Starting point is 00:00:00 Right now at four, we have your first alert to the warming trend happening over the next couple of days after a long stretch of cold temperatures. Tastis spring is on the way. We can't wait to talk about that. We're also following some breaking news in Wake County right now. Authorities investigating this townhouse fire that happened a short time ago in southeast Raleigh. This is the scene from Chopper 11 overhead. We'll have a live report on that coming right up. Today state lawmakers hold a hearing addressing public safety after the deadly stabbing of a Ukrainian woman on a Charlotte light rail train. We're hearing from former RPD chief Estella Patterson as she now leads the Charlotte Police. And as heating problems continue on the Shai University campus in Raleigh, those students are now staying in a local hotel. We have some new reaction from those students impacted by the move.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Right now, live coverage from your local news leader, keeping you connected to your community and your first alert forecast. Here's what's happening where you live. This is ABC 11-I Witness News. We begin with breaking news right now for a town home fire in Raleigh. Chopper 11 over the scene. You can see the back of the unit totally charred there. We're told one person inside was able to get out safely when firefighter is being treated for a minor injury. Thank you for joining us for the news at four. I'm Barbara Gibbs. Hi everyone. I'm Steve Daniels. Amber has the day off that fire happening on Paint Rock Lane in Southeast Raleigh. As we zoom in on the map here, you can see it's not far from Rock Whoree Road and not far from the Barwell Road Community Center. James Price live now on the scene sizing this all up talking to people there what do you learning jemise
Starting point is 00:01:35 all right steve so this fire is under control right now i want to give you a live look on the ground of what we are seeing right now you have these fire trucks they are soon to move out we've already seen a number of those fire engines get out of here as well as the firefighters where we're standing right now that is the front of the town home where the brunt of the damage as you guys mentioned off the top there is at the back of the home so i want you guys to take a look A video from Chopper 11. You can see the extensive damage from this fire from top to bottom. Now we know this fire started at this home, 3,500 block of Aldi Court and the Battle Ridge, North Townhomes. Now one person was inside when this fire started, but they managed to get out safely.
Starting point is 00:02:16 But we are learning this afternoon that one firefighter did suffer minor injuries and was taken to wrecks for treatment. Now, the cause of this fire remains under investigation at this hour. but as you can see, there is significant smoke and water damage and there's obvious structural damage to the town home. And we're talking the town home where the fire started as well as the town homes on both sides of that unit. So we're working right now to find out the exact cause of this fire and learn more about the injuries and that that firefighters sustained. Of course, once we know more information, we'll share it with you. For now, we're live in Raleigh. James Price, ABC 11, eyewitness news.
Starting point is 00:02:55 All right, James, thank you. 11 also over another fire. This one in Wake County, but this one happened off Benson Road near Cleveland Road in Garner. And you can see the crews spraying some of the charred grass. At this time, it's not clear what caused the fire or if anyone is injured. We're also following some breaking news from Virginia right now that's now stretching here into North Carolina. A police officer is on the run, wanted for shooting someone while he was off duty. Take a look at the pictures on your screen. Police in Laurenburg County, Virginia. That's about a two-hour drive north of Raleigh. Say this man, Charles Stokes with the Ken Police Department shot a woman during a domestic dispute as she was inside her car yesterday afternoon. Stokes then took off. He eventually left behind his car at a business north of the Triangle in Vance County in the town of Henderson. But according to police, after he left his car, he then stole a 2007 gray Honda Civic, which police believe he's currently in. That car has Virginia plates. The license plate number is TGL 9143. His location is unclear, but police do say he is armed and dangerous. If you know anything, if you see him, call 911 right away. Well, now it for the cold stretch lingers into a new week.
Starting point is 00:04:01 You can see birds here on the frozen water. Look at them perched there at Lake Crabtree in Raleigh. But they may be happy about this. We have your first alert to a warm up on the way. Spring light temperatures expected to return this week. Yeah, we got some 60s to talk about tomorrow. And the next day, Cruz Medina with us right now. Cruz, look, it was 14 degrees in Raleigh.
Starting point is 00:04:20 This morning, we've had a nice warm up today. Oh, absolutely. So today was just the start of it. Hise were in the 40s. but we are expecting the 60s to arrive tomorrow and they'll linger into Wednesday. And so I just did some digging. I wanted to see when was the last time we saw a 60 degree or above day. And it's been almost a month.
Starting point is 00:04:35 So 29 days ago and I'd say we're long overdue for a warm up. So tipgers once again pushing well above average, average high still in the 50s this time of the year. We've got spring like tipgers for Tuesday and into Wednesday. So now's the time to start making outdoor plans for those two days. Now by the time we get into Thursday, it turns chilly again. And tipgers will be falling back into the 50s. That's where they'll stay as we end out this week. But for this evening, I can tell you that spring like warmth, not yet here.
Starting point is 00:05:02 So you're going to want the jacket stepping out to walk the dog. Tipters should be in the 30s by 6 p.m. And continue to stay in those low 30s, even upper 20s by the time the kiddos are heading to the bus stop tomorrow. So here is that bus stop forecast. It'll be partly cloudy in the morning. Tipters in the 20s. Once again, that's an improvement from this morning where we were at 14 in RDU. And then by the afternoon coming home, 63 degrees.
Starting point is 00:05:25 They might even get to get rid of those stick jackets themselves and of course keep them off for a few days. Now if you're not going to hit the mid-60s in areas like Raleigh and the sand hills where it's going to be a bit warmer up north, even low 60s for you. We'll talk about the return of rain chances to the forecast coming up in just minutes. Barbara, back to you. All right, quite an improvement, Cruz. Thank you so much. And now it's a great time to download the ABC 11 mobile app where you can get the latest watches and warnings. You can also check the first alert Doppler net and the 70 forecast anytime.
Starting point is 00:05:55 All right, we want to take you to downtown Raleigh right now at the state legislature where a hearing is underway today focused on crime in Charlotte. The House Committee on Oversight and Reform hearing testimony from seven different city and county leaders as they talk in Ralee about public safety spending and tactics as well. Now this hearing comes after stabbings on Charlotte's light rail, including the murder of Ukrainian refugee Irene Zerutska. Duane Hogarth joins us live from Jones Street as the hearing just wrapped up. Duwant good afternoon. What happened today? Good afternoon to you, Barbara. Now, that grilling and that testimony that follow has since wrapped up. They are done for the day here at the state legislative building in downtown Raleigh
Starting point is 00:06:33 as House lawmakers spent their day trying to get to the bottom of crime and law enforcement in the Queen City. Completely unacceptable. Representative Brendan Jones starting off a contentious day at the state legislative building here in Raleigh. Not going to beat around the bush. This hearing is not going to be butterflies and roses. This body is going to get to the bottom of the. this crisis today. House lawmakers within the oversight and reform committee, grilling Mecklenburg County Sheriff Gary McFadden over his handling of immigration enforcement in the Queen City.
Starting point is 00:07:02 But by a system that allowed career criminals to roam your streets who had 14 arrests, a system that allowed its officials to go on reality TV shows rather than patrolling the streets. McFadden, meanwhile, doubling down on his record and what he says is his commitment to the community. So I cannot stand here and want you chastise me from doing this. same thing that every other sheriff is doing across the mayor. However, that tone and tenor shifting later in the day during testimony involving Charlotte's city attorney, Mayor Vailleis and former RPD chief and now current Charlotte Mecklenburg chief, Estella Patterson, praised in their approach for addressing crime.
Starting point is 00:07:39 I'm happy that this oversight committee hurt our concerns, was concerned with it, and wants to help us to resolve our issues that we're having in our city. Right ahead and all new for you at five, you're going to hear from Sheriff McFadden a little bit more, as well as his response to House Bill 10 and essentially the shift in tone and tenor between the morning testimony and the afternoon. That's all new and ahead for you at 5. We're alive at the state legislative building in Raleigh. Duan Hogarth, Edis Levin, I witness news. Yeah, that is striking the difference, Duane.
Starting point is 00:08:10 And perhaps it's because Chief Patterson is well known among members of the legislature in Raleigh, where obviously she was chief of police here for many years in Raleigh. We'll look forward to your next report at 5 o'clock. New at 4. some Shaw University students now being relocated to a hotel in Wake County after a space heater led to a fire at a dorm last week. Akela Davis has been following the story for us. Akela good afternoon. How are the students reacting now to this move? Hi Barbara, good afternoon. You know we've been asking Shaw University what's the plan
Starting point is 00:08:39 for students who were displaced by this fire? We haven't heard much of anything but I can tell you I talked to students today who tell me they've been staying in a hotel for days. You've been staying at which hotel and for how many days? Best Western. I've been there for like two days. And the university is covering the cost of it? Yes, real. How are y'all supposed to be getting back and forth to school? They have a shuttle bus that comes at scheduled times.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Freshman student Jabray Davis is among many students here at Shaw University who were displaced after last week's fire on the third floor of Dimpon Newsome Living and Learning Center. He says he and other Shaw University students are staying here at this best Western. in Garner, which is an eight-minute drive and a three and a half mile walk from campus. Their stay includes a buffet breakfast, and according to him, no other meals. It could have just been organized, maybe. It's a real not organizing. People still don't know what's going on. Like, there are people that are still really confused. And right now, I want to give you a live look just because it's happening right now behind us of the cleanup crews outside of Dempil Newsome on the campus of Shaw University.
Starting point is 00:09:45 You can see they are discarding what looks like mattresses and other items that were removed from the third. floor where that fire happened. Ahead at five parents of Shaw University students tell me they are now looking into other options for their students, other academic options, I should say. What they're telling me, I'll see you then. Reporting live in Raleigh, Akela Davis, ABC 11, eyewitness news. All right, Akela, thank you. Let's take a look at some other local headlines right now in your 4 o'clock speed feed.
Starting point is 00:10:12 First, the former president of the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce pleading guilty to one of the criminal charges against her. Last summer, you might remember, authorities said Elizabeth Simper spent 16 $29,000 of chamber money on personal items like plumbing repairs, a party bus rental, shopping, and orthopedic services. She was charged with four felony counts. According to court records today, Simper's pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement and the other three charges against her were dismissed. Happening tomorrow at the Wake County Justice Center in downtown Raleigh, the sentencing hearing for Austin Thompson continues. As you know, he is charged in the 2022 Heddingham mass shooting in his neighborhood in Raleigh. He pleaded guilty to those five counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder,
Starting point is 00:10:53 and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury. This week, his defense lawyers are planning to call Austin Thompson's mother back to the witness stand, and the light of questioning is expected to take several hours. There are also plans to honor the life of a Raleigh school teacher who was murdered last month. That's Zoe Welsh. She was killed, you'll remember, by an intruder at her home in Raleigh. Ryan Camacho, a repeat offender is charged with burglary and murder. Zoe Welsh was a biology teacher at the Ravenscroft School.
Starting point is 00:11:22 The school is hosting a celebration of life for the beloved teacher. It has now been rescheduled to Sunday, March 29th at 3 o'clock at Ravenscroft. And happening today, the Wake County School District holding a community meeting on the future of Liggin Middle School. The district is considering three options. They can either renovate the school or tear it down and build a new one. The door was opened there at that all-black high school back in the 1950s. And tonight's meeting at Liggin. begins at six o'clock. And that is the speed feed here at four o'clock. Barbara,
Starting point is 00:11:52 overdo you. All right. See, thank you. Breaking right now on day nine of the search for the mother of today's show host Savannah Guthrie, a deadline is approaching for a ransom payment made by someone who claims to be the kidnapper. Investigators say there are still no suspects or leads in the desperate search to find 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie. And just moments ago, Savannah Guthrie released a new video on Instagram. We believe our mom is still out there. We need your law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock trying to bring her home trying to find her the family also says that they will pay following that unverified ransom demand ABC's Melissa Adon has more the search for missing 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie now in its ninth day the Guthrie
Starting point is 00:12:46 family faced with a deadline of 5 p.m. Mountain time to pay an unverified ransom alleging to be from Nancy's kidnapper. We received your message and we understand and we will pay. Local and federal investigators in Arizona combing all corners of Nancy Guthrie's property, examining rooftop cameras, towing a car, and inquiring of neighbors. Over the weekend, investigators examining what appears to be the septic tank on Nancy's property north of Tucson. Probably corroboration to what was ever in the email message that started this whole. thing. Did they mention specific items that have been moved, their location, where there is
Starting point is 00:13:28 blood, things that then would corroborate that at least you feel comfortable that the bad guys were actually in this house. Detectives also returning to the home of Savannah's sister Annie. The last place Nancy was seen alive on January 31st. The Pima County Sheriff's Department says this remains an active and ongoing investigation. But after more than a week, investigators have not identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to this case. As we go past today, the investigators, the FBI and the county police and others will continue to work this case as hard as they can. At some point, they'll be out of leads. And it's a tragic thing to go tell a family. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to
Starting point is 00:14:21 Nancy Guthrie's whereabouts. Melissa Adon, ABC News, Los Angeles. And we will have new developments in the search for Nancy Guthrie coming up on World News tonight with David Muir at 630 right after Eyewitness News at 6. I know that that latest video came out not too long ago. The one from the family came out yesterday and so many analysts trying to figure out what's happening. Yeah, absolutely. So many twists in terms and the heartbreak for that family is they wait for. I can't even imagine. Next here on Eyewitness News at 4 as early voting gets underway here in North Carolina this week, it may be harder for some college kids to vote on campus. Eyewitness News. We are Local News Weeknights 4 to 630 and 11. In your voice, your vote. As we look ahead to the upcoming primary elections, legal challenges continue in the push for on-campus voting. That's right. Yesterday, a federal judge ruled against a group of college students at NC-A-N-T who want the State Board of Elections to allow early voting on college campuses. It comes after the board voted to remove voting locations on three college campuses. The judge ruled it would be potentially impossible for the court to enforce universities to open early voting locations on such short notice because in-person voting begins this week. And just three days away, here's a look at the polling sites across the area.
Starting point is 00:16:19 We know Wake County will have 12 polling sites available listed here, right there on your screen. The sites are open from 8 a.m. until 7.30 p.m. on weekdays, 8 to 3 on Saturdays and 1 to 6 on Sundays. In the meantime, eight early voting sites will be available in Durham. Starting point is 00:16:50 abcc11.com the north Carolina dmv is scaling back on its service hours submit other changes to their appointments Cindy bay has more on what this means for customers as they navigate the high demand for the DMV the ncdmv is scaling back on its service hours due to the exhaustion of federal funding which could mean potential frustration for customers who are hoping to get their service early but as you can see here there are no long lines the change comes as making appointments have shortened from three months to just a week in advance. Customers can also take a new appointment slot that's released each weekday. This is all in hopes of offering more flexibility to better manage demand, as more than 85% of
Starting point is 00:17:31 DMV customers are walking customers. I was waiting for this appointment for like six months. Eyewitness news spoke with some customers who say there are still challenges to making an appointment, but with some of these changes, they're hoping for a silver lining. I think we need to improve the number of appointments that they handle. I think the staff is like they're cramped with a lot of appointments and they have to take care of the walk-ins as well. But I can't come because of my daily schedule, walk-ins, it's not a thing for me. So I have to do an online appointment.
Starting point is 00:18:03 DMV officials say wait times are getting shorter. And if you can't find an appointment, officials say walk-in appointments are always a good option in Raleigh. C-11 eyewitness news. Cindy, thank you. New it for a cause of death just revealed for actress Catherine O'Hara. According to officials, O'Hara's immediate cause of death is listed as pulmonary embolism with rectal cancer as the underlying cause. O'Hara passed away last month at the age of 71.
Starting point is 00:18:31 All right, Cruz is with us right now to talk about this good looking warm-up on the way. It feels like we've been locked in winter for a very long time, and we're going to be coming out of it tomorrow. He said he's going to dust off his shorts. I feel like it's a right of passage. Like you almost just have to do it, right? That's right. All right. Well, we got to make the most of it because it's not going to last too long.
Starting point is 00:18:49 We'll be back to cooler temperatures by the time that we're ending out the week. But we'll focus on the near term first. So for those 60 degree days, which is tomorrow and Wednesday, go ahead and make some outdoor plans. Whatever you haven't been able to do the past few weeks with it being so cold, plan to do that tomorrow and Wednesday. By Thursday, the 50s settle back in. Those are going to be with us as we go into this weekend. And this weekend could be a bit wet at times. I'll break down the wettest period for you here in just a moment.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Let's start with looking ahead. So into tomorrow, high pressure slides to our south. Tipures will be in the mid-60s with a decent amount of sun throughout the day. This front swings in on Wednesday. That could bring us a shower mainly for the first half of the day. Just a stray shower, best chance toward 9-95, and then that dives on to our south. As we go into Thursday, we're expecting more at least a parcel of sunshine there, but tipgers will be in the low 50s by the time we get into that time period. So back to this evening, obviously still cold.
Starting point is 00:19:43 It's been a chilly day, a bit of an improvement from this weekend. We were stuck in those 30s, but 40s expected at least through the next hour and then dropping into the 30s for your evening drive. First alert predictor will take us through tonight. And so you'll see we'll have a few clouds around through this evening. By tomorrow morning, you're waking up to mostly sunny skies. So tipters will be in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees. And then by the afternoon with winds out of the southwest, that's what pushes us into those low to mid-60s. And some of the warmest spots will be in the sand hills.
Starting point is 00:20:11 Some of those areas could actually be a little closer to 70 degrees. Now here is Wednesday. You see that front coming through. There's that shower chance. Once again, it favors areas toward 9.95 in the sand hills. But it's just a brief chance that we see some rain throughout the morning hours. Back to tomorrow. 30s in the morning.
Starting point is 00:20:28 60s in the afternoon. So if you want to get lunch outside tomorrow, I'd say that's fair game. Walk your dog. Go outside, do a picnic. Whatever you want to do. It's going to feel great. Wednesday also another fair. fair game day aside from that shower chance in the morning and then we drop into the 50s as we go into the back half of the week.
Starting point is 00:20:46 So lots of changes in the forecast just in the near term. Soak up the sunshine, soak up the warmth because it's going to go away pretty quickly. Here's a live look into North Hills. We've got a beautiful sunset and progress already. You see some of those fair weather clouds moving over us right now. It's 45 degrees in Raleigh, 41 for Roxborough and Lewisburg and 46 down in Fayetteville. Just to recap, tonight we go down into the 20 so it won't be as cold as. last night but still cold any way you look at it. And for tomorrow, a mostly sunny sky,
Starting point is 00:21:14 high temperatures range from the low 60s across the northern tier to middle and even upper 60s for the triangle down into the sandhills. Your first alert seven-day forecast. This shows the rain chances I was telling you about and this is going to come later in the week. So Friday, we could see a passing shower there. By the time we get into this weekend, that's where we're expecting most of the rains. So this will mainly be Saturday night into Sunday, at least is what the timing's looking like right now. And then by the time we get into early next week, we should be drying out. But this is what one of our models is showing us. The European model is showing lots of rain throughout Sunday. And we're rooting for that scenario because we're still in a drought. We need a good
Starting point is 00:21:51 soaking rain here in Central North Carolina. Back to you. All right. Thank you, Cruz. Team USA takes home its first gold medals in Milan, but it also suffers heartbreak as Lindsay Vaughn is injured in a crash during downhill skiing. The latest on the Winter Olympics. That's next. Just hit its highest level in more than two years. The report also found growing pessimism about the year ahead with more Americans expecting their financial situations to deteriorate. That's as you can use. Steve, back to you. Okay, Barbara, thanks.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Let's go to the Winter Olympics underway in northern Italy right now. on Team USA gliding to the gold and the figure skating team event, which really came down to the wire. Team USA beat Japan by one point, taking home the gold. Ilya Malinen becoming the first American to secure a gold medal, and he's the only skater to have ever landed a quadruple axle. They're calling him the quad god there in international competition. But it was heartbreak on the slopes for Lindsay Vaughn, who went to the games with that ruptured ACL, and then she broke her leg just 13 seconds into her downhill. She was airlifted to the hospital for surgery.
Starting point is 00:24:14 But her teammate Breezy Johnson picked up the pieces, becoming the second American woman to win the gold medal in downhill scheme. The 30-year-old finished in one minute, 36.10 seconds, taking home the first gold medal for Team USA at the Milan Cortina Games. Coming up, a Robinson County teenager is on the run after a deadly shooting. We're working to find out more on the investigation. Starting point is 00:25:26 Local news, ABC 11 eyewitness news continues now. Tonight, the Fable City Council will decide the next steps for fire station four after a recent inspection revealed major structural issues. Penelope Lopez has been covering this issue and she shows us what we might expect at City Hall this evening. A recent inspection by a consultant hired by the city found major structural problems, mold and walls that are not safe. The future of Fire Station 4 is now up to the city council. Approved in 2022 with a $9.4 million budget, the station along Bragg Boulevard was planned as a high-tech station to help reduce long-term cancer risks. By the time construction stopped in late 2024, costs had already reached $4.3 million. A construction consultant hired by the city advised demolishing the building, citing concerns over long-term safety.
Starting point is 00:26:20 The city sued Wilmington-based contract. WB Brawley in 2024, alleging the company failed to complete the project on time or meet building standards. Brawley stands behind their work telling eyewitness news, we believe most of the findings in the ABS report are incorrect. And at tonight 6.30 p.m. meeting, the city will review the report and plan the next steps. Reporting in Fayetteville, Penelope Lopez, ABC 11, eyewitness news. Penelope, thanks. Let's take a look at some other local headlines right now in your speed feed this half hour. First, authorities in Robeson County are looking for a 15-year-old who's wanted in connection with a deadly shooting. This happened on Saturday evening on truck lane outside the rendered community.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Investigators say 17-year-old Alexis Gonzalez of Red Springs was found dead on the scene. And then yesterday, the Robinson County Sheriff's Office identified this 15-year-old as the suspected shooter. Authorities are still working to find that 15-year-old. That 15-year-old's name has not been released. We have a traffic alert for drivers in Southern Way County beginning today, the DOT, closing part of NC50, also known as Benson Road, for three months. Cruiser installing underground utilities between Umsted Lane and Lake Drive as part of an ongoing bridge construction project there. The closure was delayed because of last week's winter storm. Right now at four, giving back to people in need here in the triangle.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Today there was a free food giveaway in Durham. Volunteers gave away fresh produce and non-perishable things in an effort to support families in need. The reality is we're all in this together. Some of the people who give food actually come and volunteer. and help hand out food before they get their food. So it's very much an organic, very much a community, very much a let's come together and make this world a better place. The event was held at the Elizabeth Street, United Methodist Church,
Starting point is 00:28:03 off North Elizabeth Street. And that's the speed feed this half hour. Barbara, over to you. All right, Steve, thank you. In your health check, experts highlight a drop in cancer deaths among young adults. The American Cancer Society recently released a study that shows overall cancer mortality in people younger than 50

The overall reduction of mortality for all people is about 34%. So 44% is higher than we might have expected. We're certainly all concerned about people under the age of 50 getting cancer,
Starting point is 00:28:40 but seeing mortality go down is certainly some good news. We attributed this to a couple things. One is cancer prevention interventions, So young people are now a lot less likely to use alcohol, for example, a lot less likely to smoke as well and are living some lifestyle factors that are positive as well. We also have a lot more treatment, so that's really good. A lot more options for people, particularly younger, to try different clinical trials and other things as well. Now this comes as February marks National Cancer Prevention Month. Dr. Kamal says the Cancer Society has a new online tool called Cancer Risk 360 that allows people to put their own risk factors and the site will offer recommendations for law. lifestyle and diet changes that could lower your risk of cancer. At least 900 people have been infected since the outbreak began in October. kids make up the vast majority of cases, according to the data in South Carolina, more than 80% did not get the MMR vaccine. Take the vaccine, please. We have a solution for a problem. Not all illnesses are equally dangerous and not all people equally susceptible to those illnesses, but measles is one. You should get your vaccine. And here in North Carolina, there have been 17 cases reported.

Starting point is 00:32:04 The DOJ's latest 3 million page trove of Epstein files is now available for lawmakers to view firsthand unredacted. I went over there and I was able to determine, at least I believed, that there were. tons of completely unnecessary redactions in addition to the failure to redact the names of victims. And so that's troubling to us. In the latest batch of files, new questions are emerging about Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik, who was referenced several times years after Lutnik said he distanced himself from Epstein. ABC's J. Yeah. I think I would encourage everyone to just get outside tomorrow, even if it's for a five-minute walk, right? You're saying we should call in sick, tell the boss that works not possible tomorrow? I'll write the note. Oh, right in the notes. All right. So 60s on the way, and we know that it's not going to last for too long. So you got to make the most of it while we have it. So looking back at the past two weeks, it's been all.

So 50s then and even into early next week, we're still in the 50s, but we should be drying out as we go into the next week. And out of this, we get some beneficial rainfall this weekend.
