Welcome to this guided meditation.
Take a moment to settle into your most comfortable sleeping position, making sure that you're neither too warm nor too cool.
Your clothing is so loose and comfortable on your body.
taking a moment and notice the surface underneath you,
noticing how it holds you and conforms to your body,
how it cradles you in safety and a familiar comfort.
No matter what happened today,
no matter what experiences you moved through,
what thoughts you had, what challenges you faced,
now is the time to set it all down.
and to let it all go, to leave it.
There is nothing to fix, or contemplate, or judge.
There's only presence, only peace.
And take a moment to just release any expectations of this practice.
If you fall asleep, that's great.
If not, that's perfectly okay as well.
Just let your body relax, and rest will come in its own time.
drawing in a nice deep breath through your nose exhale slowly through your mouth beginning to soften
and settle and unwind and for the next few breaths let's move with our 4-7-8 breathing pattern
as always don't strain or force just do whatever is comfortable and easy for you
letting the body naturally relax with this breath and you're ready go through the nose to the count of four
hold to the count of seven and exhale slowly to the count of eight again inhale to the count of four
hold to the count of seven exhale to the count of eight continuing with a few more breaths
in your own time.
Inhaling for four, holding for seven, and exhaling for eight.
Seeing the current cycle of breath that you're on, and once you're ready, you may release
the counting and let your breath return to an easy, familiar rhythm.
You to feel your breath like waves along the shore.
Each inhale the waves rolling in.
your body with this calm and peaceful energy and each exhale the waves gently pulling away
any tensions any worries any stress washing it out and returning anything negative to the earth
to be renewed leaving space behind within your mind your body and your heart with each breath in
and each breath out.
Thoughts may come and go, and that's okay.
See them as distant waves rising softly
and fading before they ever reach you.
There's no need to follow, no need to engage.
Just let them rise and fall.
The mental chatter will become a little bit quieter.
Just let yourself be here.
letting your awareness find its way to the tips of your toes as you envision the waves slowly rising
and steady being peace and tranquility into your body being upward softening your feet
your ankles and your shins moving into your knees and your thighs this deep heavy calm
spreading through your legs soothing any tightness any tension and the wave rises to meet your hips
your lower back softening any holding moving into your abdomen melting away any tension
delivering this gentle heaviness it's comforting and grounding and the waves continue to rise
up to your chest as your breath becomes slower and deeper and your body feeling more open
more receptive to rest to deep and nurturing rest and the waves flow through your shoulders
down your arms all the way to your fingertips releasing everything it touches rising again
through your upper bat, infusing every cell in your being with this soothing energy,
until the wave reaches your face, your jaw clenches, your cheeks soften, your temples release,
all the tiny muscles around your eyes letting go, your forehead smooth, the crown of your head,
feeling cool and spacious, as your mind,
begins to settle, letting your body fully surrender as it sinks into a deeper state of relaxation.
Continue to wash over you like a sacred rhythm of Mother Earth.
Lensing, purifying, nourishing.
From the inside, how you need to do is breathe.
its own time. Done so much. You don't need to do anymore. Just rest as you're drifting deeper
and deeper into a blissful state of peace, of ease, of tranquility. Sleep awaits you, welcome it,
wishing you peace and love in a deep, restful sleep. Namaste.
