Starting point is 00:00:37 Thank you so much for being here. Hello and welcome to this guided meditation. This meditation is focused on relieving stress by addressing its root cause. We often seek temporary solutions to relieve stress. without providing the necessary time to understand where it is actually coming from and how to prevent it from being so prevalent in our lives. So this meditation will serve as a time of deep introspection and reflection as we explore cause and effect,
Starting point is 00:01:33 cultivating not only a deeper sense of understanding and self-awareness, but also creating space for peace, relaxation relief and serenity so when you are ready find a comfortable position either seated or lying down and gently close your eyes begin by taking a full breath in and a full breath out and let's shift into our four seven eight breathing pattern beginning with a deep breath in through your nose to the count of four and holding at the top of your breath to the count of seven releasing through your mouth to the count of eight and if you can't reach these numbers that is totally okay just do the best that you can inhaling to the count of four holding to the count of seven and exhaling
Starting point is 00:03:06 to the count of eight and one more inhale to the count of four Hold to the count of seven and release to the count of eight. And just allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm at this time. Steady and secure. Always there for you when you need it. See if you can feel or hear your own heart beating in your chest. A constant reminder of the magnificent life force that is within you. always working so hard to keep you alive.
Starting point is 00:04:29 A testament to the miracle and the greatness of your body of your life here on this earth. Now let's begin to move into a space which is open for introspection. Take a moment to bring your awareness to the areas in your life where you feel the most stress. It could be related to work, relationships, health, finances, or any other aspect. Without judgment, simply observe these areas and how they make you feel.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Acknowledge any emotions that arise, whether it's anxiety, frustration, sadness, or something different. Lovingly bring your awareness to these emotions, knowing that it is okay to feel the way that you feel but those feelings are not permanent, nor do they define you. Ask yourself, what is the underlying cause of this stress? And allow your mind to explore this question gently. It might be a fear of failure, a need for control, unresolved past experiences,
Starting point is 00:06:40 or a feeling of not being enough. Whenever it comes up, accept it with compassion and understanding. You're not here to solve the problem right now. Your only purpose is to observe and acknowledge. Let these thoughts and feelings arise within without gripping to them, understanding that you are a magnificent, interconnected, capable, spiritual being, literally composed of the same compounds of the stars and galaxies within the cosmos. You as a true being are far beyond that, which caused.
Starting point is 00:07:51 is you stress. You are bigger than it. You are stronger than it. You have the right to shift your energy, your perspective, and your relationship with it. Trust that you have the ability to navigate through challenges and adapt to new situations. Visualize yourself holding a small, beautiful box in your hands. Imagine placing the root cause of your stress inside of this box. See yourself closing the lid and locking it securely, knowing that you have the power to contain and manage the stressor. No matter how big it may seem, nothing is too big or too grand for you to handle.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Once you feel ready, bring your awareness back to your breath, back to the beating of your heart, feeling the rise and fall of your chest, feeling the flow of energy through your body, remind yourself that you are enough just as you are and your worth is not determined by external circumstances or outcomes take a moment to visualize yourself in a future where you handle stress with ease and grace where you are not easily swayed where you honor your boundaries and where you stand tall in your divine trust in the universe and your
Starting point is 00:10:12 capabilities to handle anything that comes your way, feeling a sense of peace and confidence radiating from within you. Before we close this meditation, let's take a moment to express gratitude. While it may seem counterintuitive to express gratitude for stress itself, see it from a greater perspective. If you are stressed about work, express gratitude for having the ability to work, and for having a job, perhaps express gratitude for the ability to find a new job and a new opportunity. If you are stressed about a relationship, express gratitude for your other healthy and abundant relationships. Shifting your perspective to the silver lining will always make the situation less stressful. If your stress is derived from a different area, still try to find the silver lining and express
Starting point is 00:11:34 gratitude for it, consciously shifting your perspective in a more positive and conducive way, be your greatest good. Know that whatever it is that you are experiencing, it is serving a greater purpose to help you grow, to transform, to become stronger and more confident in yourself. Every single obstacle is an opportunity for growth. When you are ready, gradually bring your awareness back to the present moment, wiggling your fingers and toes and feeling the surface beneath you, gently opening your eyes and coming back to the present moment. Know that addressing the root cause of stress is a journey,
Starting point is 00:12:42 and it may be beneficial to journal your thoughts and feelings after this meditation. Putting it out on paper helps you see the situation objectively and put it into perspective. Remember to check in with yourself regularly and be patient and compassionate with yourself. Trust in your ability to find peace and balance no matter what life brings. Wishing you peace and love.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Namaste.
