking about it to the girls. Was breakfast, brunch as a meal, least favourite. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:17 But brunch as an activity. Love it. So it's quite difficult. Like I want to go there on just for all harsh browns. Yes. Do you know what? I kind of agree with you in that sense where, you know, if I'm going for brunch, there's a lot of things on the menu there that I would like to try.
Starting point is 00:20:33 So, of course, I would love the full Scottish. I'd also love the Asi-Bowl. I want the granola bowl. I'd like the smashed avocado with the feta. Yeah. But you always end up choosing something that you probably is a bit mid. It's like, I could make this at home. I know.
Starting point is 00:20:49 And for me, I love an as eyeball as well but once I'm done with the toppings I'm bored so I'm not leaving brunch full
Starting point is 00:20:55 I've not eaten enough for breakfast and lunch combined and then if I had pancakes or something I only really want a wee bit of that yeah because I want sweet and savoury
Starting point is 00:21:04 I know and then do I really want eggs Benny no I don't no so it's my least favourite that there's a menu
Starting point is 00:21:10 full of things but is there something that I'm desperate for on here not really do you know what I mean by that kudos does that
Starting point is 00:21:17 really well kudos Well, I would have a bowl of hash browns for there because of the rest of Glasgow in my opinion. They do that whole brunch menu very well. They do. I think it's just when you go sort of late morning you've not had anything.
Starting point is 00:21:30 You're a bit icky in the morning anyway. But now that you've not had breakfast, you're extra icky because you're starving. Yeah. So there's a weird internal feeling and all you actually should do is just get a bowl of pasta. Were you bricky?
Starting point is 00:21:45 No, it were brunch. It's 11, 12pm. I'd fucking do that every day. I would. So yeah, brunch is an activity I love as the food options I don't love. And a pastry, it's not enough. Agree. A pastry is like a coffee accessory.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Agree. Pasture's an accessory, yeah, looks cool, it's good for a pick. An old story. But we did that, went to the Barbary Exhibition, and then we sat in just one of the pubs. The one we passed the other day and we said that looked good. It's not the Clarence, but it's something like that. It begins by a sea in Finiston across the road. Oh, the Crescent.
Starting point is 00:22:18 The crescent. We sat outside there because it was sunny. Yeah, lovely. Anyway, the table's turned. We get back. We get the dogs looked after. We'd drop the cars and ended up my angels for a drink. Just one?
Starting point is 00:22:31 No, not one. About four appurals. Collectively as a three, all were going down south for work the next day, not one of us had packed. Love it. She really in her party girl era. No, I am. I actually am a party girl, either.
Starting point is 00:22:46 I'm also in my life is fun. Have fucking fun. You can pack in the morning. I feel like this is becoming a thing. Like, I've not just seen us talking about it. I think we started a few weeks going to podcast. Because we start, we start a few or we trends. We do.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Everybody's having spray tans now as well. They are. We started that again. I'm going to say it. We reminded people that life is for living and it's fun to actually have fun. 100%. And you know what? Because we've had this discussion and obviously Bartholona did get me on my
Starting point is 00:23:18 with this but I was sitting in angels I wasn't fucking bothered it I still hadn't to pack I was like I'll either do it push when I get home but you'll do it you always do well you have to yeah there's no choice no matter or I'll do it I'll get up an hour early I would rather have fun my friends right now when the sun's out and got up at seven instead of eight and pack my case couldn't agree
Starting point is 00:23:36 more are we and everyone should adopt it I don't think I'll ever come out of this I fucking hope not because you were boring for a bit I feel like I've never I've never actually forgotten what fun is but we're saying in the group chat today I've just been a prisoner of fun for a while. I did actually. But when I'm out.
Starting point is 00:23:52 But when I'm out. But when I'm out. I didn't not hear that is what I'm going to tell you. You were a bit. Like you would always just no, no, no. I think that dog made you boring. No, the dog made me have to be at home. See, even on that day,
Starting point is 00:24:04 see if my mum wasn't available to look after cookie because Jason was out at that comedy gig and he was also out drinking. I couldn't have, I could have taken cookie, but it's not enjoyable. So you do need to go home for the dog. I mean, I know. just life, isn't it? But also the period of time
Starting point is 00:24:20 that I had the dog was also, you and jelly were new mumms. Yeah. So my friends were boring as well, not out of choice. Correct. Not boring, unavailable for a sash. We did all the thing, we still did breakfast. We actually went, um, we went to, for a meeting, an excited meeter actually just, I was thinking, I had a session
Starting point is 00:24:38 another day, it was our, it was our sish. Yeah, yeah. We went to, um, we had a meeting with Spotify, actually, and it was in, we went to the West End and we went to Lovely. 1841. Coffee slash bar by the way. So cool. It's probably giving the similar vibes to probably what naked suit would offer.
Starting point is 00:24:55 You know what it's like you can go for coffee in the day or food and then you would have... Before you know what you're drinking apple. But you guys, a lot of you would have saw our story, you have like a bowl of crisps. It was very Mediterranean vibes. The perfect olives. You can have gilder. That's the perfect olive I've ever had, I think. They were so gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:25:10 They were amazing. Bread. I had a Hugo Spritz. You had an apparel spritz. It was truly stunning. We both caught the sun massively. Do you know what I would say that reminds me of when the sun's out, obviously not when it's not.
Starting point is 00:25:23 It's like sitting on a corner street and like Lisbon. Correct. Big bifold doors opening, really cool people inside it. You've got the lovely flats around in you. Yeah, it was so cool. Next to the Clarence where we're going tonight. Next to the Clarence is 2 1841s or maybe three actually, but it's the one in Highlands that we're talking about. It was so nice.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Please don't make it absolutely rammed, but you probably will now. We've said it. Another thing I need to shout out. and I know we've said it loads but CC Rooftop I haven't stopped thinking about their palomas and I've genuinely don't think I've ever will
Starting point is 00:25:52 It's so good In fact I've been here since I was there No For the second time No Because the first time I went with the interior designers And you went with those pre awards
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yes so I spoke about both of them I've never been out of Cece since You're going for your 30th birthday I'm going to my 30 birthday and having a third birthday there. And also I was there a couple weeks ago for their summer party. So you were with your mom? With my friend, Rosie, whose hend who was Bartholona.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Came and met me with her fiancé, because they were picking up their... You said, with her. Bartholona. He said with, but like with an extra lisp. I went to Bartholona with Rosie, with her. I just love it, Bartholona. Her and her fiancée came and met us because they were picking up their weddings. Cute activity.
Starting point is 00:26:42 In Glasgow. And I said... activity if you're getting married or you could just do it if you're not, fuck it. And we had far too many spicy margaritas. Oh my God, well I know this story yeah because you've told me but what the hell?
Starting point is 00:26:56 And I got the train home and I was sick down myself on the train. Guys, like she was actually, she actually spewed down herself. I spewed down the side of myself. On ScotRail. On ScotRail. And I got off three stops early and Jason had to come pick me up. And what I'm going to tell you right now.
Starting point is 00:27:15 In fact, do you know what? I'm actually doing myself dirty here. I'm going to say I had four or five drinks max. Right. I don't think that's that many. From like half five till half ten at night. That's not that many drinks. But we didn't really get a lot of food.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Yeah. It was hot. And they're strong there, you know. I know. I just, I don't know what was going on. So it was sick down myself and Jason picked me up and cookie was in the front so he made,
Starting point is 00:27:42 he brought me my dressing gown to put over my sick clothes and made me sit in the back. And do you know what? I'm actually not blaming him for that. But I'm going to tell you some. He said, one, why did you not just run to a toilet on the train?
Starting point is 00:27:56 Two, why did you not just stay on? You were two stops away from being at home and I live right next to the station. So it's not a journey. And what I will tell you right now is not one of those thoughts was in my brain. You're just like, I need to get off. I just was like, I feel a bit sick.
Starting point is 00:28:10 I'll make myself sick when I got home so that it's tactical, I sleep well and before I knew I was being sick that there was just no time for thoughts had none. Not a brain cell was active. Wow. So anyway, if you want a good time,
Starting point is 00:28:23 get yourself to see these. So good there. Anyway, we walked along on our session with Hannah to the caravan shop where they did an excellent spicy margarita. It was so sweet and beautiful. With gorgeous drinks that day, we did.
Starting point is 00:28:42 We also had that shakotery board, didn't we? That was really nice. Three different types of cheeses we chose them off the list. Well, I did, obviously. You did, Dad. You were saying words I've never heard. I was just reading off a menu, to be fair. I was just sitting my drink like I'm in a fucking great thing. That was nice.
Starting point is 00:28:59 That was a nice night. How did they go after that? And we didn't did, we stayed there. We stayed there? No, we walked into kitties. But it was dead. It was dead. But it was a nice night.
Starting point is 00:29:10 fair enough because you're not going in there until later on probably. Yeah. But I have been out. God. Go on, girl. I'm fine. I'm continuing to go out. You should.
Starting point is 00:29:21 You're 29 years of age, for fuck's sake. It's the big year. I'm making up for it because I probably went about six months without being drunk once. Yeah. I mean it doesn't necessarily mean you need to be drunk. You just need to say yes to more things. No, but I want to be. I want to be tipsy.
Starting point is 00:29:35 We go into South of France for your birthday soon. It's like eight weeks away. I just want to feel loose. Do you know what I mean? A bit airy. A bit like fluid. Is it them new teeth? It's a new teeth.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I'm smiling more I'm happy. What have you been up to tell me? I'll try and keep this brief then. I've been to Norfolk. I went down south. Well, I went down to Leicester for eight days whilst my kitchen started. Coincided this with my best mate Holly
Starting point is 00:30:04 coming back from Australia so we got to see her. Nice. Gorgeous experience. Um, we, all my friends got together. We went down to Norfolk from Leicester. We stayed in this amazing little Airbnb. It's actually a girl that I knows Airbnb, but she rents it out. So good.
Starting point is 00:30:21 It looks really nice. Really kitted out for families as well. It was perfect. That was in a place called, hmm, was it docking or something like that? Uh, probably like 10 minutes from the beach. Not too far from Huntsd's dancing. We didn't really go around there that much. We haven't for fish and chips there one day because that's a little bit like
Starting point is 00:30:38 Black Bull. But then there's just so many gorgeous pubs in Norfolk. I don't know if you've ever been. Never, but my mum's got a house. Oh, so she has. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's so nice. Yours moms is near Great Yarmouth, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:30:53 I couldn't tell you. Which is a little bit further down the coast. Jensen was, basically my dad had Jensen for a night. But three days, I was staying at my dad's, but I was off going, seeing some friends and stuff and doing my own thing. But then they took Jensen to Norfolk on the Saturday. stayed there that night and then I went out for my holly's like reunion dinner and then we all went we all then drove to norfolk i picked up jensen halfway near peterborough took him back to norfolk with
Starting point is 00:31:21 us and then we had two days then it was just lovely the weather was gorgeous it looked perfect um so that was nice and then came back for a bit saw my family just enjoyed the sunshine to be honest came back to or to chaos at the house as you can imagine guys someone told me that moving house is most stressful thing, but they never warned me about renovations with a fucking toddler. Yeah, difficult. It's hard, but it's not terrible. I guess because we do have the space, we've got the dining room that we can put in, like, the microwave or we've got a downstairs toilet, which the builders can use, and I can, it's hilarious,
Starting point is 00:31:56 that little tiny sink on washing pots in there. But, listen, worse things can happen. It's fine. You're washing pots and the sink in that toilet? Yes. Right, okay. There's no water in the kitchen at all. so the dishwasher can't be on.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Right. And it's going to be like this until next Thursday. So another week until I can get water coming through. My tap's being fitted today but it won't be plugged in. Right. It's not all going to be linked up. Not yet. Not yet. The work tops come in about, I would say, another week. And then all the decorative stuff starts.
Starting point is 00:32:29 So upholstery, painting, panelling, building the banquet, corner seating area. then you've got to get all the little, there's so many little things you've got to think about because I am doing this with a kitchen company. It's called Stuart Design and Build, by the way, if you're wondering. It's quite a bespoke one, but it's great. They work really closely with DeCrestone,
Starting point is 00:32:50 so it's been seamless, to be honest with you, and their guys are brilliant. And it's actually been done quicker than I thought. This was probably one of the reasons why I did want to go with them because it is so fast. It seems as if it just popped up. Yeah, it's brilliant. I've got bespoke doors being made in Italy,
Starting point is 00:33:06 which because my ceiling height is so low at one end of the kitchen, annoyingly, a standard door from like Howden's rent or whatever wouldn't fit it so any company would have had to have made them bespoke that's taken a long time and they said to me
Starting point is 00:33:21 that this is the first time I was done in a kitchen that's not cream, grey or beige so they're really looking forward to having a kitchen of colour. Yeah. Yeah. I was showing them all pictures because I was doing lots on like chat GPT and I was like this is how I wanted to look
Starting point is 00:33:34 this is my vision and they were all like, wow, yeah, that's nice, that's different. Because they're probably so used to having like real modernised kitchens, which is nothing wrong with that. It's just not my taste at all. So I'm actually looking for kitchen handles that are like antique, like antique brass, swan neck swing handles. Like that's what I want.
Starting point is 00:33:51 I don't want the, they got, show me this brand. Some of you guys that are into interiors will probably know. It's called hendel and hendel. And it's like an amazing brand of kitchen handles. Great name. But it's all really solid, real brass, thick. like handles. Poling.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Which are gorgeous. Yeah. It's just not what I'm after. So I think I'm prolonging it as well because I'm like, no, I'll get this separately to this or this. And they all love my vision, but I just, you know what I'm like? I'm so indecisive. But when I have my, when I have my sights on something, I have to have it that way. There's no other way around it until I'll find a way to get that thing.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Yeah. And I went into a salvage yard yesterday. It's called Glasgow. to go salvage to try and find myself tiles. I tried to find handles, all sorts of things that I could maybe look to get. They had everything but what I wanted. Like they had all these things, but they weren't what I wanted. So these most incredible, you're not going to fucking believe it.
Starting point is 00:34:51 And the guys there were great, by the way, near Paisley. Okay? So great. And they had these tiles that were out beautiful. They've been ripped out from 200 years ago. They were ripped out recently, but from a 200-year-old Edinburgh townhouse. And I was like, oh my fucking God, they're beautiful. There was a lot that were smashed up, but there was a significant amount that were full.
Starting point is 00:35:16 And he was like, you're not going to believe this. He's like, but we've had them sat here pre-COVID. Six, seven years we've had them sat here. And a guy is coming to collect them all this morning. I was like, you're joking. And this was like afternoon. And he says, I said, well, the morning's past. Can't you just tell him?
Starting point is 00:35:34 He's like, no, because he's already got. half of the batch and you need 16 more. And when we take these 16 away, you're left with the dregs. You're going to have to start doing something creative and puzzle piece these shit together. And I only want them at the back of the auger, so there was enough, but there just wasn't enough
Starting point is 00:35:50 to make it work. They had every colour in this tile that I want in my kitchen. It was perfect. So I'm fuming, but he took my details. So he said, just in case he never turns up, I'll let you know. But yeah, there's just
Starting point is 00:36:05 so many things that I want that I can't have and then I just prolong it and then before you know it I'm having to be fucking am all then I'm like right when can I next look and really look and dive into finding exactly what I want I've no get the patience for that shit I know Zoe I know but I love it though I do think this sort of stuff
Starting point is 00:36:21 just sets my soul on fire it does it's strange why would that be strange no because it's just like no matter what the no matter what the project is yeah like it's not you're not just like this with interiors.
Starting point is 00:36:36 No. Just anything creative. Or just anything that's like needed to be done. Yeah. That's like
Starting point is 00:36:43 I don't know I can't explain. Explain. Just when you they've got a project you need to do you can get so into it.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Yeah. Whereas I just can't be harsh when like that. Like you can spend like looking for hotels you will spend hours. Yeah correct.
Starting point is 00:37:01 I spend one hour and I'm drawing for a week. If I'm doing an idea It has to be exactly what I want. But I'm not a perfectionist though. I am in some ways of my life, absolutely. But I'm not a perfectionist. Like I will 100% enjoy to go with the flow if I'm away.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Or I'm maybe quite impulsive is what I'm trying to say. Like I'm impulsive in some ways of my life, which isn't perfectionism. That's somebody saying yes to something. Yeah. But then I am when I want something that's going to be mine or I've made it a project or interiors, holidays, whatever it is. Let's say it's a treatment for myself, like whether that's a beauty treatment, aesthetic treatment,
Starting point is 00:37:40 I will make sure I go to the best person, my hair done, the best person, teeth, the best, I will travel the end of the earth to go to the best, or the best. I will have you if someone tells me to. And I think that's probably why people
Starting point is 00:37:52 enjoy my recommendations because I put my fucking heart and soul into it. I can't be arsh looking, but I would like you to tell me. Yeah, exactly. Product recommendations. Go to the best, use the best, buy the best. So you need to just ask.
Starting point is 00:38:05 the best. Yes. And I'm not, I'm not doing it myself. But what I will say is I am my own worst enemy when it comes and stuff like that though because it becomes my personality and it wrecks my head. And then it's almost like I'm just not making
Starting point is 00:38:19 a decision. So they're chasing me nonstop. Like have you pick your handles yet? I'm like, I haven't picked my handles yet because you're rushing. They're not rushing me but I'm feeling rushed. I'm feeling the pressure. And I haven't picked the one I'm exactly one. Do they exist?
Starting point is 00:38:33 Fuck no, Zoe. Yeah, they do. Do you know another thing that's pissing me off? And anyone that, like I say, is into interiors will appreciate this. Antique brass is different antique brass to whatever you're looking at. So I've got an antique brass tap and you've got an antique brass pulley handles, right? Or anything, like any sort of feature things in your kitchen, every single company's version of an antique brass thing or plug sockets are completely different. The shade of gold is so different
Starting point is 00:39:06 And that just that really fucks me off I can't go in and have all different shades of gold It can't happen But the company don't do The three different products for each thing You go to a socket company Go to a tap company And you go to a kitchen handle company
Starting point is 00:39:20 So That's where you lose me Because I've tried to do that And then I'm lost because I'm like I'm fed up Whereas you'll make it work Oh I have to make it work Because I'm being forced to
Starting point is 00:39:32 And they said to me They're like you need to do You need to go. You have to go and get yourself some sockets. And I'm like, oh my God. So I've gone to Screw Fix and they've obviously got two options. One's like polished gold and one's antique brass. I'm like, but what happens if that doesn't match my tap?
Starting point is 00:39:46 Then my head's wrecked. No. Anyway, kind of boring chat, but I fucking love it. So that's my personality this week. The Catching. Correct. You are the catching. I went to Hamilton races.
Starting point is 00:40:00 That was really nice. Went to the family day. Lovely. Great. Got invited in, we went and sat in the box, and we had a lovely three-course dinner, which was a view of the actual race course. We only had time to watch one race,
Starting point is 00:40:13 so because it was bedtime. Perfect if your kids are a little bit older. But what I really loved about the Hamilton Family Day was that every single activity was free. So they had loads of stuff on for kids. So you buy your jacket and everything else comes free? Every single activity, ride, bouncy castle, face painting, you name it, was all included.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Obviously there was food trucks and stuff You would buy additional stuff You'd get his face painted No Would you do that? Yeah Some parents are funny with that Are they?
Starting point is 00:40:42 Well because their kids' skin might be sensitive though Yeah I think it's or in case that happens Yeah That's true imagine Oh my God Had my Botox done with Fiona Incredible
Starting point is 00:40:55 We've got a little bit lighter this time Just around the tops of my forehead What I used to have When I used to go to Zara And what Fiona said I originally had I don't love it I have it in the middle of my forehead. I feel like it's quite heavy on me and it makes me feel a little bit tense. But when I went for my massage at Glen Eagles and I told you I had all that
Starting point is 00:41:12 fucking gwasher, she said that my massata muscles, and I've always known this as I can tell because I've got severe cuteness aggression are huge, right? She was like, you really should gwash her that muscle that's really grisily. So anyway, I repeated that information to Fiona. She wouldn't let me have a feel. I kid you not. She almost bounced away from the chair and was like, yes, what the hell, especially this side. Right. I was like, honestly, Fiona, I reckon, I know I ground my teeth. I go, I mean, so bad.
Starting point is 00:41:42 But she said, you know, since I've had Jensen and I've got the bloody cats, the cuteness aggression for me is so bad that I feel myself gritting down every time I look at him. When I look at Jensen, I want to rip him apart because he's that cute. Do you know what I mean? And I get it so bad that all day I think my jaw is just tense. Yeah. along with life stresses as well and then teeth grinding. So she did suggest that I could look into massacobotox,
Starting point is 00:42:10 which would help relieve that. You know that I've always had tension down to my neck and my shoulder, which definitely will lead to that. But there's just a few things that you have to consider. And some people on TikTok have like wonky smiles and that because it's quite close to this area. Right, okay. She said my muscles far back and it should be fine,
Starting point is 00:42:32 but I just personally don't want to risk that. I trust going to Fiona however I was thinking of getting that done really I've not thought about any of those things you just said but a lot of people see this is why you need me in your life soie a lot of people have said that they do it for aesthetic purposes as well to slim the face I don't need that I could honestly
Starting point is 00:42:51 claw your eyes out with my chin and pointy face I don't know that I've got a slim face but I've got a really you've got a proper like jaw so what would that do it would define you You'd be more long. Maybe I need that actually quite square. Yeah, but that's your jaw definition though. That's nice. Do you know what's funny? I've never thought about the fact that maybe that,
Starting point is 00:43:16 because I get that pull up my neck all the time. Could be? Maybe it's related to the jaw. Could be. The clenching because I noticed myself just literally sitting just typing or watching TV or something. I was grinding my teeth that whole time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Or not grinding, but. clenching them together. I notice it all the time. Have you ever seen that thing when you're scrolling on your phone it's just someone saying relax your jaw? Because you're honestly like that
Starting point is 00:43:43 or put your tongue off the roof of your mouth and just relax your jaw. I've been noticing it a lot recently because it feels different obviously like I was saying because of the teeth. Because of the teeth. So I'm really noticing
Starting point is 00:43:54 I'm like I've just sat and been pushing them together which is so bad because it's going to ruin them. Maybe you should go to speak to Fiona then and have a look at that. It's good. if you've got a retainer to wait at night, but you're in a date. That's fuck all you can do about it.
Starting point is 00:44:07 A lot of people have that traptocks as well, where they have it in the traps. I would honestly love that. I am extremely, I'm a prawn. I'd love to be able to relax my shoulders. However, I have heard that it's not good for people that lift weights. Oh, yeah, okay. So I don't want to, again, I don't want to risk that. Yeah, overhead stuff.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I can't do that. to lose that sensation. Yeah, same. I don't like that. I don't like losing sensations. But I will look into that. So anyone listening that hasn't had Massa to Botox
Starting point is 00:44:43 for those purposes. I'm not talking about aesthetics reasons but fair fucks if you absolutely do. Let me know if it's change your life and tell me how it feels. Because you know what people say if you have lip flip, you can't suck a willy or suck a straw?
Starting point is 00:44:56 Yeah, I know. That's weird, isn't it? I'd like a lip-lipped. Would you? Yeah. Because from the side I have no lips from the front I do. I think that would help that. We'll never do it.
Starting point is 00:45:11 A lip flip basically is Botox that goes up here that stops the... You know when you smile, it stops the lip curling under. Yeah. I have a gummy smile but I do think I like it because I think it makes me look younger than what I am. Yeah, it probably does. Gummy smiles do make you look young. I just think I'm too scared to get into my lips.
Starting point is 00:45:33 I've spoke about it my whole life. Yeah. I've been an adult. I'm going to get letfiller. Never done it. Yeah. You don't need lip filler. No one needs lip filler, but...
Starting point is 00:45:41 A wee boost is always nice, I think. When I was with Johnny, my dentist yesterday, basically I stupidly bit down on a glass straw and slightly tip my two. So I went for that and also to ask him
Starting point is 00:45:59 what I can do about my never-ending invisible line journey. I was like, I just either want these off or can I just get a new retainer. Can't go through it again. I just, I know. Yeah, I've always had these on.
Starting point is 00:46:11 I think I forget they have there. You don't see them. Do you not? But I said obviously like this fang does bother me and I paid all that money like I would like to get it sorted. He was like, look, you've already used up your two extra trays with Envisaline. So we can't do that. However, we can look at another option, a different company called Shaw Smile.
Starting point is 00:46:31 So it's a bit like you go into fucking, you say and you have shellac. but you've got gel bottle and you've got whatever, yeah? But everyone just knows it as Invisal. It's the actual brand. Yep. It's apparently a lot cheaper and the catch with this is,
Starting point is 00:46:43 well not the catch, but the difference is you can pay per aliner with Invisaline, it's like a minimum 750 quid or thousand pound or something for X amount of retainers. With, you know then you have to have more and more. Right, okay. But with Shaw Smile,
Starting point is 00:46:58 you can just pay per retainer. Right. Right? So it's a lot, a lot, lot. cheaper. So it will potentially cost me because I only need six. It's only going to cost me a couple of hundred quid to get them done and it's the exact same thing. So that's a good option for you to look at is go to someone that is that would do Shaw Smile because not all dentists do it. And they still do that through him though? Yes, it's through Johnny. Isn't sure smile the one that's on the adverts
Starting point is 00:47:24 and that? I have no idea. He can send pitch your teeth on. He said he prefers using that now. He said he actually thinks that get better results from it. There you go. So Johnny is a private. He's a private dentist, but he is with the NHS, but he is based at Udington Dentists and another place somewhere in the West End, I think. So have a look at him online. That's a nice tip for you if anyone thinking about it, that, because it's so expensive and so many people would love braces. I said to him, can I have a train track? Please just give me a train track. Obviously, I don't want that, but I would prefer to just finish it.
Starting point is 00:47:56 I'm just not an invisible girl. It's not, I'm not that type of personality. Are you just going to try to be definite with your smile? He just said the cost of you getting a train track because I want to have to send you to someone else then it's going to cost you the same amount of money so just go with this
Starting point is 00:48:09 and stick on it because you're paying twice essentially just fucking stick at it Jess day one of this podcast ever started I'd started that journey I'm going to be on at you for that and it honestly is that as soon as that dog mangled up that brace
Starting point is 00:48:23 he went downhill for me the dog ate my homework honestly it did that's it nobody did right Let's do a couple emails. World Cup is the World Cup
Starting point is 00:48:35 doing anyone else he's heading. I was all for supporting Scotland. I loved the buzz around the place, but they're out now and my husband is still obsessed. Scotland played their middle of the night games. I told them to go to stay at his mum's as we have a four-year-old who will wake up at 6.30, regardless of what time to go to bed.
Starting point is 00:48:50 So I thought I was being a nice wife. Fast forward to last night, he stayed up until 2 a.m. watching the Argentina game. It might be the last time I ever seen Messy play, is what he said. And has had to be parent today and has been really crabbit as I would be if I stayed up until them. He's now informed me there's a game next Saturday
Starting point is 00:49:07 that won't finish until 4 a.m. And it might just stay his mum's, and it's really starting to piss me off. Okay, then, you go stay up all night, your mum's. Meanwhile, I'll get up at 6th, 30 and entertain our whirlwind until you wake up and make it home. He keeps saying the World Cup is only on every four years, which yes, I get, but my argument is if I go on night out with the girls,
Starting point is 00:49:28 I either organise childcare or just get up in the morning, you're on with things, or not, just needed that. Maybe I'm overreacting, but somehow the bad guy in this situation for mourning about it, that would piss me off. Yeah, I definitely understand. I think it's a fucking football game.
Starting point is 00:49:41 I know. I do understand both sides, though, because, listen, in his defence, it's not his fault that the time difference it's in America, and if that's your big passion and you really love football, of course you're going to want to watch the World Cup. Like, it's huge.
Starting point is 00:49:57 I'm getting an impression that's not. He's big passion, though, or else you probably would understand you know what I mean I think he's like got into the buzz of it yeah but that's fair and they've never had to experience it because they didn't have a kid to the last time but in her defence like as women as a default parent you do just get up and crack on with it yeah you just need to go on with you don't ever automatically think that everything's going to be okay like I feel like with majority of guys they almost just willy-neely go off and do whatever they want and they think that they can't handle being a parent over the next day so you're
Starting point is 00:50:31 need you look after. But we just get on with it. Exactly. So I think you're very, very valid to have a bit of a rant. Yeah, I think your rant is absolutely acceptable. But listen, it's going to be over in a few days. I reckon you could try and wangle it and be like, right, one nil to you. What can I have?
Starting point is 00:50:53 Yeah. You've had your endless midnight games. I'm out going to my party girl era with the girlies. and I'm fucking staying at my mum's do it. Yeah, I think so. I think you let them because you only do the thing that you enjoy. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:51:10 But it's definitely about maybe you just need to realise that he can watch the game absolutely but it doesn't mean he can then state his mum's until like 1pm and have a long lie because he still got a kid at home. Also, why don't you just... I know people are going to be like, no.
Starting point is 00:51:26 But why don't you just not have to watch it live and just don't look at your phone and then watch it the next morning. I just don't think as a guy it's not the same buzz. But I'm sorry you've got responsibilities. No I know. I think that's why she's got frustrations because it's like tough tits essentially. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:51:43 Like we will watch Love Island on repeat. If we can't watch it the night before. Love Love Island. Are you loving it? It's nearly done surely. I might like me doing another one. I need that guy though to stop wearing them glasses.
Starting point is 00:52:01 The one that everyone loves. They look terrible on in them. It looked like he's a bit of a joke. I fucking love him and I have no words said about him. I love the look of him but then glasses do not suit him at all. No. They're big glasses. Yeah, they're not a bit of him then.
Starting point is 00:52:17 He needs to go and get some like gold rim dark things to suit him better. They're too like girly. I think they're quite sexy. Do you? I just think he's sexy. He can do no wrong. I don't watch it so I genuinely don't see the attraction
Starting point is 00:52:34 but I think you have to get to know somebody's personality to understand his sexiness because he's so fucking unbothered Is he? Is he got a girlfriend? Like is he actually found love on Love Island? Yeah but he's in there for a good thing Is he? Yeah and everyone loves him for it Do they? Yeah
Starting point is 00:52:50 If I was in there I would be obsessed with him I can't believe more of them But there's no one else not obsessed with him The one he's with yeah but not even really She's Polish and pure nonchalant as well They're a great match though Do they like each other? Yeah, I think so, but who knows.
Starting point is 00:53:06 He doesn't need to like anyone, he can win it himself. If he could, he would. Need to make that happen. So with a Scottish girl, but she's fucked it, and I have a feeling she's walking out tonight. She's gorgeous. Scottish girl? Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:19 Ely. Her lips are beautiful. Her lips? Yes. She's got the most beautiful lips ever. She's got a nice smile. I mean, I'm only watching clips, but she's a sling. I love the rant that she had when
Starting point is 00:53:35 I don't know who she's with. Family don't like him. We don't like Finn, do we not? Okay. Whoever she was going up to the girl's room and she was ranting and screaming about him. She does that a lot. And it was just so Scottish.
Starting point is 00:53:47 Yeah, she does that. Every other word was fucking this and fucking that. Everyone loves her. Everyone loves her for it. My mom keeps saying it's like the Truman show. Why? And she's Truman. Because everyone's just rooting for her.
Starting point is 00:53:58 Everyone wants her to do well. Not just Scottish people. Everyone just loves Ellie. She was a favorite girl in that. Why don't she get with Lorenzo? No, they're just pals. Oh, that's a shame. Yeah, I know it is, because Finn's fucked it.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Right, the subject, I hate when my mother-in-law helps clean. We were talking about that. I need to comment on this in-law cleaning topic. Background is, my partner has pretty much had everything done for them their whole life, and I'm polar opposite, bringing myself up from a teenager sort of vibe. We've recently bought a house together, and when my mother-in-law comes over and tries to clean, it dries me up the wall. My partner would sit back and let her do everything
Starting point is 00:54:35 But I can't take it Get out of my own sweet please That's her private bathroom And if I want to leave my toothbrush out Then I absolutely will My final straw was when I came home from work And she was in and cleaned the main bathroom And then told me don't use that bathroom
Starting point is 00:54:49 I just cleaned it And my own house I just about fell down the stairs Since then I've made it bloody clear She's not to clean when she comes over And she can just chill I know she just wants to help But I'm eyeing the wrong for having that boundary
Starting point is 00:55:02 Don't clean. I've just, no, don't use that bathroom. I've just cleaned it. I would be this girl. I just don't want someone cleaning my house. I just don't. Yeah. I'm fine if you want to, like, say I was in the situation of having a young, a baby or newborn, young kid or whatever. Yeah, and you wanted to say, I'll do some washing. Don't stop doing that iron. You go get a shower, whatever, I'll do it. I'm okay with that, but I don't want you cleaning my bathroom. Yeah. or like an onsuit or something where all your stuff is
Starting point is 00:55:38 I don't imagine I would leave any mess behind in terms of like in the toilet or anything but what if you just were in a rush and you ran out and yeah your toothbrush is lying out or you forgot to flush I just don't want you in there and also just passing comments
Starting point is 00:55:52 and judgment as well on how you live and also in your bathroom or maybe your bedside or on your bedside what have you been frisky the night before and you've got a wee something lying there or you maybe forgot that you flung your pants off Like just stuff like that I find that so uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:56:06 I also find it a little bit uncomfortable knowing that if somebody does you wash it for you like if my yeah hate it and I'm like you actually have to sift through my dirty pants and put them
Starting point is 00:56:19 in the wash no I wouldn't allow that that wouldn't happen to me what was if you leave the house and they've done the washing for you that's just not happening I would be saying don't touch any washing
Starting point is 00:56:31 I just wouldn't yeah it's just a conversation that I think would be had if I felt that was going to happen because sometimes we'll take our wet washing up to Jason's mum's to hang out the back if it's sunny to get it done quicker and if we do that and it's me that's doing it I take my pants out.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Yeah and just put that on your radiator or something. Yeah, or I don't put them in the wash I'll put them in when I'm doing the next wash. And I think it happened one time before I think I don't even know if it was when we'd moved out I think Jason took some washing up because he'd been away and he'll take it up and use her washing machine
Starting point is 00:57:07 so that we can get it done if we're on holiday whatever it might be and I remember I'd came on my period and he'd just flung it all in and I was mortified and obviously Lorraine was like I've got a daughter I don't get the fuck like do not worry about it
Starting point is 00:57:22 yeah we're all women here they don't care but I care it's not about them caring it's me caring yeah of course and I get that it just feels so too close to home Yeah, I get that. I wouldn't even want my own mum doing it, by the way. Same.
Starting point is 00:57:34 All of this, I don't want my mum or my mother. Just anyone. Yeah. I don't want you to think I'm dirty. You wouldn't know. Or do you think my house is dirty? I just see, like, my mum and parents and all that as guests in my house. But in a nice way.
Starting point is 00:57:50 Yeah. I don't want you doing things. Yeah. But it does depend how you've been brought up, though. Of course. No, I don't like that. I don't like it. Get your big crusty pants in there.
