Tuesday, guys.
Happy Tuesday.
Welcome back to the best podcast in the world.
With me, Jessica, Naomi Ted's.
Nobody knew that was your middle name.
Nobody knows your middle name.
Say it.
Zoe Elizabeth Quinn.
Gorgeous.
Lesie.
Lesie Q.
The queen.
Lizzie Q.
Lesie Queen.
Lizzie Queen.
Lizzie Queen.
Lizzie Queen.
Hello, everybody.
I hope everyone had a gorgeous week.
Same.
The weather's back to be nice.
Actually not too bad this week.
San is shining.
Jessica got jorts on.
And flip-flops look terrible.
I can't wait to come to the studio
because my shoes just not go with the outfit,
but does it matter because no one sees him?
And also, if you look at it on clothes on YouTube,
you should have seen the state of my nails this morning
10 minutes before I had to leave the door.
But I've been oil-staining my cabinets in the kitchen, and yeah.
So if you see my nails and they're looking grubby, that's why I really can't get them off.
You should get a wee glove for doing that?
Do you know what it is?
I agree.
I tried to put on Marigolds first, and it just wasn't getting all the nooks and crannies.
I'd just rather just get my fingers right in there with the sponge.
Oh, you're using a sponge?
Yeah, like a lint cloth thing.
Right, that makes sense.
I was wondering why it was getting all of your fingers.
But I just prefer things like that.
See when I was on the flight there, going to Marrakesh, which I talk about in a minute.
It reminded me of us talking about that fly.
The Portuguese fly?
And I thought, I wonder if there's anyone here.
Because I saw like a wee mark on the wall or something.
I thought, was that a fly or a spider or something?
But it wasn't, but it just reminded me of that fun time.
Well, that would be fly.
Hope he's well.
If he's well.
He's fully Spanish now.
Oh, he's fluent.
He's learned a lot by this point.
He's making tapass.
them.
Right, what's on to these episodes?
Could it make me a fitz of giggles
last week, guys?
When we and Zoe watched that back,
I was in stitches.
On today's episode,
a wee catch-up,
I've got nada to tell you,
to be honest.
I can't wait to hear about Marrakesha.
I don't really know an awful lot,
so I can't wait to ask you.
I'm ready to talk about it.
We've got a couple of email dilemmas,
and yeah,
that's a bit it we've had.
Anyway, let's get in what's been happening in your wee world.
Well, last week I went to Marrakesh in Morocco with my mother.
Yes.
I've never felt heat like it.
Really? How hot?
40 degrees.
That feels illegal.
40 degrees, you were kicking about in 40 degrees heat.
But do you know what?
See, once you just accepted it, it was bearable.
and you're not lying at the pool
all day in 40 degrees heat like that's not what you're doing
is it that type of somewhere you can get a tan
because when you go to Dubai I feel like
I could never tan
well I didn't try but I would imagine so
that it's similar to Dubai
like really humid
like it feels hot but a lot of the time it's quite
dusty
looking yeah do you know what I mean it was like a desert
so went there
and
where did you fly from
Edinburgh
And how long is the flight?
It was three hours, 45 minutes.
With...
Sleazy Jet.
Was it?
And you know what I'll say?
I think Sleazy Jets quite roomy.
Yeah, it is.
At their legs?
Yeah.
I agree on that.
I actually said to Mom,
you know what?
There's quite a lot of space here.
And I've got real legs, but...
The seats are quite thin.
Yeah.
With Ryanair, the seats are not a real chunky.
And then you've not got a lot of leg space.
Yes. But I was actually fine.
It was an early morning flight from Edinburgh at 7am.
Ooh.
Yeah, I know, early.
but it set us up quite well
because we then had the hot air balloon ride the next morning
which was a 3.30 rise.
Pardon?
We were getting picked up at 4.30 in the morning.
For some rise?
Yes.
Yep. Because they were picking you up at half four
and then there was a couple of pickups
depending on who you booked.
So we just did it through to get your guides
which is where everyone really does it
but it just depends where your pickup point has I guess
from where you're staying
and then they drive you there
which is maybe about 20 minutes half an hour
and then you sit on this sort of like
terraced area
you can get like a water
a tea coffee
there was kind of like a bread or something you could eat
and you wait until they all start blowing up the balloons
and stuff and then you get put in your groups
and then taking you to your balloon
it was amazing
your fate or waited or I've been shit in my pants
I was okay until we were kind of standing
waiting to get on the balloon
and I thought
this is kind of actually scary
I'm going up into the sky
and like
what happens when you're up there
that dream video was amazing
amazing
I mean your mum did that pushback
and it went away and I was like
you almost feel like
giving it a laldy
giving it an effort
so they basically power the balloon
by gas
so it's like with the fire
getting it up
but they blow it up first
and then you climb into the basket
but the basket's quite large
there was maybe about
16 people in it at once
but it's split into four
so in your own wee
like quarter you've only got four people
so see if it was to
tip when you come down
no one would fall on you
because there's a separation
So you basically get in it
They're starting to like pump it up
And eventually it just starts floating off the ground
And then it just goes up
And did you say a nice sunset?
Yeah, sunset happened
It was a wee bit cloudy
Sorry, some rise
I'll say sunset as well
So nice
It was a bit cloudy but you saw it coming up over the
Hill
It was really nice and all the other balloons up there
Oh yeah of course
It was amazing
What I will say is see when they're blowing the fire
to keep it going up.
Hot.
It's fucking roasting on your head.
I thought it was going to come off
in the hair.
Hair singed-da.
That's the last thing I need.
But no, I couldn't recommend it enough.
And then after it, you go and get a breakfast
and the kind of arrivals bit.
And you all sit and then it's all covered
and they like peel the blanket away
and there's like melon, different fruits, bread,
like cream cheese, things like that.
How long's the hot air balloon ride for?
About 50 minutes.
So you go up and then they take quite high
and you go below and they just make it go up and down
and then eventually you land.
But what I was thinking is how did they land you in position?
I think he can maybe pull the balloon.
Yeah.
It directs it where the wind's pulling.
But the landing is so smooth.
Brilliant.
Because I've obviously saw all those TikToks
where it's like bumping and you're all falling and all that.
But let's just scrape the ground once,
went up a tiny wee bit and then scraped it again and that was you.
And you just climb out.
How much was it?
It was about £108 per person
and that includes your transfer and your breakfast.
That's amazing I think.
I think that's not bad for a once-in-lifetime opportunity experience.
Yeah, I agree.
And then we paid to get the video.
So the drone comes up and takes pictures and videos of you
and they obviously do it so that they focus on your group.
Yeah. So, like, me and my mum was like the focus of our video, obviously,
and then each person gets that attention.
Oh, right. Okay.
And that worked out.
We paid that cash, actually, but I think it was about 300 mad,
which is about £28.
That's good as well.
And that gave you that full video and two professional photos.
They took photos of you before it went up in the basket,
which I thought was really good.
And do you know what the annoying thing is?
And we've said this before.
when you're in these moments
nothing looks as good on your phone
as it does in the moment
so even a lot of the TikToks and stuff that I saw
was like it doesn't look like that on my phone
like when I was thinking
how do people get like that but then when you're looking
at it yourself is amazing but then when you got the drone
video back because it's professionally shot
it looked unreal yeah so I think
worth getting that to keep forever
really nice wee memony
so we'd like
so we stayed in a Riyadh
which is the Moroccan
style
accommodation.
Where it's got all the rooms around
and then you look down
and you've got the pool.
It's all open in the inside
there's a pool at the bottom
which is only for decorative purposes.
Yeah.
And then
a lot of them have a pool
and some loungers
at the top on the roof
whichever did.
But the one we stayed in
was actually really nice
it's called Pure House
and it's right off
of the sooks
which is the markets
which
it's a funny one
Right, because I would really recommend Marrakesh.
She's got amazing things, but equally it's kind of...
It's the first time you've been?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like, there's a lot of rubbish, quite dirty in bits.
Like, the markets and everything are a bit much, a bit intense.
There's a lot of, like, stray cats roaming around, which I found really sad.
But to be fair, I saw loads of people who own stalls at the markets, putting down cat food.
And, like, big old bottles of water, like, you know, when they cut them off,
and it's just a big dish.
So I think they do look after the cats.
They do a lot of horse and carriages there, which I hate.
I hate.
And bearing of my...
Just like animals for entertainment almost.
Yeah, and a lot of performing monkeys.
No.
Actually, no, I think about them
at least one minute every hour of the day now.
I hate it.
And now you're all going to think about it too.
But in the square...
So we had to walk through the square
to get to the street of the sook
that our accommodation was just off of.
Did you get harassed, by the way?
No.
Because I've heard from so many people,
people that I've said if you go to Marrakesh, especially if you're blonde, that they just don't
leave you alone? No, I didn't experience that at all. I actually have nothing but amazing
things to say about the people there. That's amazing. Obviously when you're walking through the
markets. You just have your wits about you. Yeah. Well, not even that. They'll maybe say,
like, do you want to come in and have a look? But see as soon as you say no, or maybe later or whatever,
they let you go. Do they? Like, they do not. It's worse for a restaurant in Spain. Yeah.
Like, honestly, they really didn't have.
assal us at all and me and my mum were probably like perfect targets like it's two women
blonde white yeah like just completely like because my wee sister even said she lived there for a while
like you'll probably get quite harassed by the way and I honestly really didn't you would hear the odd
guy like maybe shout something but I don't know what they're saying so I just ignored it and walked on
they weren't I didn't feel unsafe at all actually amazing to know um but yeah the monkeys in the square all
had like outfits and that on it was horrendous
horrendous yeah
like football tops and like skirts
and stuff and I hated it from the minute
we didn't really hang around the square we just had to walk through it
to get to the bit because another thing to know is if you stay in a Riyadh
you can't get dropped or picked up like obviously at the door because it's
in among streets and streets of markets
so we had to walk out and along and through the square
to get to like a garage basically
where they would pick us up.
So our route for that was through the main square.
Yeah, you could do Uber, yeah.
Which we did.
And we had to walk through the square every single time.
We were like getting a taxi at night.
And I've tried to just look straight ahead
where I was walking every time.
And I always saw it the fucking monkeys.
And on the last day, because I've said to my mum,
I know they're kept in a cage.
I just know they are.
And I can't stop thinking about it.
And on the last day, I saw the boxes they were kept in.
because there was monkeys in them.
It was fucking horrendous.
I hated it.
Between them, the horseses and the cats.
Honestly, I thought,
how can I take them home?
Do you think it breaks your heart
that all over the world
there's just so much shit going on
with animal cruelty?
It's horrendous.
You just can't do anything about it.
But then I feel bad because I eat animals.
No, I know.
And it just gets you in a deep pole
of like, how can I comment?
I know.
Yeah, it was just, that's a hard watch
because it's just not anything
I just don't like to see
Yeah I think using animals for our entertainment
though is something that I do draw the line at though
It is different than consumption
Because that's the way you're brought into life known
Is that that's what you eat
Well in our time anyway
Whereas entertainment's a lot different than that
Yeah
But that was the only negative I have to say
But you experienced
Yeah I would definitely
If you're thinking of going
I would definitely go
more
maybe like March
April or October
November because it was
roasting hot
very like unbearable heat
we had like
wee fans with us all the time
I thought you went to no boo
you went to no boo
even if there's no boo there
that's so boojay
the restaurants
rooftops and everything
are amazing there
amazing even in the middle
of the sooks
we went to
a place called
Otto for dinner one night
which was on a rooftop
like literally above the markets
unbelievable food
really nicely done.
And we also went to a rooftop
for a drink called Dar Dar, which
was like really Moroccan
and really cool, like loads of
lights hanging and all that and had a really nice
view. And then we also went
to a place called La Pergola, which
was again in the six. So not everything's
out with that. Like there actually is a lot.
There's hundreds of rooftops
in there because they're just on top
of the busyness, you know.
It's just about finding them because it's hard
when you're walking around. There's so many shops
and everything to be like
what's good and what's not.
Yeah.
But there's, honestly,
TikTok will tell you there's hunters.
But then we also got taxis
the first night to an Italian
called the Latitoria,
which is like basically an old Riyadh, I think.
So there's like a pool in the middle
and you all sit around it,
which was really good.
The food was really good as well.
And then on the last night
we went to Nobu for dinner and drinks on the rooftop.
Couldn't recommend it enough.
Apparently it's the cheapest Nobu in the world.
Right.
Doesn't he fucking look at it.
looked unreal
but I think we were probably about
200 pounds
for our meal and cocktails that night
in total by the way
so a hundred pound per head made a three course meal
and I had lobster spaghetti
but she was usually quite expensive
so it was actually really good
because you have a nice time
she did a great time she was flirting
she was flirting
tell us well
so in Nobu
we after our dinner we asked it move to the pool side
for a few drinks because also there's
singers and dancers that go around the pool
and they moved us there but we were on
like a bed so we were kind of
like we took her shoes off and were like kind of not
lying but you know what I mean legs up in front of you on the bed
and then
one of the performers was back down it's like a
big circle so we were like in the inner circle
say right in the tables for eating or like the outer circle
so there was something going on in the outer circle
that we then went on to like her knees
and turned round to look at over
the kind of balcony so
my mum's feet were then next to these
two guys that were sitting on seats
beside us who to be
honest we assumed we're a gay couple because they were
quite touchy-feely
and just like yeah and just
I don't know I think just two guys
like that older and no boo
like a cocktail yeah we just assumed
which is wrong but we just did but it was the way
they were acting yeah anyway
I then saw my mum kind of like pat
you know when you kind of slap someone like oh stop it
yeah
makes me feel weird thing about it
and I looked her and she
like he just tickled my feet.
And I was like, what the fuck do you mean
tickled your feet? And she was like, he just, but she was
pure laughing obviously, she was like, he just tickled my feet.
And I was like, stop doing that. So that
happened. And then for ages, nothing else came
of it, right? Then the pal who did the tickling
went to, and he was a handsome man, by the way.
Like, dressed really nice, silver fox, nice teeth.
What's all by age, would you say? Probably on his 50s,
so maybe like a bit younger than my mum, though.
And they were French.
So he went to the toilet.
So then his pal leaned over and tapped my mum and was like, when I used here till.
And mum was like, oh, it's actually her last night.
Like, what a be good?
At this point, she's thinking there's a couple.
And he then said, oh, like, my friend really likes you.
He wanted to take you out.
But then obviously, like, my mum, every so often, like, kind of like, engaged in a conversation with.
And I was, like, thinking to myself, she's flirting.
I can't even bear to look.
Wait, so did they have a conversation when he came back from the toilet?
Just a wee bit.
But the guy who was the one interested didn't say much.
I think he was shy.
and it turns out that he's just not long separated from someone
so I feel like it's his first like which is a shame
that's holiday yeah
I dread to think it would have happened if my mum's were pals
but yeah exchange numbers or anything no we then what
we then left a few minutes later um
to get the left down and they came as well to get the left down
and I think they just like made a joke but again it was the other guy
yeah okay so I think he was shy and maybe just you know not used to being single
Oh, that's a shame.
But it was actually, it was a nice looking guy to be fair.
Was he?
So my mom was then all giddy, like, I've still got it in our life.
Yeah, she should.
But I thought, everyone does fancy me and everyone fancies her.
It must be an us thing.
It must just be a you thing.
We do look the same.
You look exactly the same?
I'm noticing it more and more, actually.
Well, I saw a picture of you the day.
Where was it? And I thought, it was actually on my phone.
It came off with memories and you look so like your mother.
It's weird, isn't it?
Do you know what it was?
It was a picture of us trying on bras.
Do you remember that?
We're fairly curved?
Yeah.
And there's a picture of you.
I'm glad that.
You look so like your mum.
And nothing gives me the fear more than the pictures people must have of you on their phone, by the way.
Oh my God, so many.
Like the thought of that could end my life.
Facebook ends me every day.
The memories.
No, but I went through that and deleted it all when I was younger.
Did you?
Why?
Yeah, which is a shame.
because it would have been like early 20s thinking like
I'm too cool for like all these picks of me
when I was younger now I don't have anything like that
Oh Zoe
I've got albums upon albums
Of just you make an album from one night out
Yeah I've got bits and bobs but not loads
Like none that we would find funny to look back at now
Do you know what I mean?
I had the fringe that started from one ear to the other
No I did as well
What was that about?
I did
And mine was hard to stay in possession
Because I've got cows like
So it was kind of like a gap in the middle
this cooslick
honestly gave me trouble from day one
Kuzlik
Anyway yeah
Manichesh would absolutely recommend
definitely go to as many rooftops
as you can
Like such good food
Good drinks
Hot Air balloon ride
We also went to
La Jardine
Yeah
Which is the gardens
Which are gorgeous
Nice
Really gorgeous
And then you've also got the
YSL Museum
Just two minutes
Walk down the road
which I think if you're into fashion
definitely go I loved it
amazing
you can it's not like massive
but you can sit in
one of the rooms and watch
a film about him basically
which went through like the years of his career
and showed you like different catwalks
and designs that he made and how he actually started
in the theatre
designed for like ballet and stuff
really interested me
and I loved watching that I learned loads
and it was just interesting
I'll definitely go there then
America sure remember we
you were meant to go last year, I know. I'll try and go next year.
Do you know what? It's one of those places where it's hard to be like,
like I recommend going but I think you just need to go and be quite open-minded.
Yeah. Because at first I thought, oh my fucking God, and no disrespect,
but like it's a shithole here. Yeah. Because it is very like Marrakesh will be nice
when it's finished. Right. Because even like next to Nobu,
across the road, like see when you look out from the, the rooftop,
one angle is like a big
obviously it's all terracotta as well
is that the right word
the colour yeah
all buildings are that colour yeah
so one direction it was loads of buildings
so it looked amazing other directions it was just like a building site
and it's very like that like you're all
you're always one street away from
something nice or something
horrendous yeah
yeah pretty much so I think just be open
minded to that and just like
there's loads of things to consider
like you need to get cash out when you get to the airport
because it's a closed currency.
Okay.
So I don't think you can get it before you go
and you do need to tip.
So in restaurants and stuff, you can use your card
but if you want to tip it needs to be cash.
And then it's expected to leave
like a tip when you leave your hotel
at the end of your stay or your Riyadh.
Taxes.
My Uber wouldn't work with like my Apple pay
so we had to use cash for Uber's.
Yeah, if you go in the hot months
I would just take like a wee fan.
Yeah.
and I wouldn't go expecting to have like
a sunbathing holiday
we lay up at the pool for a couple of hours
one day and then for about half an hour
the next day just because it was in between getting ready
to go out for dinner and stuff
and it was nice but it's not
like I'm not going there to get a tan for a week
do you know what I mean
but I would definitely recommend
and I do think if you're okay being in about
the hustle and bustle and you're not too
like scared walking about at night and stuff like that
then I would stay in a read
because they're still reasonably priced and it feels
like...
They're so cheap, aren't they?
Do you remember that one
we were going to stay at last year?
It was unbelievable.
Yeah.
It just opened or something.
I think we paid about
300 pounds for the one we stayed
and that was for three nights.
Wow.
And breakfast included.
And the breakfast that they bring you
is amazing.
Oh, your picture looks so good.
Like you got a fresh juice,
the peppermint tea
that they do.
If you want it, you get
like yogurt bowl, fruit,
eggs, bread,
pastries, a cake,
like honey jam.
But they're,
They just bring it all to you.
And they position it, like, so symmetrical for each person across that they honestly couldn't do more for you.
And when we were going to get a hot air balloon that day, one of the staff from the Riyadh walked us to the taxi to make sure we got it okay.
Like, they will not let you leave early in the morning or really late in night without someone accompanied me.
Oh, you really sending it to us all those else.
They really look after you, the staff.
And they also gave us a phone when we got to the Riyadh as well.
Like a mobile phone?
Yeah.
To use, to WhatsApp them and stuff if you needed anything.
or if you had to phone taxis and things.
How did you hear of this hotel?
We just found it on booking.com
but I would really recommend it
like it was
it was very traditional but not too much
because some of them I was like
that's giving me itchy
whereas this had like really quite nice
sort of like minimalist rooms
the bathroom is that sort of like concrete way
that was just really nice
but then when you're in the Riyadh
it's still traditional
so I mean
so I would recommend that one actually
It was Gorge
But I think that's my recommendations
I love it, Zoe
we'll list everything that she said in the newsletter
Next month
I'll link where I stayed and everything
So that was my trip
I don't think I've got anything else to tell you
Oh, I do need to tell you something
Remember I was saying I got a hair care
That was meant to help my hair grow
But I couldn't remember what it was called
Yes
I've got the name for you
Tell me right the new
I noted it down so that I could remind you all.
Let me find it.
It's called Hairdreams Stop and Grow Range.
Oh.
So you can get that in head bath.
I think they're the only place that I've got it in store.
And there is actually a more intense range as well that's for actual hair loss and serious thinning.
But I've just got the thickening products.
So it's quite good if you think you're getting thinning or if you've really suffered hair loss.
you could go in and get your scalp looked at
and then get some of those products.
But that was my trip.
Highlight was the hot air balloon.
What was it you do?
Your peak and your pit.
Yeah, what's your pit?
Pit was the monkeys.
Yeah.
And Peak was the hot air balloon.
I think that's totally.
And Nobu though.
Nobu was up there.
What's it?
I really loved it.
Oh, the performers and that?
Yes.
And we thought about staying there
because it was more expensive than I've read,
but not out of this world expensive.
and what I'll say is I'm glad we didn't
because it may go in there for your dinner
feel really nice and special
and actually if you stayed there
you would have just wanted to make the most
of the hotel and not explore that much
do you know what I mean
so I that was me
do you know what I mean
we've got an exciting week ahead
we are going to the Sephora
opening tomorrow
I said to say how the fuck have you been invited to that
I don't know
Peter alert
they're going to they want to prove me wrong
and I'm going to tell you something
You said you didn't like Sephora in Europe.
That's what you said.
No, I'm glad you reminded me of that because that is what I said.
And what I said was the ones that have been there a while
because they're not in these big...
You know the way Zaras are now?
All Sephora's need to kind of upgrade to that sort of like more spacious,
can shop easier layout rather than like, oh my God, there's colours everywhere.
All I can see is black stripes and luminous colours.
Yeah.
They are definitely like that in America.
Whereas I'm going to...
Which, by the way, isn't Europe. I'm fully aware of that.
But American Sephora's are like that.
Yeah, and it's a bit over-stimulating.
Whereas I think the ones that will be opening now
will have this sort of like new shopping format
that will be enjoyable.
Yeah.
Well, in fairness, there hasn't really been Sephora's in the UK.
No.
There's what?
There's a couple in London.
Which we went to, and I didn't hate it at all.
No.
But it didn't have much in it.
Yeah.
So I'm kind of needing a happy.
I went to Sephora in London.
Did I say this on the pod?
And they didn't even sell fake tan.
It made no sense to me.
You did say that.
They didn't sell tan locks.
The one in Westfield.
Yeah.
That's one we went to as well.
Wild to me that.
I really hope they have road in this one
because I am desperate for a new road blusher
and it's sold out.
It's been sold out for weeks.
I just want tan lines and freckle and they're sold out.
What's the one I've got?
Is it freckle?
And I can't get it.
We've both got freckle.
Okay.
freckle then and I'm dabbing my brush like into it
and I'm still getting product off it but I need
it to not ever completely go.
I put my makeup by Mario one in my makeup
bag now that I've had left over but it's
a bit too corally. Yeah we're
used to freckle now. Yeah but I
really want tan lines because I use that in
Barso and it's so nice.
Yeah hopefully they'll have that so we're going to that
tomorrow night
and then we've got a Spotify brunch and Thursday
for the fringe we've got a Spotify
creator breakfast in
Edinburgh
which we're looking forward to
to it and then what we'll do after that
is we should check out the Sephora
in St. Printer's Square
as well and go there
and check out a few nice shops in that.
Is that where that is?
Yeah.
Wow, I've never really thought of that.
And is Alow opened yet?
That's in Moul Trees Walk, is it?
Yeah, but Aloe's coming to Edinburgh
but I don't know.
Yeah, yeah, that's where
like Mulberry and Harvey Nix.
I thought it's cool,
I thought it's called more trees.
It is, I think it is.
But I don't know if that's open yet, is it?
I'm not sure.
I just remember seeing a sign saying it was coming.
I was so overpriced is what I'm going to tell you.
It is ridiculous.
I can't believe the price of it, actually.
And I don't even love the fit of it.
I got the trousers.
I don't love them that much at all.
I do like the trousers and the wee track jacket thing that I got for our event,
but I'm not sure I would rush to buy anything else.
What kills me every time is people thought that we were both.
both in aloe that day.
I know.
And I was in 12-pound Matalan leggings.
That actually hurts.
20-quid track jacket from ASOS.
It's actually hurtful, isn't it?
That's what I mean. It's like, guys, no one gives a shit.
I have wore the trousers today.
I need to shout out Matalan for their leggings.
The hold that they have on the waist is incredible.
That's funny, isn't it?
For leggings.
They are so thick and good and amazing.
I don't need to try them.
You need to, honestly.
And they long are they capis?
I got both.
They do caprice.
Yep.
A few men I just got.
And they do cycling shorts.
That's your thing.
I mean, it's no mine, but good luck to everyone who wears them.
They are really good.
And who was I speaking to when I told them about it?
They were like, oh yeah, it's quite a known thing that Matalan do really good leggings.
I'm like, what the fuck?
Where have I been?
Never heard of it.
Anyway, good old shout out for you.
I actually don't mind Matt Allens, to be fair.
Matelan?
Yeah.
Mattan do great kids wear.
I used to love a trip to Matt Allen when I was younger.
There's a really big one in, um,
Coat Bridge
It's quite a good one.
And wishy.
I'm sure, yeah.
Love to be a trip up there, my mum.
Same.
I'll try and see what I could.
Did you always try and get your mum to buy things?
All the time.
But now that I look back, I'm like,
did I even like it?
Or did I just want the buzz of getting something new?
Which was absolutely that.
And you'd be like, that's nice, isn't it?
Hint, hint, mother.
God, that feels like a lifetime,
go for me, to be fair.
We also went to first.
Forza. We did go to Forza
in Hamilton. Our new local.
Yes. It is beautiful
in there, isn't it? Gorgeous. I did a
mat class. I did a mat
and reformer. So good.
Really good. What I just love
about a voice note to Jess saying this
is that we didn't need to leave 40 minutes
before a class. Felt so good.
Which was really nice.
Because even, I mean,
we love Holistic and Dolmarnock
and I still do. I'm actually going to go after here
to realistic. Well, still go. However,
it's probably about a 20 minute drive
but see with these classes
you need a good 10 minutes to get
like you want to be there
get a mat at the back
get your stuff in the baskets
do you know what I mean
it's just
it's just ideal for us
the South Lanarkshire Galley's at least for sure
at least as an option
exactly not everything neat
because I still love soul
and I will go
I love soul so much
but it's too far
and you have to pay for the parking
it's also quite expensive
but it is without a doubt
the most beautiful studio
in Scotland
I like mixing them up though, but it's nice of one on your doorstep.
I just follow Lucy wherever she goes.
I've got her schedule in my notes up.
It's that hilarious. I just love it.
Do you well?
Yeah.
That's quite a commitment.
Yeah.
I love her that much.
Like, I know her every move.
It's kind of weird.
I know.
And I said to me yesterday when I saw her,
she was like, wow, you really did take my schedule seriously.
I told you, I stalk you.
I go wherever you teach.
There's nothing worse than going to a gym class.
I'm sorry.
when you're paying 20 quid a class and the teacher
it's not quite right.
I'm not saying they're bad, of course they're not bad,
but everyone's got their own different styles
but if you don't get on with their style of way that they teach
and you're just used to somebody also that person knows your body really well,
they know how you move, they know what they can push you to.
When it comes to politeness and reform,
I think it's really important that you have someone really good.
It's really important to find someone to stock.
Correct.
No, I agree with you.
It's no different really to a personal trainer though, really.
You're just choosing to follow where they teach.
like a hairdresser.
Exactly. It's literally no different.
You're choosing to go to the salon they move to.
Do you know what? No one's judging here.
We all love Lucy.
We do.
We all love Lucy.
But yeah, I loved Forza. I will be back.
I will be back there.
But don't all book it up.
I want to get in my classes.
It's quite a big studio though.
Yeah, there's Matt Reformer.
And Hot Matt coming.
And Hot Matt coming.
But I think there's a sauna.
There is a sauna at the back, yeah.
And then you can get coffee and ascibles.
Yes.
Smoothies.
In the lounge area, I quite like that.
Yes.
Got to be morning out.
It's walking distance for me.
Check us out, guys.
Walking distance will I ever walk there?
Probably not.
I don't really know what else I got up to this weekend, to be fair.
Kitchen's finished.
Looks gorgeous.
I guess so we came to it yesterday.
It's so beautiful.
Seating's not finished.
But we're getting there.
Yeah, I've got some fabric samples come in
because I can't make my decision on what I want.
but I think I'm going to go for a print now.
I think definitely.
Just to make it a bit different.
And, you know, if I do change my mind in the future,
I can always upholster it to something different.
You can.
It's an easy job.
I really need to do that.
Yeah.
I can.
But it's looking really beautiful, actually.
And when I walk in there, I'm like, I can't believe this is my kitchen.
The dream kitchen?
Yeah.
It's gorgeous.
Yeah, it's beautiful.
Homely.
Yeah.
I think I've done it nice in the sense that it feels.
it still feels like that old cottage style feel
but with a real modern twist to it
but also mine if that makes sense
like it's still got my bits and bobs in it
that I like from my old kitchen
but it's also got a colour to it
it's got warmth on the walls
like the paint the paint that I've chosen is a neutral
but it's got like a red undertone to it
so it almost feels a bit more cosy
and then I'm bringing it to a more like modernising
it slightly with like the lamps
and then the prints
So yeah, it'll be good.
No, it's lovely. I can't wait to be there
at least once a week.
At least?
At least.
Me and Zoe were talking about doing something
for the podcast called the...
I'm just about to say that and I thought I'll be telling them,
but tell them.
Tell them. The Nook Diaries where we would like to...
Well, that might not be the confirmed name, by the way,
but in my seating nook,
where we just do like an additional sort of mini-sodes,
episodes of just small conversations with friends,
family, we eat something
like somewhere it just feels a bit more vlog style
but in our home but we're still sat doing a
conversation in my gorgeous seating area.
I think that would be so cute.
I do it. Obviously
for YouTube but
I don't know if we do it for Patreon
if we just do it for YouTube only. We'll need to decide
but it could be an occasional thing
and we could have some friends
come join us for dinner
all the friends that you all guys know and love
you know
who knows
we've got a few
few ideas are past leave. We do.
Also, I think something very important to share with everyone is that Jensen says Zoso now.
Oh, sorry, this morning, took him downstairs.
As soon as I opened the stair gate, the first of you went, it was,
Zosu!
Zosu! Because she was here at mine last night, and in his head,
obviously the last person he seen before he went to bed was you.
And he was Zuzzo.
That's how he says it.
He does say it like that, doesn't he?
Love it.
I also spent my Sunday making him a little playroom,
which is cute as tits.
My dark red dining room is now painted neutral.
It's beautiful.
It's completely transformed the whole room,
so it was so dark.
Brained it up.
Boardline Gothic.
And you guys remember we had the,
what was it called that we had?
The wooden shelves in the studio,
which we don't have here anymore.
But I've took that home to utilise it
for like a sort of,
playroom and he loves it.
Well, he spent two seconds in there,
picked up a piece of chalk and drew on my fucking new kitchen walls, mind you.
But then,
at least his toys are away from my living room
that I can kind of try and have a bit of sanctuary to myself.
I honestly think that's the best thing to do.
I think if anyone's got a room,
which I know it's unlikely they've got a room
that's not used for something.
Yeah.
But I think that's the goal is to have a space
that can actually be more where they play
because then you're, let's say, nice rooms
aren't having to be
I know it's part of having kids
and just having a homely environment
I quite enjoy seeing his toys about and stuff
listen it's not
yeah but at least you can put them away there
when the day's ended
or if you're getting people over them
whatever you've got space to put them
right in them lying everywhere
it's just quite nice to have that separation
you know it's so nice
I'm really glad that it's all there
and do you know what else I did as well
I took so many of his toys away
so many well I say chucked
I've put them to the charity shop
and there's so many that I
he doesn't use.
I'm like, what is the point?
It's with children,
and I really notice it's for Jensen, right?
You know, if I give him one toy to play with,
he will be fine for ages.
If I give him, let's say I put five different toys around,
it almost gets so overstimilarating.
It's like, bye, I'd rather just go and play with
the fucking remote or go and play with something
completely irrelevant, like a packet of crisps, right?
But that's because,
this is so funny, because they actually say it about dogs as well,
that they're then just at their disposal,
so they don't care.
Yeah, it's like, whatever.
like, well, I can get the toy whenever I want,
whereas if you make them have like a favourite,
as soon as you pull that out,
they're like, it's like they're on you.
They want it.
That's it.
Yeah.
So I did that and then,
especially things that he's not so much into anymore
and I know he's not going to be into.
Like even the kitchens that he got him on his first birthday,
he's now started to be imaginative with it.
You watched him yesterday.
He's got in the salt and pepper pots and pouring it on a plate.
Oh, I poured you a cup of tea as well.
And I said, made me a tea and he puts the cup under the tap.
And then drinks himself.
And then went, shhack.
aggressively shot, aggressively shot it back.
And this is the sort of things that I'm like,
I'm not going to chuck the kitchen ready just because he didn't like it.
I know that that's more geared towards like two,
three year olds.
It also is for that age.
I said that to even avoid that.
It was more for like two plus, I think.
Exactly.
Yeah.
But he's now massively into cars.
All he says is cars, cars, cars.
So I went on to Vinted that night and I noticed I had like 100,
over 100 quid in my Vinted balance that I just completely forgot about.
I obviously sold some stuff.
So I thought, right, what I'll do is I'll buy him some new toys.
popped in like car toys and shit
and I got him some really nice stuff that
I know he'll love because now I know what he's
sort of like getting into. Yeah.
And you save yourself so much money. The thing that I bought was 20 quid
barely used. It was about 69 quid on flipping Smiths.
That's mad, isn't it?
So definitely check.
You know we're fucking love vintage so much, but...
I mean, the only vented I want is the one that Jilly Isabella's got.
Tell me about it.
Tell you that. But actually you're finding all this shit.
A few minute her. Bitch.
That dress she wore in Ibiza was, well, you said it in the chat,
it's the best, best look she's ever done.
On 15th, how?
Not that I really look on it that often, but I did.
I mean, I would look like an absolute piece of shit in that dress, mind you.
I would look like I was going to the Great Gaspi for a shift.
Like, that's just not something that I could even possibly wear.
But she looked bloody gorgeous.
Let's go into our Dilemmas of the Week, sisters.
Dilemmas of the week, yeah.
Heartbreak dilemma.
Oh, fun.
Hello, Jess and Zoe.
Some post-heartbreak advice needed, please.
My boyfriend of six years came back from a trip home last week to announce that he's leaving me.
Primarily due to a gut feeling he had that the relationship was not right for him.
We've been living together for the last three years and we're in the process of looking to
to purchase, purchase?
We'll start that again.
We've been living together for the last three years
and we're in the process of looking to purchase
our first home together,
including putting our names down for a new bill
plot and visiting a mortgage advisor
the day before his trip home.
Oh.
As you can imagine, this came as quite a shock to me.
I am in a fortunate financial position
that I own a flat in the West End,
which has been rented out for the last three years,
but given the hope, probably just on my side,
that we were going to buy a new home.
I had told the tenant I was selling
and I get the keys back next week.
I am hell of glad that this feeling
of his came out now before Muggins over here
poured into more than double the amount of money
he was going to into the purchase.
Oh, fuck, yep.
This leaves me with a huge dilemma.
What my next steps are,
I can either move back into my old one-bed flat
which I am scared will feel very claustrophobic
after being in a house
or do I continue with my plan to sell?
The flat, right, okay.
If I do sell, I need to decide if I want to stay in a house
in outskirts of Glasgow or perhaps move into a bigger flat in the city
maybe nearer to south side.
Any advice on what you would do in my shoes,
I don't want to rush my decision,
but I also feel I need to rush to avoid paying two-person rent on a house.
Mm-hmm.
So she must rent the house with her partner at the moment
and she would be paying like
yeah yeah okay
again I am fortunate that I almost have
too many options to choose from
and struggling to find the best one for me
where my head is scrambled
also any overall advice on how to love yourself
post breakup the pot has been a well needed
safe space retreat for me this week
lots of love a pod piggy
that's a shame
that would be a total head fuck by the way
wouldn't it like your partner's going away
for the weekend and you're like yay we've just
just went to a mortgage advisor, like things are getting moving
and then they come back and fucking dump you.
I'd really struggle with that.
But I think with him,
how obviously he's feeling is that
it's shit's getting real
and he almost just had to make a decision there and then.
And he's done the night thing.
Oh, totally done the right thing.
That's something that you'll be thankful for down the line
because the last thing you would have wanted
was to buy a bloody new bill together
and then a year in, he's like that.
I've been feeling this for a while.
You'd be like, why the fuck did you let me do that?
We were right, little pickle.
What I would say about the decision
to move back into your old
flat and feeling claustrophobic.
I think you're feeling like that currently
because of the current you
that you are feeling right now
as somebody with somebody in a house.
Yeah.
You have an experience single you
in a one bed
sounds amazing flat
in the West End.
Yeah.
I'm sorry, that sounds like a real
perfect ideal situation for most single
gurgleys.
Absolutely. I agree with that.
It may feel like you're taking an almost
step back, but like you say, that's a really fortunate
position to be in.
and I think you should maybe open up the idea to explore that option a bit more
and maybe not have too much of a fear around it
because I think you'll probably surprise yourself.
I think so as well and you know what?
I actually think moving into a smaller property and it's just you is the better option
because you might feel quite lonely in a big house.
Yeah, just rattling about in there.
And also the memories of you too in there.
I feel like getting rid of that house that you're in with him.
is definitely the right decision.
But even moving into another house,
you might just feel
because you were supposed to move into a house with him.
Yeah.
It might always feel a bit like there should be two of us doing this.
Whereas if you moved back into your flat
that I'm assuming you lived in on your own before anyway,
it's not a step back.
It's just like, to me that's kind of why you've still got it.
Yeah.
It's like, well, if it happens,
I've got a plan.
And I don't know.
If that was to ever happen,
happened to me, my ideal situation would be flat in the west end.
And, but you're in amongst all the buzz of it. You can go for coffees. You can go out for
lunch, like on your own, walk about. You're surrounded by people. Like, why would you want a place
that was kind of out in the outskirts that there's maybe not as much to do? Yeah, totally.
It almost feels like it's meant to be as well with you telling the old tenants that you were,
I know, by the way, you're going to sell. It almost feels not too good to be true, but I feel like
that is definitely the option that you should consider.
It also means you can move back into something you know
when you've already got a lot of change to deal with.
Yeah.
Right?
So you're already having to deal with the breakdown of your six-year relationship,
what you're expecting to happen is now not happening.
I would, if I was you, move into a space that I know and did love
at one point, even if it's just for six months to get yourself back to yourself.
And then if you still want to move, you can move.
Yeah.
selling by in another area.
But if you don't, then you're still in your flat that you're
able to stay in for as long as you want.
And you can absolutely make it your own with all your new furniture
and a new era of life.
Just a new girl pad.
I love it. And I think in terms of your
breakup, I think
you've got to look at it. It's like, it doesn't
sound like it's ended badly.
I could be wrong there, but it sounds like
he's made a decision. He's definitely
made the right decision for whatever his
reasonings are.
you that doesn't matter right now like he obviously felt a type of way yeah had a gut feeling whatever right
but i don't think you should see that relationship as void like that six years is a big part of
your life and you can look back back at it and think like it was great for that season of your life
but you're almost going into a new season now how you look back on that is totally what you do
going forward now, I think. And that would be make the pad your own, go out and socialise,
be with your friends, make sure that you're looking after yourself, getting out for daily walks,
talking to people, consuming things that you love, TV programs, reading good books, self-care,
going out for some nice food, keeping yourself busy. And every single day will get better.
I agree. I think it's so easy when you're not in the situation.
to romanticise like living on your own, doing like a face mask, getting hot chocolate in bed, like all that, right?
When you're not having to do it.
But I think when, if you try and romanticise it in your own head, then it does become enjoyable.
Yeah.
Do you know what I mean?
So I'm now aware of how often I say, do you know what I mean?
Someone commented on it.
Hater's going to hate.
But I think when you do just tell.
yourself that it's enjoyable, it actually does become more enjoyable.
Yeah.
Making yourself a meal, like, that sounds quite nice to me.
But it's because I'm not in the situation.
That's the thing, like, we always do joke and say all the time,
like I love being on my area.
I feel so...
It's not even that you've got to answer to anybody,
but you're almost respecting somebody else's space.
So when they come home, you almost don't want to have your parts lying out
or the stuff that you've not picked up from earlier
or you put the washing away just yet.
Like, you're almost, you're trying to respect
that there's two people living in a household,
you've got to keep it relatively.
You do a kind of answer to each other.
Yeah, of course.
And that nice way.
But then when you are on your own,
you also haven't got to worry about what you're doing.
Like, you haven't got to.
You can just sit and have girl dinners every night if you want to,
my dream, but you don't.
You have to accommodate because you're cooking for somebody else or vice versa.
So going in for a long bath,
they're not having to talk to nobody.
Get the candles on.
Yeah.
Check flex every night.
Yeah, haven't got to listen to football podcast on in the background 24-7.
Yeah.
No noise.
It might not sound appealing now, but it will.
It will, yeah.
One day you'll go home from work or whatever.
You'll wake up one morning and think,
I fucking love this.
And what you have to remember is as well is,
I know it may be a case of that you probably wanted to be in a relationship.
full stop, but that relationship that you were in wasn't right.
It clearly wasn't right. He wasn't happy. You probably weren't that happy.
And if you were moved into this new house, he's probably thinking that wasn't going to fix things.
Yeah, exactly.
So the further you went into it, it would have been harder for you to have got out of it.
So you did the right thing regardless.
So you've got to try and look at it like that, I think.
Okay. I hope that helps, but it'll just be a tough time.
It can't be easy being left, though.
I think there's so many unanswered questions there
that you'll have for somebody I think
when somebody literally dumps you
I feel like I'm quite a strong character
in those situations and that would really fucking kill me
yeah like I would just be like
there has to be a reason
I've just never been dumped I don't think
I don't think I've been dumped since I was young
but then you kind of got back with them
I don't know yeah there was never
like I've not been dumped as an adult
like somebody's come back and be like
I don't want to be personally I'd be like
there's someone else
there would have to be because it's almost like
if I'm completely non-the-wise and it's come as a shock to me
I thought that we could maybe work on this
and you should have had a communication with me and be like
I'm not feeling too happy things want to change
like how can we move forward to make this work
we're about to go and buy a house together
for somebody to put that on me last minute
instantly I'd be like there's somebody else
or he's so caught up in his own emotions
that he just can't speak
and that's how he chooses to
Yeah, lack of communication.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm not saying that he's doing that, by the way.
Obviously, just sounds like that's how he deals with things.
Yeah.
But that's just, that's terrible for you.
Because then you're left in the dark with so many unanswered questions.
Like, have I just been living alive for the past six years?
I think I would actually rather there was someone.
Yeah, same.
Because then it's actually then it's not you.
It's not you.
Yeah.
I know.
But it's really difficult.
Yeah.
It's hard.
But, I mean, you've only given us a brief indication of like how that's ended.
But it sounds to me like it wasn't, it was kind of,
So maybe you can have that closure with him where you can ask those questions and you can move forward from that.
I don't know.
If not, then maybe reach out to him and just say, like, look, I've got a few questions.
But I don't know how your relationship was and if you've got that sort of relationship with each other.
Because some people just go like, guys are really known for just going cold as if you've never known them.
Yeah.
And they start texting you like dead formal and all that.
It's really weird.
Really blunt.
Yeah.
And you just think you did tell me you loved me probably about three days ago.
Isn't it funny that people can go from like lovers to strangers?
I think it's quite terrifying.
It's madness, isn't it?
Mm-hmm.
I do think it's quite scary.
That you could walk by somebody that used to literally shagge each other's brains out and you've just like, meh.
Mm-hmm.
Crazy.
But even though when you think about that, going back to that, it's almost like you forget.
You forgot about that sort of era of your life.
There's only blips of parts of relationships that you really remember.
You don't remember the whole...
No.
And I think once you've moved on with someone else,
it's so hard to remember your relationship before that.
Because as soon as you picture...
As soon as you try and remember what a relationship was like
in my situation anyway, I mean, I know that you do often.
But it's just Jason that picture.
Like, I can't see it out with us
because I've been so used to that for so long.
And then you always look back at it and you're like,
bloody hell, imagine if I would stay with him.
God, thank God for that.
But then the person that's...
And then the person that there was probably then like, oh my God, thank God I've found this guy because the person I was with before, God.
No, I know.
It's almost like everybody's just...
To circle life.
Funny.
We're wise.
Wise.
Funny that.
Right.
Let's do another dilemma.
I just think life's not that deep, you know.
I think about this a lot more than ever.
Maybe it's since I've had a kid.
But I just don't think life's that deep.
I know what you mean?
I'm like, we're only on this earth one time.
He gives a fuck.
I know it's kind of.
of like you do really just need to live your life.
You do really need to zoom out.
You do.
And see you in your heartburn, I know it's hard,
but do not waste six months of your life
over a guy that you weren't enough for.
Do you know what, though?
What I will say about that,
what you're about to say with heartbreak,
I think what we almost forget is the grieving part
and the sad part is part of you becoming the next version of yourself.
Yeah.
I think it's really important to actually have that.
stage. I don't think people should be told
to just don't cry
don't see it in grieve. I think you should
I think because that part is
so important for you to grow
and the moment we all
realise that this is not failure of what you're doing
I think you can move on to be a much stronger
version of yourself and you'll look back and you'll be like
I feel
fucking hundred. Yeah you definitely feel the emotions
I feel a million dollars. Yeah you do
need to feel emotions. Feeling emotions is good
definitely. Don't bottle that up.
No. So don't see it as
I should be out, I should be going on dates.
If that's what you feel comfortable doing in that moment,
then that's just, you just slow and steady wins the race
because then you will meet somebody and you'll feel right,
you'll be in the right frame of mind,
you've done all your work on your inner self that you've needed to do
to go and offer the next person.
Oh, so you don't attract anyone if you're not happy?
Yeah, you don't.
Exactly.
Happiness attracts.
And then all it's going to do is then be a domino effect.
It's the next person, the next person,
because you're also holding on this resentment
and whatever, let's say
you lack trust in an old relationship
and you carry that into your next relationship.
You need that time on your own.
It's so important, I think.
I agree with you.
I think that's why people judge people who move on too quickly
and it's not a judgment of the person
it's just the worry that they're putting their needs
instantly into someone else
rather than knowing what it's like to be alone.
Yeah.
And actually enjoying it maybe to an extent.
so there you go
advice girls please
my boyfriend and I are going through a dry spell
we've not slept together or done anything intimate
pretty much in almost two months
sounds pretty average to me
I do try to initiate and he will brush me off
with a later or stop it at kissing
he's affectionate and does like to cuddle and kiss
and does make the effort to spend time together
this wasn't an issue before and I'd say
say over the course of the past few months it's just slowly started to dwindle until it's now
at this point. My toxic brain is telling me he's not attracted to me anymore. He must not be
getting anything from it or he's cheating on me. The list goes on. I finally got the balls to say
to him about it today and he's assured me there's nothing wrong. It's not any of the above and he has
genuinely not realised it's been that long. If anything, that's just made me think worse and my toxic
thoughts even more because why wouldn't he have thought about it? Please tell me,
if you think there's something in what I'm thinking
or if you think I should trust him and believe what you're saying
and hope it's something that we can work on together.
Thank you.
Right.
I think you're absolutely valid to think what you've been thinking
if that's what's not normal to you in your relationship.
I agree.
And I think you should trust him.
I think you should take his word for what he said
until it continues, if it continues.
because he may be honest,
he may be telling the truth
and be like, you know what, I didn't notice that.
I've just been having a few off days.
However, the one thing that I can't get my head around is
and maybe that's just because of the relationship that I'm in,
but I couldn't imagine trying it on and being brushed off.
Same.
And I know not everyone's like that right,
because to be fair, to Rich, he'll try it on with me
and I do brush him off sometimes
because I'm just caught involved.
And I don't.
And I don't think that's right on my side either
But if I'm not feeling it, I'm not feeling it
So
And I don't think anyone should do something
When they're not feeling it, I feel quite strongly about that
Agree, of course
Because I know a lot of girls that feel
It's almost like a bit of a duty to do that with your man
And I am not that person, I don't...
Me neither.
If I'm not feeling it, I don't want to do it.
If I'm not feeling it or you piss me off earlier, whatever
and you try, I be like, you can try again in our time.
I'm so, I agree on you that, Zoe.
It's like if you've had a disagreement, I'm like,
I'm not sleeping with you, mate.
No, you're annoyed me and I'm still annoyed about it.
I'm not saying that we're in a row.
Yeah, I'm not carrying it on, but I don't feel like shagging you, I'm afraid.
Correct.
End of story.
But I do think, and this is terrible to say, but it's the truth,
I do think it's very unusual for the guy to not be up for it.
They just have a higher sex drive.
They just do.
Yeah.
And I think I would feel the exact same as this girl,
and I would worry that there was something going on.
Yeah. And I don't know what to advise you of.
Yeah, same because of course I'm going to then instantly think,
oh my God, he doesn't fancy me anymore. I'm not doing it for him.
And then almost when you put that question out there to them,
is then going to be a little bit awkward the first time you do do it?
Because it's like someone's just trying for the sake of trying here.
Yeah. So I think you've done the right thing in bringing it up 100%.
Yeah, because he now knows that he's making it all.
Whatever he's doing, whether it's intentional or unintentional,
it's now obvious to you and he's aware of that.
Yeah.
And you'll know in your gut feeling of his reaction
if you felt like it was genuine or not.
Mm-hmm.
So I would assess the situation.
I would maybe,
I maybe wouldn't try it if I were you.
I actually probably wouldn't at this point now
because you've said to him,
I don't want to be knocked back again now.
So I'm, the ball was in your court, mate.
Agree, yeah.
So I think leave it up to him
and then if it doesn't persist,
then I'd be asking more questions.
Me too.
I'd be in doing some investigating.
To be honest, I would.
Especially if that's not what you were like.
Yeah, I think you know if it's unusual or not.
I wonder how long you've been in a relationship for?
Like, how long has this, like, has it been a 10-year relationship when it's just started?
Or has it been a year and the first six months during your honeymoon period?
And now it's sort of like just normal average relationship.
Yeah.
I think it's everyone's circumstances as well, like schedules, interests, when you're at work, when you're not.
have you get kids, have you get fucking dogs.
Yeah.
Like all of that plays a part in it.
So it's very couple dependent.
I think I'm a sexually active person in the day.
Jason calls it afternoon delight.
Do you like a bit of that?
Yeah.
I would be way more revved up to it for that for that.
And morning.
I don't do it in that morning because I do think it's a bit like,
ugh, breath.
But especially when you've had a drink.
The next day.
Oh.
Yeah.
Everything just feels nicer.
I'm just too much
You're sensitive
You're not into that
You know me
I don't like breath and things
No I know but you don't need to kiss
No I know but
The morning
Yeah I'm not sure the morning does it for me
And then what
Afternoon delight sounds delightful
I'm okay with that
Depending on
Time and commitments
Yeah what you're doing
Because as a woman
if you're all ready for the day
or you've been to the gym
like if I've come back from the gym
no
don't touch me
and he loves it
the problem with afternoon delight
for me is
afternoon delight
is
as a title of today's episode
I need to be
I need to have been like
dressed and showered so that I feel nice
but I also don't want to feel ming
after being dressed and showered
do you know what I mean
but that's just because I'm such a like
I don't know I'm just picky
with things like that
so that's my only issue with that
honestly the perfect scenario for me is in the shower
because you're also getting cleaned
before and after
yeah true true true true
there's no germs to be shared
although a bit of a water infection
I love with that day's day
maybe that's why
maybe that's why
but yeah I think if I was this girl
I don't know that I would be trying anymore.
I think you're leaving it.
I think what we're doing here is leaving it in his,
the ball's in his court.
If he doesn't try within,
I mean, if someone had that conversation with me,
I'd be trying probably the next day
or the day after maybe to give it a bit of a buffer of awkwardness.
I'm no waiting a week or two weeks.
So I think you honestly give...
You mean, if someone had questioned you, yeah.
If I was him and I was genuinely just like,
fuck, I can't believe it's been that long,
I would be trying within two days.
Yeah.
But also, let's just remember, like,
he may have had something going on in the past month or two
that might be something completely irrelevant
where it is making him not feel sexually active.
Like, maybe have a conversation saying,
is everything okay at work?
Is everything okay upstairs?
Like, let's talk it out.
If there's something that's making you feel like when you're at night,
you're not up for having sex,
it's a lasting on your mind.
Maybe just have that chat with him.
Like, as your mind is.
mind elsewhere. Yeah, just in case. Like it's not always just about another woman or he doesn't
fancy me. Maybe there's something else that he's going through. But that's what I mean, like,
once you've had that conversation and he assures you, yeah, it's nothing to do with you and he does
still want to do that and he does still fancy, blah, blah, blah. If he then doesn't try within a few
days, I'd be worrying. I'd be asking a few questions. Because I think once you've made someone, like,
I'm not the most affectionate in terms of genuine, just touching as you brush by and the
house or cuddling up or whatever and if that's ever voiced I'm like oh fuck like I forgot to do that
because it doesn't come as naturally to me so it's a love language that I need to work on
yeah when it's important to somebody else yeah so that will happen with people so once you've
made someone aware of that it's up to them to respect you enough to show it if they care about you
yeah and if he then doesn't do that then I'm afraid I'd be getting the phone out
Yeah, I was going to say.
I hate to encourage that.
Check the receipts.
But if you're getting nothing from him, I think, what's your option?
What has your option?
We'll leave you with that.
So we'll leave you there, guys.
If we don't see, we see you on Friday.
We're going to do another vlog special this Friday.
For all of our patron girlies, we're going to vlog our Sephora visit.
We're going to vlog our trip to Edinburgh.
Yep.
And Friday, all the girls coming over to mine for our friend's baby shower,
so I'll give you a sneak peek of the kitchen, lucky year.
And Saturday, we've got our Patreon event at Holistic Warehouse,
which would also vlog.
So we'll do like a weekly vlog.
Spanned the week with us for our side dish this Friday.
See you over there.
We've actually had lots of new Patreon Piggy's joiners.
We love to see it.
Thank you so much.
Honestly, we cannot do this podcast without the support from people over.
from Patreon, like, hand on heart, you would not have the main episode if it wasn't for
the girlies and the girlies over there.
We need to pay mills.
We really appreciate it. It's very expensive to win a podcast.
Okay, we love you so much and we'll see you on Friday, if not we'll see you for a
windy.
See you next Tuesday.
Bye.
Bye.
