A Zen Mind Guided Meditations - A Meditation for Chronic Illness, Pain, and Rest: Gentle Support for Your Body and Heart
Episode Date: July 16, 2025This meditation is a gentle space for those walking through illness, pain, grief, or a diagnosis - whatever that may look like for you. It’s a soft place to land when things just feel too heavy to c...arry. In this practice, we acknowledge what’s present in the body and slowly invite rest into the nervous system, not to fix or change anything, but simply to make room for peace, ease, and love to coexist with whatever is already here. Even in the midst of discomfort, tenderness, stillness, and peace is still possible. Better days are ahead. This meditation is here to meet you exactly where you are. To hold you in compassion, & to remind you that you are not alone. You are so worthy of rest, gentleness, and love, especially now. This practice invites you to come exactly as you are. Hello to this guided meditation.
This meditation has been created for anyone who is experiencing illness, pain, grief,
the diagnosis, or any heaviness.
their mind or body and during this practice we will come together in a space that is both acknowledging
and healing in its own a soft and lovingly gentle space to land when you feel overwhelmed or even
hopeless this is a time where you do not have to carry it all alone in a space where you can come
exactly as you are where you can let your nervous system rest in deep safety and security
of this moment and a space to lovingly hold what hurts while also holding on to peace,
healing and positivity. So once you feel ready, get into a nice, comfortable position,
laps lying down with maybe a pillow underneath your knees or maybe you're just seated comfortably
whatever feels good for your body may wish to softly close your eyes if that feels right for you
and gently bring your awareness inward towards your breath as we begin with a deep and intentional
breath in through the nose and a full exhale out of your breath.
out through the mouth. Another deep inhale welcoming in whatever this practice and this present moment may bring.
And an exhale out, releasing the weight off your shoulders. And one more inhale, softening deeper into this moment.
Exhale, releasing what doesn't belong. Now let's take a moment to drop even deep.
deeper into the body. And even though your body may be struggling, it is still perfect and whole.
Exactly as it is, it deserves rest and love and compassion, just like the rest of you.
And envision a soft light at the crown of your head beginning to form as it slowly melts down through your body.
Relaxing what you can, letting the muscles in your face gently loosen and clenching your jaw.
Feeling this light drip down into your shoulders, feeling any tension or weight.
Slowly beginning to unravel and try to relax your hands and soften your belly if you can.
And let this light move through you as it slowly unravels tension or tightness.
where it does not belong but just softening just inviting you to relax a little deeper and letting it melt through your body as you relax your hips and your pelvis
letting it move into your legs as they feel heavy and just let your body be filled with this light a gentle invitation of relaxation and
Let's shift your awareness to the space in your body that needs it the most.
Maybe it's the sight of the pain or the cause of the grief.
And we're not here to focus on it or to hold onto it.
We're not here to fix it or judge it maybe any more than it already has been.
To lovingly speak to it.
speak to the parts of you that feel heavy or alone's presence.
I see you, I feel you and I know that you are trying.
Speak to your body, still love you.
You are still whole, not broken.
You are human and healing is allowed to happen.
It's allowed to look like many different things.
Breathe deeper, guiding the breath into the layers of the body and the spaces that need it the most.
And in this moment, you don't have to be strong.
Nothing is expected of you.
Let yourself just be in this space.
Setting the weight of it all down for a moment.
Let yourself be held by a higher consciousness, by a deeper frequency.
Just let yourself be.
And in this next moment, slowly open yourself to softness and to light.
Because even here, even in this moment, still have your breath.
You still have this present moment.
There is still prana that is moving through you.
And there is a part of you, a grounded and resilient part of you, that has not given
up, a part of you that still shows up. Even when it's heavy, even when it hurts, and that is powerful,
even inside the unknown, there can still be moments of ease and of grace. Give that to yourself.
You deserve it. Your body may be tired, but your soul is ancient. It is wise. It is sacred and it
remembers how to keep going. Breathe deeper. Breathe into your heart center opening yourself
to the possibility of better days ahead. Even when you can't see it, there is still joy that is yet
to be felt. There is still healing yet to take place. There is still pleasure to be felt and experienced.
there is still relief yet to be had even if it seems out of reach right now better days are ahead the deeper into the heart
into that space breathing in love for your beautiful body exactly as it is breathing in peace breathing in peace for your nervous system breathing in hope and faith for your heart and breathing
in acceptance for every.
I'll settle into these next few moments.
And just rest.
Just allow yourself to be.
You deserve it.
With the gentleness that it's been craving.
And the love that it so deeply deserves.
You belong here and you deserve to take up space.
You are a soul doing the best it can in a body that is asking.
for gentleness and for compassion, for patience, for love, and for acceptance.
And you met it with such.
You may wish to stay here for a while longer, or you may wish to gently close your practice with me here.
Whatever feels comfortable for you, better days are ahead.
You are doing better.
then you may think so much peace and so much love.
