A Zen Mind Guided Meditations - Meditation for Patience: Go Slowly

Episode Date: April 1, 2026

⏳ Patience is a practice. During this meditation, we focus on cultivating the energy of patience, softening the urge to rush, control outcomes, or jump to conclusions. These patterns often keep us i...n cycles of urgency and reactivity, until we bring more conscious awareness to them.  Through a simple visualization, you’ll be guided to create space. Space for things to breathe, unfold, and resolve in their own time. We shift into the energy of acceptance, ease, and flow, releasing tension, urgency, and the need to force what isn’t ready. As we close the practice, we anchor in a beautiful, simple mantra: “slowly… slowly… slowly…” A reminder of what true patience feels like. Starting point is 00:00:31 And as always, once the meditation begins, there will be no advertisements and no disruptions. Thank you so much for being here. And welcome to this guided meditation. Take a moment to find a comfortable position, free from any distractions and expectations. Just arriving in this present moment with an open mind. and an open heart, taking a moment to recognize and honor whatever intention brought you to this practice today. And when you're ready, gently close your eyes and turn towards your inner experience. Welcoming a deep breath in through the nose and a slow, controlled,
Starting point is 00:02:09 breath out through your mouth. With your next breath, inhale to the count of four, hold for four, now to the count of five. Continue with a few more breaths like this, inhaling for four, holding for four, and exhaling for five. The counting to return to its natural rhythm. bring your awareness to the idea of patience and what does patience look and feel like to you it's letting go of the need for control or maybe it's shifting your focus on what you can control your thoughts your attitude the way that you move through the world maybe it looks like trust like active listening like allowing things to be as they are. Patience is not waiting in tension. It's not holding your breath until something changes. It's not reacting from urgency or jumping to conclusions. Patience is space. It's acceptance,
Starting point is 00:05:12 calm endurance, confidence, clarity and compassion. Patience is the ability to to let something exist without immediately trying to fix it or change it or rush it or define it. So for just a moment, lovingly ask yourself, I let something in my life be exactly as it is without adding a story or a timeline to it, without deciding what it means or where it's going. and this may feel unfamiliar even uncomfortable and that's okay just notice what it would feel like in your body in your heart in your mind if you just let it be you to gently bring to mind something specific in your life it's a situation a person a dynamic something that feels unresolved or still in motion, imagine holding it in your hands and instead of pulling it closer,
Starting point is 00:07:32 place it gently in front of you, giving it space and letting it sit there, without interference, without pressure, without needing it to change. What happens when you stop gripping it, when you allow it to breathe, when you allow yourself to breathe, and intelligence to timing, to unfolding, and to the way that things move in their own rhythm. The role is not to force that rhythm. Your role is simply to stay present within yourself, within your power, as it unfolds. Take a deep breath in. Let your shoulders drop, let your jaw unclench, free muscle in your body,
Starting point is 00:09:43 letting yourself gently unwind and come out of urgency. Whatever is meant to open will open in its own time, in its own way. You don't need to rush. Take the next few moments to just rest here in this energy of acceptance, of calm, of spaciousness, of pure patience. Hide your awareness back to your body. Notice how you feel now, how your body feels, how the space around your heart feels, how your energetic frequency feels. And if it feels comfortable for you,
Starting point is 00:12:49 place a hand on your heart and quietly repeat to yourself. Let the energy of those words flow throughout your entire being enveloping you in this calm spacious energy take one more deep breath in once you feel ready you may bring some gentle movement back into your body and slowly open your eyes letting the energy of patience of calm of ease infuse into everything that you do everywhere that you go and everything that you encounter wishing you peace and love namaste
