Starting point is 00:00:00 We are so excited to say that this podcast is sponsored by Watermans. Wait, the solicitors? Yeah, but they're not like regular solicitors, obviously. So not super serious and complicated? Yeah, I would say they're a bit more straightforward kind of vibe, our vibe. I can get bored with that. For straightforward legal advice, remember Watermans. Happy freaking Tuesday, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Happy freaking Tuesday. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and did more than what we did. we've done sweet fuck all sweet fuck all that's actually a lie I was out Friday night again anyway we'll get to that
Starting point is 00:00:41 yeah anyway welcome back welcome back we hope you are loving the pod this season so far and you're all getting into the festive spirit get in your black Friday list ready
Starting point is 00:00:54 because next week we're going to have an amazing episode all about Christmas wish list Black Fridays, you name it. Deals. Yep. Also, whilst we have your attention, please can you like and subscribe?
Starting point is 00:01:06 If you're watching us on YouTube, you see this little button right here. I'm guessing it's here. I have no idea. But down here, click ping, ping, and that just basically means that you're subscribed. And also, I believe, I'll try to have a little bit of a play on the Patreon settings.
Starting point is 00:01:23 But I do believe now you can subscribe to Patreon via Spotify, so the bonus episodes come through to your Spotify, Spotify list. I think you might be kick. As opposed to going on to the Patreon app. The downside of that is if you never download the Patreon app is you don't get the group chat and the competitions and things that we post on the feed of Patreon. Quite a few people have messaged us in the past saying I can't access the group chat.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Interesting. How do we fix that for them? So I think this happened to my mum. She just needed to re-download the app. delete and re-download and it worked. And it pops up as an option to join it? Yeah. Right, okay.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Also, if you listen on Apple, please, ratings, that would be really kind. And just wherever you listen to your podcast, I'm sure there's quite a few little avenues out there. Sure, a bit of love. Yeah, we would really appreciate it because we always forget to ask you to kindly do that, please, but it would mean a lot to us. So, love you. And, yeah, Patreon is, if you don't know what that is, because we mention that word,
Starting point is 00:02:26 buzzword a lot. it's where our side dish episodes are now it's a separate app but like we say you can now probably get it on Spotify which we'll definitely confirm to you next week I believe it's £3.50 a month plus that we are without a doubt
Starting point is 00:02:43 without a fricking doubt the cheapest cheapest patron out there for what we give you back we really are mugs the community on there is amazing but yeah if you want some extra gossip every week Please meet us on there.
Starting point is 00:02:59 I'm just having a look at the chat. Yeah. People are selling tickets for the events on there. Well, more swapsies for different times. Somebody lives in Manchester. She's going up to Edinburgh and she's asking for some tips. Let's call quite a few replies on there. Oh, somebody's wrote some really good things on there.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Agued eminases. Yeah. Agri. And then asking us for a Margo review, which is definitely coming today. No. But if you, like you say, this episode comes out in a week. So we'll have replied to that chat. it's active if people just want a wee active chat chat yeah get on over you know what i mean so yeah
Starting point is 00:03:34 anyway we hope you join us there one day absolutely especially when i go on my maternity leave you're going to be giving us updates in there oh 100% we can't we can't stop it can we we we're kind of keep the piggy's happy so we're not really quite sure what we're going to do with my maternity yet are we with i need to have some time off but you know both richard and i are self-employed So if we don't work, if I can't, we can't just take a year off work. Well, you can't. So, yeah, I don't know what to do, really. I don't want to leave you guys.
Starting point is 00:04:05 I actually don't. I want to keep you updated. And I really enjoy this. This will definitely keep my sanity, I think. Yeah. But equally, I know, I don't know how I'm going to be. So I don't want to say, I'll do this, put the pressure on myself and then be a different way. So we'll come to it.
Starting point is 00:04:22 But patron's definitely sticking around. That's not going to go anywhere. Whatever we put on there will be have to. be whatever we're able to do at the time but yeah we're just going to do a longer season aren't we this year yeah we've not got an end date for this season yet so i might give birth on cam that would be great i'm not really for that i'll be honest i don't want my keen chairs getting into bloods true true true true true that's why i wouldn't do a home bear can't have my living room wrecked are you joking um so yeah we've got a longer season this year for the main episode and then
Starting point is 00:04:57 we'll come into it when we need to. Yeah. Anyway, let's crack it on. What's on today's Epps, Zells? My moment to shine. Here we go. Today's Epp, a lot on your plates from us. Important topics that we are definitely going to touch on.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Because we forgot last week. New openings again. We've got new ones. Yeah, great list. Which we'll try to do as much as we can. And then we've got our topic today. So where do you want to begin? What's been a lot on your plate?
Starting point is 00:05:27 Oh, so we went for somewhere really nice to eat. Connect. We went to Margo. First impressions, I was very shocked. In fact, let's start from the outside. Miller Street. I haven't walked down there for a long time. Miller Street has Spiritualist, Pasano Pizza,
Starting point is 00:05:44 Spanish butcher, Margot, and then the new bar Cebs, which looks cool as, by the way. It's not open yet. I always just think of Miller Street with him that seamstress place on it. Yeah, and I was going to say that's the opposite. Opposite of that, isn't it? Because I just, any time I was looking for one in Glasgow, I always went there, and I just always remembered it's on Miller Street, and it just reminds me all at every time.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Great seamstress on Millers Street, by the way. Is it called so quick? Yeah, I think it might be, yeah. Something like that, yeah. Anyway, outside, really cool. I believe, how I try and see it is, it's a piece of West End that's come to city centre. I agree. That we really, I felt like it was missing. I get a lot of people asking me, where can I go to eat when they come to Glasgow, I always say to them, City Centre, I struggle.
Starting point is 00:06:30 There's a few places I would list, but I struggle with breakfast places in City Centre that I really love and I struggle with dinner. And I would always say go more towards Finiston, West Endway, if you want some really good foody spots. It's got a lot of Southside. Does the job restaurants. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:48 But just nothing for like a special date night or a birthday. Yeah, I feel like you just go a little bit further to the West. But that kind of takes. that box for me I think. Agree. Walking in. Massive. Massive, wasn't it? What the fuck was there before someone tell me? What the fuck was it? Because it's a humongous space.
Starting point is 00:07:08 All the way down to the back and there was like a mezzanine. A mezzanine. At the top. Small plate vibe, which I know a lot of people are quite funny with. Me being one of them sometimes. Yeah. Sometimes I kind of be arsed with just the edgy seasonal stuff. See, that's my favourite type of. dining but Richard's worst nightmare he just wants to have a meal to himself that's main
Starting point is 00:07:32 that's having but when we got looked at the menu there was the small plate options I was like bites small plates and then bigger dishes and then sharing dishes like a lot like a whole duck you could have shared with someone and yeah so if you do want to go you've got all sorts of options stand out things for me I've because I follow a lot of foodies on Instagram I would say that the dishes that they were like raving about, I didn't pure love. Sometimes things are overhyped though as well. Yeah. And you'd expect them too much.
Starting point is 00:08:04 I wasn't like blown away by what people were blown away by. I also couldn't have things like the steak tartar. I couldn't have the steak, like how I usually like it cook. So I don't think I did it justice. The steak for me wasn't the best steak I'd had. The sauce was good, but the steak wasn't, was that because we had it cooked more well done? I don't know. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:08:23 However, the chocolate nemesis dessert That was out of this world, by the way And I would never normally go for like a rich chocolate dessert But me, Zoe and I'm on like three things on the dessert menu So we were like, obviously, fuck it, let's just have all three That was easily one of the best chocolate desserts I've ever had Would you agree? It was the consistency of it
Starting point is 00:08:51 Yeah, if you're going, go and get this dessert, it was amazing. The pumpkin was really good. Somebody who listened to this podcast works there, and they were very sweet and sent over a couple of little appetizers for us for free. So thank you for you to listen. Thank you. That was really sweet of you to do that for us. I also enjoyed the beetroot pasta.
Starting point is 00:09:09 You loved that, didn't you? What was it like beetroot and goat's cheese? Goat's cheese in it? Yeah. That was really nice. I did like the pumpkin, the potatoes. Oh, fucking hell, they were really good. They were good.
Starting point is 00:09:20 and we've both been invited to Seb's opening which is the bar underneath I believe they own it as well which looks again they've got a food menu so we'll let you know on that one as well but yeah so that's why I've eaten this week
Starting point is 00:09:31 I've done nothing else at all of the weekend I got Owen's report back last night thank God and the vets rang me initially and just said it's very in depth as anyone's read an autopsy report they're very intense
Starting point is 00:09:44 they go through every millimeter of the body but there was quite a few findings the first reports that they believe it's something to do with his lungs or his heart and then he phoned me last night and he did say that it's a very complex case which i thought was interesting that they wrote that on the report but confirming but not a hundred percent that it's he had chronic cardiac disease which led to acute heart failure so yeah absolutely gutted but when i was reading into it that is the most common case of particular predigree breeds british short hair being one of the them right um so yeah heart failure just devastated really but we got wilson checked on monday sadly his heart rate was just through the roof because he doesn't you know we don't take him to the vets often so he was just like animals hate it don't they and he's not a meower that the word quite a silent cat he's just a stiff like shit we're in danger so his heart rate was just
Starting point is 00:10:46 telling a different story so the vet was like look you're going to bring him back so that's owen's situation because a lot of people ask me a few people have got those cats and I was like there's nothing to worry about I don't want people to like
Starting point is 00:10:58 stress about it but no it is quite a common thing and yeah by the time this podcast comes out I'll be my final week of my second trimester going into my third
Starting point is 00:11:09 that's fucking mental by the way guys I don't feel like I've updated you much at all on my Instagram about anything but I've got quite a few little cute bits so he got me a beautiful gift as well last week which is so cute
Starting point is 00:11:21 I'll probably bring it in next week to show you I just love baby pets you've been treating me to so much cute stuff recently such a thoughtful friend I have to admit I'm thoughtful you are cute that's something I pride myself on I think she loves me so much guys
Starting point is 00:11:36 and she shows it in her own little way you're like Richard like that you don't express it much but you do lots of kind gestures that's nice I'm glad you appreciate it She gave me a beautiful little picture of Irwin, the cutest picture of him, and then you got me this personalized book to me and Richard for the baby, a little rattle, a little coin that you flip that's like mum's turn, dad's turn. And then I thought, fuck, I should have got it. Daddy's turn both sides, yes. And then the cutest little teddy.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Really sweet. And I thought, what did you get before? And then a really nice card. Like, you know, I'm not having a baby. You just feel like I need to get you something. Sweet. But yeah, I've got quite a few little little. bits and bubs like cute clovey things so maybe I'll share that on my story I just don't know I just feel like people just don't want to see it but I know they do but I'm just like people will even care I don't know I don't know I think they do and I think they do when it's every so often and not all the time like you've not made it your personality trait which we've spoken about a lot that we don't love no do that just because you're your own person come on you know what I mean
Starting point is 00:12:44 so I feel like people enjoy it because you're not like having every day here's an update I know do you know what I mean I don't know I definitely will need to start sharing it but you feel's right ticking and then next bit very briefly I'm suffering from quite a bit of heartburn so I've been trying my my best she says as she's had a chocolate biscuit before she came on the podcast but I've been trying to eat like a really healthy smoothie in the morning that's high in alkaline foods if no one knows that knows what that is just go and have a quick Google of it and it's It's just the things that you would think that would be, just not acidic foods, that I
Starting point is 00:13:23 used to eat quite a lot when I used to suffer from heartburn, when I used to be addicted to a metrizo, which I'm absolutely not going back on, by the way. And yeah, so I thought, you know what, I'm going to see if this works for pregnancy, and it is 100% helping. I can't believe that on the NHS website or anywhere, it doesn't push women that are pregnant to eat more foods like that. It just says you take these drugs, take Gaviscon, take a metaprozo, and I'm like, Yeah, the sky's the problem and not actually fax it.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Yeah. Because I think naturally when you're pregnant, you do crave things that are quite acidic. I mean, I've been liking a lot of acidic-y things or like vinegars. Tomato ketchup sends me through the roof, things like that. Ground sauce. I know. I love ketchup. Fizzy drinks, which we all love.
Starting point is 00:14:08 And then carbs, fried foods, which I was eating a lot of. But anyway, if anyone's getting heartburn, I would definitely recommend having a really nice, high alkaline, fruity smoothie in the morning and just maybe add more things into your diet that I like that as opposed to just less of the other shit because I was struggling to lie down after I'd eaten it was so uncomfortable you'll also be opting for like easier foods which naturally does become a bit unhealthy yeah like both pasta with just easy sauces or you know what I mean yeah like lazy dinners which is absolutely fine yeah we all fucking do it every night um every night I mean, but that's not going to help either.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Yeah, so it's probably just about when you've got the energy back, making effort again, isn't it? Exactly. But you said yourself. Anyway, I've rammed on for too long. Who am I to say anything? Sorry, tell us about your very adventurous weekend. So it was Susie's birthday. Oh, yeah, so it was.
Starting point is 00:15:06 Susie's my mum, by the way. If anyone didn't catch on to that there, the famous Susie. Susette. We went to Don Costanzo. She loves it there. Her first time? second. We went for her birthday. Honestly, it must have been about five years ago and she loved it. So I thought we'll go back there. Lovely meal as always. They brought out a loaf of bread.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Yeah, they do. That traditional that, isn't it? But they put the lights right out. So everyone was about like what's going on. What the fuck's going on here? Yeah, it kind of did seem like that and then obviously it came round the corner. So that was fun. Lovely evening. And then I got our tickets to go see a show for a birthday and my brother Adam got her a voucher to a restaurant. So me, me and her were in Edinburgh last night. We went to see Anne Juliet. Theatre. At the theatre. The theatre. Playhouse?
Starting point is 00:15:55 Playhouse, yep. I forget all their names. There's too many. Amazing show. What's it? What's the storyline then? So it's about Romeo and Juliet. Right. But it's about what would have happened if the story ended differently. So basically in the show you've got William Shakespeare and his wife. The wife, by the way, is about.
Starting point is 00:16:17 best part in the whole show. Okay. She is hilarious. Everyone must go see it and everyone must watch her. And also we were in like Roe C of the stalls, which I always opt for like
Starting point is 00:16:27 the first level in a theatre show that you can kind of see the paper at the back. Did you see that bit of fluff there? No. I feel like it went up my nose. So you can kind of see like the whole stage
Starting point is 00:16:41 and like the dance routine is not you can see everyone, you know. Anyway, there was really good tickets Ro C in the stalls. And that was great because you could actually see facial expressions and like... What, you're right at the front? Rossi. One, two, three, see.
Starting point is 00:16:56 Bloody hell. And we were like kind of in the middle, just off to the side of me a bit. So it was amazing, see, and that woman was the best. She was great. Anyway, it's about what happens after if she didn't kill herself. Because she kills herself because he's dead. Does she say, I'm terrible, I don't really know the story of Romeo, Julian. I know briefly
Starting point is 00:17:17 loosely but in throughout the show it's like Shakespeare and the wife basically she's like I'm rewriting this story and he's like jumping in
Starting point is 00:17:28 and changing things and she's jumping in and changing things so it's quite comical but even though it's obviously about a really historical story it's the music it's kind of like pop music
Starting point is 00:17:39 like it's music you know is it set in modern times or not it's just still set in those days but it's modernised in certain ways like the music and the band-time and stuff. Yeah, it's like some of the girls in it I've got the sort of like coarshertyed, really tight. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:53 Outfits on, but it's in like a very modern way. Okay. It's like they've got like chunky white trainers on, frilly ankle socks and then like a really frilly skirt but then like a corset. Yeah, okay. So it's like a modern version. Oh, it.
Starting point is 00:18:06 And then the songs are modern songs like Rihanna. What? Like just loads of different ones. like um what do you call it not bad out of hell but like there's one like that like it's all different but the way they sing the songs it's very cheesy but you need it's in a funny way yeah so it's like they'll answer a question and song right which if it wasn't funny i do even as a musical lover i'm a bit like ugh but because it's so funny it's good it's a great show you should go see it everyone if you can um so we did that
Starting point is 00:18:43 loved it. Mom had actually seen it before, which I knew. I knew, but it was her that said we should go and see this. It's brilliant. So, did that, we went to Shea's Jules for dinner before. She'd never been there either. And my mum only works down the road at Harvey Nichols, so she was at her tell everyone to come here and I've never been. So we went there, steak freets.
Starting point is 00:19:02 I'm eating a lot of steak frets, and I'm not even a steak lover. But what I've decided is I like steak a lot more than just getting a steak. Why? Like, the ease of it. Like, it's more relaxed. it's less steak dinner it's more like
Starting point is 00:19:18 shove that on the fries you know it's a bit more like a lunch menu sort of vibe got that we also shared the um
Starting point is 00:19:25 goat's cheese toast to start wow that was delicious it had like warm honey over it with walnuts do not have the snails or the frog's legs
Starting point is 00:19:34 there no have you ever tried snails tried them of you and course you did sorry we've spoke up this yet
Starting point is 00:19:41 oh skin yeah I did look at them on the you thought but we weren't actually really wanting to have a heavy starter but then we thought that sounds nice we'll just share it so had that and then I just thought when I was there Edinburgh is lovely at Christmas Edinburgh is you know what the thing is about Edinburgh you know when you drive through Haymarket there's a there's an area and I don't know it very well but when you drive to Edinburgh yeah just on the outskirts and there's so many like small shops and
Starting point is 00:20:09 little restaurants and I'm like what is this place because this is somewhere is that Stockbridge, no. No, it's not Stockbridge, which I love Stockbridge, but it's the other side when you're coming from Glasgow, it might, it can't be Haymarket. I just would love to go and explore that side. I do think that when you go to Edinburgh, you go down Prince's Square, not Princess Square, Princess Street, yeah, and a lot of tourists don't really see an awful lot, even though a lot tourists love Edinburgh because it's so historic and it is beautiful. But, but But there are so many gorgeous restaurants that even we've got explored. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Well, funny to say that, because me and my mum were actually saying the same thing, because I just feel like it's so much longer to get there these days. We've been talking about that. Oh, that dry is so long. I got the train in and I went from my mum so that we could get the same train back, blah, blah, blah. But I feel like there's less quick trains now. I used to get there in 40 minutes. I didn't know, for a fact.
Starting point is 00:21:10 I did. And it took me like an hour in 10 on the train. it's just long it is long do you know what else is in a nice area as well leaf you know sunshine on leaf walk isn't it and then that's got some gorgeous restaurants popping up on it as well
Starting point is 00:21:25 but we were kind of saying like as you were saying there's a lot of little villages almost just outside the centre that even at Christmas and stuff do their own me markets and everything that'll be so lovely but you just don't really know way to go I guess that's like Glasgow when we tell people to come here they go to the city centre you're like no go and explore south side
Starting point is 00:21:41 east end West End, Finiston and they'll probably get as far as Ashton Lane. I know, true. Very true. It's just like any city, isn't it? You need to get a backpack on the door of The Explorer. You do?
Starting point is 00:21:54 Last thing for me, I went for a facial last week. Yeah, with who? I know, but I'm just got to ask the question. With who? A little pantomime. Olivia Francesca skin. The most beautiful girl in the world. Cheers.
Starting point is 00:22:08 I think I've said that on the podcast before. She is the owner of Aesthetica in Bishop Briggs And now has another salon in Within Mezzar Do she still own Aesthetica? Yeah All right, okay Within Meza on Great Western Road Oh yeah, that's quite a big one
Starting point is 00:22:27 So that's where I went Right And she does a residency is down in London quite a lot now, doesn't she? In the Aesthetics Club Oh! That's where she does in London Right, I didn't know that Yep
Starting point is 00:22:38 yeah and it's more of a not a lay down face and it's more of a sitting chair face chair so it's ride down usually but in Meza she's doing sort of like
Starting point is 00:22:49 recliner chair okay sort of feel but I had a 30 minute kind of express sculpt and glow sort of vibe but it was so good my skin was honestly going after it
Starting point is 00:23:00 is it like lymphatic kind of yeah like kind of like the kind of like the you know like use the fingers and the sort of fast movements And she just really cleansed it And I felt my skin was really dull And whatever
Starting point is 00:23:12 Just got clean afterwards Yeah And she gave me a couple of spot patches That I kept on all day and all night after And it really helped I had a great time I booked back in four weeks Right before Christmas for a 60 minute one
Starting point is 00:23:24 Oh my goodness, what a treat Can't of bloody wait Can't get in with her either I know She's fully booked But I think she might potentially be doing A separate Sort of list for
Starting point is 00:23:36 The new place Right Because I know she had a wait list and stuff For aestheticsa and Bishop Briggs But she booked me back in I thought maybe she's kind of doing that As a separate client based sort of thing And try and get more people in
Starting point is 00:23:50 Anyway If you're into that sort of thing Look her up and give it a try Yeah She shared some bit on a story last night And I messaged her Because she's just had that polyunucleotides That people are having
Starting point is 00:24:01 To be fair Zara Who I used to go to Or still would go to For my treatments but obviously I'm pregnant She did my neo found for me But she kept telling me I need to have Oh, I always had Morpheus 8 with her But you need to have the
Starting point is 00:24:14 Polyonuclearides And I was a bit like, I'm not sure Isn't that the salmon sperm thing That everyone was saying it was trending But I don't actually think it is salmon sperm I think that was all just a bit of misunderstanding Yeah, I'm not sure on that one Yeah
Starting point is 00:24:27 Anyway, they inject it into this area of your eye And it's not filler But it's collagen, I believe Of some sort And her before and after was amazing and I've always been quite conscious, well, very recently actually, that I've got this ledge here. I've never had any filler or anything here, so I don't understand what it is. Maybe I'm just aging all my eyebags are sinking in. And remember when I said
Starting point is 00:24:52 last season that I thought it was to do with my eyelash shiro? Yeah. Well, her results were exactly what she looked, what I looked like before and it sort of filled out. And she said that the results are insane. Then I also saw Zara do a Q&A yesterday on a story saying the same thing. Yeah, I've seen that it's the best treatment to some amazing results. So as soon as this baby's out, let me tell you fucking now, I'm getting Botox injected into me. It's over for all you bitches. I'm having neophones, I'm having polynucleotides, you name it.
Starting point is 00:25:22 Jek me up, bitch. Jek me up, bitches. No filler. I think absolutely fair foxy. Fucking fair fox. I'm going to look old. Look. I can't even do that.
Starting point is 00:25:37 because it'll stay there. Was the last time you had some Botox? Start of July, I think. Do it? I need it. No, I love movement, though. I hardly moved there, though, because it will stay. I don't like the frozen luck for me, personally.
Starting point is 00:25:53 I do need a top-up. I do. I'm going to get it soon. But, yeah, that's what's happening for me, guys. It's over for you all. I've got the opposite eye, sure. I've got puffy eyes today. You need a bit of cooling eye patches.
Starting point is 00:26:06 I don't know what that's all about. I'll give you someone to get home. Guys, buying your own house and flat can be so stressful. So stressful. And I feel like as adults were just supposed to know all this stuff. Did you know that it's considered one of the most stressful things you can ever do in your life? I can believe that, by the way, all the paperwork, lawyers and all that. It's too much.
Starting point is 00:26:26 It's a total minefield. Well, don't worry, I have a solution that will make everything feel easier. Just let our sponsors, Watermans, handle it all. Well, they pack my boxes too. Not quite, Lizzie, but they'll definitely take care of everything else. Perfect. Next up, an important topic. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Before the topic. Yeah. It's a pre-topic. Right. So if anyone was at our dockyard event or is just engaged on the socials, you know, we donated to the Peak Project as part of a charity donation from our dockyard event. and they have a Pikachu truck which goes to three different areas of Glasgow
Starting point is 00:27:11 every week and feeds supplies, yeah, healthier food to the community, the kids and their parents and anyone who wants or needs it and they also do play sessions as well
Starting point is 00:27:24 which we went to both they were having a play session on Halloween so all the kids were dressed up it was super cute and then the truck sort of parks up in the courtyard And all fresh food.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Yeah, and all the team at peak were very familiar with the kids. And the kids, they've obviously know them a lot, so they were well excited to see them. Well, we went helped out and... They're looking at it as like, who are you? I know they had attitudes and you were like, whoa. I don't know how to handle you guys. No, they're cute though, weren't they? We had a wee shot on the Pikachu truck, which was fun.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Yeah. And we served up the Halloween treats. It was spooky pizza and... scary fingers scary fingers which was sausage rolls wrapped in like a pastry they're like a filo pastry but they just wrapped it so it looked like a lovely
Starting point is 00:28:13 so that was really cute we enjoyed that a lot and they're doing quite a few things over the next couple of ones just in the lead up to Christmas they've got a donation and Buchanan Galleries just now where you can take coats like kids coats I think you can potentially maybe take
Starting point is 00:28:28 wellies as well oh nice don't know if it's to there but we'll share some stuff in the stories just if anyone's got anything old kids jackets, anything like that we raised about $2,400 for them didn't we? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:44 So it's just, we like to see what these charities actually do. Yeah, because what we try and do at our events is when we've done them we've tried to split it between two charities to keep it fair. And I know a lot of places would probably stick to the one charity, but for us personally we really want to try and give to it as many as possible
Starting point is 00:29:01 that are in sort of like the local area. It's also important to raise awareness for as many. Exactly. Especially these small non-profit funded ones as well. I just think it's important. Firstly though, a quick tip that we saw on social media that we think is really important
Starting point is 00:29:17 is instead of clearing out your children's wardrobes, toy boxes your kids' room in general after Christmas when they've been bought all this new stuff trying to do it before Christmas. and donate to charity shops
Starting point is 00:29:33 because charity shops actually need it all before to give for people to buy for their kids. Yeah, or you could if you didn't want to do that you could actually go and buy
Starting point is 00:29:43 some newer toys and give them to a charity doesn't have to always be secondhand but equally make sure you check with your charity because I think this post went viral so by the time this comes out I don't want the charity shops
Starting point is 00:29:56 to be overflowed where they're like, we've got too much stuff so maybe just check with your local charity and if they are up for that but yeah I think that would it just makes more sense isn't it I think just naturally after Christmas and everyone's got quite
Starting point is 00:30:07 not everyone us who are fortunate get a lot of new things you then think oh I need to do a clear out of not got space whereas people who are actually either just want to shop and charity shops because fair fucks they have good stuff or two don't have as much income
Starting point is 00:30:23 so want to do that for their kids to give them as much as they possibly can they're going there before Christmas obviously yeah so it just makes sense but you just don't think about it in that way necessarily. Anyway, important tip for you there. Next, one of our charities for the event. The first, first and confirmed in the one that we need to prep you for a bit. Yeah, we are partnering with cash for kids. We really wanted to do a charity to help kids on the lead up to Christmas because it's just so sad
Starting point is 00:30:51 and we thought it fits really well with our market night. It will be there both nights though, but what they're going to do is basically bring two large donation boxes. Santa Sacks? Santa Sacks. Absolutely. Where you can bring a gift to donate to the kids. Yeah. Do it need it? So if you would like to bring, can it be a secondhand gift or a new gift? Can it be a gift? I think it can be secondhand. Yeah. So if you are coming, you've got kids or whatever, or you want to buy something, please bring it along with you at the market and drop it in the bag. Yeah. And that's your... Good deed done the evening. There'll also be a couple of people there from cash for kids
Starting point is 00:31:35 with ways that you can donate just a cash donation if it's not something you're able to do in the lead-up or you've not got a lot of spare cash but you can maybe donate a pound. And then anyone who's not coming to the event will share some bits on stories as well if you also want to donate just online. Yep, and they've also said to us
Starting point is 00:31:53 because we like to follow up and see what actually happens with the money and the toys and we're allowed to go to their distribution centre shop and actually see all the toys and action being distributed out to local post codes as well if it's raised in that area it goes back out to that area
Starting point is 00:32:08 that's their sort of USP I think it's important for us to go and see what these charities do so that we can let you guys know because it's you that are doing the work yeah I agree it's you that are actually doing the bit we are here to raise awareness but you're doing the good deed
Starting point is 00:32:21 and I think it's important as well when you do raise money for these charities because there's so many out there now you never really know where your money goes or you never get to see it back with your own eyes. Not a lot of the time, you don't. You don't. So I just think it's really important,
Starting point is 00:32:34 and I'd personally like to see it in action as well. Definitely. Right. New openings. Let's have a jingle, Zoe. New openings. In the world, yeah. In the world.
Starting point is 00:32:47 We're not how far, but... I was going to say it in Glasgow, but... It was more than that. Yeah. Right, so new openings, again, the segment we did a few weeks ago, this is something that we're bringing back to you. you and if you want to send us any in let us know but these are all from our investigation
Starting point is 00:33:03 me right so this is not necessarily new but clubhouse which is in princes square they do a full Scottish breakfast which I was made a light made aware of either day yeah when people recommend to me where can I go for breakfast in city centre I say like single end Wilson street pantry but yeah go to go there for a full Scottish breakfast if you want It's all happening in Prince's Square. Liverpool Rogues opened up in the south sides. 313 Detroit pizzas. Burger Wednesdays are back at Big Counter.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Big Counter is one of my favourite restaurants. Barker Wednesdays. That was what they opened up originally. And they're now doing it on Wednesdays again. So if you remember that, go back and get that. Me and Jason, we need to get in about that. You love as a burger that boy. And that's just one of the best places I've been.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Soul Pilates in Glasgow, Palates, Reformaute Studio. Did you go to that? No, I've still not tried it, but I've also seen a lot of people go to Luna Love Pilates as well. Oh, I've not seen that. Which is another new one. Where's that? Also in Glasgow. I believe it is potentially near Charing Cross.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Cool, okay. I think. Reformer? Yeah, both reformer. Now, this is a bit of intel for you. So you know the bottom floor of Princess Square where every man is? Yep. There is a new restaurant opening called Zibibo.
Starting point is 00:34:27 Same owners of Mallow, Ralph and Fins. Right. Yep. And it's going to be a super cool wine bar food with a concept store attached to it of like amazing homeware. So I'm looking forward to that. That sounds a bit of us, I think. That's opening very soon.
Starting point is 00:34:44 And is that when you walk in, Apprentice Square, it's straight ahead of you at the back? Yeah. And that back. Yep. Wow. Bottom floor. Love it.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Then we've got, this is again, some other exciting intel. And I hope I'm allowed to say this, but I don't know. who told me but anyway you know the essence of harris store and princess square next door to space nk correct that is going to be space nk they are extending to the biggest flagship store so we're going to get a big badass space nk do we work for princess square because honestly we should everything i'm reading off this list not one person's asked me to read out so i'll if you would if you'd like to pay as princess square then please back we are great free market for people honestly
Starting point is 00:35:24 so yeah space in case for an expansion if you're from my ends or near live where I live Cazzo Bakehouse
Starting point is 00:35:33 in Hamilton is opening up in Bothwell love it amazing need a bakery there so cool we've got
Starting point is 00:35:41 a new bar called two dots on a dash on Bath Street and they also do these really cool cocktail masterclasses
Starting point is 00:35:47 in there that I noticed on TikTok right that's good for a wee hender or something yeah it was giving that vibe
Starting point is 00:35:52 love it yeah I think Alan told me about this place. Bavarian Bakehouse. Alan, do you want to chime in? Where is it? Partic. Partic.
Starting point is 00:36:02 It's a place that supplies baked goods, haven't they, for years? Now they're opening their first store. Shop. Yeah. Really cool. H. Beauty is coming to Silverburn. Harrod's Beauty is coming to Silverburn. Absolutely pop off Silverburn.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Pop the fuck off, Silverburn. That's class, isn't it? Really good. Glasgow. told us that is getting lifted it's all happening yeah then we've got Uniclo we've got we've got intel from your brother Adam knows what's going on in Glasgow he does he knows it goes walks around Glasgow because he lives in Glasgow a lot and he see he physically sees it with his eyes although he actually saw that this one in internet
Starting point is 00:36:44 however it's open on our Giles Street in between H&M near H&M on our Gail Street so I don't know if it's going to back off and to the extent or not and if you can get in from both ends but that's where it's going to be and I think that's a good location for that yeah it's bringing our girl street I know it's no going anywhere but
Starting point is 00:37:05 the canon streets kind of pop them off a girl street needs to pick up a bit join it yeah right me and Zoe went for a really nice lunch at a place that she spotted on oh yeah sucky not that's her girl street fern it's right opposite
Starting point is 00:37:21 the JP Morgan next to piece really cool sandwich soup vibe. We had like a mangle chicken thing and it was really good. Really good. Really recommend you go there for lunch. Nice vibe in there. And then the last one I've got on here is
Starting point is 00:37:35 Bambaleo. Bambalio. Six by Nico's 60,000 restaurant that they've opened up this year. Can you take a chill pool, Nico? God's sake. Like there's so many fucking new restaurants. I believe that's non-profit.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Isn't that the Beats charity one though? There's another one that they do. called, is it six or something? Again, he's opened that many, I'll lose track. I think I did see that that one is all to do with the charity. Well, great, great, great news. I think it's a stake place. Could be wrong.
Starting point is 00:38:06 But that's somewhere, I saw that this morning. Right, two places closed down, which I'm really sad about. Mama Sands closed down. It's the scaffolding. It is the scaffolding, though. They've actually said that. I think it is to do with that. It's a shame because that's actually quite a nice wee call.
Starting point is 00:38:23 Do you know why that scaffolding is there, by the way? Because the windows, one fell on the street. And so they have to keep scaffolding up for minimum two years for safety purposes. I think it is coming down soon, though. That's a shame for them businesses, isn't it? Yeah. And 2.86 in Southside, a really nice bakery from a gorgeous couple.
Starting point is 00:38:41 They've been around for ages. Our clothes in, I think they just had enough. And they're so popular as well. Through the towel in. Yeah. So I'm gutted about that. Okay, couple more. Edinburgh. Stills Automat.
Starting point is 00:38:53 The first automat photography sort of thing. You know what you get in Berlin is available in Edinburgh and it's so popular and that's how I wanted to initially do my pregnancy reveal. I know they couldn't find one anywhere. And then it pops up. And it pops up yet. Typical. Soto, Edinburgh, Stockbridge Eating House.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Somebody in the Patreon chat recommended that as well. That's meant to be really cool. That's like first on my list. Is that like a mix of things or not? What do you mean? the cuisine it's given like
Starting point is 00:39:26 is that what it's actually called Stockbridge eating house yeah that's given like not dockyard but no I think it's a restaurant no I think it's a restaurant then we've got Manhattan Edinburgh
Starting point is 00:39:37 which is a new bar that people are talking about really cool vibey Monica Vaneda has opened their first Scottish store on Edinburgh George Street wow yep
Starting point is 00:39:47 Edinburgh's had its got his first Gucci store opens And there's also Lost Shore, which we spoke about a little bit before here, which is Scotland's or maybe the Europe's first and biggest outdoor surfing resort that looks like it's open now, but within it, 5 March have agreed to go in there, Raffers, I'm sure, and Civerino's Pizza. So it's going to be a really cool place to go and go for a little trip. So that's all for Edinburgh. And then lastly, we've got Manchester, Blacklock. One of my favourite Sunday roast places is coming to Manchester in London.
Starting point is 00:40:31 There's one in Covent Garden. They're everywhere. They're coming to Manchester. There's a new restaurant opening called Stowe, which looks really nice and callos. And then last but not least, a shout out to one place in Leicester, my mother's new business, the grazing fox. If you would like, a grazing table, grazing boxes, theme boxes for anything. She's your woman, follow on Instagram at the grazing fox lester. That's it.
Starting point is 00:40:57 There you go. That was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Now, please send me your new openings. Wherever you are in the world, I don't care. Just send it as them and we'll shout at them out for you. We're global. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:08 We're getting global, baby. And I really hope that helps you guys, you know, have a bit of insight into new places because sometimes it's hard to know. It's hard to keep up. You get a bit overwhelmed, don't you? Absolutely. New spots. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Okay, so we had this lovely message from one of our piggies. Hey girls, I never normally send messages, but I've been a long-term silent fan and love the podcast. I wanted to ask a question to you because you two are honest, hilarious and I believe you wouldn't put up with double standards. My question is, I'm wondering your opinion on men that potentially have an issue with women doing any work relating to anything sexual like Onlyfans, Sugar Daddying, etc. When they admit they are consumers of porn regularly. Have you ever come across this? My personal view is that it's mad to consume the content
Starting point is 00:41:51 but expect any girl they see to have never dabbled in that work and the men are consuming the content for fun but the women it's mostly for money and they aren't the ones doing it for a jolly. So I went back to her and I said a great topic to discuss but can I ask you a question to you back? Do you consume porn yourself with men in it?
Starting point is 00:42:13 And would you date a guy in the industry if you do? And I put oral woman, I'm just presuming your sexuality here based on your question. And she put all good questions, I don't consume it, which is interesting, and not sure if I date someone in it, but in the past I did a couple of sugar meats to pay off my student loan slash credit card. And when I told a guy I'm seeing, he said he wouldn't be comfy with me doing that now. I thought, fair enough, but then he said he watches porn all the time.
Starting point is 00:42:39 And it got me thinking that I didn't do what I did for fun. It was financial boost when I really needed it. and he watches it for fun all the time yet wouldn't be happy if a girl did anything like that that's a difficult one into it thoughts I to be honest I'm not a massive porn watcher
Starting point is 00:42:59 it's I would do it it's more I don't know when you haven't got the time like I'm not really about in the flat on my own very often yeah it's not something I know I've spoke about this before it's not something I've done in the relationship as in together.
Starting point is 00:43:18 No, I've never watched it together either. I think I would laugh. Because we have a daft, like relationship, so I think I would laugh at stuff like that if we didn't together. But, so let's just say I do watch it because I would. Yeah, I'm not against it. I would, if I was single, I would probably be watching it. And do you don't mind Jason?
Starting point is 00:43:42 Don't mind if Jason does. He likes to pretend. doesn't but he does that smirk I know he does it doesn't bother me because it doesn't stop or affect or sex life yeah and if it did then that's probably that's a problem so let's just say I do so I watch porn let's say right would I date a guy who worked in porn or did any sort of sexual work no I wouldn't yeah I'm the same as you I wouldn't and I actually feel like we both are quite level-headed in terms of quite chilled in relationships.
Starting point is 00:44:19 The port, them watching porn doesn't bother us, and not bothers a lot of people. But I just think it's, I guess, for me, a stereotype of the way a lot of people do. So I asked Richard this question last night, because I feel like he's really open to stuff, I feel like he is quite, he's not asked. He'd maybe find it quite attractive.
Starting point is 00:44:40 I believe he would, yeah. Sorry, I keep looking this microphone. And he said, said, he thought it was interesting what she was saying. Right. And he said, firstly, no, I wouldn't. And I says, why? And he went, because other people have touched it.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Like, I want her to myself, aka me. And I was like, okay, I get that. Then he sort of sat and thought about it. It was like, well, I don't know, actually. I don't know, I'm not in that situation, so I wouldn't know until I'm in it. Depends how I feel about the person. and he wasn't ever been disrespectful
Starting point is 00:45:15 he understands that there's a lot of women and men out there that do this sort of stuff purely for financial gain and it's their job and it's safe which I think fear fucks absolutely however we have said and we've had a few messages from you guys as well there's a lot of you that against your man watching porn
Starting point is 00:45:32 which is fine and we've discussed that on a previous episode really in depth but it's I think when you're paying for something it's far different If I realized Richard, which I know he watches porn, I'm totally cool with it because I do. So I have no, nothing to stand on. It doesn't affect our sex life and if it did, then it would be a problem. Yeah, I get you.
Starting point is 00:45:54 But I found out he was paying for someone's content when he could have it for free, that is damn right, wrong. And I know it's affected a lot of marriages, a lot of relationships. It becomes an almost addiction. porn has this sort of place in young boys and women's mind that it's like a false scenario and a false situation and expectation of what sex really is. It definitely sets up a false expectation for sure. And I know that there's some people that can watch porn
Starting point is 00:46:23 that can learn things from a young age. They come like, oh, I don't know how to do X, Y, Z, but... Educational. It's all this fake amateur sort of porn where they're actors. They are actors, basically. They are acting. They, they, it's giving you false expectations of what sex is. There's no mishaps in it.
Starting point is 00:46:42 There's no people ejaculating early or, you know, things just, you can't get it up. You don't see any of that sort of stuff. So. They're squirting things out of their vagina. Squirting yet. That's, that, I'm sorry, that's fake. I don't know. I know that can happen, right?
Starting point is 00:46:59 But a lot of what you're watching is fake. Yeah, it's just dramatized for this. And it gives men. I don't want to just stereotype men because I think that's really unfair, but a lot of men probably sadistically watch porn over women, I would say. I think the sort of logistical ways of pleasure with men
Starting point is 00:47:19 is very black and white. You do that, you come. Yeah. That's it, right? Whereas women, there's a lot more ways to pleasure them, I guess. Yeah. So I think that's why it's different when men watch it a lot because there's loads of different things you can be doing
Starting point is 00:47:39 or you think you should be doing or you think they would like whereas men maybe is just sort of like the one movement makes the one thing happen. Does that make sense? It does. I don't know if it's more like scientifically. And going back to her sort of point as well where she's like, I don't really understand he watches it
Starting point is 00:47:55 but he's not happy with it. Is watching porn sort of a release for people where it's a monogamous relationship? So is it something that's, wired into our brains that watching something else outside of your comfort people see it is well they get off on it because that's respectful because we're not designed to be with one person for our whole life even though a lot of us want to be we're not as humans that's not how we're meant to be so it's natural to kind of have that sort of release I don't know it's difficult because I know people I think I would agree with her I kind of think in her situation she did a couple of things for financial gain I couldn't do it now
Starting point is 00:48:41 that's done you've got what you needed from that it's kind of over What's Sugar Daddy meaning? Why? Just where she got some money from someone online that she never met I don't really think that's that deep no that's what I mean so I kind of feel like he's a bit unfair in this situation
Starting point is 00:48:55 but I would definitely if he watches porn all the time and wouldn't go with a porn star that's where it's difficult yeah it's like who do you think's making these then like do you think they just don't want to be with anyone because of their job yeah of course and I do know that women in the sex industry struggle they really do struggle yeah like we've got friends who struggle to stay in relationships because the guys can't handle the job or they don't like it and
Starting point is 00:49:30 because we see it from the sex workers' side and know that that's just our job, it is a shame because it really doesn't mean anything different to us. But I think it is just, as you said, especially if it's physically, physical action. I'm not, I can't be with someone who's going and shagging other people. That is difficult. Also, when they come home, could they be asked to shag you? I know. And how are they having sex with you?
Starting point is 00:49:59 Is it meaningless like it is in their... That's what I was going to see it. Or is it, do you think to yourself, are you acting right now? Is this how you act with that person like that? There's a faint mind going on. Or is it real intense passion? I don't know. It is a difficult one and it's not because you're against it.
Starting point is 00:50:14 And it's a shame because I feel the same as him in the sense of if I flip the narrative, I wouldn't really want to date a guy that's in it. But it's not, I'm judging him for his job. It's just, I don't know. It's difficult, isn't it? Somebody's messages anyway. We've had quite a few messages. but somebody said, I answered yes to dating a sex worker, but as a former stripper, I totally
Starting point is 00:50:35 understand why it's difficult to date people in the sex industry. You need a lot of trust, a lot of transparency, and also be securing yourself to date someone who is a sex worker. However, if I hadn't been in and around the industry and the fact it is actually just a job, then I would definitely have answered no before I had the experience and knowledge that I do. I think there are still boundaries in terms of what you'd be comfortable with your partner doing, even if you've accepted it's their job. That's interesting. Do you know what that made me think of, actors?
Starting point is 00:51:04 Yeah, when they have to go and kiss other actors all the time, pretend they're having sex. I know maybe it's different and they're not necessarily doing it. Obviously, like, I don't imagine the fucking willies inside the vagina for a sex scene, do you know what I mean? It's obviously just angles and professionalism. However, there's a lot of your kissing going on because you need to say that. It's kind of the same thing.
Starting point is 00:51:28 And also, there's a lot of... stories of these actors actually fall in love with one another in these steamy scenes. Well, exactly. Somebody's wrote. Each of their own, but I think porn has evolved over the years and become much more intense. There are mixed views on females in the industry
Starting point is 00:51:41 as to whether they are there because they enjoy it or if it's out of desperateness. Usually it is the latter and a very sad reality that often gets shunned aside. Women are not often depicted in a respectful way, but objectified which can be harmful if men are exposed to this regularly from a young age, such as teenagehood,
Starting point is 00:51:57 which is what we were saying. Of course, Everyone dabbles when they are young and maybe young adults also, but there's something that doesn't sit well or bod well with grown men that still need to watch porn. It's not masculine at all and very weak as men back in the day, such as my father-in-law and my fiancé's partner, never thought of pornography as something they needed to turn to. Instead, made other use of their time, such as work very hard for their family, took their wives and mothers of their children as the only women they had eyes for. And genuinely didn't need to look elsewhere. That makes sense. Once you have kids, it does reshape the entire way you look at other.
Starting point is 00:52:29 and how porn is so normalized nowadays. Nothing good comes out of it, only addiction to porn which again is crippling as friends of ours have gone through it and come out the other side saying it's tall their relationship and their trust for one another and their connection with one another too. Ideally, porn has no place in a relationship
Starting point is 00:52:46 that is funded on a mutual respect and love and that might be the unpopular opinion in this current climate, but oh well, couples who don't partake in this do exist and it's not as bad as it sounds to live in a household without porn. I think that's a really good way of looking at it at a different angle as well. I definitely agree with that too. Like I do kind of think, like I definitely am not against it in any way, but I do think people probably do use it too much.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Like see because it's there and it's a free, a lot of people are using the free service side of it, right? You probably are thinking like people subconsciously probably are choosing to do that out of ease over making the effort with a partner. Even the ones who aren't noticing it, affecting their sex life, why are
Starting point is 00:53:36 people still choosing that over just having sex with a partner? Obviously when they're unavailable, fair enough maybe you've got a long dish relationship, etc., etc., that is all fair. We've not got a lot of time together. But
Starting point is 00:53:51 you just wonder if you're thinking of a typical couple or working 95, you're both then and the house at night when the fuck are you doing that I know I don't actually watch porn regularly at all actually and if I do it's lesbian porn which we know I've spoke about
Starting point is 00:54:07 yeah I don't get off I don't get off on Willys that's not Richards I think that's absolutely fair enough they're not attractive in any way right so let's just read a couple more and we can always carry this on to next week's episode
Starting point is 00:54:22 because I feel like there's a lot going on on social media at the moment around only fans workers, sex workers. There's a couple of females in particular, which I personally don't want to give any more air time than what they've got because I know it's interesting and people want to talk about it on a podcast because it's a trending topic
Starting point is 00:54:39 and people want to know their opinions. However, my opinion is you are feeding into what they want. This is their marketing strategy. They are going on these podcasts. They're more of like a rage bait that they're doing. They are getting people to go on to their only fans. and subscribe and see this explicit, crazy jaw-dropping content.
Starting point is 00:54:59 And the more you guys are talking about it and mentioning their name across social media and making clips of it, more boys, they don't give a fuck what you're saying. They don't care about females' opinion. All they're doing is clicking on that link in her bio and subscribing and giving her more fucking money. So let's just actually be a bit more clever up here
Starting point is 00:55:18 and switched on and understand that this woman is smart. She knows what she's doing. And if you don't agree with it, and fine, but stop talking about it. Stop giving them their air time. I really respect people's opinion on it, though. And I think everyone's right and I've listened to both sides, but I just think it needs to stop.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Do you agree? People are just jumping on it now. Yeah, and it's become a little buzzword. Yeah, definitely. And you know what, I'm pissed off because I absolutely love that name as well, and that was one of my baby names, and it's not happening now. Well, by the way, so true. It was, wasn't it?
Starting point is 00:55:54 not happening now this is a good message I've never watched porn with my partner but know that he does sometimes I've tried it not really my thing but what is my thing and I'd be curious to know if anyone else is like this I'm currently getting my porn from reading
Starting point is 00:56:07 oh a coat of thorns the serious chestnut springs about cowboys has changed the game for me and waking my partner up in the middle of the night wanting sex because they're so graphic in the books highly recommend yes that is a very valid point it is
Starting point is 00:56:23 if you've ever watched a movie where it's got a bit of a like a tusty scene in it I'm always a bit looking at Richard like oh yo I know and I say a bit like I could do that is that just the same sort of thing though
Starting point is 00:56:34 actors it's something scripted yeah I guess so but reading I think is definitely where the porn's at by the way there's a lot of erotic novels out there now and there's something about reading it have you seen that viral TikTok going around or that girl doing a washing her pots
Starting point is 00:56:50 and you should listen to her audio book no and it's I think it is a court of thorns and it's a male's voice and obviously they're really good on the audiobooks aren't they yeah and he's like I'm gonna say it because it's so graphic but she sort of like smashes a plate down and it's like I'm gonna do this to you and her and she's like when you're just going about your day and then your audiobook just to end you on we need to get on that I've never listened to an audiobook if I don't like their voice I'm out 10 seconds in I think I don't really want someone reading a story to me I want to read it I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:57:24 I've never watched porn with a partner but when I was at uni I lived with my boyfriend at the time in private student halls and I used to use his laptop occasionally if I was in his room and had to check my rotor for work or something one day I was being nosy
Starting point is 00:57:37 and I had a look at his internet history and I saw he had been looking at the Facebook photos of a girl that we both knew and then straight after had went on to Pornhub I instantly felt sick as he had mentioned to me before
Starting point is 00:57:50 that he found her attractive I thought to myself How am I going to pull him up about this Without him knowing I was being nosy looking at his search yesterday So basically the next day when we were in his room I said to him can I borrow your laptop to check my work rota And I said out loud I'll just go on to the history as I checked it last week
Starting point is 00:58:06 I then pretended I just came across it there and then And confronted him about it He didn't realise at all that I had been stupid And he felt really awful We did get over it but broke up a few months later So he admitted he wanked over a mate well the issue with that is he's obviously looking at someone he finds attractive
Starting point is 00:58:26 and then going on to watch porn but that's with the attention of thinking about her oh I'm not sure I could get over that I'm sorry and I know people do it I know people have sex and they imagine someone else when the lights are off these things happen but when I actually have it in black and white and it's there I just don't know I can get over it I'm sorry no I know
Starting point is 00:58:47 I don't know That's a tough one Somebody actually messages as well And they just said I actually watch porn regularly But I found out my partner watched porn and I went absolutely apes and I didn't speak to him for two days
Starting point is 00:59:00 Such double standards I just Honestly I feel like I know I'm not a porn star So I'm not offended Because I'm not doing what you're watching I never will be
Starting point is 00:59:14 Did you see someone asking the question box that they thought that the next question box on the story is going to be me asking for people's porn categories. Lesbian porn, milf porn, you name it, gang bang. Oh, no, I'm not into that. No. We also had loads of responses on the box as well. We actually do really love it though when you message us a longer message.
Starting point is 00:59:36 But the poll, was it a poll you wrote, Zoe? Yeah, a couple, yeah. So for anyone also in a relationship, watching porn, not sure how to feel, blah, blah, blah. we asked some questions so we've got some polls here would you date a sex worker only fans etc
Starting point is 00:59:54 all of the above right 4% said yes and 96% said no oh yeah it makes me so sad but I also totally get it I know and you know what I think the sex workers would understand that too I think they get it as well
Starting point is 01:00:12 it's just shite anyway for those who answers know to date and a sex worker, do you watch porn? 35% do watch porn and 65 don't. It's a big percentage who don't watch it. I don't really feel like many people around me probably do either though that are in relationships, to be fair. I'm not a consumer of it but I would watch it. I wouldn't watch with my partner but I'm intrigued. A few people write that they were saying I'm not against you but I would quite like to watch my partner because I've heard
Starting point is 01:00:42 it gets you going. I've never done it. I'd probably be quite nervous to suggest it and also So, God's sake, I'd be overwhelmed having to pick the right one. It's that for me. It's the let's put the porn on and then you're shitting for age. He's picking a good one. It's just like watching a sex scene in the movie, isn't it? I know, but I would rather, in my head, think, let's put a movie on. I know there's a sexy bit in it.
Starting point is 01:01:02 That gets you on. Whereas the actual picking of the porn for me, I've ruined the mood. Yeah. The moment's over. Yeah. But I don't think people find that, but I kind of find it's quite a, the moment comes and you go for it I feel like once you kill it's dead
