A Zen Mind Guided Meditations - Self-Forgiveness: A Meditation for Letting Go & Moving Forward

Episode Date: December 3, 2025

🤍Self-forgiveness is one of the most powerful gifts we can offer ourselves. This meditation isn’t about digging up the past or reliving old moments, it’s about softening & acknowledging the par...ts of you that tried their best, and offering them the compassion they deserved all along. During this practice, we move through gentle reflection, inner forgiveness, and gratitude, allowing shame, regret, and self-judgment to loosen their grip.  You’ll be guided to meet old versions of yourself with understanding, to say “I forgive you,” and extend the love to your own self that you deserve.  This is a simple, soulful space to free yourself from what you’ve been carrying and step forward with clarity, compassion, and love. Starting point is 00:00:31 And as always, once the meditation begins, there will be no advertisements and no disruptions. Thank you so much for being here. Hello and welcome to this guided meditation. Take a moment to find a comfortable position for your body, one that feels supported and natural. And let yourself arrive in this space, coming exactly. as you are, allowing yourself to just be and just noticing the rhythm of your breath without changing it, without forcing anything, just letting your awareness settle there for a few moments. As we begin this practice, I want to remind you that self-forgiveness is one of the most powerful.
Starting point is 00:02:07 liberating gifts that we can offer ourselves. We are all works in progress. We are constantly evolving and learning from our experiences. So whatever brought you to this space today, just allow it to be exactly as it is. This practice isn't about digging anything up or judging or judging or analyzing or contemplating. You've likely done so much of that already.
Starting point is 00:03:02 This is a space where you can show up fully in your true self, in your vulnerability, in your softness, and allow this practice to be whatever it needs to be. Stay with your breath or a few more moments. Perhaps you can tune into the beating of your own heart, energy moving within your body. It's feeling how wonderful and incredible your body truly is. This body has been with you through so many different versions of life. So many different experiences. And yet here it is, in this very space, in this very moment,
Starting point is 00:04:28 Now sitting with the intention of being open to something new, something kinder, softer, something more gentle and loving that it maybe has known before. Drop your awareness into your heart center and lovingly ask yourself, what is it that I am ready to forgive myself for? Make mistakes and do things that they regret. But this does not define your life. We are all human and in our exceptional humanness. We are bound to make mistakes and to not get it right the first time. But those mistakes are opportunities for us to learn, to grow, and to do better next time. You are doing the best that you can day by day.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Even right now, offer yourself grace for just being here, for making the choice to explore what forgiveness might look like. Now envision yourself across all timelines, the younger version of yourself, the past version of yourself, the versions of yourself that didn't know any better, and see all of those versions of you that have existed. and gather them all in the space of your heart in a way that feels natural to you. Speak to them. I see you. You tried your best.
Starting point is 00:07:41 I forgive you. I have so much love for you. I see you. You tried your best. I forgive you so much love for you. You're so gently. Give yourself permission. Those memories go or at least let them loosen.
Starting point is 00:08:41 their grip. Feel the lightness starting to form in your chest. Letting this offering and this intention of forgiveness shine even the slightest bit of light into your heart and let that radiate outward. Now think about all of the good and the kind things that you have done in this lifetime. Think about all of the amazing things that you still have yet to do, all of the incredible ways in which you can show up for yourself and others. That energy and that gratitude for all that you are and all that you have yet to be. Your chest, through your core, down your leg, you are no longer bound by the past. And in this moment, you can accept the present and choose to be. choose to move forward in a better more peaceful loving way.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Once you feel ready, allow your awareness to return to your breath into your body, to the energy within you and feel it flowing. Notice any and all sensations in your own time. A deep, cleansing breath and on your exhale perhaps you sigh or just let it all go letting any remaining tension or heaviness exit your body welcoming some gentle movement into your fingers and your toes and slowly open your eyes you deserve to be happy and you deserve to be free You deserve to live a beautiful, wonderful life. Wishing you peace and love. Namaste.
