Starting point is 00:00:00 It's the final episode of season 6. Season 6. We're really going to miss you. Episode 31. Wow, we really went for it this season. We did. The Cizont. We are excited for the final episode because it's festive Cizont.
Starting point is 00:00:26 We've got our markets next week. And we just need a little bit of a break Because we can refresh and come back bigger and better Every single damn time Exactly But as we've said We will be over on side dish Every single Friday in the break
Starting point is 00:00:39 We aren't actually taking a break But we will be vlogging So there won't be studio-style episodes There will be weekly vlogs Which would be exciting Yeah A bit of like individual stuff As well as when we're together
Starting point is 00:00:51 Absolutely I am moving house tomorrow So we've got lots of exciting things happening with her business and yeah we've just got some nice things to show you in the break christmas festivities wholesome share we're going out lots um we're busy booked and busy bibby booked and busy so yeah hope you misses but thank you so much for being there with us we had a lovely message you know dot does did you see it no she replied to us in response to last week's listener saying that we are like our comfort listen
Starting point is 00:01:26 and she said that she wanted to message us to say that we are also her comfort list and we've really got her through some dark times on every Tuesday and Friday and she just wanted to thank us because it's not listening to our friends every week. That's lovely. So we really hope we make you feel that way.
Starting point is 00:01:43 So if you really miss us, come join us over and saddish. You don't message that much, you don't come, do you know what I mean? Exactly. Anyway, shite friends. What's on today's up? We catch up.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Yeah. What I've been up to? I've not done that in any. I've not told you now for the past few weeks about me because nothing's happened well it has been doing much just well I have been doing a lot
Starting point is 00:02:05 but it's just boring shit that you don't want to hear I know not everything's exciting content you know what I mean for people's ears then we've got dilemmas we've got quite good juicy dilemmas yeah and then we'll be saying ta-ta
Starting point is 00:02:19 I tell you one thing guys that's happened to me yeah what do you think think I'm going to say. What your first period? Yeah. My period came back.
Starting point is 00:02:32 And it's so funny because I've been saying in the past couple of episodes, like I'm not feeling myself, I feel dead in tune with my body. I said that to you, like, I know summit was wrong. That's weird, isn't it? And it was a very similar feeling, which is quite worrying, to how I felt when I was on the episode two weeks prior to finding out I was pregnant 18 months ago. and lo and behold it was the last thing on the list that we checked
Starting point is 00:02:59 but my period came back and oh my god just a bit of TMI but I guess it happens to everybody even if you're breastfeeding or not apparently your first period back is horrendous and oh my god boy it was how long did it last for an end
Starting point is 00:03:14 I'm still bleeding now but not intensely two days of I couldn't believe it Zoe this is not normal it's like have I not been through enough but no cramp Zero cramp Do you know what's interesting as well as Oz is somebody else said to me that
Starting point is 00:03:32 since having their periods back post-pregnancy that their cramps have gone and do you remember Molly May spoke on her vlog and said about her endometeosis and since having what's her baby's name, Bambi that the symptoms and everything had gone Yeah she's never really had symptoms from it since
Starting point is 00:03:48 I wonder if there is something behind that I've heard a lot that's made me think that pregnancy kind of sorts any hormonal issues that you might have you know what I mean it almost like resets you 100%
Starting point is 00:04:02 because a lot of people's skin clears up yeah they don't get bad periods anymore endometriosis isn't as bad is it just because that's kind of you've approached the age that your body's meant to have a kid that almost do you know what I mean I have no idea
Starting point is 00:04:16 it just sounds about right to me well interestingly and I don't know if this is all C-Ebo, but I feel so different. And I was having a quick Google about it. I was saying, like, why do I feel so instantly different now? I've got my period back. And it says, like, it will still take time. Your body is still in postpartum for probably, like, up to 18 months to two years. However, I do feel like this is this reset button of my hormones, all starting to rebalance. I'm getting my body essentially sort of back to what it was, like a factory reset almost.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Yeah. And I just feel, I don't know. I don't know how to explain it. I just feel more me. I felt me for quite a while. I'm slowly and surely coming back to feeling more myself. The body's fucking wild. But I do. I feel so different.
Starting point is 00:05:06 What I will say is I've really enjoyed not having one. I know. God. As a shirt time. Yeah. And I guess also I'm mega fertile in the next few days. And I sent Zoe the screenshots, but my aura ring. How fucked was that, Zaz?
Starting point is 00:05:21 Yeah. So for the past week, it's been saying that my body is under major signs, it said, of stress. And it registered that by elevated heart rate, temperature, and maybe just the way that I'm not resting enough when I sleep. But my sleep's been pretty good. So I'm getting optimal sleep, but I guess it's still registering, registering, like, how you're resting when you're sleeping. Yeah. So your heart rate. Anyway, my body temp, I sent Zoe it, the graph, it went.
Starting point is 00:05:52 all the way up I guess this is how like flow works when you take your body temper every morning you're tracking your ovulation and it just completely dropped into it and then it was like you were dead it was just honestly I felt so so so so bad the day that it came felt tragic but yeah I felt really bad like I felt extremely weak and then all the bloating and everything in the sort of area which I've been moaning about and my digestive system of my thoughts yeah it's released It's crazy how that's all connected though I mean your whole body is connected more than what you think
Starting point is 00:06:29 like issues cause other issues even though it's different parts bizarre I think it's definitely important to mention there because people don't say this stuff to you no no one's ever said to me oh by the way wait till your period comes it's going to be like this or
Starting point is 00:06:41 you're going to be farting a lot but this is the issue like nobody wants to talk about I guess like some of the negatives that come with these things and say just be realistic though you don't need be negative about it you just need to be like you know be prepared
Starting point is 00:06:58 I think it's important because I felt so out of sorts for two weeks that's what I mean though like it's not you're not putting a dampener on being a mum just by saying your next period is going to be large something's happening to my body and like what's going on all of a sudden boom your body completely getting ready for your period that's a massive thing what I need to know is what action are we taking ah ah
Starting point is 00:07:18 unsure on that one. What else have you been up to? What else I've been up to Zos? Well, obviously packing my dad's here, my sister's up as well. Me and you and Zara went to the fort yesterday. And we went to the Mezcal opening. So the Mezcal has opened at the fore, which I think we spoke about in a few episodes ago.
Starting point is 00:07:41 And it's a great addition to the fort, isn't it? It's good to have some... Right next to the view. Which we were saying we've never... I, well, I have never worn... that far around the fall before. No, I've not. So I've never been to that cinema
Starting point is 00:07:53 and I've never been to the restaurants there. I usually go to like the other side. Yeah. Ragabama's five guys, all that jazz. I just think it's quite good for it if you were going before the cinema and you don't feel you need to go to like a five guys. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Or a pizza hut or whatever's there. Won't get yourself a fish tacker and some nachos and a margarita? Actually quite like a nice wee date-night dinner. Finished off with a movie. That's perfect to me. I had a nice Mexican bear. There was dances. Ding, ding, ding, ding.
Starting point is 00:08:18 The same dancers that we had at our boozy brunch. And what are the Mexican band called again? With the little tiny guitar, the big massive hats. It was cute. There was people strut in some shapes. They were strutting some shapes. I just respect those dancers so much because you knew one of them and she caught your eye and just continued dancing.
Starting point is 00:08:37 And I can't tell you I would melt to the ground in a puddle. Yeah. I'd have to stop like, hey, how are you doing? Yeah, but like I just couldn't go on that you've just seen me do that and then I've caught your eye and I'd be so embarrassed if I'd have to stop. I just respect it so much. Yeah. it was nice it's a massive restaurant
Starting point is 00:08:51 huge space it was a big comparison to the mescal that was in in city centre yeah great addition to the fort and then made a wander yeah we had a little wonder went to Zara with stuff to the turn because I'm living out of boxes at the moment
Starting point is 00:09:05 I had to go and get a couple of bits and Bob to actually wear for over the next few days because I had a schoolboy error for me that didn't have the brain space to think okay what am I wearing for the next few days just couldn't be asked I know that's too much so because my sister's up I'm going
Starting point is 00:09:18 to, I've booked a few nice little things on Saturday. It's one of our best friend's birthday, which I can't go out sadly but you're going to... Wonderbar West karaoke room? Yeah, that's going to be so fun. But I'm actually going to go and see Wicked with her. So if you guys remember
Starting point is 00:09:34 from last year I said about the sound, how it used to piss me off. Yeah, it didn't seem loud enough. He didn't. Well, it wasn't. They came out and said that, did they not? Yeah, and then I went to go and see it again with Gillian went to the I sense the Odeon. Well, I've remembered to book that again because I don't want to be triggered by that again
Starting point is 00:09:50 so I've booked that and then we're going to go and potentially go and get a nice real Christmas tree so by the time this comes out you'll all probably be doing the same thing but real Christmas trees get one from either homegrown you could pre-order them at the Christmas market events or you can order it from themselves or duff trees which is about a 40 minute drive and you can actually go and cut your own tree
Starting point is 00:10:10 is that right you did that last year no I was going in and I got cookie instead oh that's right yeah it's quite a contrast I think you can go pick your own tree get it cut down or you help cut it whatever but then I also think there's like a cafe like I think it's a bit of a kind of like a pumpkin picking
Starting point is 00:10:25 but Christmas tree version like it's quite an experience that sounds nice yeah I'm just undecided I go real or do I know and I can't believe I'm even asking that question because I'm a real tree stand it's just because of cookie yeah
Starting point is 00:10:36 but it's just because of cookie and as much as I prefer the look and feel and smell and everything of a real tree as a faff yeah like the last every year for the last three years we've been in the flat it's like trying to get it to stand then it falls over then you wake up in the morning
Starting point is 00:10:52 and it's on the fucking floor and it's like I just don't know if I can be arsh with it and then getting out of the house is that's the worst that is the worst part and that you find pines for the next year like you're never pineless again
Starting point is 00:11:07 and I'm wondering is this wise idea getting a real tree in the living room living room with a child and pulling it I know because he's not a chill kid No, he will want to pull that down. I feel like with a fake one as well, you could elevate it if you needed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:21 A bit easier. Like put it on a table or... True. On a box and then just put some like fake presents around it. I could get a guard around it. Yeah. I really want to. So yeah, I'm not sure what else I did as well, which I'm getting quite into.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I went around a few antique furniture shops in Glasgow. So I've got this vision of this... Up cycling? Yeah. I've got this vision of a... footstool that I want for my living room and I'm going to get it upholsted so it's a bit more of a safer coffee table around Jensen but also because it looks really gorgeous but the only way I can get the one that I want is it's going to need to be upcycled yeah so I've never really done thrifting or gone around to many stores I've seen a few but I've got a few amazing
Starting point is 00:12:05 spots that I want to just shout out about because I can't even believe that these places exist in Glasgow and I want you guys to tell me any that you recommend anywhere in Scotland. I want to go to like a vintage sort of antique fair that's outside maybe. Yeah. Any in Edinburgh. So here's a few that I want to tell you about. Vintage and retro, which is actually just around the corner near in Kinning Park. So it's the biggest unit I've ever seen in my entire life.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Then we've got the antique centre, which is just near where we used to work at Quiz. High Park Street, but the one opposite, the adjacent road at the top. that one's really cool it's huge it's quite mischievous shall we say and then we've got the Glasgow salvage which is in Paisley which is really good for fittings doors brass knobs things like that and also you've got a lot of yeah we knob we knob sorry guys we just had a little visitor there to come dropping something off but as I'm saying so yeah I'm doing all the thrifting vintage stuff so anyone send me any suggestions but there's some ideas for you if you want to go and you also do the same thing vintage and retro was
Starting point is 00:13:14 definitely my favourite and I really want to go to the Glasgow salvage one. Did they have like good sideboards in that? Oh sorry they had everything you'll absolutely love it. I'm checking Facebook marketplace every day it's just not I can't find anything but I sold some good stuff from my house on there by the way and I was going to say you've been selling your bets yeah but the next one I'm going to do which is probably next Saturdays I'm going to go to the Barra's I know they have a few little vintage shops around there don't they all antique shops we're going to go and check there also have a little
Starting point is 00:13:43 moot around the markets but which is perfect timing because there's a new little gorgeous homeware shop there called nook which is also going to be at our markets it's a shop within the barrows but you'll be able to access it inside the market that's right but they're open from next week so when you listen to this go and check it out it's so freaking cute and they've actually just dropped us off some little goodies um i'm excited do you want to have to do the honors us okay fine he he he he um so whilst you're there go and check them out, go to all the food vans. I think just nice little festive days out
Starting point is 00:14:17 and things you can do in December. Right, let's see. If you're looking on the camera, we've got a gorgeous little recipe book with an olive gift. Does that like a notepad but to write all your recipes in? My recipe journal, cooking with love. How cute. I got that yesterday when I went to the store.
Starting point is 00:14:35 That is cute. A nice little secret Santa gifts, I would say. Recipe name, category rating, prep time, difficulty, cooking time. Do you know what I'm asking for for my Christmas? What? Could I say? Great gifts, Oz. Can you believe that for me?
Starting point is 00:14:52 Are you getting a pot? Am I getting the wicked one maybe? I saw that. That looks so nice. I would go off it though. Yeah. The Elfaba one, like it's very subtle. Yeah. But do I want, like, Malikris say when I'm 55 that I'm still using me wicked theme?
Starting point is 00:15:07 I don't. Right. This is a really good question to ask you. What colour are you going to go for? Orn't orange or red I think you need to go classic My mum's got orange so that's what I know You've got orange don't you
Starting point is 00:15:19 But I quite like the reddy one Red's gorgeous I love the burgundy as well But have you also seen the green one No but that's very you There is a green one with like the gold lid Gorgeous That is gorgeous
Starting point is 00:15:29 But they're really They're more expensive than I thought they were Over 100 quid Depends No they're about 300 What? Yeah No they're not
Starting point is 00:15:37 I don't know who I'm asking by the way Because no one would spend that on me No sorry they're not 300 quid Daily Planner Is that for you? That you try to get you to plan your life out. Good look with that. I know.
Starting point is 00:15:47 I've got a lot to answer for. This is so cute though. I've bought about five daily planners in my lifetime and never wrote one single word on them. Weekly plan, daily plan, schedule, top priorities. That's quite like the Grace Beverly one. Which I enjoy, by the way. Yeah, I think... Let's see what else.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Secret Santa's going to be... Sorry, that is so cute. money pocket sized. David Caterbra. Jigsaw. These things are so good for Secret Santa. If anybody has any friends that love gardening or has a greenhouse
Starting point is 00:16:23 there was a greenhouse style puzzle in there and I thought that's well cute. That is cute. We've got a bag of pick a mix so when you go around there you can go and pick a mix and when I was in the ES and they were laughing they were like, this year's a bit more cleaner for Oz Oz. Pick a mix wise.
Starting point is 00:16:42 I don't know why I've just put a bonbon on my mouth. Back to spit or swallow. Sorry! No! They've given his pig toys! I didn't see them in the store yesterday. Oh my God. They're heavy, you know?
Starting point is 00:17:03 They're like door stops. No, you put them in the microwave. Yeah, that's what it is. Aw! It's like a... What do you call it? tauty. Jigsaw of the iconic olives.
Starting point is 00:17:18 A little gingerbread lady with... I thought there were headphones with the rear muffs. We can say their headphones, podpig. Oh, these sweets look so good. Don't put a bonbo in your mouth because you'll be tuned for five years. I know, I will. Anyway, go and check them out. Nook. N-O-K.
Starting point is 00:17:36 It's right at the barriers. They're open from Thursday to Sunday, 10 to 6. Yep. and it's brand new as we're recording right now it's not open yet but I'm going to tell you that I love wee shops like that
Starting point is 00:17:47 so cute I just love wee bits see for people's Christmas presents I always like to put in a wee a wee candy can or like a wee sweet wee bag of truffles or something but also a wee like
Starting point is 00:17:59 just a wee a little something they've got real nice Christmas decorations as well you know like chicken wines type stuff or like gingerbread houses and all those like ramin bowls
Starting point is 00:18:09 Raymond bowls Raymond bowls remember that Raymond. That's so Raymond. Oh, bless us. No, yeah, I love stuff like that. So that's super cute. Anyway, go and check them out. I love it. I was just thought, yeah, I thought,
Starting point is 00:18:20 what cute things do we like? Is everyone going to go to Edinburgh for some nice festive days out? That's cute Edinburgh markets. We always say that we're a bit over that. No, I know. I only want to go to Edinburgh because me and Jason quite often go to Shays Jules at Christmas time. Love. Have a wee wonder, go there? But have you seen the new cinema that's open? Yes. We've been to go see Elf there.
Starting point is 00:18:40 But that's not in Edinburgh, is it? It's Livingston. It's in Glasgow. Yeah. What area is it again? What did that used to be, though? And they've done it up. The one that's all red seats and that.
Starting point is 00:18:51 And they've got beds and things. I don't know. I kind of mind. Cinema looks or something. And the food looks really cool. So we've booked to go and watch Elf there. Nice. I think that's a cute Christmas activity.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Driving cinemas. I think bad are doing cinemas as well. Nights that you can go and do. So Sloans. I just love stuff like that. I do like. activity at Christmas time trying to think
Starting point is 00:19:14 what else I've got sorted kiddie wise I'm going to see Santa at Clyde Valley mentioned it on the pod last week
Starting point is 00:19:22 where Silver Birch is all around that way guys go and spend a day doing that in fact I went to an incredible antique little shop
Starting point is 00:19:32 around there as well standby An antique shop yes Bex told me about it right so around that way go and spend a day when you go to Silver Birch
Starting point is 00:19:40 and go to the gang Marion Bridges Garden and Antique Centre. Wow. Which is at the roundabout just before you head down the long road to all the garden centres. Then you've got Valley View Adventure Park. You've got Dobby's, Silver Birch, Clyde Valley Family Park. And then you also have Lannock.
Starting point is 00:19:57 You've got New Lannock and you've got the mill and all the nice walks around there that you can go and do. La Lle of Clide. Yeah. Fools of Clyde. And I had this message from a lovely listener of ours that told me to say, I heard you say Hey hey I heard you say
Starting point is 00:20:14 Hey hey I heard you say And we will share it on our story But in Crossford Which is around the area So if anyone's living Further away And they want to come
Starting point is 00:20:22 And spend a nice weekend There's two Airbnb's called Annabella Cottages Check them out on Instagram They're brand new And they are so gorgeous Look at that We'll add them to the newsletter
Starting point is 00:20:34 That's a gorgeous weekend by the way Yeah So you could actually go and utilise All those things I just said Especially day off work and go get a Christmas shop and done
Starting point is 00:20:41 go to all the nice garden centres get a wee overnight. Especially you've got kids as well you can go and do all the things like Santa. Don't need us to get them home and all that. Yeah. So I'll share them because I love little cabin stays but it's like a little cabin. Annabella Cottages but we'll share it to our story or the
Starting point is 00:20:57 newsletter so check them out while she's there but I love days out and festive wholesome things. When it's GWR weather and you get your hat on you're all wrapped up and you've got the dog it and George. Right so I think that's everything for me to update you on. There was one more thing.
Starting point is 00:21:15 That doesn't make sense. Well, there's one more thing that I would like to mutually share and ask your opinion on. That's me updated on everything. There's just one more thing. Maybe there's two more things. Right. I didn't enjoy the M&S peppermint cookies.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Neither did I. Did you not, Zaws? Why don't you text me? Forgot. Sorry about that. No, and then I saw your story and I meant to text again. I also forgot that time. They were all right.
Starting point is 00:21:39 They weren't the best, were they? All I could taste was mint, but not like in it. It was just like what else is happening here. And the texture of the cookie was just not it. It was kind of about how long have they been lying sort of texture. Why was there's just like a random red bit in it? I hate the fact that it's just so dark. Like what is that?
Starting point is 00:21:57 Why is it so? What makes that? I honestly had half a one out of the whole pack. I wasn't thrilled at all. But there is a tin. A red and gold striped tin. And they're, I can't remember what they're called, something like caramel crunch bars. I've seen people.
Starting point is 00:22:14 You find them in the shelves, guys. What the flying fuck. They have a bit 15 quads shop because they're at a 10. About a 10-a. Did I get every single one? Yes. They are like, deluxe dine bars is the best way I can say it. Chewy dime bars.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Right. You need to get these. Get them as a gift for your grandparents or yourself. Oh, you're so good. These days. Yeah, I'm going to get some for my mom 100%. And the final thing to say Go on
Starting point is 00:22:42 fucking Scotland They're in the World Cup Zoe No I know It's the big achievement Since when the 19 what Fuck knows but a long time ago 19998 or so That's amazing
Starting point is 00:22:55 It's 20 odd years I tell you that Let me Google it That's so good Pop off Scotland 1998 you were right Wow That's when the last qualified
Starting point is 00:23:04 27 years ago I really would I wish I was watching it live and... I wish I was more in it. No. Than I am. But I do find, though, that people in Scotland aren't really that massively into their home. You could be like a massive Rangers fan, Celtic, however, but you're probably not massive
Starting point is 00:23:24 Scotland fan. I think if you're massive Rangers and Celtic, that's all you care about. You don't care about Scotland. But the issue is both team gets annoyed when a lot of their players aren't in the Scotland team, you see. I don't think there was one ranger player playing, for example. But any Rangers players, like, any of them actually Scottish, though? People of them are on the bench. Right, I got it, okay. But Jason was like they did any deserve it. I was like, fair enough for being honest, do you what I mean?
Starting point is 00:23:50 But no, I think achievement, I think it's good, it's good for the country, do you know what I mean? Where are we watching it? Next year? SWG3, Bad. Bad did a big thing, Wought and Goal last night, everyone watching it? Yeah, I saw that. Those videos were brilliant. Everyone was going after Tits. And do you remember when we went to, were you with me then when we went to SWG? three and when Scotland and England were in the euros?
Starting point is 00:24:09 No, I don't know why I was never been doing it. It will be a buzz. That was an open goal thing as well actually. It will be a buzz. So good on them. Well done. Congratulations. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:24:19 I mentioned that. Will I be sporting Scotland over England? Yes, I bloody will. I'd like to think so. I'm more Scottish now than ever. My child is Scottish. Exactly. Can't get my head around that he's going to have a Scottish accent.
Starting point is 00:24:33 It's weird to me. But I love it. You'll get more girls. with it. You reckon? Oh, absolutely. Especially if it's a Glasgowian accent. Absolutely, yep.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Oh, guys. I've got a few things to tell you. Go on then. Right. So I was in London at the weekend. I don't speak about this? No. Tell us more.
Starting point is 00:24:55 I told you what I was doing now. Telling you how said things were. Yep, yep, yep, yep. I had my best night of my life up. They absolutely loved it. With what? With what? best night of your life doing what
Starting point is 00:25:08 at Abba Oh did you say Abba sorry It was so fast I was like wow What was the best night in your life Nothing just had a good night Abba was unbelievable Can't believe it's not real
Starting point is 00:25:18 I don't understand What I don't get is why is it not real When they're still all alive One of them doesn't leave Sweden That's right But I don't get it I need to I've not had time yet
Starting point is 00:25:29 To sit and like The hologram But how What do you mean Is it a hologram? Yes but they're 3D and they're all moving like they're dancing around the stage
Starting point is 00:25:40 when it looks so real yes shut up it only doesn't look real when it's because they still come on the big screens the way any concert does right and that's when it doesn't because their eyes are a bit like
Starting point is 00:25:51 dead behind eyes robotic but see if you were like a wee old day didn't have social media didn't know and you were down in the audience and they didn't have big screens you wouldn't know like they're like they all move around the stage I should just telling oh I'd just see
Starting point is 00:26:05 And people like, no, I did now. No, I did. No, I did. Fuck it out. So that blew me away. Loved it. Was a dancing queen all night. Did you dance?
Starting point is 00:26:16 Did you dance on the dance floor? Did you dance in your chair? In your seat? No, well, we met some of my family there, which was a surprise from my mom. And we were in, like, one of the dance booths. Oh, was that nice? So it had, like, corner sheeting and then, like, a wee dance floor. She could do both.
Starting point is 00:26:32 I was on the, I was dancing. I was standing dancing. kind of sat down even if it's slow you sway did your mom love it Zoe you need to share that video of your mom if you're watching YouTube we'll put it in now because it's iconic and you can just see the sheer joy in her face
Starting point is 00:26:47 that's when we went to there's a bar right across the road from the like arena would you call it I don't know and it's so good after it because it finishes at like quarter past nine so there's a bar within the arena then or it's just a
Starting point is 00:27:02 there's bars in at like normal bar food which was the one that you went to No, then after it we went across the road. So a separate... Separate bar. What's it called? I don't think it's got a name. I think it just popped up.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Like, I think it's just there for... Abba people. Cool. And then they play Abba music as well? Abba music, just tunes. Chunes we liked. That's great. It was really good.
Starting point is 00:27:22 And it's good to end your night. You're not really ready just to get right on the train after that. Yeah. Because it's on for 90 minutes, I think. So you're kind of, you're still bopping. Is it near the Cuddy Shark? Like, the O2?
Starting point is 00:27:33 where did I get off Pudding Mill Lane What the fuck is that? I don't know if it's an extra stop they added on because the arena that it's in was built for that Right so it's a permanent thing is it Well for now But it was created for Abbott
Starting point is 00:27:52 And there's also It looks like little porter cabins Well it has portcabins And you can stay there It's like wee hotel rooms in them Like see people travel just for that Yeah You can stay
Starting point is 00:28:01 Really good experience loved it. 10 out of time. Then we did end up going to a show during the day, Saturday and Sunday. But the weather was shite. What else she's in? So what did you say? The producers. The producers on Saturday night, which would really recommend. You've never seen that before have you? No, not professionally. My mum did it years ago though. Your mum did it? Yeah. So I have seen it before but it was ages ago. Very funny. It's a daft show about like a failed producer and the show that they put on in the show is Springtime by Hitler
Starting point is 00:28:33 so it's very like it's not it's the opposite of Oak sleeping yeah okay it's um risky but like you're there for the laughs
Starting point is 00:28:44 do you know what I mean would recommend really good and then we went to Mulan Rouge and Saturday during the day sleeping okay now you're sleeping that too long enough I'm sorry sometimes I have to just take a minute
Starting point is 00:28:57 just to listen to you because you're fucking fun it Too quick, I know. It's not even that. It's just because you're just dead serious with it. Then I have to just compute that you're making a joke there. We're fucking three years in, catch up. Well, anyway, moving on.
Starting point is 00:29:18 We went to Mulan Rouge. A lot to say, right, because we didn't enjoy it in New York. No, you didn't. We didn't enjoy it. And we loved it in London. Why the fuck would that happen? then? It's a cast, it's who's in it. Makes a big difference if you
Starting point is 00:29:33 warm to the performers. Because it was Boy George in New York and that made it pat to mine. Do you know what I mean? 100% know what you mean. It was saying a pant of mine. Whereas everyone in the London one was amazing. Love the lead girl, loved the lead guy.
Starting point is 00:29:50 With really good seats quite near the front so we were literally right there. Loved it and I'm glad we gave it a second chance. Because loads of people love it and you just think why did they and I didn't? Is it meant to be really good to see it in Paris? I don't know, by the way. Because it's, isn't it from Paris?
Starting point is 00:30:04 Would it be in French, though? I was thinking about this. If there's musicals and stuff in other countries, it must be in their language. Well, most people go and see Mulan Rouge in Paris. So no, I'd say no, it's not. But do they not sing any songs in French in Mulan Rouge? No.
Starting point is 00:30:23 There's a couple of wee, like, words here in there, but not a lot, no. Let us know that, guys. I don't know that one. And I went to Wicked on Sunday. Yeah. He made your train then. Made the train. Did you have a good seat at Wicked if it was last minute ticket?
Starting point is 00:30:38 We actually sat up a level, out of choice, of, of, we've seen it numerous times in the stalls. You wanted to go and see the people at the back? So, and I actually used to prefer sitting in the first level up because you can kind of see everything that's going on and you're not blocked by anyone. So it's quite nice because you kind of noticed like the dragon at the top and people up and down the sides, like shouting and all that.
Starting point is 00:31:01 Whereas when you're right there, you kind of just look straight ahead. So it's quite good. And was it good? Did you like the cast? Amazing. So a new girl that's Elfa Bar, she was amazing. Was she? Emma Kingston's her name.
Starting point is 00:31:14 I love that when you stole called the cast after when you go on to your theatre. Because he was that girl that we loved when we went to go and see six. She was... Oh yeah. What was her name again? Catherine of Aragon. Yeah. She was fucking brilliant.
Starting point is 00:31:27 I just think, imagine you would have. musical theatre and you got the job of Elphaba. Yeah, that'd be amazing. It's just... What's our thoughts on the Cynthia and Ariana Grande being back in all the OTT press?
Starting point is 00:31:41 It's a bit much for me. It's intense, right? Because I'm a fan of Wicked, right? But it's like the music, the story, it's like the theatrical geekiness that I love from me. Do you know what I mean? Whereas I'm not actually an Ariana fan.
Starting point is 00:31:57 No, you're not, are you? Not a hater. not a fan. I wouldn't go and see her concert. Just, I couldn't really be less interested in her. Yeah. I quite like, like, I've been watching the TikToks and everything, all their interviews and things, because obviously I want to hear what they're saying
Starting point is 00:32:10 and stuff, but I don't enjoy part of me is like what's really nice, how much they care if you're chilling at other times. I'm like to we need to touch, though. Like, I care about you, but we're not kissing. But do you know what I, it's kind of going off when you said about getting your dream part? Do you reckon it's because it really is such a dream
Starting point is 00:32:26 for them both to have that part? that they're almost so sad that it's over because the second one film was finished quite a while ago, right? So they've sort of relive in those moments. Yeah. And they've got this deep connection. They've really fell into their characters. But I do find it a bit weird.
Starting point is 00:32:43 I know. I don't know. It's almost like, how can both people be so like that? Like, that's too much of a coincidence for me. What about the live show that they did, though? That was amazing. I watched some clips. I'm trying to go buy them.
Starting point is 00:32:56 What? Because they're singing the wicked songs that we've not seen yet. So you didn't watch any of the clips of them actually doing it live? I don't want to, I watch them after. Because they're singing... No, I don't mean of the film.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I mean of the live show that they did on stage. But they're singing the songs from part two. Okay, so you don't want to see that at all. I don't want to hear them singing for good yet. I want to see it and heed it in the film. See, I've never heard these songs before, guys.
Starting point is 00:33:17 So this is going to be a first for me. See, I know the words. Oh, I guess I've watched it in the theatre. Yeah. Of course, but I don't remember it, though. I'm going to put Sam out there. You prefer the songs. And the second part.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Yeah, fuck, sounds. I do. They're good songs. There's a few that people forget about, just wee moments of song that are really good and powerful. Singers on in. Thing is for good. Sounds brilliant.
Starting point is 00:33:46 That's when she's reading a spell from the book. That's what sounds like. So does she become evil, doesn't she, in the second one? She's never evil. No, she's not, but... She kind of like leans into the evilness. She's got no choice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:04 And the matter. Right. So let's finish with some big dilemmas and then we'll carry some over into side dish as well. From you guys. Because you've got a few. Do you want to start, Zazzy? Do I stick or twist ahead of the new year?
Starting point is 00:34:23 Ready? I've been dating it. That's the question. Are we sticking or we twisting? Okay. I've been dating again. for five months. We see each other multiple times a week and we've got a great connection with good communication. However, it's not been an easy journey so far getting to know each other
Starting point is 00:34:37 as admittedly I came into the relationship with baggage so we've had ups and downs. We've pushed through the harder conversations and the last few weeks have been great. Whilst I typically at this stage be looking to meet his friends soon, he's expressed he's not keen but would be happy to meet mine if I wanted him to. This obviously hasn't given me much confidence in him and his feelings towards me, especially when we haven't had any exclusive chat. shall I call it quits now before I realize another five months he's a commitment fob or stick it out something about the new year approaching makes these dilemmas feel pressing I agree on that last bit by the way
Starting point is 00:35:10 same but also I feel like it's all quite positive hmm I mean I know she's saying that he's not that keen for her to meet his friends yet I feel like we need to question him on that and then decide yeah why though but also I've never done like come and meet my friends I've just never done that
Starting point is 00:35:33 no I've not well yeah I have we've gone for meals and stuff over the years but it's been a bit different I guess it depends on like if you all live in the same sort of area and it's easy to do that sort of stuff I've always lived in the same area
Starting point is 00:35:50 and I've never been like less like I've never planned something for the sake of my partner Yeah, it's quite intense, isn't. I honestly don't think it's that important. I think it's important for them to get along and to have at some level of relationship.
Starting point is 00:36:08 Yeah. But I think unless, but if you're a social group like that, then yeah, okay. Yeah, exactly. And if you do things in couples, maybe. A lot of people don't. Yeah. No, I don't. So I don't know about the friend thing,
Starting point is 00:36:20 but apart from that, I feel like you see each other a lot, you've got a great connection, you've got good communication, which is important and you've got through some of the rough times then I think it is just the pressure of the new year
Starting point is 00:36:34 if it was think about it if it was June would you be thinking this? No but this time of year is very sociable everybody kind of goes out and does things
Starting point is 00:36:46 it's the time of where you do want to make plans because you don't really want to be stuck indoors all day every day so you go and do these nice things together so maybe it feels like she's like right
Starting point is 00:36:56 like, this is a great time to get everybody together. Yeah. And he doesn't want to do that still. And then she goes to this new year when everyone hibernates anyway for the whole of January? She's like, when the fuck are my friends ever going to meet you? Like, when are we going to do it in a situation where it's not so formal?
Starting point is 00:37:10 Maybe it is just let's go out for a few drinks. And he's like, no, I'm still not ready. I'd be like, what's your beef? He's happy to meet hers, though. Just not for heart and meet his. Red flag, soz. That is a red flag. What's the problem?
Starting point is 00:37:24 Yeah. What's the problem? Whilst I typically at this stage, we're looking to meet his friends soon. He's expressed he's not keen but would be happy to meet mine. Do you know what it could be? He might be embarrassed of his friends and doesn't want her to be put off him. He maybe doesn't trust that they won't say anything silly in front of her. Or it could be a case of maybe they are friends with an ex of his
Starting point is 00:37:48 and it's uncomfortable for him still. There will definitely be a reasoning behind that. Yeah. Or he maybe will think maybe she won't like me when I'm around my friends. I don't want to be a certain type of person around them and be quite reserved when they're going to be like lads, lads, lads. Yeah. Honestly, I have no interest in hanging around with Jason with his friends.
Starting point is 00:38:10 It's not any badness on his friends. That's just not the dynamic of a relationship, I guess. So I feel like if everything else is good, unless that's really important to you, which it might be, I wouldn't be put off by that necessarily. No, but I would definitely ask the question that. why is it okay that you meet my friends but I can't meet yours like what's the problem there? I would just be saying like is there a reason for it? Yeah. And then
Starting point is 00:38:32 you can go off of the reason. But if he says there's not really a reason then I'd be like well there are officers like I would push for or he could just be like my friends don't really do that sort of stuff. Yeah. Like my friends don't really want to meet my girlfriend, they're not interested. I don't hang about in couples. No I don't. So it's like it wouldn't
Starting point is 00:38:50 in early stages like a five month situation like this girl that wouldn't even cross my mind to want to meet your pals it just wouldn't it seems quite a mature thing to me maybe I'm just not mature in that way well it's just I guess it depends
Starting point is 00:39:07 how important it is you and what you want to do there's a lot of people there's a lot of people that find their friends via their partner and their partners their yeah partners and that's just not really being our thing however I have some really good friends
Starting point is 00:39:23 that go out with Richard's friends and we do occasionally do things together yeah but not often because they don't live near us but we probably would as you get older these things aren't as easy but in my hometown though most of my people most of my friends that I know are all in couples and they are all such a huge group so it's important to them that their partner gets along with all the other girls in the group and all the guys I think more knowing that they would be sociable enough with your family and friends and knowing that you're comfortable enough
Starting point is 00:39:56 to do the same thing regardless of how much you do it you don't whatever be with someone who can't go into a group and socialise or be nice and friendly or whatever yeah I would just question them on it and then if that's the answer's positive enough or a good enough reason
Starting point is 00:40:11 then I think you continue this so to answer her question then is she asking if she sticks or twists I think stick definitely stick don't need to put yourself in such pressure with it being in the end of the year
Starting point is 00:40:25 but I do understand what she means though we've said it loads of times same and it is also it's quite it feels like quite a refresh yeah but also this time of year feels almost quite like romantic yeah like all the activities you do are quite
Starting point is 00:40:37 awesome and romantic and coupley so it might feel a bit like oh yeah no I think stick I think find out the friend thing and if that's all okay we stick here not so much a juicy dilemma
Starting point is 00:40:52 in fact it's rather depressive but as we go into the festive season some of your wonderful piggies might be feeling less than excited about it if there's something about this time of year that makes them feel sad I'm here to tell you that you're not alone I'm heading into my second Christmas with no contact with my mum after
Starting point is 00:41:08 deciding that I had to do that to protect myself from being treated so poorly now I still feel pain but a different kind I'm grieving a relationship that could have been but never was so sending love to all your beautiful girls and boys who deserve more protect your peace and build your own family around you that loves you and sees you for who you are blood
Starting point is 00:41:26 related or not. I love that. That's really nice. That is really nice and I definitely, it's so important and this time of year put so much pressure on people to make it feel like as we were saying, wholesome, you need to all be happy families. Actually, the reality is what you see on Instagram, especially on Christmas Day, this is me thinking prior to children because I do think that they've sort of built the magic back in me. But I'll be the first to say that I find Christmas quite difficult because especially coming from like separated families, you kind of wonder who you're going to spend the day with.
Starting point is 00:42:02 It's never, I'll be honest, as magical and as amazing as it's meant to be, quote-unquote. Yeah. I find the day quite boring. Now, as I've got older, I guess I cook and I entertain. You're quite busy on the day because you're the cook. Yeah. But it is quite lonely though. the past few years, it has just been me, Richard and Harty. And I don't have it with my, I don't really spend it with my family. I find it hard being so far away from them. But I can't then go to my dad's and then to my mum's. And I'm very fortunate. I'm able to do that
Starting point is 00:42:36 and I have a good relationship with them. But it isn't this big happy family. I know, I always wondered that with Jensen now. I'm like, as he's getting older, I would love to have a host, a big massive Christmas where all of our families could be in the same room together, but it's just not possible. And that's never really. going to be our thing and that's okay but there is also a time where people that are restrained from their parents or brothers and sisters uncles or whoever or people that are no longer with us it can be really sad and daunting time yeah and you're almost made to feel like you should you should be this big massive happy family unit moment you've all down a few flipping
Starting point is 00:43:16 prasekos down there's family arguments everyone's round overboard games anyway who's had the bloody last of the cheese board it's not always happy families even if you are in a big family you have that I do think people just need to almost like zoom out right we're zooming out again
Starting point is 00:43:35 and just like do whatever makes you happy like stop see if you feel the pressures from social media whatever come off it for that time of year like you need to almost and I don't mean this as harsh as it sounds but like can I be responsible for yourself like if things don't make you feel good stop doing
Starting point is 00:43:51 it. Or if you want to have a really good day but you don't get along with your parents, go somewhere else or have Christmas and your own flat with your partner or a friend. There'll be loads of other friends. Exactly. Like don't do something just because you feel you need to do it when actually it doesn't make you happy or it's not enjoyable. Christmas is all about giving back. Do you know what I did when I did some stuff with Social Back last year? I wanted to do more than anything to go and work in the cafe in that morning. I thought that would be so good. Christmas is all about giving back and being. togetherness it doesn't that doesn't have to be with your family do something that feels
Starting point is 00:44:25 wholesome to you and feels good yeah be with friends and i said this to richard i was like this is our last christmas where we are doing the trip back down south if people want to spend Christmas with us they're going to come to us like we are our own family now yeah and it sounds silly but like our cats i don't really want to leave my cat's christmas day i don't really want to be doing that yeah and i that's my family and that's what's important to us and that's That's what she's saying. It's like once you maybe get to a stage that you've got your own partner or own kids,
Starting point is 00:44:57 there's no need to be with what becomes your extended family if it doesn't work for you or if you don't have a relationship with them anymore. Like that's okay. But yeah, I think it's nice to know that if you don't enjoy this time of year and find it hard, that there's a million other people that also agree.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Oh my God, millions. Millions and millions. Probably more so that enjoy it, to be honest. 100%. Do you know what we've said it before, the best part about Christmas, is the run-up and all these other activities that you're probably doing half of them with your mates anyway.
Starting point is 00:45:25 No, I know. It's not really weird family much, isn't it? Yeah, exactly. Christmas shop on your own. Yeah. Sitting with a movie at home on your own with cheese and wine. Fucking lovely. Love it. Get one of them bloody caramel crunch boxes from Mennesse and stuff it by yourself.
Starting point is 00:45:40 Get a film on and get a cup of tea or a glass of wine. One of those boxes for M&S. Get your feet up, nice jammies on, candle on. Perfect. If you could do that in Christmas, it'd be perfect. Yeah. like I do love Christmas because I love the time of year and I love like the buzz of the Christmas songs and all that
Starting point is 00:45:57 but I do agree that Christmas day once you've kind of done your bits it's like what now? Like I don't, I guess yeah I'm with my family but we don't have a massive, I don't have a massive family either on the one side so like it's not, I've not got a house full of 12 people that's all like rallied around like home alone like I don't do that either but I still have a nice day
Starting point is 00:46:16 but yeah I think it's just family feud and it's just the same as that weddings politics it's like you need a family to exist in this world or we wouldn't be here but also like
Starting point is 00:46:28 you can move on if it doesn't work for you you know right next in 2022 I started a new job and after losing my brother to suicide I was in a vulnerable
Starting point is 00:46:40 sensitive spot I grew close to my fellow single in quotation marks colleague or so I thought he was okay looking but really funny and would tell me all the things that women wants to hear. Fast forward six months. Our catering company
Starting point is 00:46:55 went bust and I learned from another colleague that this guy's wife, oh was coming to open the restaurant back up and running. So my boyfriend's wife was coming to sight. I repeat my boyfriend's wife was coming
Starting point is 00:47:11 to work with us every single day. The signs were there all along. I just didn't see them. I was blind to the red flags and now I feel absolutely look terrible because his wife is so lovely a really gorgeous down-to-earth women I was gutted but could never tell her as I'd hate to be the reason another woman's world fell apart
Starting point is 00:47:28 thankfully I ended it with him immediately and then met my now fiancé three months later that is quite simply the most awkward thing I've ever heard what are your thoughts on that I kind of understand what she's saying about not telling the women though there's such a fine line between like women to women
Starting point is 00:47:53 you deserve to know that someone's doing this to you blah blah blah but I also so understand feeling like you're going to be the one well I don't understand I've not been that but I get what she's saying that you wouldn't want to be the reason someone's world fell apart
Starting point is 00:48:09 because he's the reason the world fell apart yeah not her she didn't know he was with someone yeah so I think I would need to encourage him to tell her and see if you don't, I will because that will push me to do it, hopefully. The issue is that other people in the workplace, no? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:29 That's a tough one for me. I don't know what I would do because I guess it depends on how emotionally attached I am to this person and if I really had strong feelings. I wouldn't want to be with him either but I would be like, what the fuck? You just completely moved me off.
Starting point is 00:48:42 It was her boyfriend for six months. Yeah. I'd feel repulsed as well. that you're going between us both and you've been doing that to me as well I just... I guess I'd almost feel in the same bracket as the wife to an extent
Starting point is 00:48:55 like I'm just one of two that you've been playing here, yeah it is the same situation yeah but I do understand what she means but I know me personally I just feel like I'm maybe a little bit too hot-headed that I'll just be
Starting point is 00:49:09 you fucking deserve better no I know I'm out of here he's a scumbag I guess you don't know well enough to know if she would leave him now I know Yeah, I think I would tell her to be honest
Starting point is 00:49:20 I would But I'm not saying that what you've done is wrong No But me personally, yeah I couldn't walk away from that situation Yeah which is great Moved on from the situation Probably just wants to
Starting point is 00:49:32 Leave it in the past I guess That is a fucking juicy dilemma I'll tell you that for nothing Scum! How do people, how can folk be arsed How can folk Live a double life and get away with it for that length of time?
Starting point is 00:49:47 I need to know how she said the signs were there. Worse dating history ever. Lesbian apocalypse. From the age of 12, I had a boyfriend. Bad enough, I know. We were together for over nine years. He was absolutely horrible in every sense of the word. The less said the better.
Starting point is 00:50:07 I was single and living life. Kissed a girl for the first time four years ago. Never knew I could be so turned on by a woman and boom, lesbian apocalypse. About four months after, that life-changing experience, I dated a woman for six months. She was absolutely gorgeous and we hit it off instantly. Although she was, quote, straight, I certainly didn't do the things that us two young ladies did together when I was straight. Let's put it that way. Oh, God, guys, I'm getting a bit hot.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Anyway, turned out that even after meeting all of her family and her meeting mine, constantly together doing bits, PG in brackets, She had a boyfriend for two months of it. Washed my hands with it and thought maybe being a lesbian isn't any easier. Finally got over that and had a big one-night stand with a friend's friend that was bye. And we dated for five months. Got along well and really enjoyed her company. Once drove an 18-hour round trip just to drop her paracetamol and an ice cream. Where the fuck does she live 18 hours?
Starting point is 00:51:10 What the fuck? I was smitten to say the least, spent most weeks. weekends together, dated here and there and fucking everywhere. Oh my gross. Then I got sent away with work, 14 hour time difference for an undefined amount of time. And lo and behold, single again. Wash my hands with detain and started again.
