So for straightforward legal advice, remember Watermans.
Happy Tuesday.
Happy Tuesday.
Podpiggies.
Me and Zoe are twinning today with...
Benham.
With Brittany and Justin.
I think I'm Justin in this situation.
100%.
I'm Brittany.
My double denim doesn't actually go, but beggars can't be choosers in this life.
I love it from us.
The sun is shining.
It is today and it's going to be an absolute scorcher of a week for Glasgow again,
which is perfect to listen to our painful episode last week,
which is the first episode that means that we never listen back to
because we were too busy with our amazing event.
But we listen back to the pronunciations of things in our...
and how I butcher everything with my accent
but this looks hard
I don't know anyone who wouldn't have butchered
at least half of them like how do you know
how to say all those things I'm not sure
but I thought you might because you're Scottish
never heard of them never mind
announcing them right
but anyway we've created an incredible Google map
which we probably will share before
the newsletter on our stories because
we've pinned everything
and if the weather's nice yeah exactly we're really
useful for you guys to actually
utilize this week but by the time this episode is out
It might be raining, but we'll post it probably tomorrow,
so you'll see it by the time this episode's out.
Hope you enjoyed it.
And we hope you enjoyed the episode, because it's actually quite a good episode.
What, Gilead, whatever it's called?
That's like Gilead from Handmaid's Tale.
What was the beach that Alan said to me,
and I listened back to it this morning,
and I was like, that is definitely not what he says,
Balmaha.
Balmaha.
Balmaha.
But I was like, Valama.
Never what I said.
But anyway, give a fuck.
I hope it helped some of you.
I'm sure they didn't look up.
Yeah.
And piece the puzzle together, you know?
Yeah, absolutely.
It's going to figure out there's spell after your pronunciation.
Oh, no, don't.
But we're just trying to help the people.
I think we're very helpful.
I do.
Especially you.
You're good at all that research and all that.
I was actually just trying to sit here and research about the differences
between all the magnesiums that we take
because it's like a buzzware at the moment.
It's the vitamin to take.
And I do love magnesium.
But do you know what?
I'm going to be completely honest.
I've never really looked into the differences
and types of magnesium.
magnesiums because there are so many out there.
So I'm going to actually have a little look into it next week
and maybe share the differences in what would work.
Because I feel like everyone just takes any old thing
and they're like, oh, I'll just take a magnesium,
but you're probably taking the wrong one for your body.
I agree that's exactly what I do.
And as our diet in general, we lack it.
Bananas are really high in magnesium, by the way.
I have a banana most days.
Well, you'll be fine then, honey.
You're rolling in it.
It's been rolling under magnesium.
If you are on Patreon, you'll know that there's a certain,
and somebody that we really wanted to get on the pod
that's what I'm going to say
that said person has got in touch with us
I think that's bloody brilliant by the
and somebody else that we really would like to get on the pod
that we've been promising you guys for ages
not necessarily a specific person
but somebody that's knowledgeable
and educated around this very important topic
so yeah we're going to hopefully have two
incredible guests in the near future
yes love it for us we can get a rest shut up for an hour
oh yeah just shut the fuck up anyway
anywho we did an amazing wellness spread event
two days ago it was so good
it went so well I was I would go as far as saying I was pleasantly surprised
I know that's not that enthusiastic but it's all I can say
do you know what it was right the fact that I guess normally our normal events
we were hyper up for ages and ages we're very aware that we never spoke about this
once on the podcast it was such a like
minute thing there's been a lot a lot going on but we really wanted to make this
happen and we want it to be in the summer and this was really the only date we could
that we could get you're not doing a wellness spread November though do you know
I mean no we know for next year because we definitely want to do it again yeah and so
many of you have messages saying that you're on holiday or you couldn't make it because
it was so last minute and we get that we literally put the tickets out two
and a half weeks before and expecting you to be free how rude of us well I mean
loads of you wear so thanks sometimes yeah thanks for that but next year I'm
I'm thinking we do it again.
Yeah.
But around March, April time,
maybe after Easter eggs,
when everyone's had, you know,
indulge on the chocolate.
I think that's when people
who, like us,
two weeks before your holiday,
think, fuck, I better get skinny now.
That's when people actually start doing it.
Like, that's when, see all these 12-week programs
that people do.
I feel like they all start
around then. February, March.
Yeah, yeah.
To get your summer ready.
But it's not even about anything to do with that,
actually. Our event was nothing to do with that.
It was more an overall wellness.
But we do think if you are into,
you don't want to come to one of our events where it's just booze, booze,
booze and great times.
But, yeah, we wanted to do something a bit different.
And we split it across two different sessions,
one for mum and baby,
which is something that where I'm at in my life,
if you'd have told me a year ago
that I'd be doing an event with 35 kids in the room,
and I told you to get right fucking out of it.
That's how I felt.
Yeah, it was crazy.
I was like, actually, do you know what?
I was about like, is this going to be difficult?
because I'm not massive on kids apart from ones in my life, obviously, right?
Which I know most people are the same.
Yeah.
But there was no peep at any of those babies.
They were silent.
Like, were they okay?
People coming up to was like, that was the most well-behaved session ever.
Even all the businesses were like, what on earth?
That was so wholesome.
The whole two hours was so zen, so wholesome.
Like the mum's had time to go and enjoy everything else.
Like, it was so peaceful.
Yeah.
It was quiet.
And you know, the two.
ticket options. It was come, you can come with your friend or you could be pregnant,
mum and baby. I said to Zoe, I reckon about 10 or 15 babies will turn up and everyone
else would be pregnant. There was about seven or eight pregnant girls, maybe more. And
then everyone else had to baby. And the prams. I was like, oh my God. But it was so chill.
And they were amazing. Some girlies were like four, four to six weeks postpartum. I kept saying
to them like, well done. Came on their own. I thought that's so brave. And they were just like,
This is just, there's nothing really like this.
Yeah.
Well, there is baby classes, but it's not to this extent.
And I really enjoyed it, actually.
I think it having more going on than just you being on a mat with your baby
makes it a bit less intimidating maybe.
Yeah.
Because regardless of what you and your baby are up to, there's quite a lot happening.
So you don't really feel seen.
Totally.
Whereas, like, if you go to a class and there's only maybe four or five moms there.
Mm-hmm.
It's like, you're in the conversation, aren't you?
Yeah, totally.
And that's maybe not for everyone.
Yeah.
But it was great.
And in the second session, I was like, right, babies out, tunes are up.
Get the fucking tunes up.
And I would say there was probably, and do you know what, in hindsight,
me and Zoe are actually really glad that this event didn't like completely sell out
because you put capacity tickets for people just come in general, like not actually come to a class.
Yeah.
And we're so glad it was how it was because it was so busy.
Enough.
Sorry, busy enough, nice busy.
It was just a nice amount.
Everyone could experience what they wanted to without like not.
been able to because there's too many folk there agree and every time we do an event we learn things
about what what can get better and we're going to definitely do the Christmas markets again
that's a hint for you but bigger and better but we know from last time that it was too busy
yeah so this time we'll make sure that everybody is able to see each small business um
I think we'll be better doing two nights versus two sessions so that you come and you're just there
yeah that's nice you don't need to leave because the problem was the last one you had to leave but it was so busy not everyone got to get round the full thing so they didn't want to leave yeah much i thank Firefox because there was amazing people there yeah but we needed you to it so let me do that anyway let's thank a few people yeah let's do it that made it happen okay so the first session was hosted by nest which is a place now in glasgow where it's very aesthetically pleasing shall have be
So we went and visited, didn't we, had a little meeting with a place that you can go
where they do hold lots of different classes like baby yoga Pilates, baby dance classes,
bar classes, just coffee sessions, play sessions, things like that.
Anyway, so Jenny, who runs Ness, she taught the yoga class.
And then Kirstein did the Pilates in the second session.
She was absolutely lovely.
So that was really nice.
I like the mom's got to do both.
Yeah.
Like we did it definitely so that there was no pressure.
like say you turned up and your kid was kicking off then and you missed the yoga you could still do
and that did happen to a couple of people but most of them just sat with their babies here the
whole time we got involved both them it was cute actually and then in between those sessions we had
Lindsay from hypniburthing and Rosie Davies who's a pelvic floor specialist she yeah we had a little
chat but with them both on the stage at the same time just a little bit about my experience with
hypniburthing and having Lindsay's my dola but she also just tried to encourage any pregnant
galleries in the room that, you know, you can do this and just to be a bit more. It's not that
scary narrative of screaming and pain. And then Rosie spoke all about pelvic floor and
pooing, actually. She was a big believer in the poo stool, which I loved. And just like,
people getting back intimacy after having a baby. And overall, just your pelvic health, whether
you've had a baby or not, because Rosie hasn't had children. And she was just saying, like,
I'm really into it. And it's all important. Like, you know, if you do,
pee when you sneeze or you laugh you know there may be something that we could help you with
so it was really a very interesting conversation that was had and then the businesses around the
room that you could go into um when they were not on were we had loads of people they were there for
session one and session two so we had all of flowers we could make your own bouquet or buy a nice few bunch
of peonies Rebecca Allen podiatry who was the gate analysis yeah we had a treadmill in there
was good quite a lot of people were getting that done were they I really wish I wanted to do that
actually didn't have time.
Then we had Amy from Urban Retreat
who partnered with Ishka
to do the hand in arm massages or the scalp massage.
We also had conversations with Polly, your mum.
Yeah.
She had quite a lot of people go to her by the way.
I love that.
You could have like 10 minute taster therapy
if you wanted to take you into like a private room
but it was just more like let's just have a chat
and if you want to just have an introduction
of what she can offer and what, you know,
you might want to talk about.
But yeah, loads of people went in with her.
It was really nice actually.
I think it almost been put right in front of you for people.
Maybe encourages you more.
Because it's like if you're the one that needs to reach out
or find someone online,
it's then like, I bet you go to do it and you just constantly put it off.
Then we had Kaylee, who was on the podcast from Archie Joy Financial Planning.
And she had a little like finance quiz that would show you what your score was basically
and how good or shit you weren't at your finances.
Glad I didn't take that.
I did not take that.
Although she has sort of made up my pension think,
Yeah, I know me too.
So if you need to sort of your pension
or yourself employed and don't know
way to start or need to pull them all together.
Yeah, she did that for us.
Yeah.
We had juicid in our fresh juices
and yogurt and granola bowls
overnight oats.
Yep.
We then had Megan, who we did a Q&A with
who was on the podcast, Megan McGrory,
but she also had her...
Love her.
Space to create jewelry brand
which is the wee, like, unlock the key necklace
that I love so much.
Got my mum one as well and your mum bought one today.
Oh, did she?
Yeah.
Cute.
Plant blonde.
We could decorate your own.
Empire Biscuit. They were great.
They were such good energy.
Everyone just fucking buzzes off plant blood, don't me?
It was good fun.
I mean, I understand it so da.
We then had stretched who were doing a mobility assessment,
so you basically squatted.
In front of like an iPad.
And it told you what your...
So my score was 34%.
I didn't do it.
He said the only thing that was good about me
was my posture, which I think is terrible.
But they said, yeah, I'm very tight.
But I think that's a lot down to the fact that how I sleep at night now.
But I'm going to definitely 100% go.
there. The reviews are meant to be insane
and they're opening in Edinburgh soon and I think they're going to
go down south to Manchester way. Yeah, they are.
The first place in Glasgow that does assistive stretching.
Yep. And then we had Jade Mordainty
doing tarot card readings.
Wow. I did this
as well. Were you working there or you
just fucking did everything? I went when it was over.
Yeah, I loved it. It was very interesting.
She said that she hovers over cards and it
feels very freezing cold.
And I kid you not, every single person that did it,
especially some friends of mine that were there
were like, oh my God, the things that she could say and know that was going on in my life,
like she doesn't know me at all, because Jade does know a little bit about me.
But what she does is she asks you, what do you want to know?
And I said to her, I really want to know where my life is going in terms of my professional life.
I didn't ask anything about motherhood or my relationship.
I wanted to know about that because that is something that I've always probably been a little bit like,
what is that?
And she just said, you need to find your why.
And, you know, you've got your podcast, but what's Jess?
like what's the brand of Jess and what do you want to do and I was like well that's the thing
I don't know it's really difficult for me at the moment yeah tell me what it is I said now I've
got a bloody child it's tough but yeah she was just like a bit of structure and I think that's
why at first I was like oh my god need to do it sounds amazing and then the more people that were
saying it's so accurate I think it scared me yeah I think I don't know if I want to know
it's a bit like a star sign isn't it and I really like star signs but you could find
probably relevance in anything and that's the whole point of them yeah exactly they
relate to everybody's life in some way.
But you're all quite into going to psychics and stuff, I'm not.
Yeah, I've been to one and it was bang on.
And everything that they said happened.
And also a big massive thank you to Richard, Jax and Amy for taking the three classes.
They were so brilliant.
We also had Lulu Lemon give us all of the yoga mat.
So thank you so much to Lulu Lemon for lending us those for the event.
It's very kind of you.
And Aaron Aramatics for giving us a wee organic doodin for everyone taking part in class.
Yep, it was all on your map.
That was super cute.
And then we did our first ever merch.
Yeah.
We have had slash still have a lot on your plate brandied tote bags.
By the way, is there a way we can sell them on our website,
on our Instagram?
Absolutely, we're going to look into that.
But if you were there on the day and you bought one,
you got a couple little ministers from Iska.
Yes.
Which was gorgeous.
A marine cream.
Love it.
Unbelievable.
And then we had our sponsors, Watermans there.
Yes, thank you so much.
Who were giving out chocolate strawberries all over the place
and they were gorgeous.
We also had power placenta labs there as well
talking about if you wanted to encapsulate your placenta.
There was a few little bits of information about that.
And thanks to all of you for coming.
Yeah, thank you.
We love you very much.
We'll give us a gorgeous day.
We'll do it again, very soon.
Speaking of events.
Oh, shit.
We've got another one.
We've quite a few events this year
because you know what?
We like giving you a good time.
We've given away what one of them is at the end.
We're not doing our big Christmas night out.
No.
We're not doing that.
We're doing the markets this year because it's a lot for us.
It is a lot.
I also think, I know everyone likes a party,
but everyone's got a lot of parties at that time of year anyway.
And our preference would be to partner with more businesses
than we could last year and to just give you the market again
because everyone loved it so much.
And just to make it run better, more enjoyable.
Yeah.
And we'll obviously be there chatting here and there and everywhere throughout it anyway.
Yeah.
And also, you can get drinks at bad, so you can make it a night out if you want.
Anyway, the next event, bank holiday, Sunday and August, the 24th, and it's a boozy brunch again.
The boozy brunch is back, bitches.
Yeah!
All of you thought that still love getting pissed.
Because it was like...
We're ready.
Ghost last time.
Yeah.
Gushed, ghost.
Gushed.
And now it's in Maison by Glass of Who.
Of course.
So cool in there, by the way.
That's where I had my baby shower.
but it's not in that small room it's hopefully we're going to take the whole restaurant the whole restaurant
but it's a nice even though as a restaurant it's a really nicely done bar yeah so it's like we're going to have
some dancers there DJ just a really good time and nice food yep so tickets you need it to come
the tickets are out tomorrow Wednesday the 16th general sale however if you're listening to this
and you're over on Patreon

a little secret little
a little chat but go and get your tickets now
if you are Patreon we'll make sure we give you a little reminder
and tomorrow tickets will be live at 9am
the 16th on Wednesday

this is our only boozy get together
this year. Okay, so let's do it. There's also one more event happening in October, but that is
top secret. And it's an exclusive invite only, so just think about what you might need to do
to get involved. And all we're going to say is just check your emails close to the time. Anyway,
we've banged enough about events. And we really hope if you are listening to this far and wide
and you're not from here, we really hope that you can make one of our events one day. So if we tell you
in advance and you are maybe, I don't know, you live in Glasgow, but you live in Australia,
something and you are home for Christmas, you're coming home. We would really love to meet you one day.
Are you looking to buy your first home and don't know where to start?
Well, don't worry, our friends at Watermans will do all of that stuff for you.
They won't be packing your boxes for you, but they'll do everything else.
So for straightforward, legal advice, remember Watermans.
Right, quick update. Then I went to Kefalonia.
You've been in your holidays and you're back.
It was gorgeous. You'll have seen it on Instagram. I've saved it to a highlight.
lots of updates in terms of like traveling with a baby.
If you want to look at that,
please just look at that because I wrote it all on there.
I love Fredo cappuccinos, guys.
Can you explain that to me?
Yeah.
So it's like the,
do you remember in COVID when everyone did that coffee sugar
and they whipped it and it was like massive?
It became with D.
What was it like,
DeLongy coffee or something?
Anyway, it's like basically like that,
but they whip it in a proper sort of milkshake maker.
Then they froth the milk as well.
And then they also put,
and just normal espresso in it.
So it's like coffee froth, coffee, frothy milk.
Oh, it's so good.
So will I really get that in Crete when I go?
Yes, everywhere.
Ask for an iced Fredo cappuccino.
Well, what I will say, Zoe is.
Strong.
No, yes.
But I had about five across the week at different places
and there was definitely one that was far superior than the others.
The best, right, okay?
So I'll need to try and test them at different places.
I think you'll like it because you like ice coffee.
But you can't have a decaf.
I had a girl next to me or doing one of a decaf version.
It needs to be decaf for me.
I don't think you can do it with oat milk though.
That's fine.
I'm after.
Because they froth it.
I also had lots of like fried cheeses with the sesame and the honey.
Brilliant.
The heat, guys, in Europe if you're going away,
especially if you're going away with the baby, it is beyond intense.
I'm a sun pig.
I love it.
That is the one thing I will say.
I really struggled.
I was a bit stressed about making sure I was keeping him cool.
It's tough going.
How do you know if you are, though?
You don't really.
I just made sure I always kept him in the shade as much as possible.
Aircon, if he was going in the sea.
He loves the water, so that's a saving grace, really.
Love dipping in the pool, dipping in the sea.
Yeah, yeah.
And the all-in-one swimsuits that you put them in,
they kind of stay wet so it keeps him cool.
Yeah.
Pram fan, save my life.
Just shit like that, really.
And this is a bit boozy, right?
But I had a can of Evian on, you know, the mist spray bottle.
Yeah.
I had a fridge of an eye and B&B.
I kept that, and then I took a little.
little cool bag. I'll just bought it from Primark like a pound little cool bag.
Took it with some ice packs with their Evian and just kept misting him and he bloody loved it.
I take that in holiday every year. Do you? That would be spray. Yeah. Yeah. Love it.
Well, it doesn't need to be everyone. You could probably put bottled water in and keep it in a fridge.
But it's just the mist applicator on it is so nice.
It's not like squirting you in the face. It's nice.
So that was a really good thing for me to take. I took a few fans. I took a hand fan. I look with
portable fan and the pram fan so i always had something on if the battery went and yeah peffalona
is beautiful i think it's definitely a very underrated greek island by the by the looks of it it seemed
not very touristy at which i think is brilliant i was going to say was it busy like did it feel like
holidaygoers were there yeah in certain places scala which is like the south of the island there was
definitely a lot of brits um and then there was a place called fiscardo at the top in the north
which is like an original fishing sort of village
which wasn't ruined by the earthquake
back in, God, I can't remember
so it's got quite a lot of like
the Venetian-y sort of buildings, original things there.
Quite a lot of history.
And that's where celebs go.
Tom Hanks has been seen there.
Sarah Jessica Parker.
Lots of yachts.
That sort of vibe.
Anyway, walking down the harbour
and there was a massive, gorgeous yacht,
two gorgeous women at the top.
top. They were probably in their like 60s. They were just glamour. I hope that sounds
one day. Yeah. I was like, sleigh babies. Anyway, the two men standing below the yacht,
so standing actually on the path where all the peasants were walking, including us.
And Richard had his top off.
Obviously, why not? Duh. Sanky moot. Any excuse. And this guy was like, cool tats.
And Richard was like, oh, thank you. And he didn't have a little chit-chat with him.
and I was like oh is this your yacht just having a casual chat and he's like yeah it's
mine it's massive by the way I'm talking like a million of pounds and he said oh that's nice
who's freya because that was on the boat he's like it's my granddaughter she actually
face-time yesterday saying granddad are you on my yacht anyway chatting away and I thought this guy's
lovely and richard's chat did this other cool cool guy he looked cool as fuck and we walk away
And he said to me, he bought it for myself in retirement.
And Rich went, oh, do you know that was?
I was like, no.
He went, that's Ewan McGregor's best, mate.
I was like, I know Ewee McGregor, but I would have had no idea.
And it was Charlie Borman.
Charlie Borman, yeah.
Yeah.
And he was really nice.
So Charlie and, but basically it wasn't Charlie's boat.
He's actually just brought out another program with E.
McGregor apparently on Apple on Prime TV at the moment.
It's just come out like this week, I think.
Right.
I've probably did years ago and they've done it again.
Is that right?
So they done one originally called The Long Way Round,
which was they started in London and motorbite around the world.
Yeah.
And then they've done one called The Long Way Up,
which was from the South of America, up to Alaska or something.
And now they're doing the long way home,
which I think is they're going from Scotland,
where you're McGregor's from and Perth down to somewhere else.
Right, yeah, because he's Scottish, isn't he?
This guy wasn't Scottish.
Charlie wasn't Scottish, was it?
No.
So cool.
So lovely.
But the guy who I was speaking to,
I won't say his name, obviously.
I don't really know who it was.
but Richard seems to think he's something to do with maybe the production of it.
I don't know, but he was the one with him, already.
But do you know what?
I love when you meet famous people and they are so sound.
Yeah.
And Rich, because Rich said he made a comment to him about something.
So he knew that he knew who he was.
So it wasn't awkward.
And he said he was just a really nice guy.
So yeah.
Love that.
Yeah, I love when you meet someone like that.
You should say, you know, I know what I didn't know who it was until I walked away.
I would never have known.
You know what I mean?
I'm chatting out.
asking everything and asking his finances the lot.
How did you afford that then?
That's why I'm surprised you're setting here
now on that yacht.
I thought the same thing.
I thought you like his stats.
Let's get on for a bare fridge.
And he said he was just travelling around
all of the Greek islands and interestingly
I said, where's your favourite?
And he goes, I bloody love it here.
He said, I think he likes being more offshore
in terms of like just anchoring down
enjoying the clear blue sea
as opposed to being on land.
But he said he loved all of the Greek islands
and they were sailing away for like a few weeks with his wife
and then I think Charlie and his wife were on there
just enjoying it with some friends I guess
I know and I did think to myself right
how the other half live how the other half live
because we also experienced the yacht port in Kefalonia
and we went down it and they were super duper duper
yacht so it and what you can do is if you can
if you actually type in the name of the yacht into Google
did you know this you can actually see who owns it
no yeah they're all registered to not necessarily
who owns them now but like who has owned it in the past or sometimes it tells you who it is it's like a company's house for yachts basically love it but they were all like oil tycoons retail yeah big dogs one guy was from like Japan and it was the weirdest looking yacht I've ever seen in my life I'll share it to a story actually but it looked like some sort of transformer crazy crazy crazy I honestly don't think you even are close to understanding how rich people are yeah do you know what I mean but it's a whole of the world don't you think that's what I mean no they're living on
on sea most of their life.
That's crazy.
Most of their life.
I couldn't be out on the sea like that often,
but I'll take the yacht.
Yeah.
Like I'll meet you at the yacht.
Yeah.
Do what I mean?
But that's it.
That's all my updates, really, for you?
Because I could go on all day about Cephalonia,
but I've shared it all,
so please check it out.
I really recommend it.
It's a lovely island.
The Greeks are so friendly.
They love kids.
Jensen was incredible on his first Hollybubbs.
The flight wasn't as dawned.
as I thought, I really recommend it.
And so many people said to me, it's a really good time to go
before they crawl, walk everywhere, you can kind of eat in peace.
He's getting very inquisitive about what's on my fork already.
I'm like, good God.
I'm not really looking at it.
That's a sign that they're kind of ready for weaning
is when they've got a really good posture,
like they can sit up, which he nearly can,
and they're sort of taking interest in what you're put into your mouth
and things like that.
What the hell?
Yeah. Anyway, how are you?
Honestly, I wish I had something exciting to tell you, but I don't.
Okay. That's fine.
I've got...
He-ho.
Three things here to say, right?
Queen management turn two.
That's one of them.
Oh, right, love you.
I'm clutching at straws.
Quinn management turned two.
Congratulations to her.
Congratulations, that way.
Thank you.
I went to the food market, right?
Which we spoke about loads.
But, you know, I've never done there?
Have you ever had the pizza?
The pizza pie guy?
The pizza pie guy.
Nope.
And the van in the corner.
It was a bit too early for me to have a pizza, that's why.
Yeah, I'm always a bit of that as well.
It's always more like a pastry or something I get.
But it was a bit later.
It's the best pizza.
I'm going to say potentially that I've ever had in my life.
Really?
Can't explain it.
It was just a margarita.
We actually loved it so much.
We went on another one.
Wow.
It was amazing.
Is it only like an uni?
Yeah.
I actually knew the girl that was working on it as well.
You know that way when you look at someone and you come back, you turn back.
But it still doesn't click.
So I must have looked to say if I'd seen a ghost
and I was, I'm so sorry, but I just,
like, she works at one of the brands that I've done work for.
So then seeing her there, I couldn't, like, piece together who it was,
if you know what I'm not used to see her there.
But it was unbelievable.
So if you go to this food market and you've not tried it, please try it.
Well, there'll be queue down the bloody street next month then.
I know.
So influential.
And then the only other big thing that happened in my life
was Cookie had to get sedated at the vets and it ruined my day.
You were really stressed about this, weren't you?
I cried the whole journey there and the whole journey back.
So what's wrong with her?
Well, what was wrong with her?
No, it's still a problem.
Oh.
I know.
Only, and I'm not being like, oh, everything happens to me, right?
Because I'm not really that sort of person.
I think good things and bad things happen to everyone.
But only my dog would have ingrown eyelashes.
Her bottom eyelashes are grown, instead of like, out and down,
they're growing out and up.
So they're scratching an eye.
Oh.
So she had an ulcer in her eye.
We don't know where that came from.
whether it was the lashes but the lashes
were causing it to not be able to heal. Can we give her
a little wee LVL? I don't know can we just
like stick the other way?
So the lashes were causing it not
to be able to heal so then she had
to get sedated to get the lashes plucked out
of her eye.
But they're just going to grow back? Right
so the problem is
there was two options one being
doing what we did and getting plucked out
because it might never happen again
the ulcer might have been that she
scratched her eye in the grass outside if she
been rubbing her face or a sticks went in it or whatever right they also had to harm the eye again
so the ulcer would heal faster because it was kind of like stagnant is that the word because it
takes so long anyway or get them laser off which is the long term solution is hair cookies
getting hair laser removal before our moor wow boozy bitch right but we decided to do the less
one first because she might never get an ulcer and eye again
it might have just been that something's touched it as I said
right so we did that was hell on earth
because I had to drop her and then she was looking at me like
where are you going and she was all stressed
and I took her a walk before it and I just thought
you don't know what's about to happen to you
and it just made me feel really sad like it's a shame
because I can't say anything anyway
I picked it up and she bounced out as if she went in there for a cup
of coffee so she was fine yeah
and the vet said to me she'll look as if she's
been a few rounds with Mike Tyson so just be
prepared and I look totally
fine to me. Like, every so
often it was kind of half shutting, but I was
expecting, which would never have happened
but in my head I was expecting almost like an
open wound or shutting because they said
like being prepared. So it was actually
fine but
long story short, she went back the week later for a
checkup and they did say like they're going
to grow back. We can see them starting to
like come through again
so we will need to get them lasers off at one point.
Okay. But now it's in our hands to decide
like do we do it as like precaution.
Or do we wait in case she doesn't ever get an eye ulcer again?
And I just can't decide.
Because also, she's going to need to get sedated soon and get dressed when their wee period comes.
Oh, is that not happened yet?
Can they do it at the same time?
Well, that's kind of what I'm wondering.
I might ask them, is there any way?
Because they need to get their period and then it needs to be,
it's either within 16 weeks or it needs to be after 16 weeks when I'm having.
It's something like that.
So I just wonder if they could time it to then do that.
same time.
Because you can also get keyhole to dress them now instead of cutting them right down.
So I'm going to try and get that so it's less invasive and it's lesser recovery.
So if I could get that, I could maybe get that at the same time.
Yeah.
And she said, what are we so?
I know.
I hated it so much.
Yeah.
Couldn't stop crying.
Quite unlike me as well.
Like I was on edge.
Also, if anyone is listening, heard or a Patreon episode, I was talking about a breast reduction.
Dada-da-da.
I went for a consultation and doing it.
Go on, go.
Against anyone's wishes, I'm doing it.
Okay?
The guy agreed it was that you're not, like, keeling over
from having massive boobs hanging off, you're right?
But it was like they're too big for your frame.
They're too heavy.
Yeah.
They're...
Basically, he tells you almost like a number that they're meant to...
Like, the distance is meant to be from your collarbone, technically,
to like, your nipple.
But then also from under up to the way your cleavage would meet.
So say, for example, it's like meant to...
be at seven. I'm at like nine. So it means that like they're obviously
like they're lower than they should be because they're too heavy.
You know, mine'll be at 25. The actual
long distance ones is in the 20s just in case you ever do it ever doing like that
and you think it's always we're fucking nine. I think I'm talking about the inside
bit when I say like nine or I can't remember the numbers but that's just an example
right. Whereas from that it is like 20 odd but I think when you're at 21 years of age
it's meant to be between like 20 and 22 the distance
on average obviously
but I was say like 23 or 4 or 5
something like that I can't really mind
so as like and naturally they're going to happen
because I'm also 28 turning 29
they're not going to be where they were at 21
but people who have no boobs will be
like that's the difference like you only get really
saggy boobs if you've got heavy boobs
because it's weighing them down
anyway he doesn't do implants so there's no
you don't get an implant it's just a reduction
and an uplift
and you can kind of choose your size you want to go to
all depends obviously
they might in the operations say
it'd be dangerous to take more tissue out
or we could actually take a wee bit more
so they'll kind of decide but they'll give you a ballpark
but anything's better for me
so I'm going to do it okay
I'm excited for your updates
and to all go on this journey with you
with some small itty-bitty committee
I just think
because another thing you said was like obviously
talking about kids and whatever
which isn't in my plans and that might change
but I would rather have a good few years now
like I'm never going to like everything anyway right
but I'm going to not like even more when I'm older
and potentially have had kids
so why not have a few years at least
in your prime
or as young as you're ever going to be
so I'm just deciding to go for it
yeah I agree don't get me wrong I'm scared of the thought
of getting put under like you know me control freak
yeah but
Oh, it makes me sad thinking about you having your mouth wide open and that with the tube sticking it out.
No, I know.
Oh, no, I don't like that image.
I don't like it either.
And then you need to stay in there the night off.
I'll come see you.
I'll find that a bit difficult, I think, because I'll just want to go home in a while.
You'll be fine.
You're in the best care.
And also, do you know what?
I think because I've never done anything like this, I'm thinking more about that part.
But then what I need to keep thinking about it, is how happy I'm going to be.
Exactly.
It's going to change my life.
It will change enough.
I think about it every day.
And I have done for about 10 years
Well there you go then
If you really want to get something doing then why not?
That's why I've decided to do it
Like see if you don't need to get put under
And it was an easier thing
I'll do tomorrow
So it's like it's just
And I know you're choosing to get a big surgery
When it's not necessary
But then it is in ways
If you're so unhappy like something
I really wish I actually had my boobs
When I was younger
Because I've spent my whole life hating my chest
But now I've had a baby
They're out all the time bloody now anyway
I do think I will have my boobs done
but when I'm older
I'm going to have it for different reasons
I'll probably have an implant
even though they're huge
like just say boobies
no I don't mind big boobs
it's just I've just never
listen we can be here all day
about talking about babies
but yeah I think after children
I think when they'll look saggy
and I'll probably will want to have you done
it happens with age anyway
like regardless
yeah I think that's why a lot of people do it
but my mum said to me
if you feel the way I did
at your age please do it
because I'm nearly 60 and I've never done it
and I still think about it every day of my life
and she's like, and why have I not done it?
Two for one, mum and daughter?
Well, I do think it'll encourage her to do it
no-uns, like, that I've done it and it was fine.
Yeah.
Whereas I told the guy about it and I was like,
my mum's always wanted it as well
and he was like, please tell her like she's not too old.
Like, it's not too late.
I've done people in their 70s, like,
things are different now, isn't it?
Yeah.
So I think she should do it too.
Talking about being naked, we had this voice note and I thought it was very interesting from last week's episode and I wanted to discuss.
I've actually just had to pause the podcast at 20 minutes in because I just had to let you know my thoughts on this even though nobody asked but you're getting them anyway.
So see how you're talking about like kissing on the lips and being like if you were like a cuddly family or whatever.
One of my like ice breakers in work is to ask people, did you have a naked mum and did you kiss your mum on the lips?
because I did have a naked mum
and I did also kiss my mum on the lips
and I think that tells you a lot about a person
so I love that you've been touched on that
but can we maybe do a little bit of asking people
did everyone have a naked mum and can we get everyone's opinions
because I feel like you did have a naked mum
and I feel like Zoe didn't.
I was just about to see the same thing.
I was just about to say my initial thoughts
were you with a naked mum and I didn't.
I did, yes.
I don't know.
I feel like I definitely have seen my mum naked.
Yeah.
I think she, but it wouldn't have been like roaming around freely.
It would have been like trying to not be, but I just would see.
Okay, no, my mum would roam around freely.
No, I wouldn't do it either.
I would sit on the toilets.
No, I wouldn't around my mum though.
That's the thing.
But did you when you were younger?
No.
Like when you're a teenager?
No.
No, God no.
Like all my pals would.
I would never have.
Never?
No.
but I think in terms of like maybe affection is what she's saying
like I was very kissy-cuddled
but I guess I probably never really thought about the naked thing
but I would sit on the toilet seat when my mum would be in the bath
and I'd chat to her and she'd be like shaving her legs
and I used to like love watching how my mum would like shave her legs and that
no I did do that I would do that now
what why your mum's naked?
Well I wouldn't see her she did bubbles
oh no well obviously my mum was naked with no bubbles
oh no my mum was there was always bubbles covering like the boobs
Really interesting
The bum
Like I would go in
If my mom was in bath
I would have no issue going in
But yeah there was bubbles there
Yeah
She wouldn't just roam around
With like her fan out freely
Because I've got a few friends
That are quite
I wouldn't say cold
But when it comes to like
Even affection in their relationship
Or like
their how they are huggy
I feel like I'm describing you here
I'm actually not describing you
And yeah quite a few of my friends actually
but they will admit that when they didn't grow up in a household
that was very much like
love you so much by or kissy cuddling lips
at all actually
me and all my family are big huggers though
yeah I think you'd maybe assume that I didn't grow up in that kind of household
but I definitely did
I don't say that about you
I definitely did not kissy
yeah I don't think me my mum have ever kissed on the lips
yeah I'd like to think we've not
or my dad for that matter
you would have kissed you on the lips when you were a little baby
but like from
a normal age
still on the lips
no but it'd always be kissy-kitty
yeah
he'd literally kiss my head
everything
no my dad definitely doesn't kiss me at all
my mum would never make the kissing noise to me at all now either
what when I see your mum I literally rag her around
like just
ah
no
but I do
vividly remember starting to say love you
when you hang up the phone
yeah that was it was when I got with Jason
started saying it to my mom because he said it to me
I love saying I love you
I think it's very important
Murray do you say you love you to your wife every time you end the phone call
I much the same experience as Zoe
but family grown up and never done that
growing up but since I got with Catherine my wife
then yeah she's put out the soft side of you
yeah pretty much I think it's more like I feel like I shouldn't be saying it
to like my partnership and not like my family
yeah it's like if I'm going to start saying
love you bye. I should be saying it to everyone I speak on the phone to which is my family
and him. I agree. Like I wouldn't say it like when I hang out the phone to you. I say it to you.
Listen, Richard says to me that I say I love you too much to him and I will remind him that
you can never say I love you too much to someone because like it doesn't lose its meaning. I'm
like it doesn't lose its meaning to me. I let's say something terrible happened at least you knew
how much I loved you.
So this is your sign to tell someone you love them today.
I think it probably depends on what sort of person you are
because I think if I was saying it all the time,
it would lose its meaning because I don't always just say,
I love you so much.
I just love you so much apart from Tukukki.
Yeah.
Say it 45 times a day.
So it would probably seem unnatural
and that you're just saying that because you know I want to hear it.
Whereas I've never left the house without saying it to Jason
unless we're obviously arguing.
Or on the phone.
like we wouldn't hang up without saying it
or at bedtime
do you say I love you before you go to sleep
every single night
that's well cute
love you kiss and then you turn round
bye
that's well cute
I would always say that
like every last interaction we have
you say love you in it
that's really sweet
romantic
so I wanted to end on a little bit
of a hilarious hi
I saw this TikTok and it really made me think
and I would love you guys to send in
your strongest things that you have said
to kill somebody with kindness, okay?
What have you said to someone to kill them with kindness?
Please tell me your best insult that kills them with kindness.
The sky that really gets under their skin.
Have you got anything?
It's a hard one, I think.
And I'm going to give you some tips
because the comment section on TikTok is really so educational.
I feel like there's a back-handed compliment that a lot of people say,
but I can't think what it is off the top of my hand.
What, interesting thing to say out loud?
I love your pixie cut to obnoxious men with short hair.
Do you things normally work out for you and you act this way?
Love that one.
That is patronising. I love it.
It's your lie.
tell it how you want
someone spoke
guys these are not kind
these are condescending
you have
this is a great one
I'm going to use this
you have the confidence
of a much taller man
I lowered my standards
the least you can do
is lower your voice
that is iconic
and someone's commented here
please never delete this post
I'll be back
you know what
it's right
what people are saying about you
That really gets in your head, wouldn't it?
You'd be like, who?
What do you mean?
I think it's like if you, and one of my friends used this recently
and it's like, oh, I'll make sense now.
Oh!
Do you need a minute?
Do you need a minute, bye?
That probably sounded much better in your head.
I'm surprised you feel comfortable saying that.
If you are this rude to me
I can't even imagine how you treat yourself
I'm so sorry
We're all petty patronising queens
I love it
It's genuinely impressive how confident you are
considering how little you bring to the table
Oh
That's a good one
Last one
I hope your day is as pleasant as you are
Make drop
Mike drunk boom
How old were you when your parents got a divorce
Anyway, I thought I'd give you some of them
It's a great TikTok
I'll share it
We'll put the link in the newsletter as well
But if you ever need some tips on
To really just mic drop someone
Yeah, and send us
If you've got one you always use
Send us it
No, do you need a minute's my favourite one
Do you need a minute?
I'm definitely going to say that though
In my road rage to a man
Saying you have the confidence
Of a much taller man
I see a lot in an argument
Are you still talking?
What is this noise I can hear
I was like if somebody keeps talking over you,
I'm sorry, was I talking whilst you were interrupted?
Ah, that's a good one, alright.
Love it.
Right, see ya.
We'll go over to Patreon.
We've got a few things to discuss.
Lots of exciting things to discuss this week.
