Dozens of people making their voices heard at the Wake County Commissioner's meeting ahead of a vote on the controversial merger between WakeMed and Atrium Health. And new developments today in the Faith Hedgepeth murder hearing as the case is set to go to trial next week. And right now, four, we have a live look into downtown Raleigh and Durham here. We have clear skies for now, but the rain is starting to move in. Rain chances also increasing for tomorrow. So let's begin with meteorologist Steve Stewart with a look at the evening ahead. Hey Steve. Hey, guys, you're right. I think tomorrow's going to be much better coverage of those showers. The thunderstorm's going to be rather hit and miss as we go through the evening hours, mainly off to our north and west watching a cluster of little thunderstorms now coming out of the mountains. So the question is, does that make it all the way here a little bit later on?

We're not necessarily guaranteeing that's going to happen, but we do expect to see at least that possibility moving in. And some of those are severe too. So we'll be watching and see how those hold together. Spotty little storms are starting to pop up. It is hot. It is humid out there. So there is that level one risk of severe weather, mainly triangle in north and west. And damaging winds are going to be the main thing. threat here. The models are not too excited about this at all and they're really showing the activity staying up in Virginia,

but take that with a grain of salt. Just know there could be some storms around. It is hot. 94 right now feels like 96. Two points coming down a little bit. Widespread feels like temperatures in those mid to upper 90s. Taking the pop out this evening, you might get caught in a shower or thunderstorm. Numbers coming down to the 70s as we get later into the evening. Can you believe later this week, you might need some jackets on those morning walks. up in just a few minutes. All right. Breaking news right now at four travel chaos as the FAA grounds flights at multiple airports in the northeast. More than 700 flights have been canceled nationwide and 4,000 delays. It's very disruptive. So far there have been

92 delays and 13 cancellations at RDU. The FAA saying the issue stems from a Pennsylvania traffic control facility that provides the radar for those airports. The FAA says a circuit blew with the facility and then they discovered a major problem with the backup system as the backup fiber line was accidentally cut at a construction site. And right now it is still unclear when that fiber line was cut, but we are being told that it's going to take many hours to repair. Duane Hoggard joins us live from the airport. Duane, good afternoon to you.

What are you hearing from travelers? Yeah, good afternoon to you, Barbara. the ripple effects of that fiber optic, that fiber cable being cut. You can kind of see it's already extending to the arrivals board as well as the departures board here at RAU Airport. A number of cities in the northeast, we're talking Boston, we're talking Philadelphia, Newark, New Jersey, New York as well. We're seeing that there's a delay even all the way far south as Washington National Airport, primarily on American and Delta Airlines. They're seeing the most impact to the delay. This board, normally you would see a lot of green to indicate in air or landed.

Now we're seeing a lot of orange, which is to explain the delays and the cancellations that we are seeing here at R2U Airport. A number of folks, they have told me already that they showed up to the airport thinking that they had plans to go to Newark Airport or Liguarnia or JFK or even Boston, even folks who have connecting flights there, let alone even just their final destination. They're finding that it is very difficult to get out of the airport. And right now for a lot of folks, it's even a waiting game. I spoke with the woman. She says that she had a flight plan for the 4 o'clock hour. That's been pushed back.

And she was hoping to make a meeting tomorrow morning in New York. She says now that's not going to happen. I want to go ahead and share some of her answers with you based on our conversation. Just today, I'm flying to New York for work, New Jersey for work. And I just got a notification four times that it's been delayed. almost one hour. I supposed to fly out 450 and now it's showing 10, 1050, so it's almost like four hours for me. That's why I'm debating. Should I need to go back home or just stay here and then hang out. I was supposed to do my work but I guess

there's no prep work for tomorrow's meeting. It's just here hanging out. Yeah, Maria is standing just a few feet away from us right now on her laptop doing some work just waiting to find out when that delay will actually turn into a time for when you She can leave the airport here and get to that all important work meeting for New York tomorrow morning. But she's just one of many traveler stories impacted by those delays that we're seeing all across the New York, the Northeast area from LaGuardia to JFK to Boston to Philly. So as the FAA continues to address this issue here, we'll go ahead and monitor the latest updates live from RDIU Airport. Duan Hogarth, Ferris 11, Iowanus News.

Happening now, Wake County Commissioners hearing public comment ahead of a vote on that controversial proposal to merge WakeMed with Atrium Health. That deal would shift significant operational and financial control from WakeMed to Atrium, which is one of the nation's largest health care systems. Elena Athens has been inside the meeting. She joins us now live with what's going on.

Hey, Elena. Good afternoon to you, Barbara. Yeah, this meeting is packed. comment portion of it just wrapped up and that lasted nearly two hours. So we are expecting members after this to discuss and debate the potential of this merger taking place. There are dozens of people here in opposition to the Atrium WakeMed merger. And many of them are wearing T-shirts with WakeMed on it. We did hear from one physician earlier saying that he worries what the costs his patients could incur if this goes through. Wake County Commissioners are expected to vote this afternoon on the Wake Med Atrium merger.

The terms have recently changed. Atrium has agreed to cap price increases at WakeMed for the next five years, not to exceed more than 1.5 times the annual increase in Medicare costs. Atrium has also agreed to create a $150 million fund to benefit the community. There was a protest this afternoon ahead of the meeting. Wakement isn't just a building. Miao Lin is a current WakeMed patient. The Kerry resident recently dislocated her elbow and she's been undergoing physical therapy.

She's worried about the cost and quality of care under atrium. You make an empty promise and then when you can carry out, it's okay. You know, I already got you. So we also heard from an association that state employees, their health care premiums could go up by $10 to $15 a month if this goes through. So we're going to head back inside the meeting. We'll have another update here on eyewitness news starting at 5 o'clock. For now we're live inside the Wake County Justice Center where this meeting is taking place.

Elena Athens, ABC 11, eyewitness news. All right, Elena. Thank you. We'll check with you in a little while. Right now at 4, looking ahead to the murder trial after UNC student faith Hedgepeth was found murdered in her Chapel Hill apartment back in 2012. The case is headed to trial, and today a judge heard final motions before a jury is selected. Akela Davis is on this. She's joining us live at the Durham County Courthouse with the new developments from today's hearing. Akela? Yeah, the judge siding with the state today after the defense tried presenting evidence that someone else may have killed Faith Hedgepeth and not the defendant.

The defense spent hours pointing to what it called inconsistencies in the statement of Krasina, Corina, Rosario, who was Faith's roommate at the time. Now, when investigators asked Rosario about a red smudge on her fingers in September 2012, she said she didn't know what it was. She told them she had been vomiting something red. But former UNC Chapel Hill soccer player Jordan McCrary gave investigators a different account. McCrary said when he picked Rosario up from her apartment that night, Faith was killed, he saw a smudder. of blood on her finger. He said Rosario admitted it was blood and said she didn't know where it came from. The defense also raised questions about the shirt Rosario wore that night, which was later found at the crime scene. The defense presented those circumstances all in an attempt to point to

Rosario instead of the defendant. The only evidence about what we know about Ms. Hedgeback was alive when she went into that bedroom with Ms. Rosario and that when Ms. Rosario left, Pat is in the bathroom, never hear from Ms. Hedgepeth again. The state and one in this courtroom here today is here with a case of the state of North Carolina versus Miguel Severeo Calderas. Not the state versus Juan Rosario, not the state anybody else but this defendant. And the purpose of this hearing is to determine what relevant evidence comes in as to this defendant's guilt. And I do agree with the state, therefore the state does prevail. And it's important to note that the family members, loved ones of Faith Hesbath, they were inside today listening intently during the entire hearing.

Reporting live in Durham, Akela Davis, ABC 11, eyewitness news. Yeah, this is one we'll be following for many weeks. Akula, thank you. Now to your voice, your vote and the countdown to the midterm elections as Republicans continue their blitz in North Carolina. Vice President J.D. Vance traveling to Greensboro today to stump for U.S. Senate candidate Michael Watley. Now this comes after President Trump's visit last week, also rallying for Watley in the high-stakes Senate race. Sean Coffey is in Greensboro with more. In his remarks, the Vice President called Watley the candidate for common sense in this race

and said that the stakes were too high for Republican voters not to show up at the polls this November. His visit comes just days after President Trump stumped for Watley in Watley's hometown of Gastonia. Vance delivered remarks after similar speeches from U.S. Senator Ted Bud as well as representatives Virginia Fox, Addison McDowell, and Richard Hudson. They all called Roy Cooper, who polling shows is currently ahead in this Senate race, a radical liberal who would hurt North Carolina with soft-on-crime policies. Specifically, Vance said Wattley would fight for election integrity in North Carolina values and said he would protect the work the Trump administration has been doing.

So I ask a pretty simple question, ladies and gentlemen, do you want a person in Washington representing you who bends the knee to the far left? Absolutely not. And because we need somebody who will fight back against the fart left, we need Michael Watley in the United States Senate. In the meantime, we're getting a response from North Carolina's Democratic Party to today's rally, a spokesperson saying, quote, while Michael Watley is busy cozying up to his fellow DC insiders, North Carolinians are paying outrageous prices for gas, thanks to Watley's war in Iran.

Watley is looking out for his bottom line at the expense of North Carolinians, and that's exactly how he would abuse a seat in the Senate. Now let's get you caught up with some local headlines in your speed feed this Monday. We are working to learn more about a fire investigation in Raleigh. This was the scene at a home on Canterbury Road. More than 40 firefighters on the scene.

We're told there was damage to the home's sunroom. Two adults were home at the time. Fortunately, no one was injured in this and the cause of that fire is still under investigation. And Kerry, another high-stakes town council meeting is planned for today. Leaders sitting down to discuss that scathing audit report, exposing how the town was spending your money. The state auditor blasted the town for a culture of extravagance, spending, and lack of oversight. This all stems from a major investigation into the former town manager, Sean Siegel, who was using taxpayer money for high-end expenses. And the owners of two popular Glenwood South bars, Teets and Lucky Bees are looking to rezone their properties.

If approved, the project could turn the small, cozy spaces into a massive 40-story tower. Former Keynes player Bates Vitaglia and his brother run the bars. A neighborhood meeting on that proposal happens tonight. It's at 5.30 at the Halifax Community Center. And that is your speed feed this Monday. Barbara, over to you. All right, Amber, thank you. New questions tonight after a Texas delivery driver is shot by a federal immigration officer

during an ICE operation in Austin. Federal officials say the man was subject to a deportation order. His attorney speaking out this afternoon, as local leaders in Austin are demanding answers. ABC's Melissa Adon has the latest. Protesters flooding the streets in Austin after 28-year-old Wilbur Rafael Garces Perez was shot by a federal immigration officer during an ICE operation Sunday. A law enforcement source tells ABC News, ICE officials were using license plate checks when they identified a vehicle registered to Garces Perez who had an order to be deported. Law enforcement sources say officers had a brief exchange with him, and they say it's believed he attempted to flee and then was shot a short time after. Officials say Garza Perez was shot in the torso and taken to a hospital.

His attorney saying his account differs from that of law enforcement officials. And he said he was driving for DoorDash and an unmarked black truck sideswiped him. He didn't know it was ice. And he did a U-turn under the highway. and the truck chased him and sideswiped him again. And the agents came out and shot him in the back of the neck and pulled him out of the car. His attorney says he was released just hours later into ICE custody and is being held at a detention facility southwest of San Antonio. And they didn't take the bullet out and they didn't give him pain medication and they transferred him to ICE to a processing center where he spent the night without a bed.

Homeland security officials say Garces Perez is a Venezuelan national who was in the country illegally and subject to a deportation order. Some Texas leaders now calling for an independent investigation. ABC News has reached out to ICE for further comment and are awaiting a response. Garces Perez was listed in serious but stable condition after the shooting. Homeland security adding he is under federal custody awaiting deportation. Melissa Adon, ABC News, Los Angeles. Now to the First Amendment battle brewing after President Trump's decision to ban three major news outlets from the White House.

CNN, MS now and Politico now being turned away at the White House. Reports say their badges have all been confiscated and it comes after President Trump lashed out at the press during a recent news conference. It's sick. I mean, there's something wrong with a country that can't. allow people to write purposely negative stories. Now, if they want to write them, that's fine, but I don't have to let them into my, into the people's house. The White House cannot exclude reporters simply because they don't like their reporting. That has been the law for Democratic presidents. It has been the law for Republican presidents. The White House Correspondents Association says the ban is a violation of the First Amendment saying, quote, the American people

through a free and independent press must be able to scrutinize those elected to power regardless of whether government officials view it favorably, end of quote. CNN, MSNBC, and Politico say they will be taking legal action against the administration. Turning now to first alert weather and torrential rain after a typhoon in Japan. The typhoon triggered landslides near Tokyo, flooded roads and damaged structures all across the area. Local broadcasters reported at least one person missing. The storm also forced Japanese Prime Minister to deliver. her to barter for New York where she was scheduled to attend the UN General Assembly. All right around here enjoy summer today because fall comes in, I mean literally officially

and figure it. Yay! Finally. Finally, yeah. This is really quite a stretch. I mean, you're going to need a jacket in the mornings for a few days. Wow. Yeah.

Widespread areas are going to fall down to the 40s in the outlying areas from morning lows. I know it would be a little shock to the system after what we're feeling right now with temperatures in the mid-90s out there. hot. All right. So a stormy evening, mainly north and west. There'll be some storms. You might get caught in a shower with thunderstorm this afternoon into the evening hours. Keep an umbrella handy just in case. Next three days, it'll be a bit unsettled. Most of the time cloudy, but there's going to be some downpours, especially tomorrow with the front. We'll talk about that. And then grab that jacket. We have some chilly mornings ahead. Look at some of these lows. Thursday 59. Then we fall down to the lower 50s for a few days. Outlying areas will likely be in the 40s with some chilly air coming our way. Better coverage of rain tomorrow. Still unsettled on Wednesday. Thursday, a chance at showers. Some of the models pulling back, but still cloudy nonetheless. And then Friday likely going to be a dry day. Isolated little pop-ups are happening right now. If the heat and humidity will get some lightning going and some heavier downpours, these aren't severe. The ones up here are, and this is what I'm going to watch to see if that holds together to bring us some thunderstorms as we go through the evening. But all the high-resolution models are kind of not too excited about it. keeping everything north and west. Let's take this with a grain of salt. I still think some of those storms could get closer to us and make it into the viewing area.

94 right now. That's three degrees hotter than yesterday. Again, the average highs in the low 80s. It's very hot out there. Widespread temperatures in the low to mid-90s across the board. So it'll be a warm, sticky evening. Can we allow to shower, thunderstorm around the triangle. Better chance north and west will fall down to the 70s and rather a little muggy as we go through the evening.

Wet tomorrow, still unsettled. with showers around on Wednesday, but a lot cooler. 69 degrees. This low is going to start wrapping up as well off the coast, and that's going to enhance that northerly flow. So a breezy 68 with a few spotty showers left over on Thursday. Then as we go into Friday, we're looking fantastic. Fayette tropical storm is going to weaken and fall apart and stay into open waters, so no real concerns there. So for us tonight, we'll be in the upper 60s to near 70, isolated evening storms, mainly north and otherwise partly to mostly cloudy and then tomorrow features more of a cloudy day and it

washed for those showers of thunderstorms mainly later in the day into the evening upper 70s in our northern counties low 80s in the triangle and mid 80s down in the sand deals closer to normal for this time of the year so breezy showers in the first alert 70 on wednesday 69 I've got 68 on Thursday still unsettled still some showers could be around Friday we clear out fine finish to the work week a gorgeous autumn weekend. Make some plans if he can. 70s for highs, 50s for lows, a little cool in the morning hours, and then Monday still pretty nice at about 79 degrees. Looking fantastic. Wow. Sounds amazing. Babies born in North Carolina will now be screened for two additional disorders by the state health department's newborn screening program. Newborns will now be screened for infantile crab disease and GAMT deficiency. It comes as NCDHHS celebrates the 60th anniversary of the state's newborn screening program

the September during National Newborn Screening Awareness Month. Today is World Alzheimer's Day and time to raise awareness about the disease that impacts more than 55 million people around the globe. By 2060, the number of older Americans with Alzheimer's is projected to double to nearly 14 million people. The CDC says, however, small changes can make a big difference in lowering your risk. Experts say one of the best ways to do that is by preventing or correcting hearing loss. The CDC says there are other known modifiable factors that increase risk of developing Alzheimer's and other dementia. including lack of physical activity. New at 4, Jay Cole's Dreamville Ventures team made a special stop in the Sandhills to lead an art class with students during the final U.S. stretch of the falloff tour. Yeah, the team put the spotlight on the. the power of art as a tool for healing and self-expression. Penelope Lopez shows us how students are turning their traumas into artwork. Jay Cole's creative influence is felt all across Fayetteville, but his impact goes beyond music. 30 students from 10 schools took part in the three-day art session, all channeling their pain into original art.

These kids are very talented. They're resilient. They may have made some bad choices. Kids mess up, but you can't count them out because they can go on to do great things. Cumberland County Judge Tony King says it all starts with believing in students and giving them the tools to express themselves. We talked about the trauma that some of these kids face and a lot of the experiences that they go through. And so we thought we wanted to do it from a mental health aspect of it. So they're able to draw out their feelings, their emotions today.

That's why she partnered with community organizations and Jay Cole's Dreamville Ventures team, bringing mental health support and creative opportunities to students who need. it most. You see how it has that blue space around it? That's what we call a bleed. On Monday morning, students had the chance to sketch designs inspired by their own experiences, then use programs like Adobe Premiere to bring their visions to life. I hope they understand that these tools are actually important and they can create the

things that they want, but it all starts up here in the head. That's the thing. A lot of times they just think, oh, I want to just get cap cut or I want to just use Adobe Express in this way. But really, I want them to formulate ideas for themselves. And students will get to see their finished work and get a printed copy coming up at 530. New at 4. One local company announces job cuts expected to impact dozens of employees. Comfort first heating and cooling sent a warning letter to employees about the mass layoffs at the Sanford location. the total of 67 workers will be laid off effective. November 16th, the company did not give a reason for the job cuts. Now to some other headlines in your speed fee. First, we are working to learn more about a fire that has forced a local business to close. The owners of Tanya's cafe and bake shop making a post on social media saying the business is, quote, closed for the foreseeable future. The post says Tanya and the staff are all safe, but the fire did cause damage in the main kitchen area. It's still unclear what caused that fire. And now to a traffic alert for driver.

in Wake Forest. Happening tonight, several lanes on Rogers Road will be closed near Capitol Creek Drive. Cruise will be installing a new gas line ahead of construction of the Rogers Road Great Separation Project starting this winter, and lanes will be closed daily from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Overnight. The closure is expected to be complete by Friday. Happening this week, the City of Raleigh is helping homeowners get prepared for the fall season. The City's solid waste services team will be hosting pop-up events to hand out free biodegradable yard waste bags. The first pop-up will be held this Wednesday at September 23rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. That's at the Millbrook Exchange Park. You can get up to five free bags. Solid waste

services staff will be on hand to discuss the city's new service for residents. And that's your speed feed, Barbara. Over to you. All right, Amber, thank you. Well, new this hour, there are dozens of lawsuits filed against the makers of OZMPIC, Wagovi, and Zepbound, claiming that the GLP-1 drugs lead to a rare type of vision loss. And one complaint, a 53-year-old woman says she was prescribed to Zemphic to help treat her type 2 diabetes. She says within six months she developed vision loss in her right eye. Novo Nortis, the make of the drug, says that they take all reports seriously, but also are pushing back, saying the claims are without merit. Eli Lilly, which makes Zepvound said in a statement, patient safety is a

top priority. Doctors say more research is needed to understand the potential effects of the drugs. ABC 11 together is highlighting ovarian cancer awareness. Month and there is a big event this weekend in Raleigh to weigh awareness of the silent killer. The Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk and 5K helps to raise money for research and provide support to those battling the disease. The event will run Saturday, September 26th at Sanderson High School in Raleigh. There's still time to join either online or the day of the event.

And for the first time on camera, Patrick Clancy is speaking out following the death of his three children

and the trial of his ex-wife that ended in a mistrial. Right now at four, Lindsay Clancy's ex-husband breaks his silence after her murder trial ended in a hung jury. It's been nearly four years since Patrick Clancy's children were killed by their mother. During the trial, Patrick became the first witness. to testify for the prosecution. And now he is sitting down with 60 minutes

in an interview recalling how he was able to forgive Lindsay. I saw headlines that said, you know, killer mom and baby murderer, monster, and none of them were accurate. I believe that it was her mental illness that caused that. Well, now to concern. about AI and privacy, AI agents can feel like personal advisors for everything from medical issues to financial advice and more people have been sharing personal information with chatbots. Experts say it is important to know who has access to your AI data and for how long. The lead author of a study last year on AI and privacy says companies hold onto your chats to train their AI agents to work better. People disclose a lot of personal information to chatbots and part of that is the conversational nature of communicating with these tools. Once that data is being used for training purposes,

we don't really know kind of what they're doing with it. What data they're removing, how they're trying to clean it in advance, very little transparency, and we just don't know really what those processes look like from the outside. She says it's important to note that your chat history could also be used in court under subpoena. Chat GPT's policies say chats are retained until you delete them and that they are deleted chats are removed within 30 days. If you, you're not. You're you're using a version provided by your employer, they may hold on to that data a little longer. That's good to know. Next year at 4 highlighting Hispanic and Latin Heritage Month. And now we have a look at a Latina-inspired creamery who's mixing flavors from her heritage while serving ice cream. She's also working to spread awareness on mental health. ABC's Melissa Don takes us there. It can be kind of a best. She's taking our semi-soft ice cream and filling it inside of the ice cream cones for our tacos. Sue Mancini is the founder of Sad Girl Creamery, a small-batch Latina-owned creamery, featuring flavors inspired by Latin American desserts.

flavors are strawberry tres leeches. We do chocoflan, guava jam cheesecake. For the last six years, Sue has run her small business alongside her mom. My mom was definitely like the chef, chef of the house, and then I would make the dessert. How do you feel knowing that your mom is so proud of you? Definitely makes me really emotional. We're like, I mean, this isn't even the first time we've worked together. Turning their hard work into something sweet and meaningful. So the joke is people eat ice cream when they're sad. And when I first started on social media, I did like share a lot of my own experience with my mental health journey. It's not necessarily something we talk about. So it's like a mix of that and eating ice cream to get happy after you've been sad. And one of their

sweet treats turning lots of smiles is the taco ice cream. And then you're going to dip it in chocolate first. Wiggle off the excess chocolates. All right. And then just pat it into the peanuts and then they should stick. And that's it. And then you'll put it back on the tree. This is beautiful.

I fear my technique may not be like yours. After putting together our Mexican chocolate ice cream tacos and then freezing them, the best part was left. All right, so here's the strawberry 3 leches. That's really good. almost does feel like I'm actually just eating the real dessert and not ice cream. Sad Girl Creamery is also found inside several local L.A. shops, including right here, featuring some nice flavors, including Mexican hot chocolate, which I would say would make your sad day not so sad anymore.

First, the pilot Picasso, the pilot of a small plane, recreating the Mona Lisa painting with their flight path over Oklahoma and Arkansas on front. Friday. Check this out. This 3D visualization of the aircraft's path shows the image taking shape after the pilot took off from Arkansas. The pilot spent nearly four hours in the air as they completed the giant artwork according to flight data. The aircraft is registered to Benjamin McDaniel, a self-described pilot and artist who has posted numerous visualizations of many similar artworks on social media. She finished a 500 piece

puzzle in under 28 minutes. 2,400 contestants from 72 countries participated in the annual contest and the next jigsaw puzzle championships are in Norway coming up in April. Wow, good for her. Yeah, really fast. You know, we just moved in fast and we're hearing it above us some rain here. Rain, big time. Yeah, it's isolated. But if you get under one, it's going to be brief but heavy and there are slow movers too. So we're going to be dealing with that. You can see that on the radar now. Pop up little showers and thunder showers that are developing.

It's hot, it's humid. But just off to our north and west, we have some stronger cells. We'll keep an eye on that for a little bit later on for this evening. So not everyone's going to get the rain. It's mainly north and west of the triangle, but for some it will be a bit of a stormy evening. Unsettled over the next three days, a lot of clouds around, but at times they'll get some heavier downpours. Tomorrow's the best coverage, a little less coverage. coverage as we get into Wednesday and Thursday, but still unsettled nonetheless. And by Friday, it's really going to be pleasant as we get back to some sunshine and some pleasant conditions. The models are kind of insistent on showing the really heavy downpour staying up in Virginia. Don't take this literally. Just know that there's going to be a few storms around a little bit later on. Right now, the temperatures are in the low to mid-9.

It is hot out there for sure and we'll continue seeing of a very warm evening upper 60s to near 70. Evening thunderstorms will be around otherwise mostly cloudy skies. And then as we go to tomorrow, not going to rain the entire day. Might be a spotty shower early, but later in the day I anticipate some showers and thunderstorms. If it's late late, we might actually get a little bit warmer than that 83. But right now I've got 70s north, 80s around the triangle, mid 80s down in the sandhills. And with that front drifting to the south, that should trigger. the showers of thunderstorms across the area.

First of all seven day then look at the numbers dropping off after some locally heavy rain tomorrow. We'll still be unsettled with showers on Wednesday, but down to the 60s. Same thing on Thursday, likely going to be stuck in the 60s as that cold air is wedged in place. Clouds are going to be stubborn, still some spotty showers around by Friday will start to clear things out. 72 degrees, really nice weekend guys with temperatures in the 70s, lows in the lower 50s, Outlying areas will likely be in the 40s. The best person or disciplined person to me like sports and in life, go, it's parallel. So if he's going to work hard in this, he's obviously going to work hard in school or a real job. So you just try to build discipline, work ethic, and I think it all translates. I think no matter what I was feeling, what I was happy, sad, or after a game, whether we won or lost, like, no matter what, like, emotional state I was in, I feel like every

week or every so often he would ask me, is this what you want to do for a living? And every time did you answer the same way? Answer was always yes. Always. So it wasn't like, he forced me to play basketball. He forced me to wear a car. Like, it was mutual. And then once I got older and I understand what I was actually doing, it made more sense.
