A Zen Mind Guided Meditations - Self Guided Silent Meditation
Episode Date: May 8, 2024This meditation is a self guided silent meditation. The first two minutes I will prepare you for the remainder of the meditation, which provides you the space to contemplate in silence, away from the ...guidance of my voice, with nothing but the relaxing sounds of the background music, ocean waves, and the sound of your own breath. This meditation is a great introduction into self guided meditations. 🌼A Zen Mind Instagram ⭐ Join My Email List✨www.azenmindpodcast.com💖Get more meditations from A Zen Mind ☁️ Shop my favorite Meditation Cushions & Supplies 🙏Say Thanks & Support A Zen Mind Learn more about your ad choices. Thank you so much for being here.
And welcome to this self-guided silent meditation session,
where you will be able to experience eight minutes of completely undisturbed silent contemplation.
Find a comfortable seated position and gently rest.
your hands on your lap or your knees, close your eyes softly. Or if you prefer, keep them
slightly open with a soft gaze downward. Whatever feels most comfortable for you, and begin by
taking a few deep, slow, and intentional breaths in through your nose and exhaling fully
all the way out through your mouth, allowing yourself to settle into this moment.
During these next eight minutes, try to release any expectations or judgments.
Simply allow yourself to be present with whatever arises in your mind or body.
You may notice thoughts, sensations, or emotions that rise up.
without controlling them.
Allow them to pass like clouds in the sky.
There's no need to attach to them
or to try and push them away.
Just noting what they are and letting them pass by
is more than enough.
Remember that it is completely normal
for our minds to try to pull us out of the present moment.
So when that happens,
just make a note of it.
and gently guide your awareness back to the sensation of your breath flowing in and out,
back to the sound of the waves in the background.
You will hear the chimes when it is time to begin,
and when you are near the end of your silent meditation.
So if you are ready, just settle into your body and let's begin.
As we near the end of this meditation, take a moment to examine.
acknowledge yourself for showing up and dedicating this time to your well-being.
Choosing to do something wonderful for yourself today. Notice how you feel in your body and
your mind compared to when you began. Compared to when you began this meditation, take a few more
deep breaths, gradually bringing your awareness back to the space around you. When you feel ready,
gently open your eyes if they were closed or lift your gaze if it was lowered take a moment to
stretch or adjust your posture as needed and carry this sense of calm presence and clarity
cultivated during this meditation with you into the rest of your day or night with peace and namaste
