Hello and welcome to this guided meditation. This meditation is meant to serve as a grounded and intentional reminder that life is not waiting for you somewhere else. It is happening right now. So often we become fixated on the destination and we tell ourselves that once we arrive then we'll feel the way that we want to feel
Starting point is 00:01:33 happy or in love or at peace or fulfilled. But when we live in the when we miss the beauty and the depth and the meaning that is available in this moment. moment and in the journey. So this practice will return us back to the present space, back to the journey where it is all unfolding as we arrive there with gratitude, with love and with fulfillment for everything that is unfolding. Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position and and you may wish to gently close your eyes or keep them open as we begin with a deep breath in
Starting point is 00:02:41 through the nose feeling your belly expand full breath out through the mouth your belly release and fall another deep and slow breath in through the nose noticing the sensation of your inhale and a slow and controlled exhale out through the mouth and one more deep breath in through the nose and a full exhale out letting your breath return to its natural rhythm and take a moment to just notice your surroundings noticing the temperature in room noticing the textures that are around you noticing the colors the light the space around you and how you fit inside of it and your mind may want to wander to what's next and that's perfectly normal but when it does just gently bring it back to this present space you know that you are
Starting point is 00:04:43 here because there is nowhere else you could be. In this next day, bring your awareness to something that you have been working towards or anticipating. It could be a milestone or an achievement or a change that you've been longing for. And yet instead of racing towards it or fixating on it, offer yourself an intentional pause and a breath exhale and quietly say to yourself I choose to find beauty in the process not just the outcome and present for the love happiness and fulfillment that exists right here right now use this moment to sink deeper and connect with this journey that you're on recognizing how much is here along the way, how much that might be invisible if your eyes were only fixated
Starting point is 00:06:41 on the finish line. You are able to walk on this path and move forward towards your destination while still connecting with and deeply enjoying the present moment. This is the space where life truly happens. It is not when you get there. It is right now. and use your breath to create space within, to allow yourself that soft space to land, and to appreciate it all. And when your mind wants to rush forward, gently bring it back and see the moments of joy, see the challenges that you've met. Notice the winds both big and small, taking a moment to honor the quiet, ordinary days,
Starting point is 00:08:03 that shaped you in ways that you didn't notice at the time and turn around and look behind you and see how far you've already come and how much you've already accomplished. Offer yourself the ability to see the entire journey, not just what's left, the destination. Taking a moment to say thank you and to offer gratitude. for it all. The quiet promise to yourself. To slow down and to appreciate exactly where you are. To invite peace and joy, ease and gratitude to wash over you and to coexist in this present moment, not just upon arrival. This is the space where life is happening. Take a place. Take a few moments to be here with it. Feel ready you may gently wish to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Starting point is 00:10:51 welcoming in one last deep breath in through the nose and a full exhale out through the mouth. As we close this practice, let the feeling of this journey, the beauty and the richness and the presence sink deeply into your being. Trust that you are on the right path with the right timing, giving yourself permission to truly live and experience every step. This space where life is unfolding, it is beautiful for all of its experiences. You are here, and this is where life is.
Starting point is 00:11:56 happening wishing you peace and love
