Happy Friday Poppiggies.
We hope you are looking forward to the weekend ahead
and you are going to be so excited
because we've got some big news in today's episode
so stay tuned.
I've actually got two pieces of quite crucial information
is what I would say.
Both of which will keep you busy.
Yes.
in the next few months.
Best of season.
We are actually going to be pretty busy, I feel.
But I'm here for it.
I think when we were talking about you like October
is also because, I don't know,
I think things kick off then.
Yeah.
From October onwards, you know what I mean?
Like party season.
Everyone's just really looking forward
to going out in their home cities,
I feel like it's just you kind of go out there again.
And there's somewhere you never really at home that much, are you?
Very true.
I think the Christmas buzz does kind of start with October.
Yeah.
Anyway, first up,
we have something to tell you that you could get involved in.
Yep.
Number one being Kiwi and Coe, who we've worked with in the past.
Clothing brand are doing a pop-up event
with lots of local Glasgow vendors for a sort of pre-Christmas Day out.
And it's to celebrate them hitting 100K?
Yep. 100K follows on Instagram.
Big achievement.
And it's on the Sunday, the 5th of November.
from 11 until 5pm.
Yep.
We are going to be there.
Yeah, we are.
We are working with them just now
to discuss how we can, you know...
We don't know what we're going to do with them.
Get involved.
But regardless, we will be there anyway,
so please come along,
meet us, spend some cash money,
get some gifts for people.
And it's all...
All of the ticket sales
are going to their charity partner,
Kidney Research UK,
which is very close to the founder, Mel's heart.
She has been through the bloody works, bless her, with her kidneys.
So, yes, she'll probably explain a lot more that at the event.
But it's funny because we both turned up to the podcast today and I was like,
I love your cardigan.
And she's like, I like, you're a scarf.
And I'm wearing a bloody Kiwi scarf and jacket, actually.
And you're wearing the cardigan.
You're like, I'm not actually pretending I'm wearing that.
Yeah, that's so cozy.
because you met with Mel?
Mel last week and came away with goodies, didn't you?
Yeah, I know, she's great.
I also think for me, they thrive in winter
because it's like cozy stuff.
Yeah.
In summer it's like young skinny girl and that's no me.
You know what I mean?
Anyway, it's at the Haberd Ashery.
Great venue that, by the way.
Did you come with me that time?
No, Julie.
I don't think I've ever been there by the way.
It's really nice.
But any time...
See a Chavin Cross?
Yes, is it a kind of open space?
with brick work inside.
Yep.
Really high ceilings.
Yep.
I've seen pictures.
It does look great.
Anyway, so pop up with N,
loads of different businesses there,
loads opportunities to get gifts,
spend your money,
just have a nice Sunday out.
It's from 11 to 5.
We'll be there.
And also, if you are a small business, by the way,
she did say this to me.
Get in touch because you have the opportunities
to have like a stall there.
Amazing.
Yeah.
Lots of opportunities there.
Yeah.
And we will share the link to get your tickets
on our stories as well.
Yeah.
And hopefully...
I wonder what we're going to do.
Who knows?
We shall see.
Because we're not like
we can tell anything.
We're not like we can have a stall.
I mean, I could get some
you know, dirty socks and pants
out of the jar if you want.
Make a little bit extra cash.
Oh yeah?
It always needs to take a turn, aren't it?
Keep being your chosen now.
You're totally selling your dirty pants.
Yeah.
I did say that, yeah.
You get a big money for that.
Unless you've been in your ass.
right
I think we had said enough
before that point
did you see somebody send you the gift
on the pod page and it was the cartoon
pooing out loads of Maltises
and it was like Zoe this is you
I thought we've got absolutely no dignity left
but it's gone
Oh, yeah, but it's all fun in games, isn't it?
All fun and games.
Anyway, there's something that, um,
something quite large, I would say,
that a few of you have mentioned
every single time we put a question box on.
Every single time.
I think every single week I get a message about this.
It's also of no relation to anything we're ever asking you guys,
but I appreciate the pushiness I do.
However, we have something to announce
and let you guys know about it,
And it's quite a large deal, I would say.
So anyway, Jess, you can...
I'm nervous.
You can go for it.
Drum roll, please.
We are doing a live show, baby!
Fuck, I'm scared.
We are having our Christmas party that we promised you,
I think about a year ago.
We said that we miss being fun-employed
and not going to Christmas parties.
No, we miss being employed.
Yes. Sorry. And having a big Christmas party. So we're creating one for you. And it's going to be where do you think? Where do you think it is? Let's give them maybe two things to have a guess.
Of course it's going to be Wunderbar. It's at Wunderbar. Downstairs, we have the whole room to ourselves. Don't worry. It's not open to the public. It's only open to the potty piggies. It's going to be a ticketed event. And we have so much in store for you. It's going to be just a really fun night out. It's also going to be.
be um interactive very interactive so we'll sit on the stage we're obviously they've got to finalise
a lot of details but we're going to have a little bit of a live podcast we're going to do something
really exciting which is going to be interactive there's going to be giveaways
places to be one there's going to be alcohol and also mock tales um and if you want to come
alone you listen to this podcast on your own of course we have all bases covered there is going
to be a place where everybody can meet if they are on their own we're trying to
to work out logistics of that and what we want it to be but we definitely want to encourage people that listen to this podcast that feel like they probably want to meet some other fellow podpiggies that they don't they can feel comfortable enough to come on their own basically yeah and we don't want to have you know like a big sign saying single ticket holders here or like you know that to that extent but we would like to do it in a way that you can all come together somehow so that it means maybe you can meet some friends yeah I would love that I would love that
or whatever so.
And it's also not going to be,
it's not like a big stage,
sorry, a big like arena-y concept.
It's very different sized tables and groups.
So it's definitely going to have to be a first-come-first serve basis.
We can't have you put on certain tables.
So if you're with a group, get there early.
If you do get split from your group,
mingle with everybody on the table.
We're all friends here.
Let's have a good time.
It's going to be music.
It's going to be so good.
Oh, and dress the fuck up because it's a party.
I mean, to be fair, wear whatever the hell you want,
but we're going to dress up.
It's our Christmas party.
It's our only Christmas night out, work-wise.
So we're getting dressed up to the nines.
I might even put an individual lash on.
You never know.
Holy molly.
You never know.
These things could happen.
We're going to get the ticket link
and we're going to pop it on our story on Monday.
So this gives a chance for everybody to catch up on the podcast
over the weekend and tell all your friend,
write it in the group chat, share it on your story,
spread the news it's definitely going to be like fastest finger first with tickets there's not many
this is the thing there is not many tickets at all actually i feel like we're maybe either
overestimating but i agree that we're definitely underestimating how many people might want to come
i think so as well i mean we've got a lot of friends combined and they all want to come
and support us so as just said fast fingers monday yep we will post on the stories giving
your countdown anyway a little reminder so that
everyone's got a fair shot,
even if they've not managed to listen to this episode.
But it's coming and it's coming quick.
So what's the date, Zoe?
The 5th of December.
Obviously it's a Tuesday.
So Tuesday the 5th of December.
It's going to be at Wonder Bar down in the ballroom.
Ballroom.
And it's going to be a really nice, fun event,
relax. Obviously, we'll come around and speak to every single one of you
and have a lovely little check.
Jess, my.
And also another good thing as well is
We have it, I believe
Half 7 till 10
The times could be wrong, I'm not quite sure
Doors open at 7
We will grace you with our presence at half 7
Yes
And afterwards if you wish to stay
You can make a whole night of it
Because it will open to the public at that point
And knowing us we probably will stick around
Oh I think we absolutely well
I think we'll be a few drinks in
Yeah and also let's just say
If you miss out on a ticket
it and you want to come afterwards
you should do that as well
yeah yeah and it's a Tuesday night I know but December
every night's a party so let's make the most of it
yolo honey's it's worth it's worth the journey for the pod
yep so that was exciting
I feel we've got a weight lasses off our shoulders
we can be honest now we've got some work to do
we do this we better go do that yes
and I guess we'll see you next Tuesday
see you next Tuesday
bye
Bye.
