Episode Date: February 12, 2025

👁️ This meditation is a practice in pure awareness—because at its core, meditation isn’t about control, it’s about noticing. Noticing your thoughts, your feelings, your surroundings. Simply... observing what is. This is an open-eye meditation, designed to be done anywhere—while driving, at the gym, working, cleaning—wherever you are. Through gentle prompts, you’ll be guided to tune into your environment, your body, and the present moment. With each pause, you’ll have space to simply notice. The beauty of this practice is its simplicity. The more you notice, the more meditative life becomes. This meditation is all about noticing, which is what meditation is at its core.
Starting point is 00:01:06 It's about noticing the subtle sensations in your body, the thoughts that come and go, and the world around you that you interact with on a daily basis. The more connected you are to your environment, the more present you become. When you take the time to simply notice, you are tapping into a deeper sense of awareness, presence, and consciousness.
Starting point is 00:01:41 So this is an open-eyed meditation, one that you can do anywhere. perhaps while you're commuting, cleaning, exercising, or really any other activity that you find yourself doing regularly. It's a chance for you to pause and connect with the world around you, intentionally noticing, without judgment, without the need for change. This is not a meditation full of instructions or guidance, rather a time and a space for you to simply notice.
Starting point is 00:02:29 to open your eyes, to take in your surroundings, and to truly see and connect with the environment around you. So after each prompt, I will say the word notice. That will signal the next few moments of silence as you simply notice. So when you are ready, let's begin. Let's start by just noticing your breath, not changing it at all. but just noticing the rhythm of it. Notice.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Your attention to the points of contact in your body. Notice where your feet meet the ground, where your hands rest, where your body connects with the surface. Feel the sensations of touch, firm or soft, cold or warm, the way that your clothing feels on your body.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Now choose a color in your body. your environment. See if you can find three things around you that match that color. Really take the time to look to observe the small details. Observe the shade, the tone of the color, the texture, and how it blends in with everything else. Notice, if you're in a space with other people, bring your attention to them. Observe their presence with your Without expectation, without trying to name them or define them. Simply notice their energy, their movements, their essence. How do they move through the space?
Starting point is 00:07:12 What little details can you see that you might usually overlook? And if you're alone, just notice the space around you. every object, every corner, every line, the way the light touches the surfaces, the way the air feels in this room. Notice. Take a moment to let everything settle in. You don't need to do anything. You are just observing, witnessing, tuning in to all of the small details in the world around
Starting point is 00:08:39 you. becoming fully immersed in this present moment, in this space, in this moment of time. There is no right or wrong way to experience this, and there's no need to rush through it. Simply let your senses guide you. And if your mind starts to wander, notice this. Notice the fact that you are being carried away by other thoughts. and gently guide it back, guide it back to your breath or to the colors or the sensations. Let each moment be an invitation to reconnect with what's around you, to bring a sense
Starting point is 00:09:50 of aliveness to the ordinary, to make the invisible visible. And take the last few moments of this meditation to freely notice, intentionally observing, every detail, connecting deeply with your surroundings. Notice, when you feel ready, take a deep, slow breath in, and as you exhale, feel the peace and the presence that you've cultivated in the space. Let it be with you as you continue your day. Remember, this practice can be done anywhere. It's in the simple things, the things you might usually overlook, where you can find that deep connection. Now slowly bring your awareness back to this moment, feeling the ground beneath you, the air around you, into your body, noticing all of the sensations that you just experienced
Starting point is 00:12:37 carrying with you. The ability to pause. and connect, be more present, no matter where you are, wishing you peace and love. Namaste.
