Starting point is 00:00:00 Happy Tuesday, poor piggyies. We hope you had a gorgeous week. The sun is shining. The weather is sweeter. That's good. Sing it. That was good. Make you want a move.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Yeah. Dancing feet. Anyway, welcome back to the best podcast in the world. Duh. With me, Jessica. Stop doing that. And me, Zoe. Zoe.
Starting point is 00:00:27 A wee froggy in my throat. You have a froggy in my throat. I did. Why? Because you don't like saying your name? Yeah. It's a weird name to say in a Scottish accent. I love it. Zoe. Just say Zozo. No. One day we're going to do it where you just say all your nicknames that I've given you
Starting point is 00:00:42 through the four seasons. Yeah, we need to make a clip of you saying them all. Zozle? Zoso. Zosy pop. Anyway, let's begin with our More flowers of the week. Thank you so. mud. Thank you so mud. Mud. When I listen back to that, I can't
Starting point is 00:01:04 actually believe I didn't say that. It's very clever of you unintentionally. So we have some gorgeous tropical cymbidium orchids this week. Wow. Can you all see that on the YouTube? Gorgeous. Thank you. Do you know what I'll say
Starting point is 00:01:19 like one, there's only three stems in there? Oh wow, very full. The green is separate but on one stem there's like six or Rockets. Brilliant. They are gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:01:34 I've noticed that the, my blossom tree in my garden is, is blossomed. Spring is officially here, yeah, pink. Cute. My hanging baskets, the flowers are back. Gorgeous. It's a good time of year. Yeah. And the weather's been good recently as well over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:01:50 It was nice. Beautiful. Talking to YouTube, why are you watching and not subscribing? Make it make sense. talking to you and you you Marie Marie was actually our first subscriber
Starting point is 00:02:06 to be fair now we're joking but we hit 700 subscribers on YouTube which is fantastic but please please please not that I have a fucking clue what it means like why do people say that because what does it even mean? No but I think it the more it's the same when you ask
Starting point is 00:02:23 people to rate the podcast I think the more traction that you've got the platforms would maybe put you out on the algorithm better yeah potentially anyway if you could please just press that little bell button that's that one it is ding or followers on instagram at a lot on your plate pod or raters on apple podcast or just rate five star on Spotify you know what we've got a gorgeous five star rating on that and that's pretty rare for Spotify by the way just be a sound person that's all we're asking um so yeah thank you i thought i'd just get that in there and
Starting point is 00:02:59 If you really do lovers, you could have joined Patreon. Where Side Dish is and our monthly specials and our group chat with all our gorgeous piggy-wiggy-wooes. We're like best friends, our family. Besties. Right. We've had a little bit of a studio refresh again if you're watching on YouTube. We like to switch up the prints now and again. We've got a few new ones.
Starting point is 00:03:21 We've got a Pekante, our favourite cookie wiki. If you know, you know. And we've got this gorgeous print here in the corner behind me. I think you can maybe see it, spill the T-Sysis. We actually ordered that before we started this new studio. We did. It took us ages to get it printed. But can I just do a little shout out right to a small business called Bell Printers in Hamilton?
Starting point is 00:03:41 Right near where does I live, South Atlantic Shire. All the good stuff. We got quoted an obscene amount of money from a lot of... That one plant, that one large print. Popular printers in Glasgow. Anyway, Google printers where I live. Bell printers came up. I just need to give a shout out to Barbara.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Barbara, honey, like, I love you so much. And she was just constantly ringing me, telling me my prints were ready. Seven pounds, she charged me for five different prints. And when I got the prints, not only did she give me one, she gave me four. So I gave you some new ones for your kitchen. I've got them for my kitchen and the studio.
Starting point is 00:04:16 So if you ever buy anything off Etsy, is my point, or you're a company, you want to get flyers printed, posters, business cards. I don't know, what else do you get printed at printers? Fucking hono. Poster for your kids' bedrooms. go and ring bell printers asked for lovely Barbara
Starting point is 00:04:31 she even called me yesterday and says Jess I'm leaving here just to go and see my daughter or something would you like me to drop it off do you live in Udingston and I was like what a fucking service that is a good service lovely woman anyway there you go also
Starting point is 00:04:43 I would like people to comment if they notice the pig each week where is the pig it's like where's Wally yeah I mean he's there quite obviously seen today in the mushroom God bless We're how many episodes in, 11?
Starting point is 00:04:59 11. Oh, that's a 12. Yeah, and apparently, well, if you, that's 24 if you include side dish, and we've got the few months special, so let's say 26. And every single episode, done it. Exhausted. Every single episode, the producers hide the pig,
Starting point is 00:05:20 and we didn't even know until about three episodes ago. And we really couldn't find him, could we? It's not even getting a shout out, and he's been here all along. What did we call him again? Paddy. I thought is it? Paul. Paul? Paul the pig.
Starting point is 00:05:37 No, I think it was Paddy, but I think I prefer Patrick. Yeah. Like the full for bang. So. Anyway, let's get into us, but I swore. So we went to Godshot. A very edgy cafe, which we've mentioned before. Turns out I've been.
Starting point is 00:05:55 I didn't think I had, but have. There's no edgy. place I've not been you see it yeah super edgy anyway we got matches I got a strawberry matcher you got a what I got the coconut mango matcher the new one that they put on the Instagram recently I love it here guys but Zoe the annoying part is now we've got this beautiful matcher and we it has been sat in this for about an hour so the ice will have melted so I hope that you love it I know but stare it well and we also got some of iconic macaroons because it's like a French patisserie slash Japanese inspired
Starting point is 00:06:31 cafe with unbelievable fragrances by the way I said that before and I've sprayed one and means I'm obsessed but Marie told me I smelled like an old lady so that's fantastic how do I get a good I need to get a lid off to get a good stir is all the stuff meant to just set at the bottom well I just mix it up a bit oh see I love I just don't know if you're not having a good time at the first sip you might be like what the hell yeah that is quite nice actually I think I would definitely need a flavour though yeah for sure like like that's got the strawberry because I feel like matcha I'm pretty certain match it is like the extreme version of green tea that's what
Starting point is 00:07:11 I was going as very green tea like it's like the proper powdered version of a green tea I could be wrong but I'm I'm certain it's from the same tea family I don't know thoughts and good for you as well I mean I know that a lot of them are full of sugar but that's proper syrup in there and then it's just oatmeal or coconut milk I'll be honest I don't think I would order it again okay love the honesty
Starting point is 00:07:35 we've also got a miso caramel macaroni macaroon oh I just love this okay oh no is that not nice no it's not that's not nice I didn't expect the sesame seeds on that Mmm.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Quite savoury. Then we've got a matcha one. You know what I mean by that? Mm-hmm. It's like a sesame bun. No, that's pistachio and raspberry. Mmm. Oh, fucking that's good.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Mmm. Oh! Guys, look at that in the camera. Crembroulet. macaroom right use a bit of that pistachio and raspberry one I'm pig oh that one's good I wonder if that girl's listened to our podcast that hated us because we ate in the microphone hi hen oh my god that is so good that that um Crembride one and we've also got another another spit as well Murray's gorgeous wife
Starting point is 00:08:52 She did, yeah. So what is it? How sweet is that? She made Spanacopata, which is a Greek dish. It's basically filal pastry with spinach traditionally, so she's made you a spinach one and a crab one. Crab? Crab? Oh my god. I love crab. I love crab too. Oh, wow. It's good texture. Mmm. I love crab. Use a bite. Right, let me try a bit of this.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Imagine that would be gorgeous at the oven. Mmm. That's well nice, by the way. By the way. That's sweet. Yeah, sweet. hmm wait so my wife is American and this is one of her favorite dishes but they don't have them here so she makes it home herself that's one of the best things I've ever
Starting point is 00:09:54 eaten oh my god yeah mm hmm pass that what should be right now oh my god if I sweet cheesy never tried anything like that before it's like a cheesecake How nice is that? Right then. That was so nice. We would like to just address, if anybody listens to this podcast on Spotify, what the fucking fucking fucking fuck are the foreign adverts all about, please?
Starting point is 00:10:25 We don't know why that's happening, and there's no, we've not worked out yet, how to stop it. Because I listened to it and it was like, Jean-O-Gun, blah, blah. French? No, I think it was some sort of sketches advert or something. Is it a friend?
Starting point is 00:10:42 language panels but that's just so we spoke to our podcast hosting platform because it's not any different if you listen to it on Apple podcast I believe or YouTube but on Spotify it's just that so we don't know if it's an issue with Spotify
Starting point is 00:10:56 but we tried to speak to our platforming people and they said that it's that it's not really their issue so it's a Spotify issue so anyway if anyone knows anything about that let us know or because we don't know how to change it but I don't know if it's from our end or Spotify basically or just enjoy and get your jewel and guap out you don't know exactly get
Starting point is 00:11:16 that how you're on your strides um so I think that's all we need to shout out for the start of this episode we went boxing we went boxing today right last week we were rusty rusty rusty this week this week we were isn't it Krusty the yeah but I changed it up Christy the clown yeah I'm unsure Right. Anyway... Remember when we called a sponge bob? A squirrel?
Starting point is 00:11:50 A squibber and a cat? We had a lot of angry people in the DMs like, what? That's one of the things that if you were watching a list and you would have thought, how the fuck have you got that wrong? I know, we're just stupid sometimes. Anyway, we went today and we were professionals. We were on fire today.
Starting point is 00:12:05 We were like fucking really fast, like, poop, pooh, pooh. And he said, he invited us into a boxing class on Saturday. So we speak about boxing quite a lot because it's what we do religiously before we record on a Wednesday But Mark has now officially opened And it's 90s, I think we did say that But it's 90s as the word, not the numbers. It's based just off Ashton Lane
Starting point is 00:12:25 And yeah, they are He is doing classes now So we're going to go on Saturday with some of our friends, aren't we? Yeah. So we pay him 40 pound every week, so 20 pound each. So we think it's not so bad when you're halving it And it's something that we really do love. I know that's expensive
Starting point is 00:12:41 like one to one PT session well one to two but you know what I mean yeah it's just us but I'm just looking now a class on its own I believe's 15 pounds okay for
Starting point is 00:12:53 one group you can get a month of membership so it's 55 pounds a month for one group class a week so you get five a month yeah so that works out less than 15 pounds per class perfect 1250 I believe
Starting point is 00:13:09 that's good Or you can pay one for 80 and it's two classes per week so you get eight a month. Yeah. It's hard, you know, guys, but in a really fun way and the music's great. So we really recommend it and a lot of you, a lot of you have messengers since we speak about boxing, about boxing gyms in Edinburgh. Have we said this before on the podcast? Not sure. So many people messages like, please let us know if there's places where you go in Edinburgh.
Starting point is 00:13:31 We asked Mark and he doesn't know. He doesn't know the answer. He doesn't think it exists. I think because a lot of them are like, like spit and sordis type. Yeah, like professional. You're going to train to fight, but not a boutique. But we're just going for like the exercise and fun element.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Yeah. But anyway, who knows? There's a gap in the market, for sure. And whilst we're on the subject of money, we have a very exciting guest coming on next week, which we're so excited about. We kind of touched on the whole financial advisor side of things, and we know that can seem as a, what would you say?
Starting point is 00:14:08 Privileged. some people. Yeah, like an added extra or maybe, yeah, privilege or you'd think you'd already need money to have something like that, which is true to some extent. But yeah, we've got a very exciting person coming on in the podcast who I've been following on Instagram for quite a while now. Her name is Chloe. You might have followed on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:14:30 She does lots of deals and very good money saving tips. So interesting. So if you have any questions on ways to say. money and ways to better things like travelling um just just jane a weekly shopping i think advantage cards uh air miles things like that any sort of things and tips to get things cheaper and benefit from your shopping habits yeah she is your girl so we're going to grill her so anyway i'm saying this now so you can get in and send the questions um chloe's deal club is what she is called on Instagram if you want to go and check it out.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Let me just double-check that before I say that is her Instagram handle. Yeah, at Chloe's Deal Club on Instagram. If you want to go and check her out on Insta, she was on this morning. Good fucking honour. Just last month with Alison and... What's his name again?
Starting point is 00:15:28 Therment. Derbett O'Leary, yeah. She's absolutely flying, by the way. Good honour. Obsessed. Anyway, yeah. So that's what we got to look forward to. Love it, can you wait?
Starting point is 00:15:39 Anyway, what's been a lot on your platey plate? Went to Berlin. How was that? Good, actually. We went for the weekend. The weather was shit. Really? Yeah, the first day.
Starting point is 00:15:55 So about rotten? So I planned some lovely things that were outside, and that were into the plan. But aside from that, yeah, I really enjoyed it. There was 10 of us that went, we went to do high rock. rocks. We did really well. I was really happy with my time. I got with Rebecca. She smashed it, bless her for her first one. And it was on an old airport runway, Templehof, which obviously isn't active, but they had all the World War II sort of planes on the runway. It was so cool.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I was really interested in that. When I walked up, I thought, Jesus Christ, this is so cool. And for anyone that has done hierarchs before or knows about it. It's an indoor running event and it's different stations, but this was the first time it was outside. So there's a lot of people that were angry about it, but, and people cancelled it. And I think they must be really regretting that now because it worked out fine. The weather was great. I actually enjoyed running out on the outside. It was not quite nice having for this year. Yeah. And all the stations in between were underneath a sheltered roof. Um, Richard did it with Matthew. He got under an hour,
Starting point is 00:17:02 which is what he wanted. He's really happy. He's, He doesn't love high rocks. He's a crossfitter, but he wanted to do that for his partner, Matthew. He really wanted to get a sub one hour and they smashed it. It was so good to watch them. I love that for them. And I know I said I wanted sub one out 110, and I do think it would have been possible. But because I felt really good.
Starting point is 00:17:20 I can't explain it. I just felt extremely fit. The runs felt good. Don't get me wrong. It's hard. But this is the first time I'd done the open workout, the open category, before I'd done like the heavier weights. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:33 So that's lighter. Yeah, the women's open is lighter. And pushing that sled for me, I was sprinting with it because I'm only ever used to pushing it heavy. Yeah. So I felt great. And then Rebecca was amazing on all the stations. But I think for her, she was like, fucking out.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Like, this is hard because it was her first one. Yeah. And the runs just maybe slowed us down slightly for what we wanted. But to say that you got under one hour 15 for your first high rocks or even just completing it is unreal. A good achievement to have. But I think for her, like, she's, spare of mind, she'd never even done a wall ball or a fucking weighted lunch until two, three months ago.
Starting point is 00:18:14 And she's now smashing it. She's always at the gym. She looks incredible. She's got abs. She's got a six-pack. She has a six-pack. She ran a half marathon in sub-two hours. Like, she's honestly, Rebecca, too I speak about a lot on this podcast.
Starting point is 00:18:28 But she, yeah, she's, honestly, I'm so proud of her for doing it. And I think. She's the picture of health and fitness for me. She's got the bug, she looks fantastic, and I was really proud of her for doing it, and I was so glad that I did it with her. But, yeah, like I say, I felt great, and if I did it again, which I thought I wouldn't, but now I'm happy but not satisfied. So I might do it again.
Starting point is 00:18:49 I might do it again next year. That's good. When will this end? It's not going to. Performance goals, Zoe. Now I've done that. Now what's my next thing? You've got half marathon.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Yeah, it's ages away. What are you going to do in between? You've got summer, just enjoy your summer, come on. How am I not enjoying my summer? By working out. All these fucking goals and all that, see this shit. Yeah, but Zoe, this is what keeps me exercising. Right, come on, you know this.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Anyway. So, eat any nice food? Yeah, loads. I didn't stop eating, guys. I did not fucking stop eating gabs. Non-stop. Pistachio quassant. Pistachio ice cream.
Starting point is 00:19:32 and it's a really nice brunch place called Frustruck 3,000 best place I've been had one of the most incredible cheese toasties which I'm going to recreate Watch their space Huh? Yeah I'm going to do a little breakdown
Starting point is 00:19:51 of all my places that I've done I was trying to edit a video yesterday but there was just so many that we went because you know what I'm like once I'm travelling I have to visit everywhere Even if it's just a waste to go somewhere and not go at the places you want so you need your train for that end
Starting point is 00:20:05 yeah I said to the guys I was like can we just go and just tick off at least five cafes they're like what and get something in each I was like yes like I want to go and get a small pastry in every single one you can manage that yeah oh we did fine even if one person got one and then I got one the other we'd just take a bite of it
Starting point is 00:20:21 um get a fuel for the place and my friends are quite good like that so we all did that so I managed to tick off loads and get pictures for everyone because this is obviously my job as well and I know I don't get paid for the travel aspect of it but I really enjoy it. And for me to be able to give people tips when I travel, I have to physically visit them.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Absolutely. And the girls went a day before me, and there was about three places that I really wanted to go, like, restaurant-wise, and I knew I wouldn't fit them in physically. So I got them to go for me, and they're quite strong critiques. So they've gone and give her feedback.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Yeah. I suppose Rebecca has really aren't her food as well, aren't she? Well, yeah, she knows what's good and what's not. She takes great pictures. So I was like, you go and do that for me. and then take a few off yeah amazing and nails to tell us about your weekend um my weekend let me have a little look on my notes actually berlin was your weekend oh yeah um i think berlin is quite it's not my favourite city break i think you said that before no i don't like at all
Starting point is 00:21:30 It's quite eerie. I also think everything's far apart. Zoe. Like there's not a centre. It's, I spent a fortune on Uber's. Yeah, everything is just like its own thing somewhere. Do you know what I mean? And they say, oh, the rail, the trains are really good to be fair.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Like, to get for me to be. But it's long. I just might as well just get an Uber. Yeah. Tell you another thing actually that we should just speak about. full high rocks i bought some new trainers i bought some sikoni trainers oh yeah i said last week me and zoe went to athletes foot after achilles heel and um i bought we did a great expedience on there by the way they were lovely there weren't they those guys that's a really good time another
Starting point is 00:22:19 edgy shop um so i got the sikoni endorphins really loved them by the way great speed shoe if you're into that and then zoe i had treated myself for my running journey that is not a started. I got Ons. Oh, N, one. But what I'll tell you is moving in, and I said to the guy, I need to go on that machine, that treadmill thing, which quite wanted to do. But he was like, no, just take your shoes off, jeans rolled up so I can see your ankle movements and just walk up and down the shop. So that was my catwalk moment, first and last. And he watched my feet, and then he said to me, is there any like trainer-wise? And I was like, well, I quite like the but like just whatever you think he brought me out a white pair of ons with green and gold on
Starting point is 00:23:04 them like a sage green weren't they they were well nice if that was me as a trainer he got it perfect so I just took them I went all of them they're so cool if anyone doesn't know what they are they're the ones with like the little holes in the soul soul I have worn them three times now I think running and they are really comfy like one of my foot still aching a wee bit but I think I just need to break them in and get used to them yeah I think that's also I've not really great feat I don't think a bit of a bunion going on oh yeah you say that right yeah and they're quite wide
Starting point is 00:23:34 anyway we did an experience there yeah I really recommend going there then we went to make up for the time we didn't go because I crashed car fucking hell that's still going on by the way saga the saga continues and what about your week in well I feel like I was about here there and everywhere
Starting point is 00:23:53 but it was a lovely host on weekend yeah my friend Abby who lives in London was up and on the Friday night we went for spontaneous drinks just to angels out in the sun quite a nice night, me, her and Lindsay and then had quite a lot of apparel but wasn't drunk, wasn't hung over like it was just nice, just what you did.
Starting point is 00:24:13 It was absolutely ravenous because I handed dinner and I thought I am not going against something bad I'm not doing it so I went home and had a bagel thin toasted quite miserable but it's all I done Anyway, Saturday we'd book brunch at Ziques I do think they've got a lot of good options in the menu
Starting point is 00:24:33 I love Ziques Yeah, we couldn't decide But you know what I got which I'd never had before The Potato Spravus one You had that? Yum, yeah, it's amazing gorgeous And can I just say
Starting point is 00:24:43 One of the best coffee out lattes we've ever had You're right actually I didn't get a coffee in Saturday because obviously I drank decaf Because my heart can't handle it But I thought I don't need that I'll just get a wee juice today
Starting point is 00:24:56 Because it was later Get an apple juice. No, I actually just got a cold zero. Oh, forget about apple juice sometimes. I'm still struggling with the juice. Oh, I. Like popping, diluting shit. Anyway, so we went there for brunch.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Then we went to Plant Blonde, get a wee empire. She's now opened a cafe bit. Oh, has she? Yep, so it was the first day, so she had a DJ playing. Stop. Yep, and she had filtered coffee. Yum. Like, it was just...
Starting point is 00:25:25 Yeah. The girls tried it, and they said, it was more like tea and then she was saying the owner was saying that she drinks that and feels like almost like what feels good about being drunk oh and I was like it sounds like you're smoking weed she was I know that's kind of what it feels like it just gives you that good like calming sensation this is coffee what is it I think it's just a CBD coffee or something no it's not but I think it's just because it's not got added shit in it right it's felt or not just when it's actually just like the coffee from the bean it's
Starting point is 00:25:55 just like an americano i have absolutely no idea right i don't know anyway they said it was nice then i just went a wander around the west end for a couple hours sat um in the beer garden at courtiers coattiers coattiers coattiers coteers unsure but it's next to zeeks anyway and when we were leaving there i just need to get this up so i remember when we were leaving there we walked there was a wedding on right yeah and we were like watching all the guests that coming in and we kept like we're like we're fucking bride like we want to see the bride yeah um so then we hadn't so eventually we did see her right so they went back around to like the front of the building to get the pictures and stuff so we were walking by to get into the car and then what are you gonna say there's
Starting point is 00:26:39 Zoe from a lot on your plate shut up the bride the bride shouted in the middle of her pictures and i'm not joking we were outside the building add a cap on and i was like what and then she was like it's away from a lot on your plate and I was like oh congratulations anyway if you're listening you are the bride that got married on the 20th of April honey congratulations to you wow that is honestly brilliant did all the guests turn around a look yeah they were all just kind of like because it was like over a quite a high fence so you were kind of seen me through the fence I imagine so I was just kind of like waving like hi and then I was just like congratulations God I
Starting point is 00:27:22 Famous, honey. I know, famous, honey. You just, I'm trying to, I'm like, what's the word I'm looking for? I'm undercover with my cap on, like, no fans today, please, like no PAPS. No pictures, please. And it's just, you just can't help it. You just get spotted at all. I went to a gym class, that's right, right.
Starting point is 00:27:38 And I walked in and my friend was there, so I went to speak, spoke to her. And as I walked in and sat down, this girl opposite me, I was chatting about somebody else in the gym. And then she joined in and she went, I'm sorry, but I just, I can't just have a conversation with you and just pretend like I don't make your food. don't make you food all the time and I was like oh hi blah blah so anyway went into the class two of the girls standing with my friend and one of them went you can't just walk in here and pretend you just nobody and I was like a bit taken back like what and she went you can't just walk in here for your first time in your gym and just pretend that you're not just just just food I was like I don't know what you're talking about what you meant to do like hi
Starting point is 00:28:12 jjif has arrived she was obviously only giving me banter she was lovely to be fair but um I was like, I am just a normal person now. Absolutely. I just want to come and get a sweat on. I still go every night home every night and put my Disney jammies on and like cozy up. Do you what I mean? Like, it's not. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:31 It's not a fan's lifestyle. But, you love that for us. Yeah, so a nice weekend. Sunday I went to an aesthetics club event, the place that we get hydrophacials, Botox, etc. They were doing like a wee skin and styling event and crews in that new personal shopping bit. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:49 That nice area. So I went to that, took my friend Abbey with me as well, pastries, mimosas, and then they had someone getting a facial whilst Fiona, the owner of the aesthetics club, was talking through each step, what products, use, how to layer them, blah, blah, blah. It was very educational. She's great, isn't you? Like, I feel like I know about that stuff.
Starting point is 00:29:08 But see, when you kind of strip it back to basics, I forget. Yeah. Like orders of things and all that, do you know what I mean? So got that, they were doing express facials there, like fast facials. my makeup, all that. Yeah, it's probably off. And then I ended up going to still go for lunch after it anyway. So they wanted a lovely weekend then.
Starting point is 00:29:26 I like did everything you want to do in a wholesome weekend, I would say. Um, so anyway got some new products. I was telling you about it. So I've now started using skin cyticals. Rich gang. Can't hide money. It was a sample in the good rag. Um, H.A. Serum, which is a chyloronic acid serum.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Yeah. I've, with back in age, five years. And then the vitamin C in the morning. We were saying it smells. But I think they're two good products so I'll come back to you. The H.J. is one of the best chloronic acids on the market but it's just
Starting point is 00:30:01 expensive. Yeah, it is. But for the last three days I've been using them and my routine and you love it. I think I look perfect. Yeah, you do look perfect. Glowy. Yeah. I also, since we last spoke, moved out in my office. Oh yes.
Starting point is 00:30:18 How has it been? Professional. Do you know what it is? Getting up, I'm getting ready and get the train in. I'm like wide awake. World's my oyster and it's 9 a.m. Usually I'm still in bed sleeping. Do you get off at our girl street? Yeah, off at a girl street.
Starting point is 00:30:33 It's literally not even five minute walk along the road. It's perfect. Oh yeah, of course, yeah. And you pass the same thing is Anotesco in the way, so you need to be breakfast. You're not prepared, you know. But see when I'm in there, see when you walk by someone, obviously you're just like, hiya, morning. I'm like, that's what I missed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:49 I'm a human interaction which could surprise some people but I'm not needing to have a conversation it's just a ha'ya ha ya like that's enough do you know what I mean and then when I'm sitting in the office I'm looking out and I'm seeing like the hustle and bustle
Starting point is 00:31:05 of the town from one way and you just got a little buzzer little spring in your step hustle from the office the other way and I'm like I'm just back in about it yeah that's good that you go that way though on my own and my jammies anymore I'm out and about get up get dressed
Starting point is 00:31:19 I was in on Monday on my own because I'm sharing it with our manager actually Becky who I do some work with for Quinn management and I was in my own and when I say I text you like half one saying I've actually done half my to do this in the week at half one on a Monday
Starting point is 00:31:35 yeah didn't quite do as much yesterday because we're chatting all day but that'll come and go I felt very productive and boss-assing the world gorgeous I'm very proud of you so yeah everyone's been on this journey with it Really been up to.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Speaking back to skincare slightly, I've been moaning the past few weeks. You might notice it on the camera, but I've got really bad dark circles under my eyes. I never used to, and I'm quite confirmed that my eyes are really bloodshot every day, and I'm getting dark circles now. And I don't know whether it's something to do with...
Starting point is 00:32:09 My bit's just an age. My age, yeah, but allergies. I think the congestion of the cats is taking a toll. it could be my eyesight and I don't know or iron deficiency what not fuck knows the fact that I don't drink
Starting point is 00:32:25 a lot of water can anyone help yes if anyone can help do you think I'm like iron deficient but it's something I've noticed quite recently and it's Richard said to me in bed last night
Starting point is 00:32:33 and he was like Jess your dark circles are really dark and no one has ever said that to me my whole life do you know what I think when like your boyfriend says
Starting point is 00:32:41 something to you that's when you know because I feel like he would never say anything like that yeah that they hold back more than what we would yeah like I don't mind a bit of like tough love and yeah the appearance department because I think if anyone's going to tell me it's you yeah but when they I don't think they like doing that so when they do them about like whoa yeah it must be really bad and he kept wiping me eye like I've got my scorer and I was like no that this is genuinely I've not noticed it though to be fair oh I know it's a lot tired but I don't know if it's because like the Botox I said I had crow's feet Botox which I did love initially but you know the wrinkles have got to go somewhere else and that was the first time I'd ever had that's area done and that and that so I feel like I am quite heavy so I don't know if that's the thing the reason but that should wear off very soon it was
Starting point is 00:33:28 definitely wearing off now anyway much the you do put that those drops in your eyes though that I think are quite concerning yeah I've got these sort of like illegal eye drops that I really shouldn't use but I got them because my bloodshot eyes and I don't know if it's making me worse yes those drops that make your eyeballs like really white you know you can get them in Dubai in the shop They're just illegal They're not illegal You just can't buy them in the UK
Starting point is 00:33:50 Yeah But speaking of Botox We were laughing this morning So the work I did with Virgin They've put some paid spend Behind like sponsored ads To put it on like To go reap far wider
Starting point is 00:34:02 Should I say And honestly Isn't TikTok just savage Some of the stuff that people write One gives the fuck? They don't And it's all like old men That right shit
Starting point is 00:34:12 It's someone wrote What, how much Botox And I thought Yes Yes, yes, yes. Like, that doesn't offend me, you old fuck. Like, what the hell? You're all drank.
Starting point is 00:34:23 You just basically telling me that my forehead. Listen, if you go back on my videos from when I started JJF, I've always had an extremely large, extremely large, shiny forehead. I've always had it. Botox does not make me, it maybe makes it extra shiny, but that's a good skin care coming through, in my opinion. Literally, I take fucking good care of myself.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Absolutely. I use a very strong, very strong, very strong. ring light that reflects off my Veeve Nova glow on my forehead and I'm like what the fuck like do I get Botox here here here no see this guy that's put this on your video he's commenting this while wanking off okay love it so do not take it personal no I didn't but I was reading this one reading the comments because there's a few videos of mine that I've gone via recently were like Scottish English stuff and people just get so deep about it and I'm like, they're not shouting at me,
Starting point is 00:35:18 that arguing with one another about that book fast isn't Scottish and I'm like, yeah, but fuck off. It basically is. Did people not have other things going on in their life? How could I, how dare I say like a hash brown is similar to a tatty scorn? I'm like, I just meant on a breakfast
Starting point is 00:35:38 that the potato part of it in England is hash brown, but it's not English, is it? It's American. I'm like, oh, I think he's a big. you don't live in Glasgow. I'm like, well, all right then. My literal address is Udingston, Glasgow G7, is my postcode. Yes, it's technically just on the outskirts of South Lanarkshire,
Starting point is 00:35:58 but my address is Glasgow. And I'm one stop from fucking Central Station. I don't obviously write this, but this is one thinking. Yeah, just delete and get back. TikTok is savage. Savage, it's a savage place to be. But it doesn't bother. No, yeah, I'm not bobbing at all.
Starting point is 00:36:16 you're getting like hot and flustered and like you're gritting your teeth but you're fine not bothered don't know what i'm actually not i'm actually not bothered but i do find it really funny that people get so pressed on the on the internet about people that's pathetic people that don't care about you pathetic oh i'm i'm saying this old men old men old stinky men also um i forgot what was going to say there oh yeah see on speaking of social media right yeah have you seen all those videos and it's like this person with this initial needs to do this yeah so it would be like buy you a coffee yeah i should know the answer to this because that's my job right but why is every single one of them i get a j because you're obsessed with me and jason they're always a jay i know
Starting point is 00:37:15 you mean? Why is that? Are they just always a J? Or is there some targeting ad going on? No, I think they are always a J. I think J's quite a generic name. Letter. Jack, James, Jason, Jess, Jamie, John, Judy. Judith. Jemima. Bottle Dog. Remember? But I had to note that down to mention, right? Because Last night, also I keep trying to send people videos that's not working on Instagram, it's doing my tits in. Anyway, I kept going to send them to like you or Jason to be like, again, again, again, again, it wouldn't work. Yeah. But I was really noticing every single one was a J. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:37:59 And is it because, like... How would it be targeted though? That's what I mean because it's not ads. They weren't sponsored posts. They were just all those posts that you don't follow. Maybe you just need to do what it fucking says and buy as a coffee. No, you need to buy me the stuff. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Okay. So I'll write your list the next time. you know but that was really bothering me because I thought who is it who's fucking watching me yeah barry um talking of things on socials saw london marathon was this weekend did you see any of the vids i saw um the youngest down syndrome guy finishing it oh he was only 19 stop and it was really cute how how long did it take him i actually don't know the time but it was like a video and he was like hugging his mom at the end and it was really nice no i i i find those videos so emotional this time of year. I think it's incredible that people do that
Starting point is 00:38:50 honestly. I don't know how anyone could do it. I don't understand it either. And we asked a lot of you guys what was a lot on your plate this week. And Zoe, you'd be shocked. There's a lot of podpigies that are into their running. There was a lot of responses that you guys are getting into it or books a marathon or half marathon. I think that's wild. It's crazy. Everyone is into running at the minute. It's a face. I can't think of people said you were that inspiration which I thought was funny. Why is that funny? Marie, why is that funny?
Starting point is 00:39:20 He was going to say something they didn't. Why is that funny that I'm someone's inspiration to start running? Because I started running. Yeah, no. No, I think it's just because you've not started running yet. I think it's incredible. Why is it because I'm back? Shut up.
Starting point is 00:39:39 No, I just think it's funny because you would maybe say like fucking Mo Fara's your inspiration, do you know what I mean? No, I know what you mean. That is fucking hilarious when you think about it. When saying that, I think it is better to have someone realistic. Uh-huh. That has actually started and hated it. Mo Fara's my inspiration, imagine.
Starting point is 00:39:58 You're saying Bolt? Yeah. They're so skinny. Huh? They're so skinny. Who? Mofara and you're saying Bolt. You're saying Bolt's not skinny anymore.
Starting point is 00:40:07 Has he not? No. What, Tank or fat? I'm not going to. chat shame. I'm not going to fat shame but he's he doesn't give a fair box to him. He's constantly a sprint to his whole life but he's just living the dream
Starting point is 00:40:20 yeah absolutely by the way he still looks great but if you saw him I was like wow he's not the same running for Sikh that he had previously. Absolutely not right but no those videos on TikTok and stuff I think it's incredible so anyone that did complete
Starting point is 00:40:34 a marathon recently because it's like marathon season isn't it I also saw the old guy did you see him but he fail No It was just a picture I saw him On Instagram I think And he'd fell at something like 15 miles
Starting point is 00:40:47 And like burst his nose Oh It was 91 years of age That is when it makes you think How can I not do that Like it's pathetic That I can't get myself to run When there's a 91 year old
Starting point is 00:40:57 Doing the London marathon Who fell burst his nose His face was all bloody And he self-finished it But you know what it is When he's running right I've noticed this since It did take him seven odd hours
Starting point is 00:41:07 Oh no I could never I'm bored Once you've done a heart it's then like right when you're doing a full and then you do a full and then you do one like so Courtney Black did the London Marathon then I watched her do like a Q&A on her story and she's like right now I've done that I'm going to have a bit of a break then I'm going to do a 10k race and then I'm going to do Tokyo New York something else at London Marathon bear in mind she never ran until a few months back yeah I think it was literally three months ago
Starting point is 00:41:33 she'd never ran she was an extremely fit personal trainer I follow her actually yeah seen some of her journey and then it's like once you've done that then you go and do ultramarathons and I just it by the way this is incredible I'm not stagging it but what I'm saying is it's things never stop being really good like I still remember when I could never run 5k yeah and now it's like a better thing that you should be achieving and it's like you're constantly comparing yourself to other people so I'm looking at people thinking is 5K for me like even impressive of course it is but then you see people on your Strava or your Instagram you're like oh my god they've just ran a fucking ultramarathon for 70 hours and I'm like
Starting point is 00:42:09 and I'm sitting here dying because I just ran up my road well I walk to like the we shop that does the every return things last night and then so I walked there because I had the partials and then I ran back and when I say that's probably 1K
Starting point is 00:42:24 and I was done it. But it's still impressive though running is the highest impact sport is it not? It's the hardest thing physically mentally to get your self at the door to go on pound them
Starting point is 00:42:41 bastard pavements. I only did extend my new trainers. And I will say though nothing makes me feel as good as I do after a room. I think you've been quite strong in saying because one of our friends has went into the ballot for the London Marathon next year and said like Jessie you're
Starting point is 00:42:59 doing it and you were quite firm in your response of in your frame of mind of saying that is just not for me I feel mad at Yeah, it's not and I do know a lot of people
Starting point is 00:43:10 when they finish it they think wow that was amazing I want that high again I booked another half marathon that next week because I wanted
Starting point is 00:43:16 to better my time but I know in my heart like I don't have the time or the interest to go and run a marathon and that's a serious thing to go and train for that's two times
Starting point is 00:43:29 what you've done yeah and you have to be in that place you can't sit there and say I'm just going to run a marathon no that's bollocks
Starting point is 00:43:35 it's a serious run and you do have to be fit to do it. Absolutely. So, I'm not saying I'm not that or not saying no one else is, but I don't have the time to go and run 30K
Starting point is 00:43:48 once a week, twice a week in the run-up to it. Yeah. I don't want, I don't want to. No. You couldn't pay me. I just don't want to. I don't think you pay me a million pound on a reason. But then, in the next breath, sorry, never say never.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Never say never with these things Right So Couple things before we need to go I finished baby reindeer I've still not worked it I'm not even started it Okay
Starting point is 00:44:20 But you can discuss it except I've heard it all Well I'm not going to spoiler alert Fast forward two minutes But you know how last episode I said He was doing my tits in And I don't know how anyone could play that actor Yeah I still
Starting point is 00:44:33 I still stand by that sort of but it did not unfold how I expected right okay interesting there was it was a very raw and honest amazingly written true story
Starting point is 00:44:50 that is great for people that have suffered sexual abuse and I think just mental issues when it comes to self-esteem and wanting to get further in life and doing things wrongly. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:09 And then you kind of project your attention seeking, if you like, to somebody else that shows you an inch of attention. Right. So essentially he knows that he pursued it when he shouldn't have sort of out. Absolutely. And he's so honest as to why. And I think it's quite a refreshing documentary, what it is, a drama. It's also quite dark humour.
Starting point is 00:45:31 That's quite funny in certain ways. But I do think... Sounds up my street anyway. Yeah, there was one episode which needs a huge trigger warning. I think it was like episode four or five. Right, okay. That was really hard watch. And then...
Starting point is 00:45:47 Sounds like... It's got 100% on rotten tomatoes, you know. That doesn't happen often. It doesn't. But I think it's because just how it's been written and him playing it, it really does show you both sides. of there's not a victim in it
Starting point is 00:46:03 everybody in it is a sort of victim for their own reasons and what's happened to them in the past and I think it's so relatable to many people that watched it in many different ways. See this is what I say every day when I see anyone in this world I feel sorry for them. Yeah and I
Starting point is 00:46:19 always say that to Jason like people do bad things now I know but see like that homeless guy or that guy that was going around like shouting and kicking and causing destruction I'm like there's something not right with them to get them to that point like I still feel sorry for them
Starting point is 00:46:34 no I know what you mean I always feel sorry for people like I just think everyone like prisoners or any sort of documentary I think I feel bad for you but you've done a really awful thing I know like if someone's listening who's experienced like someone like
Starting point is 00:46:48 killing a family member or something extreme then obviously you're not going to hate what I'm saying but I've not experienced something like that so I've never felt that hatred to not see the but did they really mean it or maybe he's unwell. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:47:03 I always almost see the good in it. See the good, which I think is a better way to be than seeing bad in people, but I also think I do feel sorry for everyone. Because I just think, see that homeless guy, have you really done something so bad that you've not got one person who could help you? I always think that.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Is everybody giving up with you? I know. To the point when you're in the street. Or do you just at it? Take my money. Yeah, well, there's a few of that. It's a fine line. But anyway, that goes back to what you're saying about,
Starting point is 00:47:31 Like they both were victims in the situation. Yeah. Even though from an outsider point of view, she is the issue, I suppose. She's actually the main character in the first few episodes. Then it occurs into a whole different story. Honestly, you should watch it. It's really good.
Starting point is 00:47:45 No, I see it. Yeah, it's really, really good. Very interesting. Yeah. So, yeah, I just thought I'd say that because I did listen to it the last episode and I felt like you were less than back thinking I was wrong sort of thing. Yeah, but I did say my opinion could change.
Starting point is 00:48:01 And I still stand by that and I think a lot of people feel the way like he's annoying there's so many parts of it you think why are you doing this to yourself you're making this worse you're now annoying me but then I guess
Starting point is 00:48:12 when you've never been in that situation or you're not that unwell that you can't understand but it makes you understand people like that and I think that's the beauty of it yeah and I guess like if you take it down a notch right see when you're we were younger
Starting point is 00:48:27 and you were speaking to people yeah who you weren't interested in but you quite like the fact you had someone to text. Yeah. That's a similar thing, but obviously not to that extreme. It's like you're not interested, but you like that they're interested
Starting point is 00:48:40 and you like that they're giving you company and giving you something to text and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, giving you confidence, whatever. Yeah. It's like that, but just not... Yeah. It doesn't get as dark as what that did. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Like you do... And then he starts getting... Spoiler alert, but he starts getting sexual fantasies over her at one point, and then I'm just like, right you're fucking at it now mate but I guess it maybe gets like that I don't know
Starting point is 00:49:05 some people just she stopped being obsessed with him and then he's now obsessing with her yeah because he liked her being obsessed yeah with him by the same it was also struggling with his sexuality as well so that's another big thing and then oh you need to watch it because
Starting point is 00:49:20 there's a lot to do with his nor I'm convinced and that shows you how it trickles down from like your parents madness very good so yeah thought I'd say that um last thing last thing you had two up so i'm wondering what the second thing is two up what you said you two like two things to quickly yeah um this top your top right yeah so it might you may be able to see the padding here on the the bar but anyway went to unicloe in
Starting point is 00:49:53 berlin which by the way is opened in edinburgh now the opening is tonight but by the time this comes out it's open it's open where is it prince Street. Yeah, it's not in the shop. I'm sitting on to not. It's a long, like, can I pass eye Prince of Street which is like the main mark and all that. Yeah. So these are like ribbed tops, just ribbed cropped.
Starting point is 00:50:11 I wouldn't say that cropped. It's like a nice length which I think is good. It covers your belly button. It comes in black, nude, khaki, cream, white and it's got... You see that on the camera. It's actually got a hidden sort of sports bar underneath it. That's perfect. With very small cupping paddies.
Starting point is 00:50:29 cupping padding you do not need to wear a bra guys this is perfect for big tiddy girls like us isn't it I just love when you start like really getting in about the the breasts the modeling and all that I just need to show what I was and I think they do it in a dress version which was just not cute for my hips but yeah long dress versions bigger ribbed and I wrote it in the page in chat and a girl replied did you see that she did the PR for the unit for Unicloe yeah and she said that there's loads of them in the store because again I got this in Berlin but she said there's loads and those three tops are nice but
Starting point is 00:51:11 you don't want it like a strap with splage it's not out for me and you don't want the straps yeah there as there's a solution right there on your body all of us girls bought them or I was like oh my god this is gonna change the game for me in the summer because you know when you wear a bra right you don't want to show the strap. Sometimes my strapless bars don't quite cover my boobs and then the wire digs into my rolls and it makes me look fatter. Yeah, Maggie
Starting point is 00:51:36 so then I'm like, this is just perfect. A strap is where I saw from you because you need of it tighten off the stay. Yeah, and then you can see like that back rolls at the bath. Honestly, Marie, you're so lucky you're not how I've got to deal with these issues. How do you know? How do you know? But
Starting point is 00:51:51 I thought that was a good shout out because we did to say that on the Patreon chat. Absolutely. But yeah, so if you want to join us over on Patreon this week we're going to talk about good things things that have made people feel good. Yeah. In the past week I put a question box on the story
Starting point is 00:52:08 saying what has made you feel good, nice, happy, whatever. There's quite some lovely responses. Yeah. So we're going to chat about that and some other random bits. Yeah, some skincare wrecks. Absolutely. Yeah. Well, thanks for tuning in. Thank you so much. And if we don't
Starting point is 00:52:24 see you on Friday on Patreon, we will see you next Tuesday. Bye. Bye guys. Have a gorgeous week.
