Starting point is 00:00:37 Thank you so much for being here. Oh and welcome to this healing meditation designed to soothe the burnout that you may be experiencing. Burnout typically occurs when we have been under prolonged stress, often feeling overwhelmed by our responsibilities and expectations. Our bodies begin to shut down as a sign of mental, physical, and emotional fatigue. Arise from a sense of people pleasing
Starting point is 00:01:37 and inability to say no or constant worries about judgment and failure. But during this meditation, you will begin to heal by recognizing that you are enough and by prioritizing your own well-being, cultivating peace, stillness, and healing. When you are ready, begin by finding a comfortable position and silencing all other distractions.
Starting point is 00:02:23 This time is sacred for you and you are, alone, whether you are seated or lying down. Gently close your eyes and begin with a deep breath in, filling your lungs completely. Hold for a moment and then release with a big exhale as you do feel your body settling into the present moment. Notice the sensation of your breath. as it flows in and out, allowing your breath to become a steady, calming rhythm. Now through your nose, feeling refreshed and with your exhale, try to softly constrict your throat as the air leaves your body.
Starting point is 00:03:41 We should create a soft humming or ocean-like sound, known as your Ujjayi breath. This form of breathing signals your nervous system that it is okay to relax and to rest. And it can also help you stay present with your breath when your mind begins to wander. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more present in this moment, becoming closer to your inner self. Let's gently shift your awareness to the concept of burnout in your own mind. life, lovingly and without judgment. Acknowledge the stress and exhaustion that you have been feeling.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Understand that burnout is your body's way of telling you that it needs rest, that it needs care. It often stems from a deep desire to meet every expectation, to be everything for everyone, and the pressure of constant worry about what others might be. think or say. Take a moment to gently reflect on what led you here. Consider the times that you've said yes when you wanted to say no. Think about the moments you pushed yourself beyond your limits, fearing judgment or failure. Recognize these patterns with compassion, knowing that you did the best you could with the resources that you had at that time. As you continue to
Starting point is 00:06:25 Breathe deeply. Visualize these thoughts and beliefs about people pleasing, fear of judgment, and the inability to say no. Imagine gathering them gently in your hands, holding them with tenderness. These beliefs have been a part of your journey, but now it is time to let them go. With each exhale, consciously release one of these beliefs. feel the weight lifting off your shoulders as you let go of the need to please everyone, the fear of judgment, the inability to set boundaries,
Starting point is 00:07:29 release them into the air, watching them dissipate and vanish, no longer holding power over you. You may decide to say to yourself, I release this pattern that no longer serves me with each belief that you hand back to the universe. Now turn your focus inward. Feel the space that has been created within you, the lightness that comes from releasing those burdens.
Starting point is 00:08:25 This space is yours to fill with self-care, self-compassion, and self-love. Acknowledge that you are enough just as you are. you are worthy of rest of saying no of prioritizing your well-being with each breath affirm your commitment to taking time for yourself to listen to your needs and to honor them in the next few moments will repeat a mantra a simple yet powerful statement to carry with you as you continue your journey of healing, who either silently or out loud. Repeat after me, I am enough.
Starting point is 00:09:45 I honor my needs and prioritize my well-being. I am enough. I honor my needs and prioritize my well-being. I'm enough. I honor my needs and prioritize my well-being. Feel the truth. of these words resonate within you. Embrace the comfort and strength that they provide,
Starting point is 00:10:45 knowing that you are deserving of care and compassion. Take the next few moments to recite these words to yourself with each and every breath, being gentle and compassionate with yourself as you do. I am enough. I honor my needs and prioritize my. well-being, making each word to soak into your mind and body, filling you with peace and reassurance. Take a few more deep breaths, feeling the peace and renewal blossoming within you.
Starting point is 00:12:16 When you are ready, gently open your eyes, or continue to relax in the state of blissful tranquility, knowing that you are exactly where you are meant to be right here, right now. You have chosen to do something good for yourself, and you have taken the first step, the biggest step, in healing, gently place your palm over your heart, in gratitude and self-compass compassion, knowing that healing from burnout is a journey, and you are taking the most important steps needed to nurture and care for yourself. You are enough, and you are worthy of this time and attention, wishing you peace, love, and continued healing. Namaste.
