Hello and welcome to this rejuvenating breathwork meditation.
This is a short and powerful practice of alternate nostril breathing, or Nadi Shodana,
designed to balance your energy, sharpen your focus, and restore a sense of inner stability.
This practice is perfect for balancing both hemispheres of your brain, your yin and your yang energy
as you come into a full harmonious balance within.
So when you are ready, find a comfortable seated position,
with your spine tall, your shoulders relaxed, resting your body in a state of full balance.
And let's begin with a deep, full breath in through your nose.
Exhale with a sigh, releasing all of the oxygen from your lungs as we begin.
Now rest your left hand on your lap with your palm facing up.
and place your two piece fingers of your right hand on your third eye, the space in between your eyebrows.
Let's begin by placing your thumb over your right nostril and inhale deeply through the left.
Now close the left nostril with your ring finger.
Open the right and exhale through the right side.
Inhale through the right.
close the right nostril open the left and exhale fully and let's continue with this cycle
inhaling through the left switch exhale through the right now through the right
switch exhale through the left and just continue as you feel the rhythm with each inhale
bringing in fresh and steady energy and every exhale releasing any hot stagnant energy the left breath
cools and soothes and the right breath warms and energizes together creating this restorative balance
within all through the left switch exhale through the right inhale through the right switch
and exhale through the lap.
Now for the next two minutes,
you'll have the ability to continue practicing this on your own.
With every cycle, your mind becoming more clear,
more balanced as you sink into a deeper,
clearer state of internal balance and harmony.
A moment to finish the last cycle of your current breath,
and once you are ready,
Release your hands, resting both of them comfortably into your lap.
Take one more deep breath in through both nostrils.
Exhale out completely.
Allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Take a moment to gently check in with yourself.
Noticing how your body and how your mind feels now,
as opposed to a few moments ago.
when you started this practice.
Notice if you feel more balanced,
more steady.
When you are ready,
you may gently open your eyes,
carrying with you
this balanced and harmonious energy
into the remainder of your day.
Wishing you peace and love.
Namaste.
