A Zen Mind Guided Meditations - Holding Space: Guided Meditation for Deep Presence, Safety & Surrender
Episode Date: October 1, 2025๐ฏ๏ธWhat does it mean to really hold space? During this practice, we use the concept of holding space as a container for presence, safety, and surrender. So often we move through life carrying ou...r roles, responsibilities, and masks weโve learned to wear. But here, you are lovingly invited to set it all down. In this space, you are safe to simply be. To process whatโs in your body, your mind, and your emotional field. You are safe to experience whatever arises, as this meditation is space for you, and only you.ย With love, Joย ๐๐๐ More from A Zen Mind ๐๐๐ โจJoin Me on Instagram! ๐ Check out my online Programs & Courses ๐๏ธ Listen Ad Free ๐ Work With Me 1:1 (Custom Meditations) ๐Join My Email List ๐ธwww.azenmindpodcast.com ๐ Say Thanks & Support A Zen Mind Learn more about your ad choices. Thank you so much for being here.
To this guided meditation, take a moment to get nice and comfortable, whether you're seated or lying down,
making sure that you're free from distractions, safe and cozy.
if you're lying down perhaps placing a pillow underneath your knees or just sitting comfortably
whatever feels right for you and just give yourself a moment to arrive in this present space
letting your breath naturally become a bit slower a bit deeper without forcing it and in this
moment, I want you to think about what holding space means to you. We often hear it as extrinsic.
Others holding space for us, whether that be with their attention or their curiosity. But what does it mean
to also hold space for yourself? To let yourself exist just as you are. To create your own.
own space, one that is free of any expectation, free from any judgment, a space where you can
come exactly as you are. And so during this practice, take whatever you need and know that I am here
to hold space for you, just as you are here to hold space for your own self. And let's begin with a deep breath
in through the nose filling your body completely with fresh oxygen complete exhale out releasing anything
that no longer serves you another deep breath in through the nose complete exhale out
through the mouth and deep breath in deep into your belly
and a full exhale out letting your breath return to its natural rhythm taking a moment to melt deeper into this present space as you just listen listen to the music in the background listen to the sound of my voice listen to anything within or around you are here nowhere else just here
No matter what has happened today, or this week, or this month, no matter what there is to do tomorrow or the next day.
Right now, absolutely nothing is expected of you.
You can come exactly as you are.
You have done so much already.
You've carried the weight of other people's expectations, of responsibility,
of roles and titles, you've carried the weight of holding your own vision.
Give yourself permission to set it down.
You are safe to dismantle the exterior, the armor, the masks.
Here you can take it off and let it go.
Here you can just be you.
Existing outside of timelines, side of the exact, side of,
expectations, just you in this infinite space of what it means to be completely present.
Last expanse of spacious anonymity.
Nobody else can see or feel or access except you, a space that is unique to your own inner
experience in this presence.
where everything light can actually exist of without attachment or containment can exist in this presence
there's freedom in this presence patience in this presence let it be whatever you need it to be
now gently shift your awareness to your physical body and offer it a gentle scan
noticing if there's any areas of tension or tightness or heaviness can store so much emotion and when left unprocessed it can build up so just notice any space
that needs a little extra attention a little extra love breathe deeper into it breathe slower into it taking the next few moments
to hold space just for yourself giving yourself whatever it is that you need in this space emotions may arise and that's okay
whether through tears or some type of physical sensation or physical movement maybe it's a laughter or just peace
whatever you experience let it out and release that is so safe safe to surrender safe to let your guard down
safe to sit in this infinite presence safe to be exactly as you are take your time this space is for you
to your breath noticing its rhythm noticing its sensations bringing your awareness to your body
where you are right now he feels to your experience here you don't have to label or even make sense
of what you experienced just noticing it noticing the space that you created is more than enough
Once you're ready, you may wish to gently bring some movement back into your body,
wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And once you feel ready, you may wish to slowly open your eyes.
This space will always be here for you to return to whenever you need it.
Wishing you peace and endless love.
