Now a quick message from the sponsors of today's episode, and as always, once the meditation begins,
Starting point is 00:01:22 there will be no advertisements and no disruptions. Thank you so much for being here. And welcome to this guided meditation. This meditation has been created to help you sharpen your focus and cultivate clarity. by training your mind to be deliberate and intentional. You will strengthen your ability to direct your attention both in this meditation and in your everyday life. Remember, energy flows where your attention goes.
Starting point is 00:02:16 So whatever you choose to focus on, whether positive or negative, grows stronger and more powerful in your life, attention is such a valuable asset. Your attention is like a magnet for your energy, so it's important to be mindful of where you place your thoughts. This meditation will help you sharpen and strengthen this muscle. Begin by finding a comfortable position, either seated or lying down, and gently close your eyes or focus on a point in the room,
Starting point is 00:03:04 room. Allow your body to settle into stillness, feeling supported by the surface beneath you. Just take a moment to sit in the stillness, noticing the sensations of your body, noticing the sensations of the room that you're in. Just observe. Now take a moment to notice a single physical sensation. It could be the weight of your body pressing into the chair or floor. It could be the air against your skin or the rhythm of your breath. Choose one point of contact and simply notice it. No need to change or judge it. Just observe with curiosity.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Now bring your awareness to your breath. Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing. Any sensations that you may feel as the air enters through your nose. the gentle rise of your chest and your belly. Notice that slight pause right before. You cascade into a beautiful exhale, noticing the sensations that come with that. There is no need to force or control the breath.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Simply allow it to flow as it will. Notice the subtleties of each breath. Notice the coolness of the air as it enters through your nostrils, the expansion of your chest and the soft release of your exhale. Notice how each breath feels unique grounding you deeper and deeper into the present moment. And just take the next few moments to allow yourself to be fully immersed in this beautiful process. I notice your mind beginning to wander. This is so natural.
Starting point is 00:07:31 But when it happens, gently guide your focus back to the breath. No matter how many times you have to do this, each time you return, you are training your mind to focus more deeply, more intentionally. If you wish to help anchor your attention even more, begin counting your breaths on the inhale, silently count one on the exhale, count two. Continue this pattern counting each inhale and exhale until you reach 10 and then count back down to 1. If your mind drifts or if you lose track, don't judge yourself.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Simply acknowledge the distraction. Witness the distraction. Let it go and begin counting again from one. This is not a practice about perfection, but about cultivating patience and presence. So continue with this exercise, counting from 1 to 10 and 10 to 1. You did an incredible job. Now let's let go of the counting and just be here with your breath, allowing yourself to rest in the space of stillness and awareness. and as we come to the end of this meditation,
Starting point is 00:11:48 take one final deep, steady breath in and a long, slow exhale out, opening your eyes or wiggling your fingers and your toes, gently bringing your awareness back to your surroundings. Know that you can return to this meditation or this practice of breathing. Whenever you need, you can begin to integrate this into your day.
Starting point is 00:12:25 Perhaps when you're walking or when you're working, whatever it may be, try to stop, pause, and count your breaths in this way. From 1 to 10, from 10 back down to 1. Over time, your mind will become more comfortable with this pattern. You'll be able to be able to be able to 10, from 10 back down to 1. to strengthen your focus, your attention, and your clarity.
Starting point is 00:13:04 This practice is always here for you, a tool to center yourself and strengthen your attention whenever you need it. Energy always flows where your attention goes. Wishing you peace and love. Namaste.
