Hello and welcome to this guided walking meditation.
As we begin this practice, let's remember that meditation is really about presence.
Being fully aware and in the moment.
So no matter where you are or where you're going,
going, this practice will guide you into reconnecting to the rhythm of your body, of your breath,
and of your awareness.
If you can stop for just a moment and begin with a gentle intention as we breathe in through
the nose and exhale through the mouth.
A moment of stillness and just begin to walk at a comfortable,
natural pace, not rushed, not forced, just your natural pace. Noticing the rhythm of your steps,
noticing the gentle lift and fall of your feet, feeling the contact with the ground beneath you.
And notice how the movement travels up through your legs, the subtle shift of your knees,
the motion of your hips as one moves forward the other back. Your hips, your hips, your hips,
acting as the bridge between your upper and lower body connecting everything in motion
let your awareness sit here for a few moments notice your abdomen is it relaxed or
slightly tense and contracted and notice your posture your shoulders your neck
your gaze you looking ahead or slightly
Lead down or taking in your surroundings.
Notice what you are noticing.
And bring your focus to your breath as you observe how it weaves through your body as you walk.
See if you can let your breath and your steps find a shared rhythm.
Breathing in, moving in and take a moment to witness where your mind is today.
Are you focused inward?
be caught in thought, reflection, or planning? Or is it easier to stay outward and present with
your surroundings and your movement? Whichever one feels true gently offer the other a bit of
compassion. You don't need to change anything. Simply notice and allow both to exist.
widen your awareness and begin to notice your environment the sounds the light the textures the colors notice the air around you its temperature its quality
is there a breeze or maybe stillness or maybe just the sensation of you moving through it and listen for the layers of sound the footsteps
Maybe voices or wind, distant traffic, maybe birds or silence.
Just offer it your awareness and notice where you are.
Perhaps visualize zooming out and seeing the street that you're on.
The city, the country, the continent on this vast planet, you are walking, alive,
breathing
connected to it all
just pause for a moment in that realization
and how incredible it is
to be here
just the simple act of walking
is such a blessing
and how incredible it is that you can move your body
that you can feel sense
walk
breathe
for a quiet thank you to your body
for the strength in your legs, for your balance, for your lungs, for your heart.
And take the next few moments to just fully be present in this experience,
to witness everything that's around you, the shapes, the colors, the people, the energy.
And notice how your awareness expands and how presence deep.
when you choose to see to feel to listen and to observe mind wanders just bring it
back to your body to your steps into the rhythm of this movement may wish to
continue walking after this meditation ends or if you'd like to close your
practice here that's okay too taking one more
Intentional deep breath in through your nose and an exhale perhaps with a sigh
carrying this beautiful presence with you and do everywhere that your day takes you.
Wishing you peace and love. Namaste.
