Time to wake up, Carolina. Hopefully you're up already. I'm Bianca Holman. It's Sunday, April 19th, this morning on eyewitness news. We've got a little bit of rain in the forecast for today, but you know what, you guys, it won't be enough. The new water restrictions were still going to go into effect tomorrow in Wake County. So just ahead, how they want you to conserve water. And a community on edge after a shooting at Triangle Town Center that injured three people. What Raleigh police are saying about that incident. And family and friends remembering former Miss North Carolina, Carrie Everett, who lost.
battle with cancer. Let's go ahead and take a live look outside. A lot look outdoors if you have not
already stepped outside very different from yesterday you guys. We had sun was beaming. It was a beautiful
sunrise. We were spoiled yesterday. Steve. Temperatures were going up and now they're going down.
A quick downwards. It's going to be a little cool as we get into midday is we're going to probably
fall down into the 50s. No rain yet and I want to stress if you get some rain today you're going to be
lucky most of us are not and if you get some it's going to be a few hundreds of an inch.
That's the thing. This isn't really a rain event for us as much as it is.
Temperatures going down. We'll get some spotty light showers around.
The winds are going to pick up as well.
And then we might recover those temperatures a little bit later on.
The average of 74. Yesterday we did get to 93 degrees.
Our deficit now over two inches and it's going to continue growing.
You see the band of showers how it's weakening and waning as it gets closer to us.
Not much left.
Although there are some showers in the triad right now, Charlotte, a little damp.
Will that hold together?
It might.
Again, a lot of us, if we get rain, we're talking just a few hundreds of an inch or maybe just enough to get the streets a little bit damp.
Here's the latest run of predictor shows it holding together for some light rain midday.
And then once we get to an hour later, it's completely done.
The clouds are starting to break as we get to mid afternoon.
And then by the evening hours, I expect to see partly cloudy skies.
Right now we're cloudy in 66 and the variable breeze up to 17 miles an hour.
It's been blowing southwest, but now it's starting to start starting to.
turn more out of the north and west.
And you're seeing that now.
And temperatures are falling now down to the 50s where we started out much warmer than that.
So holding on to 67 in Raleigh and 70 down in Fayetteville.
Heading out tonight in the D-PAC and going to go see Tamil and David Mann, 63 when you walk in,
but 53 when you head back to your car, a little bit on the cool side and rather breezy at that time as well.
We stay a bit cooler through Tuesday than a nice warm up.
More on that coming up in a few minutes, Bianca.
All right, Steve, thank you. And as those drought conditions continue, the city of Raleigh, now bracing for new restrictions on how they use their water. Starting tomorrow on Monday, the new rules are set to go into place. So here's what we know about those rules and what we want to tell you about. If you're looking to run your sprinklers or in-ground irrigation system, you can only do so between midnight and 10 a.m. Also, homes with odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays. And homes with even-numbered addresses can water on Wednesdays. You can find the full list of restrictions on the city of Raleigh's website.
As those things get a little bit worse right now, it's a great time to go ahead and download the ABC 11 mobile app.
We'll send all the watches and warnings directly to your devices.
This morning we're learning new information about the shooting that happened at Triangle Talent Center.
Raleigh Police say the shooting Friday started when a fight broke out between three teens and a mall employee.
During that dispute, police say the mall employee fired shots.
The mall reopened Saturday at a food truck festival welcomed dozens of visitors.
But mall staff say they have increased security.
personnel by 50% since the shooting. Still, some shoppers say they had to think twice about coming.
It was like, you know, kind of got me on edge a little bit because it's just like, you know,
you need to be protected. It's one of the places you feel like you should be safe.
There's no word yet on if anyone has been charged. So Raleigh police say that decision now is
in the hands of the Wake County DA. Also right now, police are investigating a shooting that happened
at a Raleigh apartment complex. It happened in the Walnut Trace neighborhood near Rockquarie Road
just off the beltline. Our crews were there as.
As dozens of police you can see responding to that area, there were some yellow tape around
one particular car in the frame and there was also a gun on the ground.
We've reached out to RPD for more information on what happened.
We'll update you as we learn more.
This morning, a Raleigh police officer facing charges in connection to an off-duty domestic
violence incident.
According to RPD, Ryan Greathouse is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend
on April 12th at a home in the 6300 block of Lake Crest Drive in Raleigh.
so. He was placed on administrative leave during the investigation. On Friday, however,
Great House was fired by the Raleigh Police Department. He's facing multiple charges,
including domestic violence and false imprisonment. A memorial service being held for
former Miss North Carolina, Kerry Everett. The 22-year-old passed away Easter Sunday after a battle
with an aggressive cancer. Memorial service yesterday was held in Everett's home state of Washington.
The family says a North Carolina service will happen at a later date before Everett's remains are taken to Africa
where she'll be laid to rest in Liberia.
Some parents may be forced to find alternate child care May 1st,
while some local schools will be closed.
And local farmers protecting their strawberry crops
from drought conditions in the triangle.
But first, good morning, Steve.
Hey, good morning there, Bianca.
Good morning, everybody.
Got cloudy skies and temperatures starting to fall now.
Started out around 70.
Now we're in the 60s.
Still a bit milder down in the sand hills.
Numbers are going to be going down for sure.
And can you believe we could be talking about frost Tuesday morning,
all the details after the break.

Welcome back, everybody.
Good morning to you today.
Interesting day.
Temperatures are going to be coming down from the highs, which pretty much have already had.
Clouds around, spotty showers at times.
Don't expect a lot of rain, but there's going to be the potential that you could get some light rain today.
You can see the showers as they get closer to us to kind of falling apart.
Take a look at the radar.
A couple little light showers out by the triad.
But again, if you get rain at your house, it is not going to be much at all.
66 into North Hills. A breeze at 17 miles an hour.
Getting that wind shift now and most of the winds now coming in from the north and the west.
That's going to pull in some chillier air.
So these 60s are going to fall down to the 50s here in the next three or four hours or so.
And low 70s still down around the sand hills.
Baseball for it today, we're finishing up the series there in Wilson with the warbirds in Hill City.
62 as you're walking in.
So a little cool falling down to the 50s as we get a little bit later on game time there at 1 o'clock.
and it's pups in the park.
That should be fun to see for the first time there at that stadium.
So the East Coast will have some showers, more of it in the northeast.
Atlanta might get a spotty shower.
I don't expect a lot of delays, but if you're traveling to some of these cities,
just know you're going to have to deal with some rain.
And at times it could be a little bit on the heavy side farther off to the north
and some snow there in New England as well.
So far all the major hubs showing no delays.
Got you seven day in a few minutes, Bianca.
All right, Steve, thank you.
In Durham, the fire department working to learn what calls.
a large grass fire. It happened behind the eastern water tank near the intersection of
Austin Avenue and Pedigrew Street. Eyewitness was there. Eyewitness news was there as crews rushed
to the scene to put out that fire. You can see them running in the video that we have.
And they tell us that the fire started in the grass and dumpster. No injuries were reported.
The strainer for a moose appears to be closed again just days before the ceasefire expires.
The rising tension between President Trump and Iran. That story just ahead.
and the public war of words between the Vatican and the White House taking a different tone
what Pope Leo is now saying about the debate with President Trump.
And as we head to break, here goes a live look at downtown Raleigh.
Time to still get out and enjoy the day.
Like you heard Steve say, a little bit of rain, but not too much.
You can still get out and get some errands done this weekend.

We are local news. ABC 11 eyewitness news continues now.
Well, now to the showdown between the U.S. and Iran over the street of Hormuz.
Iran reimposing restrictions on the critical waterway and opening fire on two ships that were attempting.
to cross. President Donald Trump says the two countries are still talking but is warning Iran against
blackmail. ABC's Alison Kosick has more. Ships now under fire in the street of Hormuz as they
try to pass through one of the world's most critical shipping lanes. Audio shared with ABC News
captures the panic, an Indian flagged oil tanker radioing Iran's Navy as it comes under attack.
My name second on your list.
You gave me clearance to go.
You are fighting now.
Let me turn back.
That fear and confusion growing over the Strait of Hormuz, after Iran declared its reasserting
strict control, less than 24 hours after President Trump said the waterway was completely open.
We're talking to them.
They wanted to close up the strait again, you know, as they've been doing for years.
And they can't blackmail us.
A shipping monitor run by the British Navy said it received reports that two Iranian gunboats fired on one tanker, while another ship was hit by an unknown projectile.
India, later summoning the Iranian ambassador.
Iran says the strait will remain closed until the U.S. ends its naval blockade of Iranian ships.
But President Trump makes clear the blockade will hold until there's a deal.
In warning, U.S. strikes could resume if an agreement is not reached before the U.S. strikes.
ceasefire expires Wednesday. Meanwhile, Israel reaching a ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, as Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu signals support for a broader deal with Iran. Alison Kosuk, ABC News, New York.
Pope Leo, addressing his public debate with President Trump over the war in Iran, it comes as the
pontiff continues his historic four-nation Africa trip that he is on right now. Pope Leo has been
outspoken about his opposition to the war in Iran and called on leaders.
to stop the violence worldwide. So here's what he said to reporters.
It was looked at as if I was trying to debate again the president, which is not my interest at all.
The world is being ravaged by a handful of tyrants. It is held together by a multitude of
supportive brothers and sisters. The Pope's saying his recent remarks in Cameroon were about
tyrants that was prepared two weeks ago and not in response to President Trump. The Pope is now in the African
country of Angola. Tis the season for picking strawberries and for many families. They are making a day
out of it, the weekend out of it, but out there on the farm. But drought conditions, they are impacting
crops. Local farmers in the triangle, they're trying to do what they can to preserve their
existing fruits and vegetables. So you've gone here across the bridge and stay on here to the right.
Tons of families spinning the day at Page Farm. You got some more for your basket. I got a lot more.
Good day to come on out and pick some fresh strawberries.
We are loaded with strawberries best pickings of the year.
This 100-year-old farm has pumpkins in the fall and these bright red strawberries in the spring.
But this year, conditions aren't ideal.
Anytime when the heat gets up at the 9 degrees, strawberries don't like that.
So we pump water underneath that plastic and cool them down, and that helped to protect the bloom of the strawberries.
And strawberry pickers are thankful for the heart.
It was fantastic. There are so many red strawberries.
The drought has become so severe, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated 82
North Carolina counties as natural disaster areas, making farmers eligible for emergency loans
and other relief programs.
Fortunately, Page Farms has their own water source, but they are still on high alert.
We're okay for right now.
If the drought stays now when it comes to this spring, this summer, you know, then we're
we'll start worrying about the water.
When we had to start irrigating corn and the pumpkins.
Hoping for rain, yes.
All right, we all are hoping for some more rain to come.
And Steve, I got a chance to taste the strawberries.
They were so good.
Yes, they were big.
So, again, we got to support our local farmers.
So if you don't even have plans today, go out there, go to page farms,
and one of the many that are in our area.
Yeah.
And, you know, have some fresh strawberries, you know?
Make a strawberry.
Shortcake, parfays in the morning.
Yeah.
And you're right about needing rain.
in a big way. I mean, right now this is a driest April we've had on record.
Wow. Since we've been keeping records and it's the growing season. You know, so this is the
worst time. The worst time. Absolutely. Cloudy sky is out there right now. There's some
showers just out to our west. I'll show you the radar coming up. Don't expect much.
If your neighborhood gets a little bit of rain, you'll be one of the lucky ones. So it's a few
spotty showers around today. The winds are going to pick up and the temperatures are going to be
dropping. They've been dropping here in the last couple of hours already.
Chili mornings ahead, maybe some frost, especially Tuesday morning.
And then we're going to go right back to the 80s, starting Wednesday, and even flirting with upper 80s on Friday.
But all these days, the dew point's going to be so low with low humidity.
It won't feel that bad.
But we'll keep it quite warm as we head into next weekend.
Now, the question is later next weekend, I'm talking mainly on Sunday.
This is the European model.
It's a little bullish on bringing some decent rain to the area.
Fingers crossed, this holds.
It's a long ways out.
I don't like forecasting that far out, but still it does look like a decent chance that we could get some rain.
Speaking of rain, spotty little showers moved across the mountains.
We'll see if this can hold together, but look how it's just kind of falling apart.
And that's basically what we expect.
We might get a spotty shower today if you get some, not much, just a trace to a few hundreds of an inch.
And that's really yet.
A lot of us are going to miss out on the rainfall.
The temperatures will continue going down, though.
Midday, we're likely going to be in the 50s, and the wind's going to pick up.
So with a little chill to the air, we might moderate a little bit into the low 60s.
And then we're going to cool obviously as the sun goes down.
And by tomorrow morning, it's going to be rather chilly.
Now our model is insistent on that little band kind of holding together.
If this happens, great, but we're not going to get much.
Just a spotty little shower that might last in anyone location.
10 to maybe 30 minutes.
And that's it.
That moves on by.
We'll still see clouds this afternoon.
But notice the breaks in the clouds as we get later into the evening.
and then eventually becoming clear overnight tonight.
66 degrees at North Hill.
So we've dropped about four degrees in the last hour.
And the wind about 17 with some higher gusts.
And that wind coming in from the north and the west
already pulling in some of that cooler air.
And that cooler air is gonna make it
all the way down here a little bit later on.
The dew points are going down as well.
Look at how dry the air is going to get.
We could have dew points in the 20s late tonight and tomorrow.
And with the breeze tomorrow,
we might get a red flag warning from the national weather
service on the higher fire danger.
69 Tuesday, maybe little frost early on.
And then as we go into our Wednesday,
right back to the 80s as we get a wind shift.
And the 80s are going to be with us for the rest of the week.
So your high temperatures today really already happen.
These numbers continue to go down and the wind's going to be picking up a spotty
light shower.
And not everyone gets it.
Notice some areas 20, 30 percent other areas a little higher percentage chance.
That doesn't mean heavy rain.
It's just a higher chance of very, very, very,
light rain. And then eventually we clear out tonight and it'll be chilly. Upper 30s and low 40s to start
the day tomorrow and about 69 for the high. Maybe some frost around early Tuesday morning, a pleasant
afternoon. 80s come back Wednesday, Thursday, Friday could be in the upper 80s. Likely going to
have low, low humidity though, not going to feel that bad. Clouds increased Saturday. ALS walk,
fine. I don't have any issues, but maybe we'll get a shower late Saturday night. And then hopefully
Sunday, fingers crossed. That has more potential there, Bianca.

As we head to break, here goes alive looking to downtown Durham
as you wake up on this Sunday morning.
See what's happening.
This instant, ABC 11 eyewitness news starts right now.
Here's a live look into downtown Durham on this Sunday.
Good morning, Carolina.
It's April 19th.
Time to wake up and seize the day on this last day of your weekend.
I'm Bianco Home and you're watching eyewitness news on ABC 11 and wherever you stream.
The details of the top stories and all the day's news is just ahead.
But first, let's go ahead and check in meteorologist Steve Stewart.
As folks get ready to head out the door to either they're headed to church or they got some things with the kids,
head to the farms to go pick some berries, maybe.
You can do that.
Slight chance.
Light showers.
If you're lucky, you're going to get a little bit of light rate.
It's really the story today is temperatures are going to be going down instead of going up,
at least through the midday hour.
Winds are going to pick up.
And then we'll moderate the temperature a little bit later on for today.
If you get rain again, it's going to be incredibly light.
Right now we're anticipating seeing this 70.
Well, we already did see the 70 this morning.
It's now down from that in the 60s.
The winds can gust up to 30 miles an hour,
especially through the midday hours.
93 was a high temperature yesterday,
so nowhere close to that.
Most of the day is going to be in the 50s and 60s.
Now, this is a very, very dry month so far.
The driest on record,
only had a tenth of an inch,
and we're not going to add much today.
And most of the viewing area for the month,
or the last 30 days, actually,
we've only had 5% where we should be as far as rainfall.
So it's been incredibly dry.
Little spotty showers you can see on the radar
trying to hold together,
but they're falling apart
as well. So don't expect much in the way of rain as we go through the day. If you get some,
most of the models hinting in a trace to maybe just a couple hundreds of an inch. Now our model
tries to hold that little tiny band together that could be wishful thinking. Again, it'd be very
light. And then it moves out and it's over with. That's about it. So right now, we're looking at
cloudy skies in 66 and the wind's been picking up as well. And it's mainly coming in from the
north and west right now. And we're already seeing the 50s showing up. And those 50s should
make it down into the triangle here in the next two to three hours or so.
Head now to the Deepak tonight to see David and Tamala Mann, 63 when you head in,
about 53 when you head back to your car.
So maybe a light jacket, it'll be breezy at that time as well.
Yeah, we're going to be a little cooler all the way through Tuesday before another warming trend.
More on that in just a few minutes.
Bianca.
All right, Steve, thank you.
If you've done any grocery shopping lately, you have noticed the higher prices on just about everything.
That's especially true for the produce section.
And right now, tomato prices are just one produce that's way up there.
And people are getting creative on how they grow their veggies to combat the issue.
So here's our Achilla Davis reporting.
If you're anything like me, chances are you've noticed just how expensive tomatoes have gotten at the grocery store.
So instead of buying them, many people are growing their own.
And then to get the baby out, what we do is loosen up the roots.
It's not every day.
I'm in Durham at the Briggs Avenue Community Garden, getting a lesson on how to properly plant tomatoes from Master Gardener Claudia Hines.
Look at all those roots.
And now I'm going to let you take it.
She's been part of this community garden for four years, showing me what she's growing this season.
I have garlic here, strawberries, and telling me how it saved her money.
I do not have to go out and buy, like I said, tomatoes.
I didn't have to buy any more greens.
I can just come here, pick it, and make myself a fresh salad.
ABC News reporting grocery prices are up nearly 2% compared to last year.
But when it comes to tomatoes, the price jump is even steeper, up nearly 23% over this time last year.
One key factor behind the price hike is tariffs.
Food is becoming more expensive for a lot of reasons.
One of them is the tariffs, bringing things across the border, costs a lot more money.
Sherylann Berry manages the Briggs Avenue Community Garden teaching plot owners how to grow their own food and cook it.
She says this Saturday the garden is hosting its spring fling event, all aimed at tackling food insecurity in Durham.
We'll also have free vegetable seeds and flower seeds so you can come pick some things up and then grow your own.
Sherilyn says she's seen more people turn to community gardens.
And interest here at Briggs Avenue is so high, there is now a wait list for plots.
People like Claudia say they're realizing the cost savings.
You can grow those very, very expensive things and save your money for other things like fuel, the pasta.
In Durham, Akela Davis, ABC 11, eyewitness news.
Akita, thank you. We are learning.
Some local school districts are closing on May 1st.
As the North Carolina Association of Educators is encouraging teachers to call out of work that day.
Teachers are planning to rally at the legislature calling for more state funding for public education.
The Chapel Hill Carborough School Board has voted.

We'll keep you updated as more school districts make a decision about how to handle that date.
Now to your voice, your vote in the high-stakes Senate raised former Governor Roy Cooper announcing he's raised more than $13.8 million in his first quarter of this year to release a statement saying, quote,

Meantime, on the Republican side,

The CEO of United Airlines has floated the idea of possible merger with American Airlines.

It's time for a talk about sports, you guys. So the NHL playoffs now underway for the hurricanes. Let's get right to the ice and show you what happened.
NC State head coach, basketball coach, Justin Ganey sounded the alarm to get the crowd amped up.
Three seconds into the game, there was this, a fight, of course. Second period, no sense.
score. Cains get on the board first though. Third period and a key moment of the game. The Cains go up to nothing on a goal by Taylor Hall. The Cains go on to win to nothing to take on game one and here's what they said after. I think since the break our lines been clicking pretty good and we've been able to just find each other and I think we're all hungry to track Pucks and we're not afraid to go to the net. I had a pretty good idea. You never know. I think when they slow it down obviously from from those aims.
I had a good feeling that my glove wasn't really across the ice or sorry across the goal line but yeah I felt like I got a good piece of it.
Of course you're looking for goalies to make saves at the right time and that's the right time.
It's exactly the game right there and he was up for the challenge tonight.
Game two Monday night 7 30 at Lenovo center.
Meanwhile over in Durham Duke holding its spring football game a big week for Duke head coach Manny Diafell
awarded a contract extension earlier this week.
Duke team, they're going to try out a couple
of quarterbacks in the fall camp
due to the sudden departure of Darien Mensa.
Walker Eaget from San Jose State and Dan Mahan.
Those are the two rotating in.
Mahan got most of the work because the EGIT is still
nursing and injury.
Mahan threw for a couple of touchdown passes
on the day, but don't sleep on the Duke defense.
They picked off Mann twice and managed to score
more points than the offense.
Finally, some competition starting to form
throughout the roster.
Where we have been weak in the last two years is where we've not had great competition,
right, where guys feel that really sense of urgency that I got to bring it every day or potentially
someone else is going to take my spot.
And so the more we create that across the roster, the better off will be.
I think we have kind of like an edge about us because it may be a little bit of chip
on our shoulder because, you know, maybe didn't quite live up the expectations last year.
I think we're playing for each other.
We're a very selfless group this year.
opens the season on September 5th at home against Tulane.
It's time for 2026 NBA playoffs.
The year's moving by fast.
Phoenix Suns take on Oklahoma Thunder.

A new train soon be leaving the station at Pullen Park just ahead.
The train being rolled out this weekend.
And a food truck rodeo, but with a twist, find out why the food prices may be very affordable.
Something to check out today, Steve.
I think so. You are right.
Cloudy skies out there for now. Some spotty little showers are possible. Winds are going to pick up. Temperatures are actually going to drop from the 50s and 60s now, even some 70s down around Fayetteville as that cooler air filters in here midday. Guess what? We could be talking about frost Tuesday morning. All the details after the break. Welcome back. Everybody.

Buddy, happy Sunday to you.
We've already seen our high temperatures for the day.
The numbers are going to be coming on down.
I can't roll out a spotty little shower here and there.
A lot of us are going to miss out.
If you do get rain, boy, it's going to be light.
maybe just enough to get the streets damp and that's it.
You can see as it's getting closer to us, kind of falling apart there on the radar.
We're on the triad, had a little tiny sprinkle in a spotty shower in Charlotte.
Ozzar, a lot of us are going to miss out as we go throughout the day today.
66 now, that wind is shifted a bit.
The cooler air starting to come in.
We started out in some low 70s, already falling down to the 50s up around Roxburgh and Burlington,
66 into Durham and still 70s off to our south and east at this time.
Heading out to watch the Wilson Warbirds finish up their series with Hill City.
About 62. It's a 1 o'clock start time.
So midday low 60s, again, maybe a spotty shower, and then 57 later on.
And the breeze is going to pick up, and it's pups in the park.
That should be a lot of fun.
So the northeast is going to be the area that gets most of the rain today all the way down to Atlanta,
maybe a spotty shower there.
But some cities, probably not delays, but might have some issues if you're traveling.
DC, Baltimore, Philly, New York, Hartford, Boston, and Bangor all expect rain today.
So far this morning, the major hubs, though, looking pretty good.
Got your seven, eight in a few minutes, Bianca.
All right, Steve, we'll see in a moment happening today all aboard.

trying to hold onto their tents.
It's pretty scary stuff.
We are told no one was injured, thankfully, Steve.
But like you said, those coming and are typically seen in the desert conditions.
It's been like a desert here lately.
Hot and dry, yeah.
Hot and dry.
Like yeah, you said, no humidity in the air to kind of break things up,
a slight, you know, not too crazy.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's been a long time since I've seen one that big.
But yeah, the desert southwest that happens all the time.
Wow. But our temperature's taking a dip for a couple days.
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, below average, hard to believe, for a few days. We haven't said that for a while after this stretch of warmth that we've had.
Got the dark clouds out there right now. We're just missing the rain. Listen, you might get a spotty light shower today. It's not going to be much. A lot of us will not.
Temperatures are coming down. Winds are going to be picking up. So a little cool as we get into the midday hours, we could fall down into the upper 50s before a little recovery this afternoon.
do some chilly mornings ahead specifically Tuesday morning we could see some areas of frost and then a midweek warm up here we go right back to the 80s
matter of fact florida would 90 by friday but all of these days also feature really low humidity values with two points likely in the 40s in the afternoons
and then as we head into the weekend showing you the european model for next sunday it's a little bullish on trying to pull some moisture in here out of the gulf and bringing us some rain not gonna lock into this just yet but boy that would really have
help out in a big way because this is not. This is going to be more of a nuisance, if anything,
a few sprinkles, maybe make it up to person County right now with the radar, but just look
how it's falling apart as it gets closer to us. The front's pushing through already. We're just
not getting much in the way of rainfall. If you get rain, all the models are hinting at a trace
to maybe a few hundreds of an inch. So we'll keep that risk of a shower going through the midday
hours and then notice how we get down to the 50s a little bit. The winds are going to be elevated,
tiny recovery and then we're going to see those numbers coming all the way down to the lower 40s by early tomorrow morning.
So here's predictor showing that little band holding together as we get into the midday hours and that's really it.
And we'll continue with those winds coming in from the north at the surface.
We'll see clouds breaking apart and by later on in the evening hours, I expect to clear things out.
Right now, though, we're looking at cloudy skies and 66 degrees and a wind up around 17 miles an hour,
already seeing the cooler air filtering in mid-50s in Roxburgh after starting near 70 there this morning.
And we'll see that cooler air continue to push off to the south.
And the drier air, too.
The dew points are really going to come down.
Matter of fact, if these dew points do make it to the 20s and hold there tomorrow and another breezy day tomorrow,
we could have a red flag warning issue by the National Weather Service for increased fire danger.
Upper 60s on Tuesday after some, yeah, maybe frost in the morning, especially in the outside,
outlying areas. And then as we go into Wednesday, right back to the 80s and the 80s are going to stay with us for days all the way into next weekend, more than likely, until the next front moves on in.
60s and 70s. Well, we've already reached a lot of these numbers. These numbers are all coming down. It's an interesting day, temperature-wise, but everyone has some spotty shower chances and notice some are higher than others, but it doesn't matter as far as amounts. This is giving you the probability of very, very light rainfall, the farther south, and the way.
less amounts and then upper 30s and low 40s tonight as we clear out. So a chilly start tomorrow
and then around 69 for high temperature, maybe some frost around early Tuesday morning. Wednesday,
Thursday, we go back to the 80s, potentially getting up to near 90 on Friday, but humidity stays
really low. So it won't feel that bad. Increasing clouds on Saturday, maybe a shower in the evening
hours, better chance on Sunday. So walk ALS will be just fine and rather warm in the 80s.
All right, from 90s to possible frost, Steve, in the less than a week.
Okay.

The return of the beloved comedy brings more antics to the ER with the full season available to stream now.
It's a show about friendship and community, and I think people really respond to that when it's written well,
because everyone is longing for community and friendship, and this show is set in a high-stakes environment of a hospital,
and so when you put those two things together, people really responded to it.
